Ruthless (Dark MC Romance)
Page 21
“No!” he screamed in my face. “You do not get to leave me.”
Wetness dropped on my face and my eyes opened. Tears clung to his eyelashes and dropped, mingling with mine. I could barely focus on his face anymore. That’s right. He loves me. Stay awake.
My body lifted into the air and for a moment I thought I really was dead, but then it rolled forward.
Stay awake.

The stale air burned my nostrils. Lips were like sandpaper. I groped through the artificial drowsiness, numbed and dumbed. I fought my way to the surface like the bottom of a pool, kicking and kicking until finally I was able to open my eyes to an unfamiliar, white ceiling.
Sound returned, finally reaching my ears as if through a long tunnel. It was busy, wherever I was. People in white moved past my bed. I moved my head and there was tightness on my neck. I felt plastic tape there and my hands jerked. A tube protruded from my hand, feeding me something from a bag.
“Hey.”
The familiar voice turned my head. Lying on a bed next to me was a heavily bandaged Spike. He groaned as he shifted himself so that his legs draped over the bed.
A nurse came running, and rolled her eyes when she realized it was Spike. “Sir, we’ve told you many times. You must rest. You have two gunshot wounds.”
“Bite me. I’m going to sit next to my old lady and you won’t stop me. I won’t rip my stitches out.”
He called me his old lady.
My neck twinged when I smiled and in response, Spike’s dimples flashed on his face. He gripped the nurse’s arm and hopped the green chair beside my bed.
“Aaah!” he sighed as he sank into the chair. “Thanks.”
The nurse shook her head and walked away. As soon as she left, Spike took my hand.
“Is this a dream?” His fingers brushed the skin of my hand lightly and I sucked in breath.
He chuckled at that. “I’m pretty sure it’s not. Everything’s okay, Julia. We’ll be out of here soon.”
All of it hit me then—Cain’s torture, Spike getting shot, Cain’s death. I was weary of it all. “And then what?”
He squeezed my hand.
“They wanted me to take over, but I told them to fuck off. The chapter showed up, finally. More than anything, I want to leave this town. There’s nothing left here for me anymore. Nothing except bad memories.” He gave me a hopeful glance. “I’m hoping that you’ll come with me, after we’ve both healed.”
“There’s nothing for me here, either.”

Long hours on the bike made my ass numb, but with my arms around Spike’s waist, I didn’t care. We zipped through canyons and climbed mountains, exploring parts of the world I had never seen. For so long, my life was confined to Victoria and Los Angeles. Now, I was finally out, playing pool and hustling with the man I loved.
The wind whipped my hair, even though I tucked it deep into my jacket. The strands flew wildly around my face. My frozen hands stretched over his stomach and I rubbed his abdomen, trying to warm them.
It turned out the Dragons had chapters all over the place, even in quiet, woodsy areas like the one we were driving through. As a Nomad, Spike could go anywhere he wanted.
Spike yelled something over the wind. “Cold?”
I leaned forward. “A little.”
“We’re almost there!”
A few miles of tall pines led us to a lodge resort bordered by trees. I sighed gratefully as he turned inside to park and moaned when he cut the engine. My ass felt like a rock.
Spike placed his helmet on his bike and wound his arm around my waist. It felt so good not to have to care about who was watching. As I thought about it, I turned in his arms and I hooked my hands around his neck and pulled him closer. He kissed me. His mouth was dry from the wind but hot, pulling at me as my fingers twisted in his hair. When we broke apart, Spike beamed.
“What’s got into you?”
We were still in the parking lot and I giggled as a couple stared at us. My hand splayed over his chest and slid down until I found the waistband of his jeans. I tugged on his belt. “I want you.”
He licked his lips. “It’s hard to concentrate on the road when I can feel your tits against my back.”
Smiling, I took his hand in mind and placed it over my breast. He slid it down, his face red and his head shaking with a smile.
“Let’s get inside before I fuck you in this parking lot.”
His hand curled around my waist possessively as we entered the lobby and asked for a room. It was quite upscale for a middle-of-nowhere lodge. A huge, stone fireplace roared, surrounded by chairs. I saw a bar in the distance and could almost make out green felt.
The receptionist handed Spike the keycards and he tugged me down the hall, to our room, his hand squeezing my waist.
I slid Spike’s leather jacket from his shoulders, kissing him as it slid down his arms. He slammed the door shut and smiled against my lips.
Finally, we were alone.
“Julia.”
