“Wait. Your mate?” the redhead asked, looking closely at Jerry who clung a little closer to Colton.

“Jerry. Lee’s Jerry or a different one?” Dante demanded.

“The same,” Colton answered, turning back to Jerry. “Baby, I’ll introduce them. The guy in the leather jacket is Dante. That’s Crash and Mark, and Atlas and Joe.”

“Hi, nice to meet you all.”

The Alphas stared at him. Mark and Joe broke the silence.

“Same. Come sit beside me, Jerry, so you can tell me the juicy details about Colton and you,” Mark said, a devilish grin on his lips, but Jerry didn’t sense any malice from Mark. The other Alphas looked at each other, but those were uncertain looks, not judgmental ones.

“Does Lee know?” Dante finally asked.

“What’s with the tension? Oh. Wait. You’re the Omega Lee and Magnus rescued?” Joe asked.

  He nodded.

“Magnus knows, but—” Colton couldn’t continue, because one moment Colton and he held hands, the next, Colton was shoved to one side by a large and angry werewolf Alpha with dark brown fur.

“Lee!” he said in alarm as people made space for them. Colton must have decided he would have stood a better chance in wolf form, because clothes ripped and Colton shifted to wolf. In terms of size, they were equal and he’d seen the way Lee fought, too. Jerry didn’t want the two men to rip each other to shreds because of him.

He waded into the fight—tried to at least, but a pale and slender hand held him back.

“Magnus, let me go,” he said.

The vampire shook his head. “I tried to reason with Lee. If you interrupt, you’ll just get hurt.”

He glared, but Magnus’ grip was firm.

“Jerry, Magnus is right. It’s not wise to get in between two Alphas,” Dante said.

“Hey, take it outside, you two!” the huge hairy guy behind the bar yelled.

Lee and Colton seemed to take the bartender’s word as law, because they clawed and bit each other, spilling out of the bar and into the parking lot. Jerry and the others followed them out, and even some curious bystanders followed, but the other Alphas growled at them and they wisely retreated inside. Lee tossed Colton against the car and winced as Colton made a dent.

Sweat dripped down Jerry’s back. This wasn’t how he pictured tonight going down. He thought Lee would have at least tried to listen first before showing claws. He should have anticipated the worst. Magnus gave his shoulder a squeeze.

“Werewolves fight all the time, even over the smallest things. They just need to let some steam out,” Magnus told him.

“Well, I don’t know,” Dante drawled. “Lee looks serious, but Colton isn’t a pushover.”

“Dante!” Mark snapped. “You’re not helpful. Can’t you see how worried Jerry is?”

Dante grunted and apologized to Jerry. Crash childishly stuck out a tongue at Dante and was nudged sharply in the ribs by Mark.

“What was that for?” Crash demanded.

“For being insensitive. Atlas, you’re laughing,” Mark muttered. “Joe, withdraw sex so he’ll behave.”

“Mind your own business,” Atlas said.

Jerry had a feeling this friendly banter was common between them. Unlike a pack, these werewolves seemed at home with each other, more like family.

He was starting to like Colton’s friends and wondered why he’d kept making excuses not to meet them. Then again, it was a new beginning of sorts of him, if Lee and Colton would settle down.

“They’re going to tire out eventually,” Crash announced, and Jerry was dismayed to see the other Alpha eating some buffalo wings on a plate. When Dante tried to snatch one, Crash snarled at him. “These are for Mark and me only.”

“Are they always this childish?” he asked Magnus.

The vampire king wore an amused smile.

True to Crash’s observation, it seemed Lee and Colton wore each other down, because they slowed down. One had to give, and it was Colton who shed animal form first and returned to human, a show of trust. Colton held out a hand to Jerry, who ran to his mate and hugged him.

“Jesus, baby,” he whispered, stomach clenching at the sight of rake marks covering his mate.

“I’m already healing,” Colton said, eyes all on him.

“Is it bad I’m turned on right now?” he whispered. “You look so hot.”

“All torn up?” Colton asked, grinning, but they could both see Colton’s wounds started to close up.

“I can hear you two. Stop ignoring me,” Lee snapped. Lee had probably shifted back while they were talking.

Jerry turned to Lee and said, “Lee, we made this decision together. Colton’s the reason I’m standing here right now, in the parking lot of a noisy and crowded bar and not back at home, watching TV reruns, wondering where my life is heading.”

Lee didn’t interrupt, which was a good sign.

“Colton helped me get back on my feet. We’re mates. I knew that the moment we met and we fit.” Jerry had never been good with words, but it seemed he said the right things, because Colton hugged him fiercely.

“And you feel the same?” Lee directed the question to Colton.

“Even you mentioned I’m acting different. That’s because of Jerry. Thanks to him, I have less nightmares and I’m interested in living. I love him, Lee. He’s my mate and it’s time you let go, so I can cherish and take care of him now.”

Lee regarded them for a couple of seconds, before letting out a frustrated sigh. “I’ll take your word for that. If you ever hurt him—”

“Magnus already threatened me,” Colton interrupted.

