“I was going to send a coded message. You didn't need to come in person.” she muttered back.
“Lilac?” he said becoming a little distracted. It had been three months since he had last seen her and his cock was already waking up with their closeness. Distance didn't just make the heart grow fonder, it made the body ache with need.
“I'm undercover remember? Suzanne wears lilac.”
He blinked.
“Who's Suzanne?” Looking away from her he eyed the room suspiciously wondering if there was someone else in the room he'd not noticed.
“I am.”
“What?” he looked back moving away slightly so that he could focus. Megan wriggled into a sitting position.
“Honestly you'd think you'd never done this before, Suzanne is my identity whilst I'm here. Now do you want my report or what?”
Barnabus took a deep breath and nodded his eyes instantly pulled down to Megan's chest. With a tut she pulled the covers up around her and coughed until he looked up at her face.
“That's better, if you're in such a hurry then you can listen first and look later okay?”
He grinned and nodded listening intently. It was too dangerous to use a recording device so he had to rely on his eidetic memory to retain the information needed.
Megan took a deep breath then with one glance at the door she began to speak.
“Lucias has been sending out messages to other ships and factions that stand against the Empire. Over the past weeks he's been busy in his engine room with his engineers working on something. I've not yet been able to see it but in talking to the engineers I persuaded one of them to let slip that it's a new weapon of some sort. It uses magnets to power it but more than that I do not know. There is a meeting planed between the various groups a month from now upon an airship docking platform near the Dolomites. I know of three different nations that are sending ships to the meeting but I will be able to find out more with a little more time,” she paused and looked at him running her tongue over her lips. He saw the worry in her eyes and instinctively reached out cupping her face rubbing a calloused thumb over her cheek. She leaned into his hand and sighed before continuing. “I think we've stumbled onto something that is far bigger than all of us. I don't know what's going to happen but with that many people collecting in one place it sounds like a council of....” she shuddered to a halt.
“War.” Barnabus finished her sentence when it was clear she couldn't, or wouldn't. She nodded meekly at him then bit her lip.
They looked at one another for a moment silence covering the words they didn't want to think about. It was a subtle shift in the engines and Barnabus remembered how short the time they had together was.
“Whatever the future holds and no matter how far apart we all end up being we need to remember to live in the moment and grab what opportunity we can.” His voice dropped low as he spoke and he leaned forward to her.
Through the thin cotton of her bed-sheet he could see her nipples harden their tips becoming hard points that poked forward. His stomach rumbled deeply and he licked his lips. He was old enough to have remembered the Anglo-Zulu war. He had only just joined up and being young and eager had been given the chance to work on the newly developed airships. Nothing like it had been used in battle before and although in the end they hadn't been much help in the majority of battles it was still an impressive sight seeing them rise into the air to act as lookouts and scouting units.
A lot of time had passed since then and he was much more reluctant to be pulled into another war. Working the odd smuggling job, or sneaking onto an enemy ship to gather information for the empire was all very well and something that he enjoyed but all out war. The thought of it made him chilled to the bone.
Megan shifted under the covers and he pulled his attention back to her. In the faint light from the lamp her hair shone like copper strands and he felt his body react to her presence. As he watched her breathing increased and her pupils widened causing her eyes to become darker than ever. As he let his eyes run down her body he could see the pulse in her neck run and smiled slightly, she was as nervous as he was. It had been a long time since they had been together.
Drawing her into his arms he held her close breathing in the lilac scent that seemed to coat her hair. He wished she could have been as she had been before screaming out his name in pleasure as they gave in completely in his state room, but it couldn't happen that way this time. Holding her tightly for a moment he let her go and tugged off the thin cotton bedsheets. Standing he looked down at her body revelling in it's nakedness and feeling his body react almost painfully to it. Moving down the bed he looked at her not breaking eye contact as he felt his way around only using looking at where his was going out of the corner of his eye.
Aware time was short he crept up the bed watching with a faint smile Megan's eyes widened but smile with a come hither look. Without waiting a single second he ran his hands up the inside of her thighs and nudged her legs apart. He could feel her heat and smell her arousal a heady scent that slid over his body tensing every muscle he had and sending him dizzy with delight. He ran his tongue over her skin enjoying her little moans as he moved higher until he reached his singular goal. There wasn't time for both of them to get what they wanted but he was going to be dammed if he wasn't going to give her something to remind him by.
Flattening his tongue he flicked it over her clit exactly the way she liked it and quickly had to pin her down flat on the bed to stop her moving. Lapping over her clit he grinned as she started to moan her body reacting instantly to him. He lost himself in his movements happily moving his tongue faster and faster whilst letting his fingers push their way into her curling them up a little in a way that sent shudders of delight through her. Megan bucked and rode his fingers clawing at the covers panting rapidly.
Briefly pausing to lick her juices from around his mouth he saw she had bitten a pillow to muffle her cries and grinned. Slowly he drew his fingers out of her and laughed softly as her muscles tried to keep him inside. With no warning he darted forward and pressed his tongue into her instead moving his fingers over her clit rubbing quickly.
Her whole body tensed clamping his head in place with her legs and for a brief moment he couldn’t breath as her orgasm crashed through her. Muffled screams sent his body aching with need but he only moved away from her when she had relaxed and removed the pillow from her face. Silently he sat up licked his lips and moved up the bed pinning her in place. Greedily she opened her mouth readily accepting her fingers sucking them clean as he groaned inwardly with desire.
Pulling his fingers back out he leaned down and kissed longingly.
“I can’t stay,” he murmured as he pulled away, “but this isn’t a goodbye.”
Standing up he looked down at her memorising every hair on her head knowing it could be a long time before they saw one another again then he turned away and moved to the door unlocking it silently. Listening for noise on the other side he slipped out and headed to the baggage compartment where he knew he would be able to leave unseen thanks to some bribing of the right people and the fact the airship was landing shortly.
