Forgotten Promise (Forgotten Series Book 2)

“Why would I need one?”
Her feisty look doesn’t go unnoticed. “You need one now.” Leaning on the door as security that no one will walk in. “Remove your panties.”
“Here?”
“Here, now, for my viewing pleasure.” Unexpected need consuming me.
“Viewing pleasure?”
Playing with me now, I love when she’s naughty. “Do it.” I growl, the walls tumbling down around me, leaving me alone in the world with her and her alone.
“Kinky.” She purrs.
As I watch her slowly lift her skirt, and slowly sliding her panties down her thighs, then her calves, and over her black fuck-me pumps. Her sweet pussy beckoning me like a siren, her scent calling my name.
“I’ll give you kinky, baby.” As I close the distance, she unbuttons her shirt, revealing her white lace bra nipples erect.
I cup her full tits, in one hand while I struggle to unzip my pants with the other. She reaches down to help. I spill out as if it’s a beaconing device solely searching for home. I back her against the wall.
“Hold on, baby, we’re going for a ride.” As I lift her and press my body against hers, allowing the wall to assist. Her legs wrap around me so tight I feel her heels digging into my ass. But my cock doesn’t mind the indent they’re making.
“I ache to fuck you.” Sliding into her body, filling her. This woman always testing my restraint, I kiss her long and hard, my tongue playing the same game my cock is crying out to play. Pulling out to slam her into the wall. Claiming her as mine.
Clutches fistfuls of my shirt, her breathing picks up. Riding my cock in a solid rhythm. Both of us tumbling into oblivion. “Fuck you’re so tight, Bryer, your body is made for mine.”
Suddenly a brush of cool air on my ass tells me we’re not alone. My erratic heartbeat starts to slow. As I turn to see Cash’s eyes on us. And for a few precious moments, I let him watch me fuck the woman he wants, the woman that’s mine. My ferocious pace causing Bryer to chant my name like a prayer, talk about sweet.
“We have company, baby. I told you we would need a lock.”
“Oh Jesus, Nathan, let me down.”
As I watch the scene unfold, their eyes meet. His pure torture, her pure embarrassment. I like the difference.
This was so much better than peeing all over her office.
~CASH~
“Sonja, did you find the name of their preacher?” The corner of her mouth turned up, as she walks in my newly set up office at the cabin.
“It wasn’t hard at all, they have an onsite officiate to perform the ceremony.”
Now sitting on my desk crossing her legs, looking smug.
“He can be bought,” She ensures. “But it will cost you.”
“I’m not worried.” James Sr. has a bottomless pit of money, I’ll get it, I’m his main connection to the outside world. I have power over M&M Global, the company Bryer works for, I’m his pot of gold under the fucking rainbow. “Make the offer, just make certain nothing traces back to me.” Leaning back in my new leather chair still crinkling under my weight.
“Save your breath, Cash, this isn’t my first time covering your tracks.”
“It’s so unlike you to mouth off, Sonja.” Standing to make my point, I won’t take lip from any pain-in-the-ass woman. “It would be smart of you focus on the prize.” Grabbing her arm lifting her off my desk.
“I hate her,” she says.
“I. Don’t. Care.” Turning her in my arms and pushing her down on the desk. “Need I remind you who’s fucking you?” Lifting her skirt baring her thong and tearing it from her body, if this is what she wants, I’ll give it to her, but my way. “Say it.” Hovering over her waiting for the words.
“You are, Cash.”
Unzipping my pants exposing my hard cock. “This is for my pleasure.” Driving into her with a violent surge of power, hearing her gasp, fueling my raw hunger.
“Cash, I want to come,” she begs.
“Not this time, Sonja.” Focusing totally on me. I could feel my balls tighten and my pace quicken as I come, leaving her wanting more. As my breath steadies, I lean over her my body fully clothed and whisper, “Who’s topping who, Sonja? Can you manage to rein in that attitude?” Instantly smacking her ass hard enough to appreciate the pink glow of my hand print.
