  She started crying then her tears turned into anger. She left me, Nadia thought. She really left me. Nadia couldn‘t believe that her mother had left her. She was feeling stuck without her. She hadn‘t been to work in almost two weeks and knew that she was probably fired. She hadn‘t been to school in just as long and didn‘t have the desire to. Nyzir had been giving her more problems than a little bit since the funeral, and she was just tired of everybody and everything.

  She jumped up and ran downstairs. She snatched down all the pictures of Nicole and threw them on the ground. “AHHHHH!” She screamed. As she threw more pictures down.

  Nyzir jumped out of his sleep when he heard the glass break and his sister scream. He ran downstairs to see what was wrong. “Nadi you okay?” He asked.

  “Leave me alone!” She yelled as she kicked over the glass table in the living room. “Go back to bed and leave me the hell alone!”

  Nyzir ran upstairs and grabbed the phone that Mario bought him. He dialed his number hoping he would answer. “What‘s up Zir? I‘m on my way,” Mario said.

  “Hurry! Nadia‘s going crazy, and I‘m scared,” Nyzir said right before another big crash could be heard.

  “What the hell is that Nyzir?” Mario asked with concern.

  “That‘s Nadi! She crazy!”

  “Stay in your room. I‘m on my way,” Mario said before he hung up.

  Nadia was doing everything she could to release her pent up frustration. She was throwing dishes everywhere. “You promised! You promised you would be here for me!” She cried. “You left me just like my daddy did! Y‘all fucking left me!”

  Mario and Jax busted through the door to find glass everywhere. They heard Nadia yelling from the kitchen and ran to see if she was okay. She was throwing plates and glass cups everywhere.

  “I know you got a little life in you left.” She sang and cried at the same time. Mario slowly walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her. “I know you got a little strength left.” She sobbed into his chest as he held her.

  Jax had to walk away and wipe a tear that had fell. He hated to see Nadia hurting like that. He looked at her like a little sister and hated the shit she was going through. He pulled out his phone and called Marisa.

  “Hello?” She asked groggily.

  “Get to Nadi‘s now,” he said before hanging up. He sat on the couch with his head in his hands.

  “It‘s going to be okay baby. She‘s in a better place,” Mario said.

  “I don‘t want her there, I want her here...I need her here,” Nadia cried.

  “Think of it like this, she doesn‘t have to suffer anymore, and she‘s at peace,” Mario explained.

  Marisa wasted no time getting to Nadia‘s house. She still had her pajamas and bonnet on. She didn‘t care because now was not the time to be looking cute. She used her key to let herself in and gasped at the sight before her. “What happened?” She whispered.

  “Kitchen,” Jax said.

  She walked in the kitchen and shook her head. She knew this would happen as much as she hated to admit it. “Aw baby,” she said as she walked over to Mario and Nadia making sure not to step on any glass. Mario stepped back to let the friends do their thing.

  He walked into the living room and looked around again. “I think it‘s about time that we take that trip,” he said.

  “I‘m already on it. The flights are already booked. We leave in two hours,” Jax said.

  Mario ran up the stairs to check on Nyzir. He knocked on the door lightly. “It‘s me Zir,” he said before going in.

  Nyzir was sitting on his bed with his knees to his chest. “Is Nadi mad at me?” He asked.

  “Of course not, why would she be mad at you?”

  “Because she yelled at me, and Nadi never yells at me. So she‘s mad at me.”

  “Nadi’s not mad at you Nyzir. She’s just sad right now because she didn’t get a chance to cry out all her feelings. She kept them bottled in until she couldn’t take it anymore, and they exploded. She got it all out now so she’ll be good. Your sister loves you, you know that right?” Mario asked.

  Nyzir nodded his head yes. “I love her too.” He smiled slightly.

  “Good, so I came to ask you how would you feel about going on a vacation? You, me, Nadia, Marisa, and Jax. All of us?”

  “Yeahh, where we going?” Nyzir asked excitedly.

