  Chapter Twenty-One

  1

The sun was out and there was slight breeze throughout the cemetery. There was a decent size crowd that had shown up at Ashley Dolton’s funeral. All of Trevor’s and Ashley’s mom’s families were there.

Trevor and Ashley’s mom didn’t talk. She had tried to keep him from helping with the funeral arrangements. They had done nothing but argue.

Trevor had blamed her for not watching Ashley better. It set off a chain of arguments. Neither side was willing to back down.

Terry had stayed close to Trevor. She was trying to make sure that he had everything that he needed. It was hard to do since Trevor wanted nothing to do with anyone.

A lady from Terry’s church had sung Amazing Grace. The preacher had said his last words. People gave their condolences.

The dark robed man was close by. He was thrilled to see the pain in everyone’s eyes. He would bring them more pain in the time to come. This would only be the start of Trevor’s pain.

After the funeral Trevor took off by. He didn’t tell anyone where he was going. He had not been acting right since he had gotten the phone call a few days ago

Trevor had been walking around town. He didn’t know what to do. He wanted to kill himself.

There were thoughts of going home. He didn’t want to deal with Terry. She would be all over him trying to make him feel better.

He would just keep on walking. Sooner or later, he would go home. He felt like the devil had come into his life.
