“Shid, you can be with me.”

After he said that, I rolled my eyes so hard. Kipp had been nothing but my sex slave while I had Glory on punishment.

  “Shut up, Kipp.”

“You asked. But say… why Divine call this meeting? What’s going on?” he asked.

“Chola asked her to call that meeting.”

“And who the hell is Chola?”

“Kipp, you don’t remember shit. Chola, the girl that Divine be getting all her drugs from.”

“Damn, for real? How much Divine have to pay for a brick?”

“I don’t think she pays anything. She just gives Chola money from the profit.”

  “Like how much?”

“Damn, Kipp, I don’t know. Chola is her girlfriend, so she don’t pay her much anymore.”

He leaned up really fast. “What? The plug is her girlfriend? Maaaaaan, tell Divine to stop tripping and give us a deal. Stop taxing us so much.”

I laughed. “Nah, she don’t tax y’all much at all. Besides, Chola wouldn’t let her go lower than what she is now. She already cheap. She even went down a couple thousand. Don’t get greedy.”

“You think she’d introduce me to Chola so I can deal with her directly?” Kipp asked.

I gave him the side eye. “See, now you making me regret telling you that. Even if Divine introduced you, Chola’s mean ass wouldn’t want to deal with you. She likes it this way.”

“That’s ’cause she ain’t met another nigga like me,” he boasted with a cheesy grin on his face as he walked over and stood in front of me.

I was sitting on the bed, and with him being so tall, his dick was in my face.

  “Stop playing.”

  “Suck it.”

  “What? No.”

“Girl, suck this dick and shut the fuck up. You know you want to,” he said, pulling his dick out and rubbing the head against my mouth.

“Whatever,” I said as I licked the tip.

Kipp had some good dick, but it just felt different with Glory; the person I loved. Being that he and Glory somewhat looked alike that’s who I kept in mind every time Kipp and I had sex.

Kipp and I started messing around about a month ago when I dropped off his bricks. I was in my feelings because Glory was on some bullshit, and I just slipped and fell on Kipp’s dick. Not literally, but the equivalent. It wasn’t supposed to happen, but it did. And I liked it.

“Suck that dick,” he moaned as he grabbed my head and guided me in sucking it.

  “Neiman!”

I looked up and saw Divine and Chola standing there. Chola was laughing her ass off.

“What?” I asked with a mouth full of dick.

  “Have you talked to Malina?”

  “Fuck no.”

I took Kipp’s dick out of my mouth. I didn’t even know her and Chola were back from the store. If I would’ve known that, Kipp would’ve been gone.

“Well, get dressed. The meeting is soon.” She shut the door.

“Was that Chola?” Kipp asked as his grey eyes pierced through me. He pulled his silky dreads behind his shoulders.

  “Yeah.”

  “Damn, she fine as fuck.”

“Shut up and get out. I’ll see you later,” I said, walking him to the door. When I finally shut the door, Divine was standing right there. “What?” I asked.

  “Nothing at all.”

She walked to her room and shut the door.

“Damn, all these people here for the meeting?” I asked Lu Lu as we walked into The Dutch, a popular restaurant that sat on the beach.

“Well, she told us to bring all of our men,” Lu Lu responded as we went and found a table next to Glory. I was told that the place would be rented out, but it was still a nice amount of people.

“This a lot of people though,” I said.

“Yeah. My men, Glory’s men, and Kipp’s. Then we have the people who work for our head men in charge.”

“Damn. It’s a few bitches in here too. Have you met Chola yet?” I asked him.

“Once, but that was a while back when I was cool with Bishop,” Glory said, chiming in on our conversation.

Finally, I saw Divine walk in with Chola. Instantly, the entire room grew quiet. Their presence spoke volumes and it could burst any speaker. I looked around and saw that everyone was having a seat and not standing around talking anymore. all the seats were facing the front.

Chola stood behind Divine, and several men dressed in all black stood behind Chola. Divine began to speak and explain what was going on. She always implanted new ground rules.