“You are, of course.” Promptly rising to straighten her skirt and leave the room.
Drama… always getting in the way of a good fuck.
Chapter Twenty
~Bryer~
Fixated on the night sky the clouds racing across the heavens only allowing the stars to be seen momentarily, I think about tomorrow, the trip, the wedding. Saddened by the thought she won’t be there to share in my moment.
The journal being the closest thing I’ll ever have, sharing her story. I’m beyond grateful for every word I read, knowing it was written in her hand. Holding the journal, feeling the crinkle of the worn paper, I open to the next passage.
I found you under a pile of books in a box, and a tinge of guilt surfaced, knowing I wanted to write more often in this journal, but we had to move into bigger place, a nice two-bedroom apartment on the bottom floor.
And surprise, it’s a girl, she’s beyond beautiful, and we are over the moon in love with her. David and I had made a deal—if it’s a boy he would name him, and if it’s a girl I would get the honors. Of course David knew immediately he wanted Jack, a strong masculine name he said. I on the other hand struggled, I searched for months. I had my top three, but then I recalled David’s mother’s maiden name was Bryer, I looked up the meaning of the name: gentle and sweet, it was perfect. She’s perfect.
David is doing well in the insurance business, his income is allowing me to stay home. He’s smart investing in our future. I’m so thankful he’s the exact opposite of my father.
Knowing he’s worse every time I visit, I don’t know why my Mother stays, I wouldn’t ever allow that.
I’ll raise Bryer to be independent. If a man doesn’t treat you well, you let him go. I’ll tell her.
David mentioned after Bryer gets older, I should come and work with him. He has no idea how happy that made me, he believes in me. Bryer’s calling, Mommy duty is pure joy.
Mary
My eyes well up, as I think about the love they had for me, and the love they shared towards each other. They shared a life together that I never knew existed.
I never knew the history about my name, I wonder why. I decide to read one more passage, before calling it a night, peeking into her world, her love for me seems to be a constant feature. But I felt it my entire life, and I grieved when she took it with her.
Today, I have endless questions—some I’ll never know the answer to, and some I’ll be blessed to read about. I’m taking her with me in the pages of this precious journal, to Hawaii. It’s the closest I’ll have to her being there.
I wake to my cheek on his chest, his warmth comforting, and his heart beating strong. I feel him stir and when I look up his smile is all consuming.
“Miss Bryer Reid?”
“Yes, Mr. James.” My voice still groggy.
“I won’t be calling you that for much longer.”
“So apparently you assume I’m taking your name?” I tease.
“You most certainly are taking my name,” Nathan presses. “This is for your sass.”
And he’s on me in an instant tickling me, my shoulders shaking from laughter. “I give,” I beg. “Alright, you win, I’ll take your name. You did let me pick out the cake, I can give you this.”
“That was way too easy, I assume all compromises will be like that.”
“I bet you do.” Pushing him off me, only to drape myself over his body. Straddling him to look into those sweet blue eyes.
“Being the man of the house, my word is law.” He smiles. “Said no man ever.” Sharing that mega-watt double-dimple power, with mischief in his eyes.
“Aren’t you funny, we can’t lie around
here all day,” I say.
“That’s a shame.”
As he tugs the sheet from my grasp causing me to walk completely naked to the bathroom.
“Sin pure sin.”
Feeling the stare roll up and down my body.
“Are you sure you don’t have time?”
“Fine.” Game on James, there’s no resisting you ever.
“The only F-word that scares me is a woman who says fine.”
“How clever of you. I would remember that if I were you.” Stalking over to him. Kneeling on the bed, I strip the sheet off him, savagely exposing the sex-god in full light. Jesus, will this ever get old? Admiring the full length of his powerful physique all thoughts become muddled but one. As I take his hard cock in my mouth.