  “How about the Bahamas?” Mario asked.

  “Let’s go!” Nyzir jumped off the bed.

  Mario couldn’t help, but to smile. He knew that if he could make Nyzir happy, he could do the same for Nadia. He just wanted to get her away from New York as soon as possible so she can get a breath of fresh air and leave all her problems here.

  Nadia was standing on the patio of her villa, loving the feel of the night breeze. They had only been in the Bahamas for a day, but she was in love and feeling relaxed already. This is what she needed. Just to get away and forget about everything.

  Mario sat in the chair watching Nadia. He was happy to see her enjoying herself. He was finishing up his blunt when Nadia walked over and sat on his lap. She laid her head on his shoulder. “Thank you,” she said softly.

  “For what?” He asked as he ran his fingers through her hair.

  “For everything, for being there when you didn’t have to be.”

  “You don’t have to thank me,” Mario said.

  Nadia sat up and looked into his eyes. She loved how they looked under the moonlight, and the fact that they were low made them look even sexier. She adjusted her body so that she was straddling him. She slowly started grinding as she felt him become hard.

  She reached under his shirt and rubbed his abs. “Nadi-” Mario tried to speak, but she cut him off by softly kissing his lips. She let her hands travel down to his shorts where she unbuttoned them and reached in his boxers. Something was telling Mario to stop her, but her hands were feeling too good on his dick.

  “Don’t stop me,” she said as if she was reading his mind. “I don’t want you to deny me.”

  She lifted up a little, pulled her dress up and pushed her thong to the side while she continued to massage his shaft making it harder by the second. She eased herself down on him and let out a small gasp. She had only been with one other person, and that was Jaron and he wasn’t as big as Mario. She sat still for a minute so she could get used to his size.

  Mario let his head fall back. Nadia was wet and tight as fuck. He put the blunt out and his hands immediately went to her hips. He scooted down in the chair a little before she slowly started winding her hips. He opened his eyes and stared at her intently as she started getting more and more into it.

  Nadia never broke eye contact as she bounced up and down on Mario’s dick. For some reason, she couldn’t look away from him. Mario held on to her waist as he sped up underneath her.

  “Ahhhh!” Nadia cried out as he hit her spot continuously. Mario didn’t want her to wake up Nyzir, so he kissed her to keep her from crying out.

  “Shit,” he moaned against her lips. “This shit is tight.”

  Nadia put her hands on his shoulders and pushed him back so she could get up. She turned around so that her back was facing him and inserted him back in her. She put her hands on her thighs and rode him backward. She threw her head back and Mario grabbed a handful of her hair.

  “This shit is mines now,” he said sternly. When she didn’t say anything, he jerked her head a little. “You hear me?”

  “Yesss! It’s yours,” Nadia cried out.

  Mario lifted her up while he was still inside of her and walked her over to the balcony. He pinned her hands on the rail as he pounded in and out of her unmercifully.

  “Ahh…” Nadia had to bite her lip to stop from screaming. She just knew she was about to draw blood. She started shaking, and her legs started to give out.

  “That’s right baby, cum for daddy,” Mario said as he felt himself about to follow up behind her. He thrust in and out of her a few
more times before he released his seeds deep inside of her. That was when he realized that he didn’t have a condom on. “Shit,” he cussed.

  “What’s wrong?” Nadia asked as she tried to walk. She looked up at him with lazy eyes.

  Mario laughed a little. “Nothing, nothing at all. Let’s get cleaned up and hit the sheets. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow.”

  The next morning Mario woke up early to cook breakfast. He tried to wake up Nadia, but she wouldn‘t budge so he just went ahead and woke Nyzir up so he could get him to eat something without Nadia having to fight with him. He knew he had worked her lil ass out last night, so he was going to let her rest.

  “Aw shit, I‘m just in time for breakfast,” Jax said as he and Marisa walked into their villa.

  “Ain‘t enough for y‘all greedy asses,” Mario laughed.