“Damn, she ain’t come to play with our asses,” Glory whispered as Divine spoke.

  “Who?”

“Chola. She putting her heels down.”

“You mean she putting her foot down?” I asked.

“Nigga, I know what I said.”

  “Just saying,” I said.

“Annoying ass,” Lu Lu said to me.

I looked around and saw that Neiman and Kipp were sitting right by each other. “I’ll be back, I have to go to the restroom,” I said to Lu Lu.

“Wait up. I need to go to,” he said as he stood up.

We quietly went to the back where the restrooms were.

“I’m ’bout to kill everybody in this mothafucka,” I heard a voice say as we got closer to the back.

I looked at Lu Lu to make sure I wasn’t tripping. He put one hand over my mouth and told me to be quiet as he took his gun out and pulled me into the janitor’s closet.

  “What’s going on?” I asked.

“I don’t know. That’s what I’m trying to see. Shouldn’t nobody be talking like that in here right now,” he whispered as he cracked the door.

I saw Monty, Jenson, and some other guy pacing back and forth through the hallway.

I grabbed my strap from my purse. “I’ma kill that mothafucka,” I whispered to Lu Lu.

“We just gonna blow this bitch up,” Jenson said.

“Nigga, no the fuck we not. We ’bout to have our men run up in here shooting and grab Divine on the way out.”

“Why we just can’t kill that bitch?”

The unknown dude shook his head and laughed. “How the fuck we gonna get that money if we kill Chola’s most prized possession?”

“Man, fuck that shit,” Jenson and Monty said.

“Don’t end up like Bishop, nigga.”

“Yeah, whatever. Call the men and let’s do this.” They all went out the back door.

“A bomb? Oh my God, Lu Lu. What do we do?” I asked. I’d never been in this situation.

“You go interrupt Divine’s speech, and I’ll go get Glory, Kipp and the rest of our men. But for now, get out of here.” He pushed me out the hot and stinky closet.

I walked out nervously. I didn’t want to stop her from talking, but I didn’t want to die either. When I rushed up to her, the men in black rushed to me and held me back.

“I need to talk to her,” I whispered, not wanting to cause a ruckus. All eyes were now on me.

“Let her through,” Divine said. I fixed my collar, mean mugged the men, and walked over to Divine.

“This better be good,” Chola whispered to me.

“Listen. Everyone needs to get out of here. Monty, Jenson and some other dude are in the back, and I think it’s a bomb inside,” I whispered.

Chola and I started to look around. I saw Lu Lu, Glory, Kipp and some more niggas rushing to the back.

  “The other guy?” Divine asked.

I was in a rush so I really wasn’t trying to go into details right now. “I’ve never seen him before.”

“It has to be the one that’s behind all of this,” Divine said.

“Call the meeting off,” Chola said to Divine nonchalantly.

“Sorry for the inconvenience, but if I could get everyone out the side door, that would be perfect,” Divine said.

Everyone started to bitch and moan, asking why.

&
nbsp; Divine grabbed a choppa from one of her men, cocked it and shot it in the air. “Because I fucking said so! Now if you don’t want to die or be broke, get the fuck out! One of you mothafuckas is a traitor, and now someone has a bomb in the building!” Divine yelled.

Out of everything she had just said, all them niggas heard was “bomb in the building” because that’s all I heard them yelling as they ran out the side door.

Divine, Chola and their men all prepared to walk to the back.

I sped up to her so I could tell her something else. “They’re trying to kidnap you,” I said.

She didn’t answer. They had their weapons drawn and were running to the back, so I followed close behind. Before any of us even got to the back, gunshots rang out. My reflex almost caused me to hit the ground, but when I saw Divine and Chola running faster toward the shots, I ran too. We burst through the back door and saw shots going everywhere.

