Scerior Part II

“It wouldn’t have mattered if we were all dead”. Rebecca said acidly.

Allorus frowned “But the knock on effect would have destroyed the wormhole and who knows what effect it would have had on Scerior’s galaxy, which is full of inhabited planets!”

  “I’m sorry, I’m not thinking”.

“Don’t apologise to me for anything. You’re worn out and I have been selfish, only thinking of my need for you”. He put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her against him.

“Not just your need, I need you too, but I am so tired I can’t think straight”.

“Lie down and go to sleep my love, we will both be back on duty tomorrow”. He kissed her gently and they settled back onto their pillows. Allorus waved his hand over the light and it slowly dimmed until it was pitch black in their room, and very quickly they slipped into a deep sleep.

  Chapter 21

Allorus woke the next morning with Rebecca still nestled in his arms. As he gazed at her beautiful face he felt as if his heart would burst. How had his ancestors survived without this connection to their mates? What he remembered of his grandfathers was harsh, austere, unapproachable males. When he was young, his father, Acorus, had been interested in his well being, and how he was doing in his lessons. Once when Allorus had become involved in a dangerous prank, Acorus had beaten him. Not with a cane as other fathers used but with his bare hand. It had hurt but then Acorus had explained why what they had been doing was dangerous and that he punished him because he loved him and would be upset if his son had been hurt or caused another to be hurt.

Now he thought about it, it had been the time when the first Earth females had moved into his father’s house. That such a change had come about in one generation showed how the humans had changed the Sceriae males. Obviously enjoyable sex had released the Sceriae’s natural love of life, as well as an insatiable enjoyment of the feeling of a female body.

While Allorus was deep in memories Rebecca had woken up. Watching his sculpted masculine face she wondered what he was thinking about so seriously; she couldn’t begin to think, as he had so many responsibilities.

Suddenly aware that she was watching him with a quizzical look on her face, he smiled, his blue eyes twinkling with delight at the look on her face.

“Do you feel rested my love?”

“Oh yes, very rested, very relaxed”.

Cupping her face in his hand he moved in for a kiss, finding her mouth with his he put all he was feeling into it. She responded sweetly and his insatiable ever ready shaft bounced, moving the cover and causing her to choke in the kiss as she giggled uncontrollably.

“Ah, you find my desire for you funny, do you?” he growled as he pulled her under him.

She squealed as his weight held her down, but couldn’t contain her giggles. To his delight she was no longer even slightly nervous of him. Taking hold of her arms he lifted them above her head and held them there as her giggles subsided and she sucked in a quick breath. Lowering his mouth he worked his way downwards from her mouth, tickling down the side of her neck with his tongue until he reached her breast and gently nipped her tight bud. Her breath came out in a gasp and she squirmed beneath him. Satisfied with the effect he was having on her he continued on down over her stomach circling her tiny belly button then down over her mons until he found her sex, and her most sensitive nub. He was so much larger than her that it was easy for him to restrain her hands while his clever tongue drove her wild. When she squealed and bucked against him he sucked her nub into his mouth while his tongue continued to lick and tease her labia. As her orgasm surged through her she screamed and bucked but he held her tight, until she screamed herself out and subsided into a quivering gasping heap.

Before she could relax he had opened her legs and was inside her. Still gently but more forcefully than he had before; now he knew she didn’t fear him he gave way to his need to stamp his claim on her. As he hit her core she yelped but wrapped her legs around him and arched her back to give him full access. Thrilled at her response Allorus gave himself over to completely satisfying his desire for her and rode her to another screaming orgasm as he finally found his release. Drawing out of her he collapsed onto his side and held her shaking body to him.

Smoothing her hair back from her face he suddenly frowned as a thought snaked into his head. Laying her onto her back he threw the covers back.

Surprised Rebecca gaped at him and said “What?”

Moving his gaze down her body he found the valley between her legs, which was as smooth and bare as a baby’s bottom.

“I just realised that your little curls are gone. You’ve had your hair removed”.

  “Oh, don’t you like it?”

“I like everything about you, but why? I quite liked that you were different, natural”.

“I’m sorry, maybe I should have asked you, but when I was examined to make sure that the birth control I was prescribed was safe for me, the Escorii commented on it. They said that they’d never seen a human, who was with a Sceriae male, who had been allowed to stay `natural`. I thought you might not like it now we are married, but didn’t want to embarrass me”. Rebecca rushed out feeling shy. “I didn’t know what else you might want to do...” she trailed off nervous now.

Allorus shook his head “There can be no embarrassment between mates. If I didn’t like something I would tell you and if I wanted to do `something` you didn’t enjoy I would hope that you would tell me. I’m not angry about you deciding what to do with your body, just never do anything to endanger it, I would be angry then!” he warned.

Then he grinned and proceeded to show that he liked that part of her by teasing her with feathery kisses until she was giggling uncontrollably and begging him to stop, before she peed herself.

