  Vacation?

  Hey Baby,

I was thinking that I haven’t used any of my vacation time yet. Let’s go away together. Some place warm and tropical like a five-star resort. How about the Bahamas?

  My love,

That is the most brilliant idea in the world. Let’s do it!!!!! And, I’m def in favor of the Bahamas. All I want is a beach and an oversized chair in the sand that I can lounge in with you while nibbling on your ear and drinking a fruity cocktail with an umbrella in it. That sounds like a dream. When shall we DO this?!!! May is out since your folks are coming to visit mid-month. I’d say June, but that’s my birthday month and Netty and Brookey are coming up for my birthday weekend. July, we’ve got 4th of July … that could be a possibility. August? September? Let’s SO do this. Now, I’m hooked on the idea, we’re DOING it!!!!!

I’m going to start looking at resorts online NOW.

  The Parentals

  My Love,

Is there anything we need to do in advance for the arrival of your parents? (Yes, I’m mad with nerves admittedly, and I really want to make a good impression.) They’re here Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and then they leave Monday late afternoon, right? So, we should plan for two dinners, one lunch, and one brunch (you know, I’m anal). I was thinking La Rez for dinner on Friday. Saturday? Steak house? Obviously, South City Kitchen on Sunday for some good Southern breakfast. Should I book tickets at the aquarium? Movie? Play? Symphony? Can you tell me everything about your parents tonight so I am prepared? Everything. I want to know everything about them. If you could write it out for me, that’d be great, too. Then I can memorize it. I may also create an Excel spreadsheet (NOT kidding). Did I say I really want them to like me?!!!

We need to discuss your folks tonight. I need to know more information about what they want to do while they’re here. Grrrr. I’m serious about this. It’s really important to me that they enjoy their stay (and that I make a good impression). Let’s discuss tonight. I’m even willing to cook meatloaf for you (gasp) to procure this highly sensitive and valuable information.

Or … I could always withhold sex until you give me what I want. ;-)

If so, I hope you gave me credit for coming up with those ideas!!!!! Did they like the aquarium? Did they have fun at the play? Did they think we were cute together? Were they OK with how affectionate we were (you told me they were cool with us being lovey-dovey)? What else?

What did they say about ME??????

  Birthdays and Such Things

So, I was thinking about your question last night about my birthday. I’m already getting everything I want: a night with you and my closest friends. But, since you persist on more details, let’s do a group dinner at La Rez, followed by (what else?) karaoke. That sounds perfect. Should I organize?
