But I would never come back to him.

  Our story was finished.

  Or so I thought.

  The Frozen Kiss

The snow outside made the whole place look like a magical wonderland. But my eyes were searching for him. “Callum, stop!”

I ran to catch up to him because I could see him going away.

  But he kept walking.

  “Callum!”

He was on the street when I saw a car approach, and I reached just in time to pull Callum out of the car’s vicinity and into the snow. We were both on the ground, me on top of him and I was staring in his eyes. “Have you lost your hearing?”

“I thought you wanted me to leave!”

“Since when do you do everything I tell you to do?”

  “What?”

He looked confused, so I plastered my lips on him and kissed his frozen lips. He kissed me back and we started making out in the snow. “You’re crazy,” Callum said. “Are you sure you want this? You won’t change your mind in the next ten seconds and tell me to leave again?”

  “No, you idiot!”

“But I eat like a savage, and chew crudely and…”

  I kissed him again.

He looked at me, breathless. “I could get used to this.”

  I grinned. “So could I.”

He kissed me this time. “Callum and Jess.”

  “Jess and Callum…”
