He leaned forward, ignoring the pain. “Come here,” he said softly.
She closed the space between them, her lips meeting his. It was a sweet kiss, gentle, because she didn’t want to rile him up too much. But the feeling spread through her like sinking into a hot bath: the anticipation, the excitement, the affection.
This was the start of something good. Really, really good.
He rested his forehead against hers. “So, Goldilocks,” he said. “What’s our first destination? I know an amazing little island off the east coast of Bali . . .”
