"Cami–" I dropped onto my couch and downed my drink, before pouring me another. I didn't know what Camia was gonna do regarding our marriage; I just hoped she could forgive me, because I loved her and my sons more than anything. Just the thought of having to tell my sons about Kendrew made me feel sick. I downed my fourth cup of Hennessey before I heard a knock on my office door.

  "Come in!" I yelled.

"Sup," Kendrew said as he walked into my office.

"Son, how are you?" I asked, pouring another drink.

"I’m aight. You know Deija and Kameko, of course," he said, pointing to his girlfriend and daughter. I stood up to hug Deija, and planted a kiss on Kameko's cheek.

"Can you give us a moment? You can relax in the theatre room. Hannah, our housekeeper, will provide you with anything you need, show you where bathrooms are, or anything else, okay?" I told Deija.

"Sure Mr. King. Thank you," Deija smiled, and carried Kameko out. Deija reminded me a lot of Nic.

Where is Camia?" Kendrew asked once they left my office.

"Well Camia didn't take the news too well, so she is upstairs in the bedroom," I chuckled out of sadness.

"Oh, aight," he replied somberly, walking to the couch.

"Has nothing to do with you, Drew, it's about my choices in life. I should've told her as soon as Yumi got pregnant," I said, sipping my drink. "Want some?" I turned to look at him.

"Sure Pops," he replied, reaching for the glass.

"I was thinking about bringing you on board to run the operation, what do you think?" I asked him, standing up and lighting my cigar.

"Shit, that would be great. I've always wanted to work with my family," he responded, sipping his drink.

"Yeah, and you should’ve been this whole time, but I was a coward. Anyhow, I want you to work with your brothers. As a matter of fact, they should be here any minute so that I can introduce you," I tried to make it sound like a happy occasion, although it was everything but.

Just as I said that, I heard my sons laughing and nearing my office. My heartbeat sped up, and my palms became sweaty. I had no idea how they would respond to this shit, but I hoped it wouldn't go over too bad. I heard a knock at the door, and took a deep breath.

"Come in!" I finally said with my stomach in knots.

"Sup Pops," Kendrick said, coming in first. The latter part of his sentence trailed off when he saw Kendrew sitting on the couch to my right.

"Hey son, sit down. All of you take a seat, please," I responded, standing up. They all sat down by each other on the couch across from me, leaving Kendrew to sit alone. This was already a bad sign. "Boys, this is Kendrew–"

"The fuck?!" Kendrick shot up off the couch in anger.

"What is wrong with you?" I yelled to him. He must've been out of his mind cutting me off like that.

"Kendrew? You better not be about to tell me what I think you telling me!" Kendrick yelled. I made sure all my son's names started with Ken, because it meant handsome, so I think he caught on once I told them Kendrew's name.

"Let him finish man," Kendreeis chimed in, and turned his attention back to me. Kendrick sat back down and glared at me, clenching his jaw.

Kendrew was looking at Kendrick like he was crazy. I was so surprised, because Kendrick was always the levelheaded one, and Kendreeis was usually the one with the outbursts and obscene behavior–then again, Kendrick was the smartest, and I had a feeling he already knew what was going on.

"Okay, so this is Kendrew. Your uhm, brother," I finally said.

"What?" They all said in unison. They frowned as they sized him up.

"How is he our brother?!" Kendreeis yelled, matching Kendrick's previous glare.

"I had a relationship with his mother, during the very early years of Camia and I's marriage," I responded. "Before you were born, Dreeis," I added, hoping it sounded a bit better.

"Nice to meet y'all," Kendrew finally spoke up.

Right after he did, Kendreeis hopped up out of his seat and left before I could stop him. I knew this situation wasn't gonna turn out good, but I was not ready for any of this.

"Well, I want you guys to get to know each other because he is family, and because he will be joining the operation."

"Joining the operation? How do we even know he can do this shit?!" Kendrick yelled.

"What? Nigga you don't know what the fuck I can do!" Kendrew yelled back.

"I wasn't talking to you. And keep in mind, he don't run this shit no more, I do!" Kendrick yelled to him.

