Angry and nervous of the angels surrounding him, Mitch tries to put the pieces together. He knows that Hayley is the Archangel Gabriel.   Instrument of Chaos

The long hidden heart of the Twisted Curse had been found, concealed in a realm that no angel can enter, where magic runs wild and time is just another direction. The Twisted Curse is the key to ending the Eternity War and it can only be broken by someone willing to traverse the depths of Faerie.

Unfortunately, Mitch has other things on his mind. For reasons that currently escape him he’s going to university, making regular trips to the Netherworld and hunting down a demon. The Academy might have prepared him for university but Netherworlds and demons were inexplicably left off the curriculum, not to mention curse breaking.

And then the Angels return, and this time they’re hunting his best friend.

  Sacred Land Stories

  Tanya Reimer

Alternate history infused with magical reality

  Legends on the Prairies

“Don’t you believe in legends?” Such a simple question, yet what Sacri really wants Alex to believe is that he is the hero from her legends, meant to save land sacred to her tribe. Alex is a lot of things: a painter, a sculptor, a dreamer. Fired from a good job, grieving for a woman he hoped to marry, he is the local drunk. He is a lot of things, but hero isn’t one of them.

In the heart of the lonesome prairies in 1892, Sacri’s determination entrances Alex. Despite everything, Alex finds himself praying to a God that he thought had abandoned him, in the hope that just maybe there is some truth to Sacri’s stories. To add to Alex’s unease is the certainty that Sacri’s brother, Silver, often merely glimpsed as a shadow riding his horse across the horizon, will happily kill Alex if he turns out not to be the man that Sacri thinks he is.

  Cursed on the Prairies

Russ has the perfect life planned: go to college, marry Isabelle, farm with his father and brothers. But then Isabelle is snatched by a bunch of men dressed like ghosts.

Who are these men terrorising them and trying to burn his gal for being a witch? His father thinks they’re acting out to scare them off the land. His brother wonders if they’re wanting a sacred plant that grows in the tunnels. His ma knows of other secrets haunting them… While those things might be true, his ghostly grandpa, Silver, shows Russ something he can’t ignore: a curse summoned years ago that may doom them all.

With lingering spirits, a troubled girl shadowing his destiny, dark rituals, a love potion, cursed men plaguing their lands, a prison break that takes him away from home when his wife needs him the most, and the earth itself trying to suck them in, Cursed on the Prairies proves that, in 1928 the prairies are still a place full of secrets that even a ghost can’t bury.

  Reimar Breaking

The Prelude to the Iberan War

  Jonathan Rivalland

Of all the known worlds, of all their nations and all their peoples, there is little rarer than the Helions. Each of these ancient structures is a vast, freestanding portal to other worlds; made by an unknown hand long before humanity arose. Those who control one can claim vast wealth by means of trade and movement through these portals. And on the world of Brisia, it is controlled by the nation of Reimar.

Through both scheming and conflict, Reimar won out against its competitors to claim the territory in which the Helion stands. But Reimar’s rivals do not sit idle, and should widespread conflict break out between the more powerful nations, even the smaller countries have grudges to settle. Reimar’s wealth and prestige flows from trade, especially cross-world trade through the Helion. But there are signs of an imminent rebellion, especially among the younger members of more distant noble houses, and some rival nations are eager to take advantage of any internal distractions. Princess Siera du Tealdan has shown herself to be a strong and innovative military commander, while her older brother Ramiros enjoys life at the court of their father King Abarron du Tealdan.

When the situation in Reimar takes a shocking turn for the worse, Siera’s military expertise is desperately needed. With no mercenaries available for hire, Siera must pull off a miracle. Having only one skyship armed with ballistae and an under-strength Royal Guard, she must fend off the rebellion, while at the same time dealing with Reimar’s old enemy Iln, that has declared an opportunistic war in order to raid and pillage across the border. If the rebels gain control of the Helion, the kingdom will suffocate.

Reimar Breaking, the Prelude to the Iberan War, is the first volume in The Iberan War series.