“You undo me,” he says through a throaty voice. His hands raising my hair for a better view. Watching as I circle his hard length with my tongue.
His erection bumped against the back of my throat, and I swallow, causing more pleasure.
“I’m going to fly apart if you keep doing that.”
Hearing his shaky breath, knowing his eyes are watching every move is intoxicating.
“Baby, I can’t hold on, it’s too fucking good.” A cry of his release as he pumps into my mouth, holding my head in place by gripping my hair.
I drink him in. His quivering thighs and his cock twitching in my mouth ignite my own hunger. But I can wait, I want much more.
Sitting on the tarmac for over an hour is not the start I anticipated, the children AKA Gen and Clayton, sitting behind me are behaving badly. I’m preparing to get out my switch.
“Why did you seat us together, Bryer?” Gen asks in complete frustration.
“I’m asking myself the same question,” I say through the crack between seats.
“I can fuck up my life on my own, I don’t need your help.” Clayton smirks at Gen.
“You’re so full of it, Clayton”
“Likewise.”
I can hear Gen inhaling a large breath, I’m starting to get worried about Clayton’s safety.
“Hey, hey, hey, there’ll be none of that.” I say recalling my Grandma using the same exact phrase. I chuckle at the memory, it didn’t work then either.
“Not helping, Clayton,” Nathan chimes in.
“Not you too.” He sighs. “Why does everyone always think it’s me?”
“Because it usually is,” Nathan retorts.
“Shhh… Clayton, you’re loud as fuck.” Gen’s impatience reaching an all-time high. ”How many hours?” Gen whines.
“I told you eight, to the main island and another one to Kauai,” I answer, regretting that I didn’t bring cookies and Legos. Or the purple medicine.
“If he would just stop talking. Make him stop, Bryer.”
“Seriously?” I sincerely question. “When does the alcohol cart come around?”
“So, Nathan, do I get to give you a bachelor party the night before the ball and chain is attached?”
“I never thought about it, Clayton.”
“You don’t get out much, do you?”
I watch as Nathan spins around, allowing a face-to-face view of Clayton.
“At some point in time, you’re getting the crap beat out of you.”
“I second that,” Gen adds.
“Is that so?” Clayton says.
“Alcohol is here,” I announce. “Everyone drink.”
~ ~ ~
After 4 hours and several drinks later, I haven’t heard much from the juvey’s behind me. I unbuckle myself to stretch and take an opportunity to use the bathroom while it’s empty.
Good Lord, a laugh almost escapes, as I see Gen’s head in the crook of Clayton’s shoulder, his arm wrapped around her. They’re both sleeping soundly. I quietly find my phone in my purse to snap a couple of pictures. This is power in my hands right here, I’ll use it wisely.
We land on the main island, and instantly we are ushered to another plane, a much-smaller one, I guess they’ve done this before. We are all seated in the same seats and it takes off within minutes.
I can’t help but wonder how the scene unfolded once the two love-bird-enemies woke up in each other’s arms. I would’ve love to see that.
“Just one more hour.” Nathan leans in to kiss me, while I hear a few moans of frustration behind me.
“We have to get our license today, baby, first priority,” Nathan says
“Mhmm, you know if you really want a bachelor party I don’t mind.”
“Maybe, a few beers with Clayton.”
“I’m sure Gen can come up with some fun for the two of us.”
Nathan spins to look at me, not seeming too pleased with the idea of my bachelorette party.
“Gen will get you into trouble.”
“And Clayton’s won’t?”
“Point taken.”
“What about the four of us go out?” I suggest.
“No wonder I fancy you, smart and sexy.”
A limo, yes Nathan booked a limo for the four of us to get from the airport to the CoCo Palms Resort. We arrive to a warm greeting with beautiful leis.
“Did you know the lei custom was introduced to the Hawaiian Islands Polynesian voyagers who took a journey from Tahiti navigating by the stars sailing in canoes? The tradition was born with the early settlers.”
