His idea was a simple one but there was a whole world to search, which seemed an impossible task, ‘You could try a search in Thailand, I have seen for myself there are many beautiful women with an eye to business.’

‘Not good enough,’ Papu was stern, ‘Lord Jagannath will call the right one here.’

‘He called Remus and I here,’ Jeffrey was trying to be optimistic, ‘It is certainly not impossible, I found my divine twin here in Puri. Remus needs to find his other self, when he finds this man he will have more spiritual energy; maybe we should concentrate our search on locating Anirudh Ramachiranjiv, any luck, Papu?’

‘The temple record keepers are working on it,’ the priest answered.

‘Finding Ramachiranjiv is easy for them,’ Om put in, ‘The temple scribes have a network where priests register at mandirs they visit, finding the woman is the hard job!’

‘Maybe Remus and I should go to Thailand?’ Jeffrey suggested flippantly, ‘We could spend a month interviewing suitable candidates.’

Remus perked up, ‘You me fuck two girls a day, for thirty day, good idea, let’s go!’

‘It won’t work like that, Remus,’ Jeffrey was happy to see a smile on his friend’s face, our friend’s libido had been a part of Jeffrey’s life since they first met that Christmas 2001.

‘We have seen and felt the power of Jagannath, channelled through Papu here; if anyone should go to Thailand then Jagannath himself should go,’ Jeffrey suggested.

‘And when we find Subhadra we will,’ Om added, ‘We take the temple on the road, three new murti, three thrones beneath them and the three living humans that people can consult inside an ornate tent. I know a young Russian who’d be happy to help with transportation and translation to get those rubles into our pockets.’

‘You are talking about a circus, Om,’ Jeffrey was uncomfortable, ‘I know Papu needs money badly, he has a lot of problems that money can fix, and I fully understand that in most cases money does buy happiness. Having some financial security has bought me freedom, but having the money to buy the 4H led to Sylvia’s death and great unhappiness.’

‘4H give Jack and John money, that good, Jeffrey,’ said Remus,

‘Remus, we have yet to know what problems that dreadful, wasteful day caused them; I feel the Gambian story has not ended yet. My friend Issa showed me that each movement we make can decide the direction our future will take. We take many wrong steps in our life as well as many right ones, planned or accidental, who knows? We cannot choose the wrong performer to join us, if we continue with this circus plan.’

‘Could you please stop referring to circuses, Jeffrey?’ Om was annoyed with him, ‘It’s not just the money, it’s the power and influence we can have over the direction of our lives and of those who can understand what we are saying. Your life was changed by meeting Jagannath, you can offer this gift of perception you’ve been given to other people. From what Papu tells me, you have given him enough money as reward for your enlightenment. Do you begrudge him making a better living for showing more Westerners a better way?’

‘You are correct, Mr Pekesh,’ Jeffrey was still unsure of this business guru, ‘I found self-love, right here, just the simple words, “Be happy!” but spoken by this young man, he deserves a reward in this life. His brother works for the government and has a good lifestyle and has been able to send his children to the best schools. Papu relies on what little is left by devotees at Jagannath’s feet.’

‘Jagannath no have feet,’ Remus observed.

Ignoring Remus, as many used to, Om Pekesh spoke up, ‘Can we be agreed then that we all want to take the Word of the Church of the Living Jagannath out to the wider world and not just India? We can help thousands and make money that will certainly be useful for Remus’ extended family in West Africa and Papu’s loved ones here in India. The only wretched problem is finding this woman; it looks like it won’t be easy.’

‘Excuse me, do you think I could borrow this bicycle to go to the shops?’ it was the voice of a slim and rather petty Japanese woman in her early forties.

  Chapter 75: The New Gods

Shizuko Ichigo rode off on Papu’s bike; Remus and Jeffrey watched her cycle up the lane, focusing a little too much on her backside on the narrow seat.

‘I’m in love,’ Jeffrey was the first to say anything.

‘I love this womanses very much,’ Remus grinned, ‘She the one, my brother!’

Papu added, ‘Lord Jagannath has called her to this place, it is his will and doing.’

