“What’s wrong?” he asked, looking at her oddly.

“Matt, for some reason your credit line is closed so I couldn’t place the order,” she said. Then she glanced at me.

“I can go,” I said, not wanting to hover around during his business.

“Don’t worry about it,” Matt said casually to me. Then he looked back at Jenna. “Call the bank and see what happened, must be a computer glitch.”

“I did,” she said. Tears were welling up in her eyes.

  “And?” he asked cautiously.

“And they said your accounts were wiped out clean, not a penny in them anymore,” she said.

“How the fuck is that possible?” Matt asked, turning to me.

“Do you think someone embezzled from you,” I said, trying to process a logical conclusion.

“I have no idea,” Matt said.

Jenna extended her hand and had five notes on pink message paper to hand to Matt. “These have all come in this morning, but I just got to them…sorry.”

Matt took the paper and stared down, his face growing paler by the second.

  “What’s wrong?” I asked.

He walked over to a bench and sat down, staring down at the pink paper. He breathed in and started talking. “My partner pulled out of the club for some reason and these other messages, they’re from the banks and a few of my creditors…I don’t understand.”

“And there’s this,” Jenna said, shoving her smartphone over to Matt for him to take.

He took it and held it out. It was opened up on her Twitter page. I looked over his shoulder and read:

@GloriaSanz Owner of Tonkins Gyms visited, gave me a prize & a workout, sucked his dick for four hours straight. Some free training session for me, huh? #DocSessions

Now my phone was ringing with a text message from Tina, my manager, referencing the Tweet and cautioning me to stay the hell away.

“Fuck, what a diabolical bitch,” Matt said.

“I’m sorry, friend, I had no idea that she’d do something like that. And honestly, I don’t think she would, but Bixby, he could force her to do whatever he wanted. I do know that.”

“She’s set us both up and we both fell for it. Fuck!” Matt said, slamming his hand on the bench and making an entire room full of people glance over at him.

“Just yesterday he threatened to bring people down that I was close with. I just didn’t think it would happen this soon,” I said. “I’m sorry. Maybe we can get this turned around and do some damage control. I’ll try to get you set up with a PR person right away, until it’s all cleared out, Matt.”

“And how the fuck am I supposed to pay for that?” he asked me, his face contorted and his composure shot.

“I’ve got it, man. Don’t worry. I’ve got you into this and I won’t abandon you.”

  Chapter 2

Lusty thoughts had naturally flooded my mind when I received Lina’s call and I was eager to go and accept whatever she wanted to give me, but now…after seeing what had just happened with Matt and putting some perspective into the situation, I really just needed to see Lina and find out what she was about. If she was a player, she was damn good because I never would have guessed it before. She seemed so genuine and authentic…it went to show that people really weren’t what they appeared to be at times, I suppose. Myself included.

I texted Lina when I pulled into the parking garage of my penthouse and made my way upstairs. Ten minutes later, she arrived. She had this spark in her eyes that made me think I’d better stay quiet and let her proceed with her plans. Her outfit, too, was so sexy, but effortless. She had a red wrap blouson on with a pair of jeans that was low on her waist, showing her taut stomach and a pair of black boots.

“Lina, I need to talk with you,” I said.

“I don’t need to talk right now,” she replied. She walked right up to me and took my hand, guiding me to my bedroom. She didn’t say a word and I was struggling between desires and common sense. She was a powerful woman, a weapon that no man could easily resist. Her body was her persuasion, her looks the drug that made me become unwillingly submissive.

Slowly and sweetly, she stripped me down and I laid back on my bed. Then she removed all her clothes in a playful, lusty strip tease and I watched in appreciation, admiring every curve of her body and the come hither looks she gave me. So confident and assured…more so than the other day.

She climbed on top of me and started to kiss me, nibbling my body and making her way downward, thrusting her hips on top of my raging hard-on, teasing me with her circular rocking, as though she was about to mount me, but making sure I stopped just short of penetration. Every time my hands tried to move up and touch her, she put them down, giving me a cautionary look. I was reeling in excitement and my nerves were jumping, so eager to touch her creamy flesh and have her slide onto me. I wanted her prize badly…

“Ugh,” I gasped, releasing the pent-up energy as she suddenly slid her mouth down on my cock and started to aggressively fuck it with her mouth, making me lose all control. Without even realizing it was happening, my hips jutted up and I released in her mouth. She sat up and stared at me, swallowing it down and licking her lips. “Mmm, so good, Simon.”

“Lina, what the…” I couldn’t even finish my statement because I was so out of sorts. I had to get a grip and organize my thoughts. I had to ask Lina all the questions that were on my mind, not only for my sanity but to help Matt, too. If he’d already been taken down by Bixby it wouldn’t be long before my parents were in his crosshairs.

