  She looked at him in surprise. “You’d do that for me? You’d move from here?”

  “Don’t you get it? I’d follow you to the ends of the earth. I’m ready to start over, Lexie, and I know how important your job is to you. I want to be your husband and I want to be the father of your children. Tell me you want that, too.”

  “I do. I want that, Nick.” Happiness soared through her as he leaned down and gently kissed her lips.

  “Then it’s settled,” he said as he straightened. “The nerd has found his mate.”

  Lexie laughed, knowing that she’d finally found the man who understood her, the man who got her quirks and found them charming. He was the man of her dreams and now he was hers. She knew their future would be filled with happiness and love and that the socks on his feet in bed would warm hers forever.
