Who is Shara Marst? (The Pireia files.)

- Detective ... You are not going to send any patrol and you are going to continue taking your soup - an exasperation answered her from the other side, but the sound of the spoon in the dish indicated to Shara that Lowe was obeying -. Now you must relax and give Karla up. She has already lost a son and she received a lot of punishment. She came to ask me for forgiveness.
- And you let her in? - Lowe replied, incredulous -. What if she came to hurt you?
- It's very nice that you worry about me - Shara said, addressing him for the first time in an unformal way -. But Karla is not a danger for anyone right now. She has been destroyed. She just came in to say goodbye, she is leaving Pireia.
- Well, we should send someone for ...
- No, Lowe, let her go. The case is closed.
- But...
- You have Neil's testimony, you have Col's confession. What more do you want?
- My boss...
- I know, your boss is angry because you let me go.
You had to let go the great leader Marst - said Shara, exaggerating the voice.
- What are you going to do? - Lowe asked.
- Now? Maybe I’ll make myself dinner.
- No, with the organization.
- Is this an official interrogation, detective? – She said laughing.
- No, it’s not.
- Well, in that case, I can tell you that I'm going to create some order.
- Aren’t you going to leave it be? Do you know how dangerous ...?
- I will not escape my inheritance, no - Shara had suddenly become serious -. Nor the tavern, although the truth is that I need a new waiter.
- Oh really?
- Interested?
- Shara, as an inspector I will have to monitor all your movements and make sure that no crimes are committed in this city.
- Crime? What is that?
- I'm serious, Shara. If I am forced to arrest you in the future ...
Shara heard the voice of the nurse in the background:
- Are you done with the soup, inspector? Hurry up, we do not have all night!
- Take the soup, Lowe - repeated Shara -, and stop worrying about me. I have always taken care of myself.
- I do not want you ... - Lowe could be heard talking with difficulty while trying to swallow the soup in a hurry - you to get into ... trouble ...
- Thanks for the advice. Now know that, I'll call tomorrow.
She got a grunt as an answer from the other side in response. Shara shrugged and hung up the receiver. She got up and turned off the lights in the living room, then headed for the kitchen.
That was when she heard taps on the back door, but barely audible. Carefully, she tiptoed to the kitchen and stuck her ear to the door. At her feet, a letter was pushed under the door. The last push hurling it far out. Shara took it up. It was a perfumed envelope with golden edges and no sender.
Carefully, she took off the flap that closed it and took out a piece of paper that matched the envelope. She unfolded it quickly and saw a word written in large cursive letters: Welcome.
Puzzled, she turned the paper, looking for something else on the other side, but it was blank. She went back to the door and quickly opened it, looking for the messenger.
There was no one on the other side, only the darkness of the mountain. She closed the door again and locked the security bolt. Who had sent this? She thought, trying to imagine who could do something like that. Shaking her head, she walked away from the door, wrinkling the piece of paper in her hand: it had just begun.