Reluctantly letting her get up and rush into the bathroom he recalled his duty. He was due back on the flight deck in an hour, so he went to the door and told the guard to order their breakfast, then he went into the bathroom to shower. Rebecca was at the sink cleaning her teeth so he quickly showered first then as she took over he cleaned his teeth and put on his armour. As three Escorii delivered their breakfast Rebecca was pulling on a tunic and trousers. Brushing her hair she took it back into a tight bun at the nape of her neck and entered the bedroom to find Allorus already tucking into a plate of food. “Are you going to the hospital?” he asked.

Filling her plate she sat down “I thought I would, that is unless you want me to do something else”.

“Not at the moment, I know you want to help the injured people but once Earth has settled down, you will need to take your place as my consort and first lady of Earth. We will need to visit various countries, meet their leaders and find out what problems they have before we try to solve them”.

“Oh my! I didn’t realise that I would have to do all that. I’m just an ordinary inexperienced girl, how will I cope? I’ll need some fancier clothes, how and where do I get them? I might show you up by saying or doing something stupid”. Rebecca was beginning to panic now.

Allorus got up and rounded the table, taking her into his arms, “Shh, don’t panic. I will be with you at all times, to help and guide you. Also my love, don’t undersell yourself. You are brave, intelligent and a natural when it comes to winning people over. As for your clothes, they will be here on the next returning starship. It is due to dock the day after tomorrow”.

  “But how...?” Rebecca stammered.

“Joanna thought of it and sent your measurements to Scerior, ordering everything you will need. Now we must go about our duties”. He kissed her thoroughly then slapped her bottom.” Go before you delay me any longer!”

As he turned to put on his helmet Rebecca stuck her leg out and tripped him up, then fled out of the room. Righting himself and slapping his helmet on he was grinning as he followed her.

  Chapter 22

Acorus’ fleet chased the Xenorrii towards Scerior, holding back waiting to see what their plan was and when and where the trap was to be sprung. The ships that had gone back to the wormhole, along with the ships stationed there, had quickly put the enemy ships, those that hadn’t been destroyed, to flight. Instead of chasing them, following Acorus’ orders they sped back to join the main fleet.

Acorus and his officers wracked their brains to work out what the Xenorrii were up to. His fleet, along with Belain’s from Scerior would easily defeat the smaller enemy fleet. They must have a hidden force somewhere. However, Belain had had scout ships out for months, ever since Xenorri movement had been reported and had also stationed a quarter of his fleet, captained by his most experienced captains, with extra fighter ships, on the far side of the planet.

Jo was sitting, as usual, in her chair on the flight deck watching all that was happening. She was in full armour, with her face mask lowered, as were all the crew; they were on full alert, Acorus had a feeling in his gut and experience told him not to ignore it. Food was taken on duty and sleep was short, with their armour still on. Jo had never experienced being on a war footing and was finding it nerve wracking and exhausting.

When he had checked all his crew’s findings on their instruments which were searching the galaxy for the enemy, Acorus sat down next to her and put his hand over hers.

  “Are you alright, love?”

“I’m ok but feeling nervous, I don’t think I’d make a very good soldier I’m afraid”.

Squeezing her hand he said “All good soldiers are nervous, while waiting for the action to start. How you react when it does shows whether you’ll be a good soldier or not”.

“Are you hungry, shall I order food for us and the crew?”

“I suspect the Escorii will have that in hand” he laughed.

As he spoke the door opened and Tchu led the way in carrying a plate of food which she took to Jo. Acorus’ batman was behind her with food for him and others followed with plates for the crew. They ate quickly, keeping an eye on their instruments. Luckily nothing appeared on their screens, apart from the ship’s hurrying back from the wormhole to join them.

Jo ate gratefully, it was a relief to open her face mask no matter how briefly. The food and the energy drinks perked them all up and there was a few comments and jokes, in Sceria, about how Acorus’ gut feeling was hunger. He took it in good part but maintained his strict watch.

Once all had finished eating the dishes were cleared away, face masks were lowered and the wait continued. They were only a day away from Scerior and Acorus was thinking that maybe he was wrong, that he should speed up, catch the Xenorrii and wipe them out.

“You know, if you want to Jo, you could return to our cabin and catch a few hours of sleep”.

Worrying over her as he usually did.

“No, I’d have to keep my armour on and I’d rather be here with you. This chair is comfortable and I have had more naps than you have”.

Suddenly a technician shouted “Several masses found on our port side!”

All sprung into action as more and more machines reported objects stationary in space. Acorus was moving from station to station, staring out of the windows in between. Jo was itching to get up and look but knew she must obey orders and remain strapped in. Then several voices exclaimed as one and before Acorus ordered shields down Jo caught sight of dozens and dozens of starships, similar to the Xenorrii’s old starships but somehow tidier, more threatening.

Action stations sounded throughout every ship in the fleet and Acorus sent messages to Belain and the ships hurrying to join them from the wormhole. With these ships Acorus’ fleet would number about fifty. However they were all hours away! He had sixteen starships with him, Jo breathed a prayer, thank god he hadn’t halved his fleet to chase the Xenorrii.

