The second I suck him deeper into my mouth, he comes undone.

I swallow everything he gives me while looking up at him through my eyelashes.

He fists my hair even tighter. “Such a good girl. You make me proud.”

He lifts me up, holding me against his body.

His thick arms are around my neck and my head rests against his chest. He keeps kissing my head as he holds me.

With this man, I found everything my heart ever desired—love, family, adventure, abundance.

He holds my hand as he shows me the world, and then takes a step back and looks at me like I’m his whole world.

  “Leo?”

“Hmm?” The sound rumbles from his chest.

  “I love you.”

  “I love you too, Belle.”

And then he kisses me—oh so softly.

After he fucks me like I’m something he paid for, he kisses me like it’s his greatest honor to do so.

“I did something,” he says. “Promise you won’t get mad?”

“I’m sure you’ll find a way to earn my forgiveness,” I say, my thighs still tingling from his stubble.

“I saw you looking at the brochures.”

  “No.”

“And I took the liberty of applying to a few of them for you.”

“No. I’m going to kill you.” I swing my legs around the bed, standing up. I walk over to him, cornering him into the wall.

He grabs my wrists and whirls me around with ease.

My wrists are bound to the wall, and my ass is against his shaft.

I make my body writhe, hoping it’ll distract him. He just holds me tighter, pinning me to the wall with his body.

His cock starts to grow for me, and I’m the one who ends up getting distracted.

  I moan. “Let’s talk.”

“Okay. Talk.” With the last word, he pumps his hips lazily.

“You-you didn’t have to do that for me.”

“Belle. Don’t think for one second that I’m going to ignore your dreams.”

“I wiped blood off your shoulder one time. That does not make me qualified to become a nurse.”

“No,” he agrees, letting go of my wrists. “Getting some training will make you qualified.”

I turn around, and look up at him. “Do you really think I’ll be good at it?”

“It’s a natural extension of who you are, Belle.”

  “But with the twins…”

“I’ll be there for all of it. The kids could be with me while you study. I’ll bring them to you during your off-times.”

  “You would do that?”

He shakes his head like he can’t believe me. “Even after everything that we’ve been through, you really want to ask me that?”

I bite my lip. “So this is what you’ve been doing on your laptop this whole time. Applying to nursing school for me.”

He nods, kissing me on the tip of my nose. “Let’s go check on the kids.”

We brought them with us to Greece—all four of them. They have their own hotel room, and Luna is staying with them.

Leo and I find their door wide open.

The twins—Tony and Rose are sleeping. Thomas and Kelsey are huddled around them, watching them sleep like two little guardian angels.

Kelsey brings a small hand up to her mouth and giggles, trying to be quiet but finding it very hard to.

  Leo clears his throat.

The sound of his voice makes them both turn.

“Dada here,” Kelsey says, sprinting for Leo and letting him scoop her up into the air.

Thomas hangs back, although he smiles timidly at Leo.

I observe the little boy. He has black hair like both his parents, and turquoise blue eyes like his father.

He’s the spitting image of Nico, but the total opposite in disposition.

I wave at him. “Hi, Tommy.”

He inches closer to the sleeping babies, as if they’ll protect him from me.

“I got something for you,” I say, opening my purse and pulling out a vintage toy train.

Leo once mentioned that the boy can spend a whole day playing with trains.

At the sight of the trains, Thomas runs up to me, but decides to stand a few feet away.

“Come on. I don’t bite.” I get down on my knees so I look less intimidating, and hold the train out.

It’s a teal blue one with two red stripes across it.

He takes it from me, and then gives me a toothy grin. Without a word, he throws his little arms around my neck and kisses my cheek before running away.

I look around the room, searching for his mother.

I find her standing in the balcony, staring out at the water. The moon shines down on it, casting a line of thick moonlight on the waves below.

  Gravity.

If ocean waves exist only because of the moon tugging at them, then what about the gravity between two hearts?

There’s something tragic about Luna—a heaviness that she tries her best to hide.

“You pity me,” she says, turning around and resting her body on the railing. Her black hair blows in the wind, becoming one with the night.

  I shake my head.

She looks back at the water. Together, we listen to the sound of the ocean—of the waves crashing against the shore.

She takes a deep breath of the salt-laced air. “I used to swim. Especially at nighttime. The ocean was my second home.”

“Yeah?” I walk to the balcony railing, joining her.

She nods. “It was my safe place—someplace I could escape to whenever I needed. He…he used to call me his little mermaid.”

I glance over at her. “You still love him, Luna.”

She’s quiet for a moment, and then says, “It’s not just about me.”

  “Right. Thomas.”

“It’s not about my child either. It’s…not safe for Nico to be around me.”

  Not safe?

“Is somebody threatening you?” I ask. When she doesn’t reply, I add, “Luna, we should tell Leo. He can protect you.”

“It’s a force greater than your husband. And it’s coming. Soon. None of us will be able to stop it when it happens.”

  I shake my head. “I don’t understand.”

“It’s better not to know of these things, Belle. The less you learn, the better.”

I push away from the railing. “What even happened between you and Nico?”

For a second, her golden eyes shine brighter than the moon. “That’s a story for another time.”

  THE END.

  A Love Letter

  Dear reader,

When I first started writing this book, all I knew was that I wanted to include elements from my favorite fairytale—Beauty & the Beast. I felt like all of us could do with a little bit more magic in our lives.

It wasn’t long before the story started to take a life of its own. The road had been rough, but the ride has been worth it.

And I want to thank you for coming along on the ride with me. Your support means the world to me. These stories wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for you.

  All my love,

  Aria