"Alright, stop it y'all!" I exhaled heavily. "Kendon, how do you feel about this? You haven't said anything?" I asked my youngest.

"I don’t know man," he said, rubbing his hand over his face and avoiding eye contact with me. He hopped up and left my office a couple seconds after.

"This some straight up bullshit! You knew about him this whole time and said nothing! Where is my mother?!" Kendrick yelled to me.

"Lower your damn tone! She is upstairs right now. Kendrew will be joining this got damn operation, and if you don't like it right now, you better start to soon. This is not a discussion nor debate. You gon’ help him out if he doesn't know something, just as you would with Dreeis or Kendon. You can be mad at me, but you won't be rude and disrespectful to him. This is not his fault, Kendrick! Now do you have anything else to say?" I yelled sternly.

"Meet me tomorrow at my condo by 4 p.m. My dad will give you my address," he said, standing up and leaving.

A smile crept across my face. That is exactly why I made Kendrick the boss of this shit. He had the most brainpower, and was the smartest person I knew. People tried to give me hell when I said I was passing my cartel down to my 18-year-old son at the time, but they didn't understand. At 18, Kendrick had the business mind and smarts of a 40-year-old man. He was logical, strong, and he showed respect when it was owed. If Kendrick could accept this, I know he could convince the others to. I couldn't wait to see my four boys working together.

I exhaled heavily, "Now let’s go have lunch with Deija and Kameko," I told Kendrew, smiling.

  Chapter Three: Kendrew King

After lunch at my fathers, Deija, Kameko, and I headed home. I smiled thinking about how I was about to be making big dough, and couldn't wait to up my lifestyle while being out here in Baltimore. Pops said if Kendrick was with me joining, then I didn't need to worry about what the others thought, because he could convince them.

I was born and raised in Memphis. It was just my mom and I, for the most of it. She showed me pictures of my father and I during my early years whenever I would ask about him. He would visit maybe once a year, but that wasn't shit in my book. I hated that my mother and I had to basically stay a secret, so that he could keep his other family. Shit, we were his damn family too! I’m his first-born, and that's why I decided to move here!

Anyhow, my mother was a phenomenal mom, and I never wanted for anything while living with her. Naturally, I started running the streets and dealing drugs to keep a steady income. My mom gave me a lot of tips, because she used to work for my dad when she lived in Baltimore. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer, nothing really mattered to me anymore. I started to just not give a fuck about anything, including my relationship with Deija.

I met Deija back in Memphis a little over four years ago. I used to see her walking to school everyday, and she was gorgeous. I knew she was a good girl, and she knew I was a thug, so I knew it'd be harder to convince her to give up those digits. She finally did one day, and it was like a whirlwind romance. We spent every day together, and for the first time in my life, a girl had my nose wide open.

Next thing you know, she was pregnant with my princess Kameko, and I couldn't have been happier. My mom didn't want me to lose my partial Japanese culture, so we named my daughter Kameko in her honor. When my mom got sick, I started sleeping with all kinds of hoes, and right in Deija's face. I would hear her crying herself to sleep at night, but I didn't care enough to console her. Unless my mom got cured, she w
ould have to keep crying 24/7. I loved Deija more than anything, but I had damaged her so much that I didn't even know if we could repair anything. I looked over at her as we pulled into the parking structure of our apartment. I couldn’t wait to move out this raggedy shit.

"You good babe?" I asked her, putting the car in park.

She shook her head yes, and then exited the car. She opened the back door, and took Kameko out of her car seat. This was the shit I hated; she was always being short with me, and acting all sad and shit. Only way she would be all alive and fun is if we had company, and that irritated me. I missed the old Deija; the fun, positive ray of sunshine that I fell in love with. I didn't like this damaged, somber version that she had been lately. We entered the house, and she laid Kameko in her bed since she was already knocked out.

"Why you so quiet babe?" I asked her when she walked into the bedroom.

"Nothing to say," she replied, taking her shoes off.

"What did you think of my father's house? Fresh right?" I joked, attempting to get something out of her depressed ass.