The Xenorri fleet jumped into action and they surged towards the Sceriae firing as they came. Acorus’ ships were zigzagging from side to side, avoiding each other and making open spaces around themselves. They had been travelling far apart as was usual, and as they returned the Xenorrii fire were in no danger of hitting each other. The Xenorrii had been sitting in a wide arc waiting for them, a clever plan if Acorus had split his fleet. As it was they were taken by surprise by the number of Sceriae ships and the fact that they were all travelling with their force fields up, as they were usually kept down because they used a lot of power, only being used during a battle.

The Sceriae fired back, their powerful weapons annihilating a few of the enemy ships and disabling or damaging others. When the Xenorrii sent out their fighter ships Acorus gave the order for his fighters to leave the safety of the mother ships, and they surged forth like swarms of hornets angry when their nest was disturbed. There were many more than were usually carried on the starships, superbly trained, made up of human and Sceriae alike, and they homed in on the enemy and overwhelmed them.

Jo sat there, her hands gripping the arms of her chair, hardly able to breath, listening to the calm talk of the starship captains, and the fighter pilots as they warned and advised each other. It all sounded so confused and alarming but from Acorus’ demeanour and the way the technicians calmly issued facts to their commander everything was under control.

Occasionally a starship would take a hit and Acorus would issue orders more firmly and urgently, leaning forward in his seat until he knew what damage the ship had sustained.

“Where has this new technology come from? When I destroyed their city it should have taken millennia for them to increase their numbers and technology. Something strange is going on, I don’t like it”.

Jo stayed quiet, knowing he wasn’t really asking for her opinion, just needing to voice his concerns. He was right, the Xenorrii shouldn’t have come this far in such a short time. An insidious idea crept into her mind. Did they have help? And if they did, where from?

As the battle continued with losses on both sides, Jo, for the first time since she had started space travelling was thrown from side to side in her chair. Acorus was ordering his starship into fighter like manoeuvres, firing at the Xenorrii as he did so. His other ships were doing the same, choosing an enemy ship to target and chasing it relentlessly, until once firmly in their sights, they deployed their powerful weapons.

Fighter ships were also engaging the enemy and the blackness of space was lit up like firework display. Neither side was gaining an advantage, the Xenorrii fighting in a more organised way than in the past; Acorus was trying every battle tactic he knew to gain the upper hand, but he was outnumbered two to one as far as starships went and he was becoming concerned.

“Hello brother, can anyone join in this tea party or is it invitation only?”

“Belain, what took you so long? Stopped for a massage, did you?” Acorus tried to hide his relief.

“We are close to your position, pretty display you’re making there. Where would you like us to start?”

“Are you on the far side of the battle? You’re not on our screens yet”.

“Yes, we are approaching from the far side of Scerior. Thought a rear attack would be preferable”.

“Good thinking, come up behind them and choose your targets. My fighter ships are deployed so make sure you aim straight!”

“On your order, general”. Belain laughed and his voice cut out.

Acorus returned to the battle, showing no emotion, but Jo could feel his relief oozing out of him. Now they had a chance.

When the ships from the wormhole joined them too the course of the battle slowly changed. Acorus’ fleet had the enemy surrounded and the Xenorrii were now fighting for survival. Thirty of their starships had been wiped out and their fighters were trying to get back to their mother ships as human and Sceriae pilots out fought them.

“Capture me some enemy ships, preferably a whole starship!” Acorus ordered, despera
te to uncover the Xenorrii’s miraculous regeneration.

As the Xenorrii tried to fight free to flee from the battle Acorus’ ships encircled them, slowly disabling or destroying ship after ship. His fighters had denied the Xenorrii access to their mother ships and were chasing them from the fight. The Sceriae targeted one starship in particular and closed in, prepared to board it. They would resort to hand to hand fighting in an attempt to preserve the ship.

As Xenorrii ship after Xenorrrii ship tried to fight free the galaxy shivered as they disintegrated into dust, blown apart by the Sceriae’s weapons.

The targeted ship was disabled and parts of it blew off, but luckily its captain did not destroy it himself, either through cowardice or because he could not. Led by Belain a large force of Sceriae and humans landed on its flight deck and surged into the dark confines of the ship. Evidently all power had been disabled and Belain’s force fought through pitch black tunnels and up towards the flightdeck.

Bursting onto that deck Belain pulled up sharply. All the Xenorrii were dead or dying but in front of the bank of equipment stood a being the Sceriae had never encountered before.

He was tall, over seven feet high, with white blonde hair, deep purple eyes and was wearing armour similar in nature to the Sceriae’s. He held his hands on the top of his head in the universally recognised symbol of surrender. Belain cautiously ordered his men to keep the stranger covered while others checked the Xenorrii, killing those who were not already dead. He watched them impassively, not moving. Finally when the Xenorrii were no longer any threat Belain asked “Who and what are you?”

The stranger assimilated Belain’s words then to his surprise answered in Sceria.

“I am Kalen, ambassador of the Sceriatii and it appears the dupe of the Xenorrii!”

Belain stared at him coldly “You are seconds away from death, be sensible and you may live. What are you doing in our galaxy?”

“It is a long story and needs to be told to your leader, but first tell me who and what you are”.