“Did you like that? I’m so wet,” she purred.

For some reason, hearing her become a sex kitten was just what I needed to regain my composure and deal with what I had to. I sat up and guided her next to me so I could look at her and talk to her without getting distracted by the connection of our bodies.

“Lina, when you first came to see me did you really have sexual problems that you wanted to talk about or was it something else?”

“What do you mean?” she asked, looking at me like the Lina that was smart and sincere, not a tempting vixen.

“Were you coming to see me because you needed my help or you wanted to set me up with one of your friends? Which is it?” I asked. My tone and the look I had let her know that I wasn’t kidding around. I needed to find out.

“Well, at first I did have a few issues with Ralph and wanted some expert advice on them. You kept avoiding me though and refusing to see me. I just decided that I had to handle matters myself, that you didn’t want to help me for some reason.”

“Really?” I asked, now feeling lousy for avoiding her because I’d wanted her.

“Yeah, but once I let myself explore my desires, all except losing my virginity—that will only be after I’m married, I grew more excited and found it to be so exhilarating, really appealing to me. I love all the things I can do with Ralph and how it tests my limits and his; what we do when we’re creatively trying to get around him actually penetrating me with his dick - it’s wild and it’s adventurous.”

“But your virginity is that important to you?” I asked, trying to piece it together and really, I was still trying to determine if Lina was honest.

“I’m a romantic that way, I guess, but all of this, coming close but not quite doing it is a real turn-on, more than what I ever would have thought. Maybe I’ll never lose my virginity, who knows.” She laughed, but I didn’t. I thought it was really sad. “Now, Ralph and I are always going strong and when he needs more, he gets it. And I guess that when I need more, I know where to get it, too.”

Ouch! I was so astounded by her confession that the words didn’t come easily to me. I really didn’t know what to say and I felt stung. I’d always wanted a woman that was just about the sex and here Lina was, just about the sex, or so it seemed, but I wanted more. Damn…

“Hey, you okay?” she asked me. Her look showed she was genuinely concerned, but also curious. She didn’t understand.

  I was so jeal
ous of Bixby at that moment. If he hadn’t met her first, it might be me that was in this situation, waiting to marry her. Only I wasn’t a snake like him. “So, did it help your relationship when you got more experience?” It was so hard for me to ask that.

“Yeah, those pornos were great, taught me a few things and we even used them for props a few times.”

“And that made everything better?” I asked. I couldn’t stand this conversation.

Lina nodded. “After the first time, Ralph seemed so happy. Then he started to become more affectionate, more traditional, I guess that’s how you’d say it.”

“So, it worked,” I commented. Of course, I was pleased that my suggestion had worked, but it was certainly bitter sweet. Thoughts of her and Bixby growing tighter were repulsive to me and I felt like I was luring the beauty into the beast’s lair.

“But now your engagements broken off and your feelings have changed,” I said. I glanced down, thinking this had to be the strangest conversation I’d ever had naked.

“I still have feelings for him,” she said.

“Enough to be with him?” I asked. Big question.

She didn’t answer, which was an answer in itself. “So, why are you here with me?”

“Because I’m confused, Simon. I have feelings for you, too, but I still want to marry Ralph.”

“You do?” I asked. My heart sunk into my stomach.

“Yes,” Lina whispered into my ear. She backed up a bit and said, “I know what Ralph is capable of, and if he doesn’t get what he wants…it’s just better this way so no one else gets hurt.”

“But what about you?” I asked.

“That doesn’t matter right now,” she said. “I know what he did to Matt Tonkins. He’ll only get worse if he doesn’t get what he wants. I can’t have him hurting everyone that way, I just can’t.”

With that, I watched Lina get up and get dressed. I did, too, and we were both quiet. Honestly, I had no idea what to say. Should I tell her I loved her? Should I just leave things as it is and let her go…I had no idea. Why was I so tied up in a knot about what to do? Me, Simon Sessions, actually have no clue about what to do.

“Bye, thanks for the talk,” she said. She kissed me on the forehead dismissively and walked out of my bedroom and then out of the penthouse. I didn’t even move.

  Chapter 3

Once again, I found myself in the situation of not hearing from Lina for days. She’d seek me out, get what she wanted, and then disappear, not responding to my texts or messages. I didn’t get why she did it. Maybe it was a self-defense mechanism or possibly, it was just how she’d decided to play the game…whatever game it was that she was enjoying so much.

I was finally back at work and into the work routine I was most familiar with, but did have to deal with some fallout from what was happening with Matt. People knew we were tight and they’d ask me about it. That irritated me greatly because I wasn’t a gossip and I sure wasn’t about to trash talk my best friend.

