Melabeth the Vampire

Carrie gave me a hug, and then she said. "Don’t worry about it; he'll forgive you, and, if he doesn’t, it's because he’s a stupid boy, and, most important, it's not your fault."
"If you say so," for not being my fault, I sure feel guilty.
Carrie looked over at the bed where David was, then asked. "How's David holding on?"
"I don’t really know. He really hasn’t said much, and I couldn’t blame him, you know, if he blamed me."
A tear ran down my cheek; Carrie wiped it away.
"Look sweetie, I don’t pretend to know how others feel, but I know David, and he will not blame all this on you. He knew what he got involved with; in fact, I bet he blames himself about Lizzie."
"You're wrong." David said this with a deep hurt voice. He was sitting up in bed; I hadn't even realized he had awakened. That shows how tired and out of it I was. David went on by saying, "I don’t blame myself; I don’t blame Melabeth… I blame The Order."
Carrie ran over, jumped through the air and gave David a big hug. "I am so sorry honey; I can't believe this has happened. Is there anything I can do for you?" David shook his head no. "What do we do now?"
David looked at her with hate in his eyes. Carrie couldn’t help but shrink away.
The look wasn’t for her, and then he said. "What do we DO?… what do we do?… I know... how about we hunt down all the bastards who raped Melabeth, and, while we're at it, why don’t we hunt down and kill Order members. Let's burn The Order to the ground." David turned his eyes on me. "What do you say, Melabeth?"
"Yes, David; that sounds good to me."
As I looked into David's eyes, I saw: hate, hurt, pain, suffering, and, revenge. I now know that we now have the same heart.
And together we shall fill our hearts, with blood.