Jenson and his people came deep as fuck. Chola’s men ran out and hopped over cars and shit, making sure to get face shots. Chola started shooting after she saw Divine letting her choppa bang. Just as I was about to start shooting, I saw Monty throw in a black device. Naturally, I thought it was a bomb.

“It’s a bomb!” I yelled and then for a quick moment all the shots ceased. All of a sudden, smoke started coming from the bombs. I wasn’t an expert, but I’d seen plenty of movies to know what a smoke bomb was for. This was so no one could see them. This would be the perfect time to kidnap Divine. So instead of running toward the door, I ran toward the exit where they had to drive out at.

  “Ahh!” Divine screamed.

  “Divine!” Glory yelled.

“Get them!” I heard Chola yell.

Then I heard tires screeching. I had a few seconds to think. I saw a dead man at my foot and he had a machine gun, so I picked it up. When the SUV came speeding, I looked and saw Divine in the back.

  “Get down!” I yelled.

When I saw her duck, I let bullets rain all over the truck, instantly killing the drivers. The SUV crashed into a dumpster. Jenson, Monty, and the other guy hopped out. Monty went back for Divine. I tried to shoot, but I was out of bullets.

Glory came running around the corner, blasting at Monty.

“Shit!” Monty yelled, grabbing his arm. He was hit.

A red car pulled up and picked him up. Then they sped off. Divine hopped out shooting at the red car, but they got away.

“Who the fuck was that?” Glory asked.

Divine looked at Chola, who’d just run around the corner, out of breath.

“Where is Malina?” Divine asked, looking at Lu Lu, who had also run around the corner.

  “I don’t know,” he responded.

“Where did Neiman go?” she asked, looking at Glory.

  “Shit, you tell me.”

“Kipp? Where did Neiman go?” Divine asked.

“How would I know?” Kipp asked, looking at Glory from the corner of his eyes.

“This is not the time to play stupid,” Chola said.

“She ran across the street with everyone else,” Kipp finally said.

Glory looked at Kipp like he had stolen money.

“Get Malina on the fucking phone! And Get Neiman in my fucking car!” Divine yelled as she stormed back toward the restaurant.

“What’s wrong?” Chola asked Divine as she walked past.

“I need to know why the fuck Percy just tried to kidnap me!”

  Chapter Eight

  Malina

I felt like a stalker bitch sitting outside Slick’s home, waiting to see something. I had been in Dallas since last night and had been watching Slick’s place ever since. I started to text him and tell him that I was in town, but decided against it. I wanted to pop up so he wouldn’t have a choice but to see me.

Finally, I saw his door open. I got excited until I saw his ex-girlfriend, Tayla, walking out with a big smile on her face. Instantly, my blood pressure rose sky high. I could tell by the way my head was now spinning.

“You left your bag, baby!” Slick yelled right before she got into the car.

She jogged back, got her bag and kissed him. “Thanks, baby. See you later. I love you.”

“Love you too,” he said before going into the house and shutting the door.

  She drove off.

I had something for that bitch, but I had to deal with him first. Just as I was about to get out, my phone started to vibrate. It was Divine. I didn’t answer. I had way more important shit going on.

Grabbing my purse, I hopped out my rental and walked to his front door. To cause a scene, I started kicking on the door. I didn’t give a fuck. I was mad and wanted it to be known.

“Yo, what the fuck wrong with you?” he asked, swinging the door open.

I rolled my eyes and walked inside. “So that’s why I ain’t heard from you? You back fucking with that hoe?” I asked.

Somehow, tears found their way out of my eyes. I didn’t understand. Was I in love with Slick?

“Man, it ain’t even like that,” he said.

Slick looked even better than before. He already had tattoos everywhere on his Hershey’s Kiss skin, but he’d gotten way more in the last few months. Since he didn’t have a shirt on, I saw that he had a fresh tattoo that said Cold Hearted. And he still didn’t get Divine’s name covered up.

“Then what’s it like? Did you set me up?”

  He screwed his face. “What?”

“That night you told me to wait on you at the café. How did Bishop know that I was expecting an Uber?” I asked as the tears fell more heavily.

