“Yes, Father,” replied Elena, forcing the words.
Her father took her by the hand and smiled at her. “Now, my dear, I’d like you to learn from all that has happened, especially from Dimov’s mistakes.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Good. Now I’d like to ask one more favor from you.”
Elena forced herself not to show any emotion. “I’ll do whatever you say, Father.”
“I knew you would.”
“What is it you want me to do?”
“If a single man can bring down someone as powerful as David Houston, then I believe him to be a threat to not only to our family, but the entire organization.”
“Yes, Father, I agree.”
