Enchantment

A growl sounded deep within his throat.
She rolled her hips, his hard shaft growing with each glide of her hips. Little by little, her kisses moved lower, until she knelt between his thighs. She undid the snap on his jeans and slowly slid the zipper down. Her breathing increased to a whimpering pant as she watched his shaft sprint forward, the thick mushroom head purple, the thick veins throbbing along the length.
With a low growl, she answered.
Kerrigan shredded her clothes, leaving them both naked and wanting. She ran her fingertips down his torso, and then continued to his thigh. His cock throbbed with excitement. Gently, she wrapped her fingers around his shaft.
He moaned deeply, his hard-on pulsing beneath her touch. She tightened her grip, sliding it slowly up and down at first, and then quickening the pace. She’d do anything to please him. His pleasure only intensified hers.
Her hair cascaded across his thighs as she bent, her tongue darting out to trace across the head of his length. Moaning, she trailed her lips down to the tender sacs at the base. Flicking her tongue over them, she relished his groan of pleasure, her own spiking. She shivered when his fingers burrowed into her hair, guiding her as she took him into her mouth. Lost in the taste and feeling of him in her mouth, she bobbed her head, her hair tangled in his fingers.
When he pulled her roughly from him, she uttered a squeak of protest a moment before she found herself pressed to his chest, his eyes flashing amber. “Was it wrong?”
“If you keep it up, it’s going to end much too quickly.”
She whimpered. His lips captured hers, and. with a quick roll of his body, she rested under his large domineering body. His tongue thrust into her mouth. His masculine scent, mixed with tangy citrus and spice, overwhelmed her senses. His hand slid down her curves, pausing to caress her breast, her hip, before trailing through the soaked curls to her core. Stifling a scream as he slid a single finger inside, Meeka felt her world tilt and clung to him.
Eliciting the right response, Kerrigan moaned, plunging his fingers deeper into her sweet wetness. Her hips thrust upwards into his hand, demanding gratification. When he removed his fingers, Meeka cried out. Her hands reached for his buttocks, nails scoring the pale flesh.

Passion filled her violet eyes as her swollen lips lifted in a smile. Bending his head, he sucked on a nipple before shifting, groaning at the brush of his sensitive cock against the sheets. Her whimper of displeasure when he leaned back pushed passed his control. Hooking her knees with his arms, he spread her and leaned forward, his hard-on pressing against the engorged, moist flesh of her vagina. Holding her gaze, he pushed, groaning when Meeka pushed her hips up. He thrust deep inside her.
His world was spinning. Nothing else existed. He opened his eyes, his dragon form begging to devour her, to claim what was his by right. They were surrounded in a large ball of pink flames that danced around with their excitement.
He stared into her eyes. Each of them joined body and soul. His nails elongated as they slid down the side of sexy thigh.
“I’m not scared of you, Kerrigan. Your dragon doesn’t frighten me.”
Kerrigan closed his eyes, knowing he was losing his battle. Their thrusts became faster and faster, each one reaching for ultimate release. Colors no longer existed for Kerrigan, only the feel of her tight, wet sheath and the noises of pleasure rippling from her throat. Tearing his mouth away from her lips, he bent his head to her breast, scraping her skin with his teeth, which now had become sharp points.
Meeka pleaded. “Yes, Kerrigan, please. I want you.”
With one deep thrust, he roared with release, sinking his teeth into her breast.
He felt her tighten around his cock before she released, screaming out with her climax. Kerrigan moaned in ultimate satisfaction, pumping the last of his seed deep into her womb.
Her screams of gratification drove him wild. Her soft, wet muscles clenched and released with multiple orgasms. She clung to him, riding the waves of passion.
Kerrigan fought for control. The beast in him could continue to feast on her forever, but he slowly demanded control and removed his teeth, lapping at the openings to close them.
Meeka’s breathing eventually slowed, and Kerrigan rolled to his side, taking her with him. She fit to him perfectly. His arms squeezed her tightly in a sudden abandoned hug.
