"I came up for some air," replied the girl airily as she moved towards them.

"You know the walls are off-limits. Now, what's this?" The guard grabbed her wrist as she was bringing her hand up to his face.

The girl tried to jerk back, but was held tight in the man's grip. "It's just my perfume bag," she squealed in a frightened voice. "See?"

The militiaman brought his nose closer to the bag and took a slight sniff. He relaxed his grip and the girl held it out to the other man, who also took a sniff.

"It smells pretty good," said the second man, who began to smile.

"Who cares about the smell," leered the first, with a tinge of red appearing in his eyes. "She looks good!"

Celine tossed the linen bag aside, while the two men scrambled to get out of their armor. She was soon on her hands and knees with one man in front of her fucking his thick, short cock in and out of her mouth. The other one had flipped her skirt up over her creamy ass and was pounding into her juicy cunt from behind. Per and Shara passed them by with only a second's delay where Shara stopped to pick up the linen bag.

"You know, with a hundred women and this pollen, I could seize this city without any bloodshed," said Shara, looking at the bag.

"Don't inhale any of it," warned Per as they made their way towards the gate. "You don't need the women, either. All you have to do is to have the guards breathe it. They'll be compelled to go find their own amusement. That was why the General destroyed most of it and locked Contico up."

They crept forward silently. Per could see three or four sleepy guards walking around down on the ground, but there appeared to be none up on the parapet. He set the box with Yayenski's body down carefully and pulled out Gola's grapple. The spikes on the grapple hooked tightly into the stone above the spot where the niches had been placed in the wall. With a grimace, Per picked up Yayenski's head and wrapped the rope around his arm before swinging over the edge of the wall.

Shara gasped in fright and looked up when she heard two men talking. They were up on the wall and coming towards them. Looking over the edge, she saw that it would take Per a minute or two to lower himself to the niches and put the head in place. It was time they did not have. Shara stood up and pulled her blouse apart to reveal a generous amount of cleavage. She then walked towards the two militiamen.

"Stop!" ordered one of the men. "What are you doing up here?"

"Just catching some night air," said Shara softly as she sauntered up to them and waved her hand under their noses.

"We'll have to hold you, hold you, hold...," stammered the first man as his eyes became tinged with red and he lost his train of thought.

Shara gasped in surprise when the guard pushed her down and backwards. She found herself sitting on the wall's stone floor with her back against the ramparts. The guard yanked down his pants, exposing his six inch dick. Before she could do anything, the guard shoved forward, spearing his cock between her luscious, red lips. Shara gasped around the cock fucking her mouth when she felt her blouse rip apart and her large breasts bounce free. A hand grabbed each of her meaty jugs and slapped them together around a hard shaft of meat. The second militiaman pressed her tits tightly around his prick as he started to fuck his hard tool between them.

Shara's instincts kicked in to suppress her gag reflex as the first man shoved his cock in and out of her mouth. Her throat muscles relaxed each time his prick slid in over her tongue. Despite a cock in her mouth and one between her breasts, Shara was detached from it all. Unsure of the aftereffects of the pollen, she decided not to do anything to stimulate the guards and give Per more time. It was only because of this detachment that she was able to hear more footsteps coming towards them.

Pinned as she was by the two pollen-sexed men, Shara could only look sideways. Her eyes widened in fright when she caught sight of a man making his rounds. He was obviously of a high rank being dressed in chainmail and walking with an air of authority. He stopped in shock at the sight.

"What are you men doing?" he asked angrily, striding forward. "Stop that at once!"

The officer attempted to pull the man titty-fucking Shara off of her. The guard was pulled partially away from her before he let go of her breasts and shoved the officer away. The officer, surprised by the strength of the shove, staggered backwards, stumbled, and fell. The guard turned back, painfully slapped Shara's tits together around his cock, and started pumping vigorously between her pliant mounds.

  "Enchantment!" hissed the officer.