  “Whatever hater,” Marisa said as she hit him in the arm. “Where my girl at?”

  “I don‘t think she‘ll be up for a couple more hours,” he said as he gave Jax a sly smile.

  “Nigga no you didn‘t,” Jax laughed. He knew what that little smile meant.

  “What happened?” Marisa asked oblivious to the fact of what just went down between the cousins.

  “Baby, it seems that Nadia is in a dick coma and won‘t be coming out of it for a while,” Jax laughed.

  “What?” She asked. Finally, it hit her what Jax meant, and she rushed to the bedroom to get Nadia. When she reached the room, Nadia was knocked out. She was stretched out on the bed with her mouth slightly open. She was sleeping so peacefully that she didn‘t want to wake her. She knew it had been a while since she had gotten a good nights sleep, so she left her alone.

  She walked back into the kitchen shaking her head. She couldn‘t say anything. She was happy for her best friend. Nadia needed to get her groove on because the only boy she had ever been with was Jaron‘s crazy ass.

  “So how about we just go chill out on the beach because it doesn‘t look like she‘ll be waking up anytime soon,” Marisa suggested.

  “My nigga.” Jax smiled as he gave Mario some dap.

  “Y‘all are stupid.” She shook her head. “Nyzir when you‘re done, go put your swim trunks on.”

  “Nadia still sleep?” Nyzir asked.

  “Yes, but she‘ll meet up with us later,” Mario answered.

  Nyzir got up from the table and looked at Mario with his head tilted. “I‘m not as dumb as people think I am.”

  “You‘re not dumb at all man,” Mario said.

  “I know. I saw you and Nadi last night and I know what you two were doing. Just nasty.” He shook his head before walking back to his room.

  Marisa, Jax, and especially Mario, stood there with shocked expressions on their faces. Mario thought Nyzir was sleep last night and that he and Nadia were quiet, but apparently not.

  Nadia didn‘t wake up until three o‘clock in the afternoon. She looked at the pillow next to her where Mario left her a note saying they were at the beach and would be waiting on her. Just thinking about Mario made her smile until she realized how sore she was. She shook her head and smiled even harder thinking that last night was worth the soreness.

  She got up and took her shower before throwing on the swimsuit she bought the day they got to the Bahamas. She didn‘t bother putting her hair in a ponytail and just let it fall down her back. She walked out on the beach that was connected to the resort in search of her family. She saw Jax chasing Nyzir on the beach, and Marisa lying on a towel acting like she was getting a tan. Mario was standing with his feet in the water, so she walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around him.

  “You‘re finally up, huh?” He asked without turning around.

  “Yeahh, why didn‘t you wake me up?” She asked.

  “Because you needed the rest that‘s why,” he answered as he pulled her to the front of him, pulling her close to him and grabbing her ass.

  Nadia just laid her head on his chest as the warm water came up to their legs. “It‘s so beautiful here. I hate we have to leave,” she said.

  “I did some thinking,” Mario said. “When we get back home I want you and Nyzir to come stay with me for a few days.” Mario didn‘t want Nadia going back to her house anytime soon. He knew she was just now starting to grieve the loss of her mother, and he didn‘t want her to go crazy at home with all those memories and things reminding her of her mom.

  Nadia just nodded her head and didn‘t say anything because she knew there was no point in arguing with him. Once he had his mind and heart set on something, there was no detouring him from it. After all she didn‘t mind being away from her house for a while, she didn‘t know how much longer she would be able to take it.

  Neeman didn‘t tell his sister, but he was being released from prison this morning on good behavior. He had to hurry up and get home to his sister and brother, especially Nadia because he didn‘t like the company she was keeping. He knew his sister was technically grown, but that didn‘t mean he would stop looking out for her.

  He knew Mario and what type of nigga he was, and he didn‘t want his sister being around him because he wasn‘t any good. He didn‘t care what he had to do, but he wasn‘t going to allow them two to be together.