  “Good. We’re clear then.”

“So, assholes. Are you done? Because I’m sure as hell starving,” Dante called out.

“I have spare clothes in the trunk of my truck,” Colton offered.

“You came prepared,” Lee remarked drily, but Jerry could see Lee was grinning. All was right with the world.

  Chapter Fourteen

“That was pretty intense, huh?” Jerry commented once Colton unlocked the door to his apartment. Colton waited a couple of moments for his mate to notice the change. Jerry froze and stared.

  “Where are all your furniture?”

“Packed away and ready to move. There’s no point in living apart, is there? I’ll move into your place and we’ll spend weekends at the cabin.”

To his surprise, Jerry turned and put his arms around Colton’s neck, smiling. “You’ve planned this.”

  A statement, not a question.

“Yeah.” Colton was a little worried Jerry would say no, because he wouldn’t have a place since he just sold the apartment, but it turned out he didn’t have anything to worry about. Jerry leaned in close, and he took charge, kissing his mate hard and rough. Heat coiled from his belly and went right to his dick.

Still wrapped around each other, Colton maneuvered them to the bedroom.

“Sneaky wolf,” Jerry managed to say once Colton released him.

“Clothes off,” Colton ordered, needing to be inside his wolf that instant.

They pawed at each other. Clothes fluttered on the ground, and they started kissing and touching each other again. He rubbed his dick against Jerry, and Jerry moaned.

“How do you want me?” Jerry asked.

“On fours.” He helped Jerry into position and stood in front of Jerry, grin on his face. “Get me ready, baby.”

Jerry eyed his dick, already at half-mast. “Looks like I don’t have to do much.”

Chuckling, he tangled fingers into Jerry’s hair and nudged his prick between Jerry’s lips. He still couldn’t get enough of the sight of his slender mate, taking all of his dick down his throat. With practice came perfection, and Jerry bobbed his head up and down his ridged length. Groaning, he tightened his grip on Jerry’s hair.

He let Jerry run the show a couple of moments, before giving Jerry’s hair a tug. “I want to finish in your ass,” he said.

  Jerry
pulled his mouth from his cock and nodded. He leaned down and gave his mate another sharp kiss, before taking positioned between Jerry’s legs. He reached down and gave Jerry’s length a squeeze. The Omega moaned. Jerry was close but so was he. Didn’t matter though, because he anticipated they would be going several rounds tonight.

“Ready for me, baby?” He pushed a finger in, amazed Jerry was ready for him, and added a second. After making twisting motions, Jerry was begging him for more.

“Fuck me, baby. Show me who I belong to,” Jerry whispered.

Holding Jerry’s waist, he slid in. He went slow and steady until he was balls deep and Jerry moaned a needy, lusty sound. Knowing what Jerry wanted, he started to hammer in and out of his mate.

  “So good,” Jerry murmured.

That Jerry could still talk meant he wasn’t doing that good a job. Colton fucked his mate faster until the slap of flesh on flesh filled the room. He groaned, lost in the sensation. Their wolves wrapped themselves around each other, completely content, sated. If this was what love and happiness were like, then he had no plans of letting his mate go. He meant every word he said to Lee. It was Colton’s turn to protect and cherish his mate, to show Jerry the love Jerry deserved.

He shifted the angle of his thrusts and must have slammed into Jerry’s sweet spot, because the Omega cried out. Smiling, Colton aimed for the spot repeatedly. At the same time, he fondled Jerry’s balls, started to pump Jerry’s dick, knowing full well Jerry was close.

  “I’m coming,” Jerry muttered.

  “Go ahead, baby.”

One last push was enough, because Jerry came, screaming out his name. Colton wasn’t done. He pistoned several times in and out of his Omega, a growl slipping from his lips as Jerry’s inner muscles clamped down on his shaft. With a growl, the pressure inside him burst. The room faded from his line of sight, and he shot his load into Jerry’s waiting ass.

They ended up on the bed, with Colton tugging Jerry close to him for an embrace. Jerry had mentioned he loved cuddling, and Colton found he was the same. There was something profound about simply holding someone, more intimate than sex.

He began stroking Jerry’s hair and Jerry sighed, turning his head into his chest.

“Tonight went relatively well,” he commented.

Jerry paused from acting like a needy kitten to look at him. “Lee and you clawed and raked each other, that’s good?”

Jerry touched his chest, but the claw marks Lee had made earlier were already healed, one of the benefits of being an Alpha werewolf.

“He’ll get used to us,” he amended. “How do you like the others?”

“They’re fun,” Jerry admitted, which meant the world to him.

  “Yeah?”

“I don’t mind knowing the others more, and it’s nice to be able to talk to other Omegas.”

“That’s good.” Colton had never seen Jerry look so animated before as when he was talking with Mark and Joe. He knew Lee and Magnus noticed the change, too.

Jerry leaned on his elbows to look at him. “It’s only going to get better from here on out, right?”

  “You bet, baby.”