He started to get to his feet, but froze when he caught sight of the grappling hook wedged in the parapet. Shara was mumbling around the pumping cock in her mouth, trying unsuccessfully to warn Per. A sound of a scrape on the stone wall galvanized the officer to action.

"Guards! Guards! Man the walls!" he shouted as he rushed over to where the rope went over the wall.

Per had heard the commotion above with the two militiamen and then the scuffle with the officer. He had lowered down to where the niches were in the wall for the three heads. Holding onto the rope with one hand, he managed to get Yayenski's head out with the other just when the officer looked over the parapet. Per jammed the head onto the spike in the niche as the officer yanked out his sword and swung at the rope.

Per screwed his eyes shut and braced for the impact of his fall. Nothing happened. He looked up quickly in surprise to see the ghost of Iona's grandfather gripping the swordwrist of the officer. The officer's sword fell free as his hand was numbed by the chilling spectral grasp.

The white, wispy image of Iona's grandfather was floating above the stone of his tomb as Per climbed back on top of the wall. The two guards on Shara were grunting as they approached their pollen-induced climaxes, paying no attention to anything else. Per could hear shouts and people moving about from the gatehouse below. He picked up the box containing the headless body of Yayenski.

"Is there anyway to open the second crypt?" he asked the ghost.

The ghost nodded and disappeared. Per looked down at the back of the gatehouse and saw around fifty militiamen gathered there. They all looked up when the huge stone slab grated noisily as it began to rise. He hurried over to the rising slab as the guards raced towards the steps. Per heard them pounding up the steps as he fretted before the slowly-rising stone. It had risen just enough for him to shove the box under it when the militiamen ran up to the top of the wall.

The guard fucking Shara's mouth grunted loudly and shoved his cock deep into her throat. Shara moaned in protest as she felt his prick pulsate and spew forth hot gooey sperm. With her nose pressed against his abdomen, she had no choice but to swallow down the entire load. The second guard quivered and he climaxed, shooting his wad all over her neck and upper chest.

Per shoved the box containing Yayenski's body into the alcove under the slab of stone, which was suspended in the air. The box crashed to the bottom of the crypt and he had to pull his hand back quickly as the slab quickly settled back into place with a dull, dusty boom.

Suddenly, the ghosts of Iona's grandfather and Yayenski shot up through the stone slabs covering their tombs. Yayenski's wrists and ankles were bound with black bands similar to the ones on Iona's grandfather. The militia stopped cold at the sight of the two translucent specters.

"Stop!" ordered Iona's grandfather in a hollow-sounding voice. "This being has fulfilled part of the prophesy."

"Which is why we need to kill him and remove what he brought," growled a man who appeared to be in charge of the others.

"That will not be allowed," said Yayenski. "Are you not of this city?"

"No, we work for Teamer and the Merchant's Guild," replied the guard. "C'mon, boys, get him!"

The guards began to advance again. Nervously backing up, Per prepared for their charge. In a flash, Iona's grandfather and Yayenski moved forward and militiamen began to fly up and over the outer edge of the wall. Pandemonium reigned. Guards cursed, yelled, tried to get away, or stabbed ineffectually at the two ghosts.

  Per
involuntarily winced as bodies thudded to the ground below. A couple of the militia made it back to the steps and ran down them for their lives. Per watched in shock as they floated back up, struggling to get free of whatever was holding them aloft, and were tossed over the wall. The two guards on Shara were negligently flipped over the edge and then Shara screamed as she felt herself being picked up.

"No, not her!" shouted Per. "Any women on the wall and not in armor are with me."

Shara's movement stopped with her poised halfway over the wall. She was then set back down on the parapet where she collapsed, gasping for breath in fright. Horns were blowing all over the city and Per heard the tramp of army boots resounding in the streets.

"We go to clear the wall," said Yayenski, who disappeared with Iona's grandfather.

Per stood still, hearing militiamen calling out in alarm and then in horror as they were tossed over the wall. There appeared to be only sporadic fighting within the city. He started to go over to help Shara when he heard footsteps coming up the stairs. He was surprised when he saw Teamer's head appear. The fat merchant had a sword in his hand and two bodyguards in tow.