‘Papu, your face,’ Jeffrey laughed, ‘You are in love as well, I think!’

Om Pekesh was beaming, ‘This is another miracle, we’ve got it made; Papu work your magic on her when she gets back.’

‘I shall give special puja with Remus, Jeffrey and her; Lord Jagannath will show her what to do.’

Remus and Jeffrey went off into a private huddle in the deserted beach shack behind the temple.

‘It very like Kotu beach here, Jeffrey,’ Remus looked wistfully at the sea, ‘You remember party at Captain place, Christmas, long ago?’

‘The night you started your relationship with my wife, how could I forget?’ Jeffrey looked into his brother’s eyes.

‘You caused me a lot of pain but it was meant to happen,’ Jeff continued, ‘It has taken us from The Gambia to this beach on the Bay of Bengal; there was a purpose for this but the cost to Sylvia was too high. We are on the edge of something that neither of us could have imagined, the beginning of a deep spiritual adventure; Sylvia was not one for religion, she was a sweet, simple woman. It seems that we two are at the beginning of a relationship with another woman, are we ready to commit to this?’

‘I ready, she nice backsides!’ he was still the simple palm tapper at heart.

‘That sort of talk worries me, your prick still points your way. I worry about my motivation too, when I saw Shizuko, I wanted her for myself so badly and now it’s sharing with you again. It is like you and I are the married couple, using a woman between us for the sexual congress. I hope this woman will not suffer as a result of this new marriage we plan.’

‘She no agree yet,’ Remus made an unusually sensible observation, ‘she fuck us?’

‘It’s more than that isn’t it, you have experienced the power Jagannath can generate through Papu,’ Jeff needed to make sure his friend understood what they were planning, ‘If he can truly unite us as a trinity which represents the people of humankind in harmony, we have the power to bring peace to the world.’

‘I not power to do that!’ Remus was startled.

‘Not yet you don’t, we need to find your spiritual twin, this Ramachiranjiv, he will complete your understanding,’ Jeff looked radiant.

‘You say, you find your twin, who he, where he now?’ my African friend was eager to meet another Jeffrey.

‘He isn’t exactly a twin, he’s a soul brother, and I’ve not seen him for a while but I know he’s there, I talk to him each day. He has been with me all my life but he was disguised in a cloak of another, a costume given to him by my mother. It is only now that he has taken off the disguise that I see the truth of him, and I am so glad that I have been given this clarity,’ Jeff was almost glowing and finding amusement remembering Issa in his jeans.

‘You say he Jesus?’ Remus whispered reverently.

‘Not exactly,’ his white friend replied, ‘He was born in Bethlehem but he never died on a cross at Golgotha.’

‘God never die!’ Remus observed; he was gaining wisdom from his travels.

‘God will only die when we, the people die, God fears that his eternity will end and the true eternity will return and engulf us all, the Void that was there at the beginning of all things. The great force that brought about the universe, gave birth to us and to God but is also our destroyer. The Void manifests itself as meaninglessness and as depression; it promises an end to all people’s suffering, a blessed sleep of nothingness. When first we walked this Earth, the Void stalked us by
fear, fear of the darkness at the back of the cave and of what may lurk there. Our ancestors understood mortality, their fathers walked and then fell down, never to move again, they knew they were just meat, with all manner of creatures stalking them but the darkness was their greatest enemy. They discovered fire to chase away darkness and in the flames they saw shapes that made them think of other ways. Fire was our first god and out of its flames stepped the gods of the imagination, who would become entities in their own right.’

‘You say you me create God?’ Remus felt a new empowerment.

‘Yes, and I think we are about to create three new gods to influence people’s thoughts,’ Jeff was interrupted by Om Pekesh, who brought the conversation to a close,

  ‘Influence thoughts and empty pockets!’

  Chapter 76: Subhadra Revealed

Shizuko returned the bicycle, and Papu asked her to step into the temple, the black man and the white man took their places either side of her, each man in front of their own representative murti. Papu explained to her that Jagannath only asked for his worshippers to be happy and introduced her to Subhadra, the representative of all the Oriental people. He then introduced her to Balabhadra and to Jeffrey, finally Remus and the smiling god who was also a pre-incarnation of Krishna. Shizuko was already beaming with happiness, smiling so sweetly towards the two men; Remus was hiding an erection.

