Crossing the Ditch

Same said for Justin’s family – Rod, Chintra, Louisa and Andrew – thanks for your support (both financial and emotional) and understanding. Louisa – thanks also for the Christmas cake!
Without Patrick Brothers (Captain Pat) running the support of the expedition and the website, the expedition would not have been anywhere near the success that it was.
Tom Mitchell, apart from being an amazing mate, the way you handled the media and Jonesy and me when we got back from the Tasman was incredible.
To our major sponsor Unwired, a big thank you to David Spence and Linda Mak for believing in us and providing a major chunk of the funding to make it happen.
Rob Feloy, your design of Lot 41 was brilliant. A big thank you as well to Graham Chapman up at Adventure Marine for the thousands of man-hours spent in the construction of Lot 41.
Our other sponsors, thank you so much for your support, we look forward to building long-term relationships with each of you: Eptec, FGI, Pretorius, Solar Sailor, Panasonic Toughbook, Rush Digital, TracPlus, Resi Mortgage Corporation, AWE Ltd, Australian Geographic, S-Direct, Activate Outdoors, Icebreaker, Pacific Sailing School, CDTL, Rudy Project, Kokatat, Garmin, Suunto, Pittarak, Solution Paddles, Pains Wessex, Day Two, Gatorade, Back Country Cuisine, Aussie Bodies, Oceantalk, Climb Fit, Gear Shop NZ, Series Drogue, Para Anchors, Marlin Trailers, H20 Audio, Skwoosh, Boroughs Australia.
A special thanks to Mel Cain and Patrick Mangan at HarperCollins, who made this book possible.
Sorry if I missed anyone out, but to the following people, Justin and I are indebted to your countless hours spent working on Lot 41: Roger Badham, Craig Thomsen, Ben Barin, Bruce Richards, Hugh Anderson, Phil Harmer, Anthony Gordon, Brad Gordon, Steve Vermay, Nicole Browne, Terry Wise, Warwick Burton, Greg Quail, Carl Dumbrell, Uncle Colin Raftos, Nick Fordham, Alan Cooper, Margaret Dreyer, Dr Glenn Singleman, Nick Edwards, Lach Whittaker, Peter FitzSimons, Lincoln Hall, Jesse Martin, Strath Gordon, Larry Gray, Uncle H, Andy Worth, Harry Potter, James Smealle, Jay Cooper, John Leece, Tom Richardson, Ian Lowe, Andrew Mathers, Rod McClure, Alby McCracken, Duncan Hunter, Jen Cooper, Tony Mowbray, Rex Pemberton, Mayor Peter Tennant, Mike Hanning, Geoff Grut, Barry from Adventure Marine, Sean Griffin, Daniel Millar, Simon Blundell, Zoran Mitreski, David Johnston, Bryan Glover, Ben Hurdis, Paul Fenn, David Marsh, Alex Symes, Aidan Kerr, James Hammond, Hugh Porter, Colin Barr.
And all the countless mates who donated their time and therefore their nights’ sleeps – fibreglass is infuriatingly itchy and doesn’t come off for days…

He is now one of Australia’s most sought-after corporate speakers. Crossing the Ditch is his first book.