How would he ever live without her? Meeka squeaked. “Kerrigan, I can’t breathe. He loosened his grip, but only by a little.
“Sorry.” Then, looking down toward her breast, sheepishly, he continued, “Did I hurt you? I’m sorry, precious. You drive me crazy, and the dragon in me is somewhat uncontrollable.”
Meeka chuckled seductively. “I like your dragon, and I think he likes me,” she snickered. “I think you’re right. He likes you a lot.”
His smile slowly faded, and he kissed her deeply. “Damn it Meeka, why’d you have to fall into the water where you did?” He cursed.
She stiffened. “What do you mean? Do you really dislike having me here so much?”
Kerrigan realized his words hadn’t come out the way he meant them to. “No, no, that’s not what I meant. If you hadn’t fallen into the water, Thalius wouldn’t be after you, wouldn’t be plotting to hurt you. I don’t know if I can protect you against him.”
“Kerrigan, I trust you. I know you would never let him do anything to me, even if he wants to. Right? Tell me about you, who you are. What are your parents like? Do you remember your birth parents at all?”
Forcing the tension from his muscles, he shifted on the bed. “I’m not sure what topic I’d rather talk about.” He paused. “I’ll tell you what I know about my parents if you tell me about yours.”
He caught the flare of emotion in her eyes before she nodded. “You go first. Do you know who your parents are?”
“No, I actually didn’t until just recently. They just dumped me when I was a baby.” Meeka cringed. “They dumped you? Sounds harsh.”
Kerrigan pushed a pillow behind their heads as he continued. “They left a letter.” He laughed harshly. “Can you believe they actually had enough nerve to lie and say they loved me, and Todd and Paddy needed to teach me about real love and family? Ironic, isn’t it? Leave your one and only child, but hope he will grow up to learn what love is.”
“But Paddy and Todd love you very much.”
“Yes, I know they do, and I will be eternally grateful. I grew up loved and cared for by two amazing people.” He tweaked her nose with a playful, if somewhat forced grin. “Okay, your turn. Tell me about your home and parents.”
“Well, unlike you, I have parents who don’t love or care about me.”
Kerrigan remembered the scars she was already carrying when he healed her the first time. “How do you know they don’t love you?”
“They drink—a lot.” She plucked at the bedding, her eyes downcast. “I grew up with it.”
Kerrigan could tell he was going to have to pull more out or her. “What do you mean they drink? What do they drink?”
“I guess it would be similar to your Swish, but we don’t call it the same. They are inebriated all the time, everyday. My dad is not very friendly when he’s drunk. Neither is my mom. They don’t know what the word love means. I’m like the biggest mistake of their lives—something they’ve taken great delight in reminding me. Unless they need something—money, a ride—and then they’re nice.”
Kerrigan could hear the anguish in her voice. “Meeka, I don’t want to make you sad. I’m sorry. If I could change it, I would.”
Meeka looked into his blue eyes. “I’ve never told anybody how I’ve felt. I have to take care of them. If I didn’t, they’d be dead. I’m sure they’d kill each other. Maybe they’ve already killed one another since I’ve been gone.”
Kerrigan pulled her close and kissed her on the nose. “I can’t imagine, but I know you don’t deserve to live in such an environment.”
“Catz told me something I thin
k you should know…I believe it’s my fault my parents hate me.”
Kerrigan frowned. “They sound pretty messed up, so I don’t see how it could be. What did Catz tell you?”
“She told me she thinks my father is not my real father. She believes I’m the daughter of some sorcerer named Tethran. I don’t know how it all fits together.”
Kerrigan’s heart froze. He’d heard of Tethran, the great sorcerer. As the tales went, he was more powerful than anyone could imagine. The Counselors spoke of him and kept those like him away from Enchantment. They couldn’t truly keep one with so much power away. Kerrigan wondered if Thalius had put two and two together. If Catz had, maybe he’d figured it out, too.
“I’ve heard of him. It might explain the powers you have. I’ll speak with Catz about it later.” “Tell me more about you.” Meeka changed the subject again.
