“Jesus, I love your dirty mouth, Lala. You are making me crazy.”
I never knew I had it in me, but if it pleased my man, I’d keep doing it with pleasure. I closed my eyes and went for the kill. “Fuck me, baby.”
“Layla, God!” he cried as he slammed into me, his eyes squeezed shut.
I tried to suppress the whimper as he went in deep. I knew it would hurt, but I never imagined it feel so perfect giving my virginity to the man I cared for so much.
“Baby? Oh fuck, Layla.” His eyes flew open and stared into mine as he realized what just happened.
“Don’t stop. Please don’t stop.”
His fingers laced with mine at the sides of my head.
“Are you okay?” he whispered at my ear. His concern was adorable, but I wanted him to finish what we started. I wanted Grayson to cum inside me.
“Yes. Fuck me, please.”
His mouth closed over mine in a tender kiss as he thrusted in and out of me. I lay still, soaking up every second of how he felt inside me until he exploded and finally stilled on top of me.
He pulled out of me and leaned on his elbows, staring into my eyes. “You are amazing.”
“So are you.”
He was pretty drunk when he came to my room. Tomorrow when he sobered up and realized what we’d done, he’d probably have a heart attack.
Nothing would change how I felt. It hit me like a bolt of lightning.
I love Grayson Forbes.
I love him with every fiber of my being. Tears of love and joy trickled down the sides of my face and onto my pillow.
Now, in this one precious moment, he was mine. These memories would have to last a lifetime.
We only had this one night.
My heart filled with love and pain, mixing together like a lethal cocktail that would eventually kill me, and yet, given a choice, I’d do it all over again.
After having this, no man can ever compare. I’d always have this night.
I never wanted to forget a single detail.
It was bittersweet. Just as I discovered the man of my dreams, the man I loved and wanted me too, I found out that we could never be together. It shredded my heart to pieces.
Grayson leaned in and licked up the droplets spilling from my eyes.
“Baby, please don’t cry. I’m so sorry . . . I thought you—”
“Nothing happened with Seth. I told him no. He dropped me home shortly after that.”
“Then why did you let me . . . God, Layla, I was a selfish prick. I wanted to mark you, to erase any other man. I couldn’t stand the thought of anyone else—”
I placed my hands on either side of his face and kissed the tip of his nose. “You were the first, Grayson.” Not that I’m sorry.
“Shit, if I’d known, I wouldn’t have taken advantage of you. I would have taken it slower.”
“I wanted it. I wanted you. It was perfect.”
“You’re right. It was.” With the back of his hand, he slowly traced the outline of my face and down my chest to circle a nipple. My thighs clenched as heat built up between my legs again. “Perfection is you, Layla.”
He pushed the hair back from my face and stared into my eyes; what I saw there took my breath away.
“I only want what’s best for you. And it's not another man.”
My breathy voice was hardly above a whisper. “Yeah?”
“Yeah. It's me, sweet Layla. I’m the man for you.”