It was time to review all my client files and updated notes in them. I was hard at work, thinking about how many women had moved on from my help, some now married with productive lives and others just on to their next sexual adventure. I knew it was the harsh truth—that I was nothing more than a gigolo with a title to some of them. Oh well, I really had wanted to help them, even if it involved unconventional means.

My phone rang and I glanced at it. It was Pamela. “Yeah, Pamela.”

“There’s someone out here who wants to see you, Ms. Lee,” she said. “I told her you didn’t want to be disturbed but she insisted I ask, sorry.”

“That’s all right, Pamela. You can send her back,” I said.

Finally, Lina had decided to show herself again. What did she want today?

“Simon, hi, you look well,” she said, walking in and smiling at me. She was glowing, but overly poised, making it seem a bit fake.

“Lina, hi, nice to see you again,” I said. “You need to hire an assistant to help you return calls, or get a new phone. Maybe yours is broken.”

“Still witty and handsome, I see,” she said playfully. She wasn’t going to let me ruffle her feathers.

“I do the best I can,” I said.

“I have something for you,” she said. She handed me an envelope and it brought back a rather painful memory.

“You didn’t write another play, did you?” I asked.

She started laughing. “No, this is about a production of a different sort, Simon.”

I glanced at the envelope with the perfect calligraphy that read: Dr. Simon Sessions and Guest. Oh God, please don’t be what I think it is, I thought. I opened it up, sure enough. It was a wedding invitation—for two weeks’ out!

“Two weeks, what’s the rush? I know you don’t have any unexpected surprises growing inside of you,” I said. My voice was sarcastic, but I was trying to collect my thoughts and buy myself some time. My heart plummeted, and I had to get a grip on myself.

“Very funny, but I figured, why wait to marry the man I love. This has been going on for far too long, really.”

I couldn’t stand it. I got up and walked around my desk and grabbed her wrist. She looked at me with defiance in her eyes. “Is this really what you want? To marry a man you detest, a man who wants to control you?”

“Absolutely, it’s always been the plan,” she said, staring me right in the eyes. I heard a slight waver in her voice.

  “What about you?” I asked.

“Like I said, I don’t want anyone else to get hurt. This has to stop and it will because in two weeks I’ll be Mrs. Ralph Bixby.”

“You’re not even keeping your name?” I asked. “What about your career?”

“That’s secondary. A powerful man like Ralph needs to have a wife with the same name,” she said casually.

“I would never ask you to do such a thing,” I snapped.

“But we’re not getting married, Simon.”

“What about us, Lina? Doesn’t that mean anything to you?” I put my hands on her arms and held her firmly. My grip was glued in place. “You know how I feel about you, right?”

  Lina’s eyes widened. “What…I’m…I suspected, maybe, but I didn’t really know…”

She mumbled and I put my finger over her lips. It was now or never! “That’s my fault for not saying it, then. Lina Lee, I love you, and I want to be with you. I’d never ask you to change anything or not be exactly who you wanted to be.”

I stared into her eyes and saw so much taking place. There was warmth, fear, and then there was hesitation and resistance. I leaned in and kissed her, strong and hard, showing the urgency that I was feeling inside of me. When my lips separated from hers, I looked into her eyes again.

  “I didn’t know…” Lina said again.

“Now you do. Don’t marry Ralph,” I said. “Please don’t marry him.”

“Simon, I’m sorry, but I am marrying him. I didn’t mean to mislead you into believing that I wanted more or I needed saving. My plan has always been to marry Ralph and that’s what I have to do.”

“But is it what you want to do?” I asked.

Her eyes welled up with tears and she turned around and ran out of the office. My heart wanted to chase her, but I decided not to. Instead, I walked back over to my desk, feeling emotionally shredded and thinking about college when I’d lost the only other woman that I’d said I loved. Was a loveless life all alone what I was destined for?

  Chapter 4

I was driving myself crazy with my inability to give up Lina. I didn’t believe her reasoning for marrying Ralph. Worse yet, she made me want to be the good guy, the knight in shining armor, even though I wanted to be the bad guy, the guy who couldn’t care less, couldn’t give a fuck about anyone. Instead, she inspired me to step up to the plate to be the better man.

Many ideas on how I could dig deeper into Lina agreeing to marry Ralph again—in just two weeks time—came to my mind and there seemed to be only one feasible opti
on. Maybe if I got to her mother and stepfather, I’d be able to better understand. After all, she’d indicated that Bixby had something on them. Maybe there was another way out of the situation. I knew one thing, I’d never know unless I tried.

Two phone calls later, a golf date at the Golf Club of Newcastle, followed by dinner was arranged. A nice little threesome at the same golf course where I’d had the scrumptious honor of playing with Lina just a few months back…a few months that felt like an eternity in some ways and like no more than a few days ago in others. The woman was messing with my head!