Then the puja began in earnest; Jeffrey experienced the now usual but always wondrous out-of-body effect of Papu’s words and gestures. He looked down from the pyramid roof of the temple to see the three bodies sat around the two-thousand-year-old stone chakra, a triangle of neon energy now connected the three bodies and sent a beam of pure love up into his astral body. Time stopped, Jeff was in an abstract state, the silver-grey universe he had been to before, today the other two had joined him there, each one seemed to be mutating into their individual murti but holding hands. Suddenly, all three crashed back to the temple floor, like an elevator cable severed on the thirteenth floor. The jolt they experienced left the three laughing, sobbing and now radiant people holding hands and looking in divine love into each other’s eyes. The bond that was to link the rest of their lives had begun, they already felt that they had known each other for eternity, but the young priest told them that they must go one step further. Remus and Jeffrey tensed as Papu outlined the next ceremony they would have to undergo to complete their transformation and union.

As his English was shaky, Papu asked Om Pekesh to explain the Hindu tradition of worshipping through one’s own body and the divine connection between love, sex and spirituality.

‘Lord Shiva is worshipped in both the form of the Lingam, the symbol of male creativity and the Yoni, the symbol of female creativity. The Puruṣārthas refer to the four proper aims of the human life. Sex is the basis of all life and Kama, one of the four Puruṣārthas, brings us pleasure; sex gives us great pleasure, satisfaction and a oneness with the Brahman. How many of us have said, “Oh God!” or “My Buddha!” when the orgasm comes.’

Jeffrey interrupted Mr Pekesh’s lecture by singing some lines from Leonard Cohen, when he recalled moving inside his lover and feeling the holy dove moving too.

‘Thank you for illustrating my point further, Jeffrey,’ Om looked a little annoyed, ‘The Kama Sutra says humans should harmonise the first three Puruṣārthas; Dharma our education and moral values, Artha our route to prosperity and Kama. Acquire education in childhood, in youth and middle years attend to Artha by financial responsibility for the family life alongside Kama. In old age Dharma should again be followed, in preparation for the final Puruṣārthas, Moksha, liberation. This lifelong process can only be truly achieved when all the material desires have been satisfied. The much-maligned Osho, in his book Sambhog Se Samadhi Tak, explains this process and how he took advantage of it. He said that first you deal with very natural things like sexual desire, only after confronting your lusts can you attain Gyan, the knowledge of God.’

Om Pekesh looked at Shizuko and quoted the Upanishad,

‘Her lap is a sacrificial altar, her hairs the sacrificial grass, her skin the soma-press, the two labia of the vulva are the fire in the middle. So great is the world of those who practise sexual intercourse.’

‘This verse tells us quite clearly that sex is a form of worship and sacred. Vātsyāyana, the Hindu sage and author of the Kama Sutra, said men and women should study Kāmashastra, about all forms of desire and how to satisfy their sexual needs. Sex in Hindu society has always been considered an individual’s choice, many scriptures mentioned pre-marital sex, along with love marriages and extra-marital relations are personal affairs that the individuals involved should decide about. Gandharva Marriage is a voluntary union of a woman with her lover, solely with desire and sexual intercourse being its purpose. Hinduism has given us freedom, and in our society sex isn’t a taboo neither is pornography. Sexual intercourse is a sacred union which recognises that human desire needs to be satisfied and can be used to attain Moksha.’

Om quoted the words of Shiva from the Vijnana Bhairava,

‘At the start of sexual union keep attentive on the fire in the beginning, and so continuing, avoid the embers in the end. When in such embrace your senses are shaken as leaves, enter this shaking. Even remembering union, without the embrace.’

Om continued, ‘Shiva’s words show us that the sexual act can help us achieve enlightenment, Moksha, where all egos vanish. When humans engage in the sexual act, they should undress themselves of their ego and unite to achieve sexual ecstasy. The Abrahamic religions, which came long after this Hindu wisdom, frowned on the individual concept of enlightenment, especially through sex. These three cults have always been controlled by State and Church. They consider sex to be a mortal sin, when the truth is that sex was given to us to be utilised and enjoyed to achieve a universal spiritual ecstasy. You three have been brought together to form this sexual spirit union; it is your destiny to make this Gandharva Marriage.’