"Yeah, it was beautiful," she replied, not bothering to look at me. I exhaled and walked over to her, where she was now sitting on the bed.

"Deija, baby can you talk to me? I wanted us to have a new start, babe. Tell me what's wrong. Please. I'm begging you, and I'm trying to do right by you, ma," I pleaded, kneeling down in front of her.

Tears started to stream her face. "My birthday was two days ago, Drew," she said, looking down into my eyes.

"Fuck babe. I am so sorry. There is no excuse for me forgetting. Damnit!" I said, standing up and running my hands over my face. I was always fucking up, and the shit was getting frustrating. I needed to get my shit together before I lost her. "I will take you to dinner tomorrow after my meeting, is that cool?" I offered, hoping she agreed.

"Okay," she shook her head and smiled. Seeing her smile was a rarity these days, so I savored the moment whenever it happened. I loved my baby so fucking much, and I was just not being the guy that she deserved; but I was gonna be.

"Cool," I said, wiping her tears and planting a kiss on her soft lips. I pulled her dress over her head and removed my shirt. I put her on her back in the middle of the bed, and climbed on top of her. I removed her bra as I kissed her hard and passionately. I started to trail kisses down from her neck, to her supple breasts. I sucked and devoured her nipples hard, making her moan.

"Ahhhh," she moaned, arching her back.

I kissed down her sexy body, until I reached her pussy and removed her panties. The scent made my dick hard, and I started to plant kisses along the slit. I pushed her legs back a bit, and went in for the kill. I slowly sucked on her clit while fingering her. I started to suck harder, and finger her faster, making her cry out. She arched her back and came all over my mouth. I licked her clean and removed my boxers. I played with her wet box with the head of my dick, making us both moan. I finally entered her, and she was so tight and wet. She hadn't let me touch her since we had come to Baltimore four months ago.

"I missed this ma," I said softly while stroking her. I meant every word. The pussy I’d been getting while she was holding out didn’t hold a candle to her shit.

"Me too Drew," she moaned, biting my bottom lip.

I started to kiss her hard, and pump into her faster. My baby had the best shit I ever felt, and I was the only one who knew about it. She was a virgin when I met her, but not for long.

"Whose pussy is it, Deija?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

"Yours Drew!" she moaned loud, cumming all over my dick.

I sped up my pace, until I finally exploded all in her. I leaned down closer to her, and tongued her down hard. "I love you babe, and I promise I'm gon’ do better, okay?"

She shook her head yes and kissed me again. I just hoped I could keep my promise. Baltimore had a whole new fresh catch of bitches, and I was hoping I could stay away.

  Chapter Three: Kendrick King

I was headed to my father's with Nic and KJ in tow, to meet up with Kendrew and my brothers. I really didn't want to bring my family, but my dad wanted Nic and KJ to meet Kendrew's girl and daughter. I just hoped this nigga knew what it was. He needed to know I ran this shit, and not my damn father.

We pulled up to my parent’s house, and I parked my car in his underground parking garage. My parent’s house had to be worth something in the triple millions; this shit was crazy. We exited the car and headed inside. I handed KJ to Nic once we spotted Kendon, Dreeis, Kayden, and the girls. Since Kendrew hadn't arrived yet, I was gon’ go check on my mother.

"Hey Ma," I said, walking into the gym room.

She stopped the treadmill and smiled at me. "Hey baby," she wiped her forehead and hugged me. "How are you feeling?" she asked, holding my face.

"I'm okay, but what about you?" I asked, frowning.

She exhaled and sat down on the little bench in the room. "I'm just in shock, I guess. I thought your father was one person, but I am seeing that he is someone else. Does that make sense?" she attempted to smile, but I could tell she was in pain.

"Yeah, yeah. I get it," I said, walking over and sitting next to her. "Do you know his mother?" I asked boldly.

She looked at me and smirked. "Yeah, she worked for your father when he and Kylin ran things. She was always around, and I asked him what they were multiple times. And every time, his lying ass told me it wasn't what I knew it was," she shook her head, and chuckled. "I'm sorry for cursing, honeys" she said, kissing my cheek.