"You!" gasped Teamer loudly, his lips curling in disgust, as he caught sight of Per. "You did this! You have brought on our ruin. Where are my guards? I put my most loyal troops here."

"Down there," said Per, pointing over the wall and moving around to place himself between Teamer and Shara.

Teamer waddled over to the edge and looked down in profound shock at his men below. Several had been killed by the fall, but most survived with broken bones, concussion, sprains, and bruises. Teamer started shaking visibly as he backed away and his eyes had a wild look to them.

"It all ends with you," Teamer said softly. He spun around to face his last two men. "Kill him! Any price you want! Just kill him!"

The bodyguards looked at one another and then nodded. They crouched down in to a combat stance, while Per circled to one side to keep them in front of him. Teamer moved back, confident in his men's abilities. Per adjusted his sweaty grip on Dorgeth's hilt as his adversaries moved apart.

The two bodyguards moved with assurance born from experience. Per shoved Shara behind him and moved to the center of the parapet. He had to keep the two of them in front of him. Per was pretty sure he would not last long if they managed to get on opposite sides of him.

"Looks like he wants to play, Byorg," said one bodyguard.

"Oh, good! I hate it when they just give up, Gustav," said the other.

"Run," ordered Per to Shara. "Try to get back to the stables."

"They're blocking the stairway and I have no desire to pick my way through an unfamiliar city with armed men everywhere," commented Shara.

"Well, move back then," he snarled as the two bodyguards moved forward.

Gustav swung at Per, who blocked the stroke on his shield as he parried Byorg's thrust with Dorgeth. He spun away and had to move back as Gustav tried to cut him in the leg. The fight descended into swings, thrusts, and parries for Per. His superior field plate armor stopped a few of the blows he could not block. His counterstrikes were few and far between as he had to be completely on the defensive. He did get one good kick into Byorg's stomach when the bodyguard tried to get around behind him. It cost him though - Gustav nicked his shield arm while Per was recovering his balance.

Gustav moved back to cover Byorg to allow him to get back up on his feet. The three adversaries stared at each other as they panted heavily from the exertion. Per could feel the sting of the cut, but realized it was superficial.

"That's quite a woman you have there, Per," said Teamer in the silence, looking over at Shara. "Why don't you come over her, my dear, where it will be safer?"

"You can't afford her," gasped Per.

"Nonsense," commented Teamer. "Everyone has a price." He looked at Shara again. "What would you like to have to come over to my side?"

"I want to be Queen of Delta," said Shara with a smile.

"You do dream big," said Teamer in admiration. "I'll have to get rid of my current wife, but that should not be a problem."

"You misunderstood me," said Shara flatly. "I don't want or require a husband to reign here. I think I would do better as a sole ruler."

Teamer straightened up, affronted by her comments, and his face screwed up in rage. "Kill them both."

The fight resumed with additional venom. The three men all knew the outcome could only be settled by death. Per was still on the defensive, giving up ground as he parried and blocked the two bodyguards' attacks. Unfortunately, there came a time when he had to step too far to one side to dodge a stroke from Byorg, allowing Gustav the opportunity to move around him.

Per was sure it would end quickly now that they had flanked him. He was surprised though when Gustav recoiled back from being hit in the front of his helmet with a small linen bag.

"Watch the other one!" yelled Shara. "This one is mine!"

Per turned to face Byorg, realizing what was going to happen behind him. He attacked, forcing the bodyguard back for the first time. Byorg jumped back, disengaging from Per to give himself some breathing room. "Gustav, what are you doing?" he shouted, in confusion. "Attack him! Attack him now!"

"He can't hear you," said Per. He heard pieces of armor dropping onto the stone walkway. "Even if he could, he can't resist what he is feeling."

"Look out, Gustav!" screamed Byorg, just as Per heard the unmistakable sound of an edged weapon thudding into flesh. The sound recurred several more times.

"He was my best friend and partner," snarled Byorg. "I'll kill you both."