All eyes were on Shizuko Ichigo, who was beaming but giggling, covering her mouth in that cute Japanese manner.

‘Have we shocked you?’ Jeffrey shyly asked her, ‘You don’t have to do this, you can walk away.’

The other men frowned at Jeffrey but Shizuko’s giggles broke into full laughter, which disturbed all of them.

‘We are serious about this,’ an embarrassed Jeffrey continued, ‘we are not trying to trick you into group sex, everything said is the truth.’

‘I know, I know it is so beautiful!’ Shizuko was still trying to control her laughter, ‘Sex is very beautiful, I love it!’

Remus was now beaming, ‘You like sex, good, me like sex; why you laugh?’

Shizuko Ichigo composed herself, ‘I am not shocked. I know about sex, for fifteen years it was my career, I was a Japanese adult video idol, sex was my business and I was very good at it!’ She then collapsed into more uncontrollable laughter.

  Chapter 77: Yo-Yo Girl Cop 3 Exposed

‘I thought I recognised your face, Shizuko,’ Jeffrey smiled fondly at the lady, ‘You were Dora Yaki, pancake, Yo-Yo Girl Cop 3!’

‘You’ll recognise more than my face then,’ she laughed, ‘that film wasn’t censored!’

The three Chosen Ones were in the Santana Bar, getting to know each other better on Om Pekesh’s suggestion, that they should get drunk together; a favourite pastime of all three of these New Gods.

‘For years this lady “Dora Yaki”, which translates as pancake, helped me through the long hours and days I used to work,’ Jeffrey said, ‘Shizuko worked for a big film company that exported their productions to the West, Australia included, and the films would not have sold if they had been censored. One of my favourite films of yours, Dora, was Kinkan no Kanroni another Japanese dessert, fruit in light syrup, it translates as “sweet skin, sour middle”. The sour middle in this case was semen from fifty men, who ejaculated all over her.’

Remus nearly spilled is beer, ‘Fifty men!’

&n
bsp; ‘Yes, I was dressed as a waitress,’ Shizuko explained, ‘the male actors spunked all over my face and clothes and the tray of cakes I was carrying. The embarrassing part was then I had to walk through the streets, offering passersby a chance to sample the treats. It was a hot day and after an hour I smelled really bad.’

‘No one wanted to go near the tray,’ Jeff told his black friend, ‘So next the production crew arrange for five extras, posing as ordinary people in the street, to clean her up. One throws a bucket of water over Dora and the tray, and then the others rip her clothes off and douse her with another bucket of water. They then start washing her, there in the street, taking the opportunity to grope any bit of her they could reach; the men jostled to grab her pussy and real women start beating her with their handbags!’

‘You enjoy watching film?’ Remus looked in disgust at his white brother.

‘Yes, the next part was best,’ Jeff looked at Shizuko as if this was a real shared memory, ‘Now another waitress appears carrying a tray of assorted condoms with a sign reading, “Please use condom to fuck girl!” Most of Dora Yaki’s films were subtitled, which really added to my enjoyment. Remember this is happening in a real street, only five of the men were actors who all took turns to fuck Dora, using condoms, but as the film continued there were about twenty others lining up to screw this lady.’

Shizuko was laughing, ‘So funny, the other waitress encouraged the men to put the condom on but take their trousers off. That waitress was played by Koko Kawai, she assured the men that their faces would be mosaicked and gave them each the studio business card. Koko lifted her skirt to show her shaved pussy, to get the men worked up more; it worked, the men threw caution and their trousers to the wind. What they didn’t notice was that the female extras in the crowd collected the trousers and ran off with them but did make sure any wallets were put on Koko’s tray. None of the men complained to the studio, they were too embarrassed; instead, after fucking me, they formed a queue outside a nearby men’s clothing shop, who took advantage of the situation to inflate their trouser prices.’