  He walked out of prison happy as hell. He had only done four out of the five years he was sentenced, but he was still happy about going home. He smiled when he saw Jason pulling up to the prison gate.

  “Nigga, you better act like yo black ass happy to be a free man,” Jason laughed.

  “Man, happy ain‘t the word!” Neeman expressed.

  “Welcome back Nemo,” Jason said as he gave Neeman a brotherly hug.

  “It feels good to be back. Now, I need to check on my brother and sister.”

  “Word around the block is they been staying with that nigga Mario for about a month now,” Jason said.

  “What?” Neeman asked shocked. “Who told you that?”

  “You know me and Marisa used to kick it hard. I was on her block the other day, so I stopped by to see what was up. I asked how Nadia and Nyzir been doing because I was going to stop by, but she told me they ain‘t been there in almost a month. Tasha said she seen Nadia coming and going from his house and the only reason she ain‘t beat her ass is because that‘s your sister,” Jason explained.

  “This shit has gone too fucking far. Well, I‘m home now, and they will be bringing they asses back home where they belong,” Neeman said. He felt like Mario was only trying to mess with Nadia because she was vulnerable right now.

  Nadia had come home from school early because she wasn‘t feeling good. Marisa told her she would drop Nyzir off when school got out so she wouldn‘t have to worry about them. She was starting to get too used to living with Mario, and that wasn‘t a good thing for her. She didn‘t want to get too attached to him because she wasn‘t really trying to be in a serious relationship right now.

  She appreciated him for everything he had done especially when he didn‘t have too. She loved him for being there for her, but she wasn‘t in love with him. She looked at him more like a best friend than she did a boyfriend. They hadn‘t put any labels on what they were, and she liked it like that. The only thing they did that would make it seem like they were a couple was have sex.

  She heard him shut the front door and was wondering what he was doing home so early. She was about to run down the stairs to meet him, but she stopped when she heard another voice. A female voice.

  “Where‘s the little girl at?” Tasha asked.

  “At school, but that‘s really none of your concern right now,” Mario said as he went to the kitchen to get him a beer. He was irritated, and the only reason he even let Tasha come over was because she said she had something for him.

  Nadia stood at the top of the stairs so she could hear what they were saying.

  “Aight, what you got for me?” Mario asked as he sat on the couch.

/>   Tasha straddled his lap as she dug in her purse for a condom. “This is what you wanted right?” She asked as she started grinding.

  “Why you gotta play?” Mario laughed.

  “I‘m not the one playing. You are, so now all I have to ask is when can I come home?”

  “You can come home now because me and my brother will be getting out of your way,” Nadia said as she ran down the stairs, scaring both Mario and Tasha.

  “What the fuck!” Mario yelled as he jumped up. “Nadia what are you doing here?”

  Nadia just rolled her eyes and headed for the front door without saying anything. She wasn‘t mad at him, how could she be when they weren‘t even together? She heard Mario calling after her, but she ignored him as she jumped in her new car and left.

  When she reached her old house, she was surprised to see Jason and Neeman chilling on the porch. She pulled her car in the driveway and immediately threw the car in park before jumping out. “Nemoooo!” She yelled as she ran into her brother’s arms.

  “What‘s up lil squirt?” He laughed.

  “When did you get home and why didn‘t you tell me?” Nadia asked.

  “Today and I wanted to surprise you. The question is why you not at school?”

  “I was, but I didn‘t feel good, so I left.”

  “What‘s wrong?” Neeman asked with a raised eyebrow.

  “Nothing major, I‘m just really tired and light headed. I‘m about to go take a nap,” Nadia said before slowly walking in the house. It had been over a month since she had been in here. She looked around and felt more at peace now than she did the last time. She believed that her mother was in a better place now. She would rather have her up in heaven being happy and watching over her than down here with her living unhappily and suffering.

  She went to her room and laid down. He phone had been vibrating like crazy ever since she left Mario‘s house, but she ignored it knowing it was only him. As soon as her head hit the pillow, she was out like a light.