We all look at Clayton.
“Random,” Gen says and walks away admiring the view, and it’s a spectacular sight to see.
As we check in, we have three luxury bungalows, and there are several young men ready to lead us down the most beautiful path filled with flowers of every color. The fragrance could put a spell on you. I see three pools on our way, and a slide that I will be on.
I see both Clayton’s and Gen’s individual bungalows, yet they are so close they share a large deck. All three of our bungalows are facing the lagoon.
“Let’s meet in the bar in a couple of hours. You two rest, unpack. Nathan and I have to get our marriage license.”
“Sounds like you’re really doing this.” Clayton smiles at Nathan.
We reach our own place and it’s twice the size of Gen’s & Clayton’s.
“The honeymoon suite,” the young man says.
“I’m in seventh heaven.” As I step into the colorful Polynesian design of the room with white vertical shutters slightly open allowing a cool breeze to hit my bare arms. Turning to see a separate living room with two large chairs facing the floor-to-ceiling picture window looking at the lagoon.
“You can slide the privacy screen down if you wish, ma’am. You will still be able to look out, but no one will be able to look in,” the young man says while putting our bags on luggage stands.
“Good to know,” Nathan says. A direct hit when his eyes find mine. Nathan reaches in his pocket, handing him a tip to usher him off.
“I’d like a few minutes to hang up my gown and some other things.” Opening my luggage now sitting on a stand.
“Good idea.”
As I watch him do the same. “I only brought sundresses, some long some short, and bikinis. And not one pair of panties.” Nathan raise a brow, and I give him a wink.
“Jesus, baby, we have to go to the license department, sporting a hard on, wanting to ravage you.”
“Good, then my work here is done.” Giggling softly to myself.
“Minx.”
Chapter Twenty-One
Nathan
Licenses the sign says as we follow the path leading to the office. The small white building is hidden away, only one person is behind the counter.
“Welcome, welcome come in,” the older man says with sincerity.
“We here for our marriage license,” Bryer offers.
“You’ve come to the right place,” he says as he approaches us.
His native roots obvious, but the enthusiasm contagious.
“You have to use the license within two weeks,” he mentions.
“That won’t be a problem, it’s tomorrow,”
I say
“Great, fill out these forms and it will be fifty dollars.”
As I read the questions, I know Bryer is doing the same. Have you ever been married before, have you ever been prosecuted with a felony?
“Any felonies I don’t know about, Bryer?”
“Not that I’m willing to discuss here. Have you ever been arrested?”
“There was that one time, for indecent exposure, peeing behind a dumpster at a club. I got a ticket, does that count?”
“Sorry, not cool enough.” She laughs.
“Mine is complete.” As I hand it over, she follows with hers. We pay, and the man hands us our paperwork.
“That was painless, let’s meet up with Clayton and Gen if they haven’t killed each other yet,” I suggest.
We slowly stroll the pathway, it’s filled with detailed carvings, flowers I’ve never seen. I rest my arm around her shoulder, and she leans into me. “Less than twenty-four hours baby, you nervous?” I ask.
“No, not even a little bit.”
I reach for her hand, bringing it to my mouth, kissing her ring, my ring, the symbol that she will be mine, forever. Even if I tried, I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face at this very moment.
We make it to the bar, it’s completely exposed to the elements, and half of it is covered, the other is open to the outdoors. I notice Clayton right away, and right by his side is Gen. Interesting. I squeeze Bryer’s hand as I nod in their direction.
“So they live,” she says.
We reach the bar and have a seat, ordering for the both of us, neither acknowledging us.
Bryer shrugs her shoulders.
I take it as a bad sign.
~ ~ ~
“I’d like a red bull and a vodka tonic,” Clayton orders.
“You’re doing it wrong,” Gen says.
“I’m ordering wrong? Deal with it.” Dismissing her much easier than Gen is able to.