“What? Okay… wait… back up.” He sat down and pulled me into his lap.

“I texted you and told you everything.”

“I don’t have that number anymore,” he said as he wiped my tears.

  “Why?”

“We’ll talk about that later. Now, what? Bishop what?”

“That last night you talked to me, I was picked up by Bishop.”

“Word? I heard you say a name, but I didn’t make out whose it was.”

“He held me for ransom and raped me over and over. He tortured me,” I confessed as I cringed at the thought of what had happened to me.

  “I didn’t know that part.”

“What do you mean that part and why aren’t you shocked? Did you have this done to me, Slick?” I asked as I feet hit the ground. He didn’t say anything, just looked down at his Gucci flip flops. “Slick! Answer me!”

  “No, I didn’t.”

“Then where were you? Huh?” I asked. I needed an answer.

“Look, Divine came to see me shortly after they got you back.”

“And?” The fuck was she doing coming to see my man?

“She basically told me that it was my entire fault, and to stay away from you.”

“And you fucking did it?” I asked, wondering where in the actual fuck his balls were.

“Look, I didn’t want any problems, okay? And maybe Divine was right about it being my fault. Shit didn’t hit the fan until I came to see you.”

I walked over and sat in his lap. “Don’t you ever feel like that. You hear?” I grabbed his face and kissed him, but he didn’t kiss me back. “What’s wrong?” I asked.

“During the time we had apart, I’ve decided to work things out with Tayla.”

  “You what?”

“I’ve hurt her enough and don’t want it to be any bad blood with us.”

“But I love you,” I said.

  “And I love her, Malina.”

My heart bled all out right then and there. Hearing those words hurt me more than Bishop.

“So this is Divine’s fault?” I asked him.

“No. Nothing is her fault. She was just looking out for you.”

“Why are you fucking always taking up for her?” I asked with an attitude. He did that shit in Miami too.

“Because, Malina, you being real irrational right now.”

  “Irrational? And you us
ing big words now?” I asked.

He stood up and walked to the front door. “My girl will be back in a lil’ while, so can we talk about this later?” he asked.

As soon as he opened the door, Tayla was right there. I could tell she was just about to put her key in.

“Hey, baby, I left my Kindle,” she said, running up the stairs.

I guess since I wasn’t Divine, she wasn’t worried. But she had another thing coming, and he had me fucked up.

Putting my purse on the table, I waited for her to make it down the stairs. The minute she was about to walk off the last step, I knocked her bitch ass over and starting going all in her face. “Get off me, crazy bitch!” she yelled as she tried to windmill, but I had my foot in her chest.

“Stop!” Slick yelled, trying to pull me off of her, but my rage overpowered his strength.

“Ahhh!” I yelled like I was King Kong as I dragged her off the steps and slung her onto the coffee table, immediately breaking it.

That’s exactly when Slick had enough. “Get the fuck out!” he yelled as he picked me up and literally threw me outside along with my purse. He looked at me like I was the scum of the earth before he slammed the door in my face.

“Slick!” I yelled, banging on the door and crying. “Slick! Please!”

Still no answer. I did this for an hour until I finally saw that it was no use. I was worn out; physically and mentally.

I went to my car and sat on the trunk. Everyone was now on their porch looking at me and talking to their friends about what had just happened. I was in the mood to shoot this whole bitch up.

Now my issue was with Divine. This was all her fault.

  Chapter Nine

  Divine

“Malina got me fucked up,” I said to Chola as Malina sent me to voicemail for the last time.

“I told you where she is,” Chola said as she painted her toes at the end of my bed.

“But how are you sure?” I asked. Malina would be dumb as hell to be in Dallas right now.

“When she came in yesterday, she was on the phone and booking her flight.”

“I could just slap her. She just ain’t gonna ever learn,” I said in frustration.

On top of that, Neiman still hadn’t been home or called me. Everybody was suspect.