“Well, I can’t even tell you what species I come from, except they were able to jump into our dimension and place me here. They said I would be the Enforcer here on Enchantment, and eventually, the survival of this world would depend on me. So beyond my job description, I have no knowledge of or really any use for my true parents, and no wish to ever know who they are.”
Silence ensued as Meeka began to shake. “Why are you trembling?”
Tears formed in her eyes. “What if Threeo’s vision is true? I had a horrible nightmare.” A tear flowed down her face. “I killed everything. Even you.”
He kissed her tears away and held her close. “You like me too much to kill me.” he snickered in her ear, trying to lighten the mood.
A sniffle and a laugh burst from her, and she swatted him with a pillow. “Aren’t you arrogant?” She took a deep breath. “Kerrigan, I’m scared.”
“Ah, come on now. Threeo’s vision is not coming true. He gets things wrong all the time.” He couldn’t let her see he didn’t believe his own dismissal of the vision. It seemed so farfetched, it was impossible to believe, and yet…
“Kerrigan, are you sure you never want to know who your real parents are?” Meeka asked, suddenly serious.
“I have no use for them,” he said coldly.
“Do you think this Tethran guy would like to know who I am?”
“Meeka, I only believed him to be a fable, like a lot of other things here in Enchantment, but from what the fables tell of him…he would not quite fit the fatherly image. He’s apparently quite ruthless to those he thinks deserve it.”
“How do you know what other special powers you might have if you don’t know who your parents are?”
“I have all the powers I need to protect Enchantment.” He pulled her tighter into his embrace, tugging the covers up over them.
“Are you sure you could never leave Enchantment?”
“No one ever leaves Enchantment, least of all those of us who live here,” he answered grimly.
* * * *
Pushing against his chest, she tried to get up, her eyes scalded with tears. “Meeka I’m sorry, I never meant to hurt you. I just… There isn’t any way.”
She nodded, snuggling against him. She understood. He wasn’t willing to consider leaving Enchantment, either. She looked at Kerrigan through unshed tears. “I understand, Kerrigan. It’s all right. I know you never meant to hurt me,” she said with a small smile. It wouldn’t do any good to make him feel bad for hurting her. It wasn’t his fault she was a fool or dumb enough to fall in love.
Desperate to put some distance between them, she glanced down at her naked form. “Um, do you think you could whip me up a pair of blue jeans and a T-shirt?”
“Of course.”
Instantly she was dressed. “Is it all right if I go see the baby Threeos?”
“They’d love it. Threeo’s probably down there with them.” Kerrigan offered her a half- smile. “Are you sure you’re okay, Meeka?”
She tried to smile back. “I’m fine.” She leaned over to place a kiss on his cheek, and then got up. “I’ll never regret anything we’ve ever done or shared. I’ve loved most of my time here in your world. I will always love you, Kerrigan, whether I’m in Enchantment, on Earth, or any other world.”
The tears finally escaped as she turned and walked out the door.
* * * *
Kerrigan was stunned, not believing what she had just said.
She loves me. Nobody loves me…except Todd, Paddy, and perhaps Threeo.
He stood up in a daze. His heart was heavier than it ever had been.
How will I go on without her?
Chapter Twenty-Seven
Meeka raced out the door as fast as her feet would carry her. She’d said it. She loved him. She loved him more than anything. Even knowing she loved him hadn’t changed his mind.
She winced at the memory of the stunned look on his face. Up and down the stairs, she ran through his mansion. She stopped outside the door where the baby Threeos were kept and turned the knob.
The cries started instantly. “Uppy, Meeka, uppy, uppy.” The shrill of little voices carried throughout the halls.
She couldn’t help smiling. She had known they’d cheer her up.
Their size and shape had changed in just couple days. They were no longer distinct hippos, dogs, and burrowing owls. They had begun their morph into miniature Threeos. Each individual box became a flurry of jumping, all of them rallying for her attention.
Meeka looked around for Threeo. In the far corner of the room, he sat perched on yet another fireplace mantel. It seemed to be his favorite place in any room.
