by Deandre Dean

Outside the mansion, Ginger stops in her tracks as Stacey turns around.

  Stacey asks, “What? Forget something?”

Ginger smiles and says, “No, not that. Do you think they’ll make it?”

Stacey grins and replies, “Absolutely. We got a front row seat of true romance. It’s rare and beautiful. And more than that, powerful.”

Ginger nods and states, “No matter what we’ll always be friends.”

Stacey says, “Duh. Sisters actually no matter what you decide I want to meet the vampire lord.”

That comment stomped Ginger but a tiny part of her understood and rationalized with Stacey. They needed to find out who the prophecy was about, lots of lives depended on it.

Two minutes later, Stacey taught her the spell to open portals and they were back home. Using magic was fun and exciting.

Back in her room, Ginger sat and wrote everything down. Allowing her words to fill the pages, as the words flowed so easily and helped her analyzed all that had happened today.

Hell it was only two in the afternoon, and she had a very exciting day. Before she could contemplate meeting the vampire lord, Spider was in her bedroom. Ginger jumped up in alarm and shock.

Her heart was beating rapidly and she thought, “He nearly scared me into an early grave.”

Spider smiled and said, “Excuse the interruption and beg your pardon.”

Ginger demanded, ”What are you doing here?”

Spider answers, “About to begin your first lesson,”

  Ginger says, ‘What?”

Spider responds, “You heard me. Children.”

He exhales and shakes his head, and Ginger can tell from his thoughts he thinks she lacks common sense.

Ginger states, “Hey, I do have common sense.”

Spider grins and replies, “Good. At least your telepathy is powerful if you’re able to read my ancient and powerful mind.”

Ginger smirks and responds, “No need to brag.”

Spider answers, “Not bragging if true. You ready?”

Ginger asks, “Really? Where we going?”

He grins and Ginger didn’t like the look of his mischievous eyes.

  Chapter 37:

Ginger wondered if Stacey could sense his presence, because she most certainly wasn’t able to.

She asks, “Do you know the vampire lord?”

Spider laughs and says, “Quiet well. He is an old friend of mine.”

Ginger demands, “Is is safe to be around him? Stacey and I want to meet him, or at least considering.”

Spider laughs and responds, “Very much so. He is a delightful fellow.”

Ginger nods her head and declares, “What do you know about my blood and the demon that my parents tried to hide my witch heritage.”

Spider looked grim and replies, “Everything unfortunately, my dear.”

Ginger gets giddy and says, “Please, tell me.”

Spider says, “I thought we’d practice you time traveling abilities.”

Ginger huffs and asks, “How? I can’t control them.”

Spider shakes his head and says, “Nonsense. It’s easy.”

Ginger mumbles, Yes for you perhaps. “

Spider responds, “Yes, for me and you too with a little training and guidance.”

Ginger smiles and tries a different tactic, “When do we get started?”

Spider nods his head, before she could sense magic being built up. Bam, they were outside at some park in the middle of endless grass.

  Ginger asks, “Where are we?”

Spider declares, “Isn’t it obvious? A park.”

Ginger huffs and says, “I can see that.”

Spider responds, “Then why’d you ask?”

She shakes her head, ignoring his jab at her.

Ginger states, “What do I do first?”

Spider replies, “Know what kind of time control you want to use. Stopping, reversing, or accelerating. I can do it all, including stepping into other universes in every time.”

Ginger asks, “Can I do that too?”

Spider grins and answers, “In time.”

  Ginger smiles.

Spider says, “Use your mind to picture a object in your past.”

Ginger replies, “Done. My blue Walter.”

Spider states, “Now bring it to you!”

Ginger snaps her eyes closed and concentrates all her energy. When slowly the fabricate the reality seems to slow down. A blue toy cow names Walter is in her hands.

  Ginger declares, “That was amazing.”

Spider grins and says, “Just like you, my dear.”

  Chapter 38:

The next thirty minutes Ginger worked on dragging things through time ripples of her past. Spider told her on day she’d be able to travel back there. This thrilled her, in the hopes to see her parents again.

Standing back in her bedroom, Ginger didn’t realized how tired she was.

Spider said, “Rest. Using your unique ability drained you some.”

  Ginger replies, “I’ll say.”

She laid down for a moment, she noticed that Spider was preparing to use magic to teleport away. She needed answers first.

Ginger asked, “What can you tell me about my blood donor?”

Spider sighs and responds, “His name is Jensen Sanders. He is from my past. Ask Hannah to help you locate him.”

She didn’t have a chance to thank him because Spider had vanished as suddenly as he appeared in her life. Ginger drifted off to sleep.

That night she dreamed of Hannah taking her to the man with all the answers.

When Ginger awoke, she’d call Hannah once she ate Sunday breakfast with the family. On her way down the stairs she smelted bacon sizzling and French toast.

Hannah was in her kitchen serving breakfast to her family.

  Ginger wondered, “Am I dreaming?”

Hannah says, “Morning sleepy head. Aaron and Stacey are leaving in twenty for church. You joining them?”

Stacey grinned as he ate her French toast, then asked, “So, you coming?”

  Ginger replies, “Maybe another time.”

Aaron answers, “No worries, there is next week.”

Yvette chimes in, “I would invite you to a movie or something, but I kinda have a date.”

Aaron says, “Wait a go kiddo.”

Yvette rolls her eyes and declares, “Stop it dad. It is just one blind date.”

Aaron responds, “Doesn’t matter. You’re open to trying to find someone. I found your mother from one date.”

He grins as he places his dishes in the sink.

Stacey says, “See you girls later.”

  Yvette nods and answers, “Tonight.”

Ginger turns to a empty kitchen and looks to Hannah before stating, “We need to talk.”

Hannah nods and responds, “You did summon me here.”

  Chapter 39:

Ginger stood up gasping to her childhood friend, who happens to be an angel.

Hannah says, “You summoned me through your dreams.”

  Ginger answers, “No, I didn’t.’

Hannah declares, “True, not your power. Just my bond with you kicked in and I entered your dreams and knew you wanted to talk.”

Ginger responds, “Try invasion of privacy.”

Hannah waves her off, as she began to do the dishes.

Ginger asks, “So guardian angel. Spider Grandhorn, elder extraordinaire thinks you can help me find Jensen Sanders.”

Hannah hums and replies, “No problem. Let me finish these first.”

Ginger gets upset and states, “You fly in here from who knows where and go no problem. You’re the answer to my problem.. Bull.”

  Hannah continues to hum.

Ginger says, “Whatever. I am going to go upstairs and change.”

Ten minutes later, a now more calmer Ginger comes downstairs to a empty house.

  Ginger wonders, “Where is she?”

A note is left on t
he kitchen counter with and address for Jensen Sanders.

  Ginger mumbles, “No frickin way!”

She stares at the address, and thinks no times like the present to get answers. Luckily Stacey left her car, as Ginger hops in and drives to San Francisco.

Ginger wonders, “What awaits me now?”

The end of book two, continue on this journey with Ginger and find out what happens next…………..