"Nah it’s okay, ma. You're upset, which you should be," I cleared my throat, "So are you leaving?"

"I don't know. Maybe I will, maybe I won’t. I'm not in a position to make decisions right now, because my emotions have taken over. I want to make a decision with a clear mind. But what I do know is that your father and I are not sleeping in the same bed at this time!"

"Ugh Ma. TMI," I said chuckling, and so did she.

"How you think you got here?" she asked, smiling with her hands on her hips.

"A stork I hope," I replied, making us both laugh.

"Hey Ma. K. Dot, everybody is here," Kendon peeked his head in to say.

"Aight, here I come," I said. "Well, I'll see you later Ma," I stood up to hug and kiss her. I walked into my dad's office.

"Where are the girls?" I asked, sitting down.

"In the theatre," Dreeis answered me.

"Cool. So Kendrew, if you want to be apart of what we got going on here, there are some rules, and following these rules is not optional. Everything we do is to protect what we running, and our lives of course," I started.

"I don't really do too well with structure," Kendrew spat and chuckled.

"Well then this ain't for you," I spat back. I found nothing funny.

"So what you say just goes in this bitch?" he laughed, as if to say he couldn't believe this.

"Yep. My way or the muthafucking highway, nigga. If that's a problem, speak now or suck it the fuck up," I frowned, and he pursed his lips.

"Calm down, Kendrick," my father chimed in.

I ignored my father, and continued to explain how we worked shit in our operation. This nigga was gon’ be a problem, I could already tell. Like he said, he seemed to have a problem following rules, and that shit was not gon’ fly in anything I was running. We became successful due to us having structure and strict rules in running this shit smoothly. I didn't feel like he was my brother yet, so I would not blink twice if I had to kill his ass.

I decided to have him work with Kendon, because with the workload being split amongst three, I had to take on my shit and part of my brothers'. With him here, we could split it evenly over the four. That includes, meetings, connects, money and shipment re-counts, and anything else my brothers and I did. I wasn't letting him off that easy, though; I was gon’ keep a close eye on his annoying ass.

  Chapter Three: Kendreeis King

I headed home from that meeting with Kendrew, and my mind was racing. The though
t of my father cheating on my mother made me sick to my stomach. Not only did he cheat, he got the bitch pregnant. I knew I shouldn't be mad at Kendrew, but it was hard not to be. I also didn't like how he was acting like our shit was a joke. He is only getting entry because my damn father won’t have it any other way, but otherwise he didn't fit the criteria.

I decided to stop and get something to eat from a fast food spot. I text Morgan to see if she wanted anything, and she hadn't responded yet, which was odd. She always responded to me right away. I tried calling her and got no answer either. I decided to speed home, because I was worried about her. The whole way there, I was trying to think if anybody could've found out where I lived and found her. All kinds of crazy shit was running around my brain.

I finally got home, and when I opened the front door, I heard my son crying loud as fuck. Morgan's car was in the garage, so I immediately knew someone had kidnapped her. I ran up the stairs two at a time to my son’s room. I picked him up and went to our bedroom, where I was surprised to see Morgan sleep on the bed. I quickly left back out to feed, bathe, and change my son. I put him in his swing, and went back into the room to light into Morgan.

"Wake yo ass up!" I yelled lightly, pushing her.

"Wha- what Kendreeis?" she said, sitting up and looking around the room.

"You didn’t hear Kaleeini crying?" I spat.

"No, I must've fell asleep. Fuck my paper! I need to type the last page!" she said, frantically hopping out the bed.

"Morgan, what the hell is wrong with you. Calm down!" I yelled to her, as she opened her laptop back up. She ran her fingers through her long hair, and flung open the drawer of the nightstand next to our bed. She retrieved some pills, and emptied two in her hand.

  "Fuck! I'm out!" she spat.

"Out of what? What is that?" I snatched it from her. "What are you taking this shit for?" I turned my attention from the bottle back to her.

"It's for my stress and shit! Give me the bottle, Dreeis, I need to have my doctor give me a refill!" she yelled, hopping off the bed. I couldn't believe she was acting like a fiend for this medicine shit.