A large smile lit her face as she spotted him. “There you are, Threeo. I was worried you wouldn’t be here.”
Threeo stretched out his front feet, stuck his butt in the air, and wagged his tail. “These babies take so much time,” he bellowed over the raucous noise in the room.
“Can I pick them up?”
“I’d be glad if you would; maybe then they’ll be quiet.” he exclaimed.
It was all the encouragement Meeka needed. The individual boxes were alive with excitement, but Meeka raised her hand in a halting sign.
The room went silent. She spoke. “I wish I could take you all home with me, but I know it’s not possible. So our visits will have to be extra-special. If you can promise to be on your very best behavior—each and every one of you—I’ll let you all out together.”
The chirping and chattering went wild. Threeo looked at Meeka with horror. Meeka quashed his fear as she raised her hand once more and silence again filled the room. Threeo cocked his head to the side, unable to understand why she had so much power over them.
“Threeo, I’m like the good aunt. It’s the same way in the uh…Upper World. Kids love their aunts and grandmas.”
She continued to speak to the babies. “Okay, here’s the deal. Everyone must behave when I open the doors. Single file. I want all of you to wait over there on the floor where the blanket is. Does everyone understand?”
Unanimously, they chirped their agreement.
She opened the door to the hatchery, and one by one, each of the babies did exactly as she instructed. “Great job, guys.”
She reached down and grabbed some of the balls and pull toys, placing them on the edge of the blanket. Then, gently, so as not to spill all the water onto the floor, she pulled the large, round container full of water over closer to the blanket. It was a swimming pool for the babies.
They were so excited. Their developing bodies seemed to excite them as much as being out of the nest. The littlest Threeo kept looking over his backside at the fluffy tail he now had. Narrowing his eyes, he tried desperately to grab hold of it with his beak. Round and round he went.
Meeka burst out laughing.
She settled onto the blanket, and within seconds, became overrun with chirping and laughing baby Threeos. Some of them pulled at her hair, while others were squawking and growling at the socks on her feet. This was just the therapy required to help ease the deep sorrow in her heart.
Sadness was starting to creep its
way back into her soul when one of the babies perched on top of the hatchery and shouted, “Look at me, Meeka.”
As if in slow motion, the baby leapt off the ledge in a cannon ball pose and landed with a giant splash in the pool. Water sloshed everywhere. Meeka was drenched. The other babies were speechless, and Threeo was already trying to dry his feathers. Water dripped off everything. Meeka broke out in hysterical laughter, rolling around on the blanket as all the babies joined in. Soon, each of them was doing cannon balls. It was almost as fun as funny-fishing. Finally, one at a time, the babies began to yawn.
She clapped her hands to get their attention. “Okay, you little munchkins, it’s time for your nap. Everyone, single file back into your boxes, please.”
Chatters of unhappiness rang out through the room.
“Come on, guys. You know the deal. We’ve had lots of fun, haven’t we?”
They all chattered, “yes,” and made their way back into the hatchery boxes. Meeka gently lifted the little one, who was already asleep on the blanket. Carefully, she placed a kiss on his feathery head and laid him in his box.
With the door to the hatchery closed and locked, Meeka looked around at the mess she now needed to clean up. “Threeo, thanks for letting me play with them,” she said, picking up balls and other toys and placing them in a box.
“It’s apparent they like you a great deal. They never listen to me the way they listen to you.”
Meeka casually continued what she was doing, but changed the subject. “Threeo, can you tell me about your vision?”
Threeo’s pointed ears flattened to his head, and his eyes narrowed. “Meeka, I’m sure Kerrigan has told you enough about my vision.”
“Not really. I’d rather hear it from you. Please, Threeo, I’m trying to understand what I could be up against.”
Threeo sighed. “The Enforcer won’t be too happy with me for telling you my vision. He doesn’t believe in them.”
“Well, if it seems to be as bad as everyone believes, then I hope he is right,” she responded. “Sometimes, though, it pays to listen, even if it hurts to do it.”