"You two should have gotten into a safer business," replied Per.

Byorg rained down a series of blows, but Per blocked and parried all of them. His counter-attack seemed to catch Byorg by surprise and his mighty blows dented and rent the man's shield to useless metal. Byorg and Gustav were unstoppable, but only when working as a team - Byorg had not trained as an individual fighter in years. The end came swiftly. Byorg launched a strike-parry-strike combination move, but overextended himself. Per loped off Byorg's sword arm at the elbow.

Byorg screamed in pain and clutched the stump of his arm. Blood squirted out from between his fingers as he collapsed onto the walkway. Per snatched up a nearby torch and knelt down on top of him. He pried Byorg's hand away from the wound and pressed the burning end of the torch against the severed flesh. Byorg screamed again in pain as his flesh burned and hissed. Per continued to cauterize the wound until the bleeding had stopped. He looked down in disgust at the blackened flesh before jumping up to race over to Teamer. Teamer fell over backwards in an attempt to get away.

"This is what you brought your men to," hissed Per in anger.

He grabbed Teamer by the hair and held his head up so he had to look at Byorg laying on the walkway with half of his right arm gone. Gustav was half undressed, lying in a pool of his own blood with a dozen stab wounds to his back.

"Let me go!" yelled Teamer in fright. "You have no right to touch me. Hurt me and the Merchant's Guild will hunt you down!"

Per snorted. "I've had assassins after me by royal decree. Do you think your precious Merchant's Guild is going to frighten me? My head is not going above the gate, but I think yours will do nicely."

Teamer's scream of protest was cut short as Per negligently swung Dorgeth around back-handedly and slice his head off at the neck. The body stood upright for a couple of seconds, spurting twin geysers of blood up into the air, before collapsing backwards. Per wiped his blade on the dead man's expensive clothes.

Per dragged Teamer's body back to the stone slabs. There were faint sounds of fighting still going on in the city. He stopped, dropped the head, and pulled out his sword again when he saw a group of armed men coming up the stairs to the parapet.

"It's alright, Per," said Shara. "It's the army."

They walked forward and were met by a young captain. Contico and Celine were also there.

"Teamer, isn't it?" asked the capta
in. "We control most of the city, Lady Shara. I did expect more casualties from the militia on the wall - amazing that they all left their posts."

"I don't think they had a choice," said Per tiredly.

"My units report that the only place still under Merchant control is the palace keep," said the captain. "What should we do with the body?"

"Get your men to lift up the last stone slab," said Per. "I'm putting his head in the last niche."

"It's as good a place as any," replied the captain.

Per hooked his grapple onto the battlements and climbed over the wall. Below him on the ground, the soldiers were disarming and rounding up the militia who had survived being thrown off the top of the wall. Per swung over to the last empty niche with Teamer's head. With a sigh of relief, he jammed the head on the spike.

A white light burst forth from the niches. Yells and shouts echoed up from below. Per almost lost his grip on the rope, but managed to hang on despite being temporarily blinded. The white light blinked out and, as the spots cleared away from his vision, he could see that the niches had been transformed into solid stone with three granite heads looking out. Per quickly climbed back up and over the battlements just as the captain's soldiers were lowering the stone slab back into place.

"That was unexpected," said the captain dryly. "Shall we go to the palace now?"

"There is a severely wounded man over there," said Per, pointing in Byorg's direction.

"See to him," ordered the captain to a soldier by his side. "Shall we go?"

They all followed the captain down the stairs where they joined up with two squads of soldiers. They made their way through the streets under a lightening sky. Per saw some bodies in the street, groups of militiamen being held captive, and soldiers advising citizens to remain indoors.

As they approached the palace, they were met by another officer. The new officer talked for a few moments with the captain. The captain left with him, leaving Per and the others under guard. He soon returned and approached Shara.

"My apologies for leaving you, but I wanted to see the situation for myself before I brought you closer," stated the captain. "They have holed up in the palace and it is dangerous to get too close."