I loved the way he sighed my name, as if he couldn’t get enough of me. I could never get enough of him. His eyes fluttered in the semi-darkness. I felt his dimples with my thumb and stroked his hair. Every night my hands roved over his body as if it was the first time. I couldn’t believe he belonged me—I belonged to him. What had I done to deserve him? Just being around him and hearing his voice everyday was a thrill I never experienced.
I kissed the base of his throat, massaging his shoulder muscles with my hands. I was careful around his left shoulder. The shooting was months ago, but it was still sore.
Maybe it’s not supposed to heal.
My own wounds still smarted, but Spike took care to distract me whenever he sensed that I was down. He was wonderful like that.
My knees landed with a small thump on the carpet. Facing his waist, I looked up and smiled at him as I undid his belt, the sound of it whipping through the straps made my core clench together. More than anything, I wanted to taste him. I pulled his jeans down slowly, fondling the warm bump protruding from his black briefs. I laid my cheek against his thigh and kissed the star-shaped gunshot wound that was still pink. Then I reached up and pulled his briefs down his shapely legs. His thick cock already glistened with precum.
“Fuck.”
His fist curled in my hair as my mouth engulfed his cock. He was warm and musky. I teased his length with my tongue, clamped down my lips and sucked hard. The dark sac swung in my face and I massaged it, enjoying his moaning and the sounds I made when I sucked him.
My control over him didn’t last long. With a fistful of my hair, he rutted my mouth, his hips pulsing to his own tempo. I widened my lips and took him in deep, my lips kissing the base of his cock.
He made a sound when he shoved himself to the hilt and I shifted on the floor, my breasts and core growing hot with need. He pulled out of my mouth and I kissed his head.
The hand curled in my hair jerked and I followed the pull of my hair into his arms. He kissed my swollen lips, tasting himself as his tongue dipped in my mouth.
“Take off your fucking clothes.”
I smiled at the growl in my ear. Sometimes he got like this and it always turned me on. The jacket made a loud sound as it dropped on the floor, quickly followed by my shirt and bra. I helped Spike remove his shirt, anxious to feel the warmth of his body against mine.
“Damn,” he said huskily as he slid his hands up my arms. “Don’t think I’ll ever get used to this.”
They moved over the swell of my tits, squeezing slightly before one hand reached down to undo my pants. I stepped out of my jeans as he yanked me towards the bed. Scooping me in his arms, he tossed me over the comforter, his body following me over.
His eyes were intense as he hovered over me, his mask sliding off to reveal the darkness inside him that made him join the Dragons MC. I knew that he wasn’t looking for a sweet fuck. He pulled my panties down my legs and forced them on his shoulders. Without wai
ting, he thrust inside me, making me gasp in a high voice. My legs rested over his shoulders as he ruthlessly hammered my pussy, pounding and pounding. His hands moved from my shoulders to my throat, holding it lightly, making me lightheaded.
My body shook with every thrust as if they were blows. Every thrust was painful and deep, but somehow it ramped up my excitement even more. His hands groped my tits and I yanked the hair on his head. I was like a live wire under him, humming with electricity and ready to explode.
My back arched into his chest as I felt my pussy clench around him. Every plunge brought me closer and closer, heightening the pleasure, the sensitivity of my flesh, everything. Spike’s hips slammed into me as his mouth covered mine, silencing my moans. Then I felt him filling me up inside, his lips kissing and biting my neck at the same time. His cock jumped inside me and his thrusts slowed down as he filled me with himself.
Spike gave me a brief, satisfied smile as he let my legs slide from his shoulders. He lay next to me, curling an arm around my back to pull me into his chest. He kissed the top of my head, his chest still heaving. Still riding my orgasm, I nuzzled into his neck and kiss him.
“Do you think it’ll always be like this?” I asked him.
He smirked. “God, I hope so. Why? You plan on sticking around for a while?”
I playfully punched his side.
“Spike,” I admonished. “I’ve told you so many times. I love you.”
“I know, babe. There’s no way I’m letting you go.”
He rolled over slightly to give me another kiss, one that’s so soft and tender it made me want to go again. He loves me, I thought, still getting used to that phrase.
“I saw a pool table when we walked in, I think.”
Without looking at his face, I could hear the grin in his voice.
“You want to?”
“Yeah.”
He sighed in an admiring, weary way. “You’re going to get us blacklisted from every bar.”
I giggled, thinking of the man who threatened to withhold my winnings at the bar the night before when I won a game, fair and square. He called me a bitch, and then Spike took him outside and beat his ass, even forcing him to apologize “to the lovely lady.”
“You love it.”
He gave me a shrug as he smiled, acknowledging that. “Yeah, maybe. Or maybe I just love the girl and I’d do anything for her.”
I smiled in the dark. That was good enough for me.
