Synopsis:
I’ve been Jaxon Donovan since the day I was born, obviously. My road name, Snatch, came years later due to my ability to literally snatch up any woman I set my sights on. I’ve always been a connoisseur of the opposite sex. Tall, short, thin, thick and juicy, my tastes knew no limitations.
I didn’t think there was a limitation to my sexuality, and I found out just how true that actually was the night my best friend took it upon himself to take me in his mouth. Sure, there’d been close calls before, the slip of a hand or misplaced lips. With our propensity to share women, it’s bound to happen. That fateful night, I was met with pure intention and an experience I never want to forget.
How do you explain to your friends, your brother’s in arms, that your extremely active sexuality has led you to your best friend’s doorstep? How do you admit, after twenty-six years of heterosexuality, that you’re into something else?
I’ll soon find out that what happens in the dark will always come to light.

Note to Readers
First, let me start by apologizing for the unfortunate name choices. Snatch: I’ll be honest. I LOVE the name, and it fits him to a T, but I had no idea the direction these characters would take me, so the unfortunate part is Itchy’s name. Even to me, Itchy Snatch is pretty cringe-worthy. But, it is what it is, and there’s no going back at this point!
Also, this story runs parallel to all of the other books in the series, starting when Darby was rescued from the SINdicate brothel. This means a lot of the things that happens herein, have happened from other’s points of view. You’ll get the guys’ POV and a ton extra stuff!!
I hope you enjoy!
Prologue
Snatch
Blackness surrounds me when the power to the building we’re infiltrating is cut. Somehow tipped off, the insurgents knew we were coming and prepared in advance. Back to the nearest wall, I’m so pissed I want to kick my own ass. Both Itchy and Kincaid urged me to wear night vision, but I waved them off. The green tint, even with the infrared gives me a headache that lasts for days. Besides, we’ve been watching this place for almost a week, and it has always been lit up like the fucking Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center.
“I’m blind,” I whisper yell into my mic.
“Fucking told you,” Itchy taunts. “Just stay against the wall, pretty boy. Let the men handle this sh—”
His word is cut off the exact moment gunfire echoes around us. I crouch low to the ground tucking my chin to my chest, so my Kevlar helmet is facing the action, making myself as small as possible, and hold. I’m no use to them, having to wait until the dust settles before I can move without risking getting my head blown off.
The sound of bullets hitting the concrete walls as well as small explosions to my left reverberate off the walls. The guys communicate through their mics on where the threats are and systematically take each one out. I know I’m going to catch shit over this once they’re done, and Kincaid will never let me opt out of the night vision headset again.
The same sense of calm I always feel in these situations is with me even without being able to see what’s going on. The only difference is the guilt I feel because I know that they’re taking care of the combatants as well as making sure I don’t get a bullet in my melon since I’m practically a sitting duck. It leaves them distracted; Itchy especially.
I shake my head, refusing to run the last two years through my head, refusing to let my own stubbornness take hold while in the middle of deadly combat.
I don’t initially freak out when I hear Kincaid come over the mic. “Itchy’s been hit.”
We sometimes take a shot to the chest, that’s why we wear the best Kevlar money can buy. It isn’t until Shadow yells out that my blood runs cold.
“Right leg!” Shadow screams. “He’s down, Snatch. Eight meters up and six to your left. I’ll cover you, but you have to go now.”
Without thought, without consideration of my own safety, I crawl toward him. I slip and nearly face plant when I get within a foot. I realize immediately when I pull my hand from the wetness that it’s covered in blood. My best friend is fucking bleeding out, and I’m blind, wrapped in a darkness that grows more ominous with each passing second.
“Stay with me,” I beg. “I got you.”
I run my hand up his right leg, looking for the wound. Finding the tear in his cammies, I shove my finger into the bullet hole. Goddamn it, I think but barely keep the words inside. Inside of his right leg, he’s been hit in the femoral artery. I hate the feel of his pulse as each burst pushes more blood past my finger, and I struggle to keep the injury plugged against the force I’m working with.
“Fuck,” he hisses.
“Sorry, man,” I mutter as I use my free hand to pull my belt off.
It isn’t until it’s wrapped high around his leg and pulled as tight as I can get it that I pull my finger from the bullet hole and reach for his night vision.
“You’re crying,” he whispers, voice already growing weak and ragged from the blood loss.
My eyes flutter closed when his fingers reach up and caress my cheek.
“Don’t get all soft on me now,” I tease as I situate the headset.
I told myself not to react, no matter how bad he looked, but I can’t help the cuss word that slips from my mouth when I look down at his leg. What I had assumed was a small puddle is actually a full on pool of his blood.
“I’m cold,” he says, and I can hear the shiver in his voice.
“Don’t,” I hiss. “Save your energy.”
“I love you,” he whispers. “I’m so sorry I couldn’t be what you needed.”
In the green haze of the goggles, I see his eyes close. I did the same thing when my back was against the wall earlier because it’s easier to zero in on your other senses that way. The pained look on Itchy’s face, however, tells me his eyes are closed due to loss of strength.
“Please,” I beg him. “Stay with me. You’re all I’ll ever need. I love you, too. Please open your eyes.”
They flutter, but he no longer has the strength to obey my order. Before resting my head on his chest, I tug on the belt-turned-tourniquet around his leg and get it a quarter inch tighter. His breaths are shallow and intermittent, and his pulse is thready.
“I love you. I love you.” I chant over and over. I confess the words for the first time out loud with each compression of his chest.
I’m repeating it still when I feel someone’s hand on my shoulders. I’m still saying it when the lights are turned on, and I’m staring down at the ashen gray body of my best friend, lover, and the greatest man I’ll ever know.
Chapter 1
Itchy
Two Years Prior
“Get a load of this fucker,” I say angling my head closer to Snatch as Kid walks into the room.
“Whose fucking jalopy is that out front?” he asks as he walks in.
I look over at my best friend to find him smiling in the youngest member’s direction. Kid is in running gear, soaked through from one of the runs he’s been taking more often recently.
“Sad asshole,” Snatch mutters with a laugh. “I bet his nuts are so blue they’re purple by now.”
Kid used to fuck anything that walks, but after saving Khloe from a prescription pill overdose a little while back, she’s all he seems to see now. The problem is that pretty little girl is only seventeen, and he’s doing his best to keep his horny hands to himself until her birthday.
I grin, trying to mask the irritation at my best friend. I’d give anything to only focus on the one person I can picture spending the rest of my life with. The only problem with my obsession is he’s sitting beside me and as straight as they come.
The overhead light glints off of the small stud that’s centered in the tattooed star on his cheek, and I lose my ability to stay mad. It’s how it’s always been. I can’t get mad at him for not returning my feelings, especially since I’d never even hint at them out loud.
I can’t tell him and expect my heterosexual best friend to just suddenly be attracted to men, myself in particular. My sexuality is more fluid than anyone else in the clubhouse. I haven’t tried to get with any of the men here, but then again Snatch is the only one I’ve found myself even picturing getting on my knees for. I haven’t been with a man since high school, and even then it was more childlike petting, fumbling to fuck than actually getting anywhere.
Snatch laughs again, and I look up to find Kid glaring at us with his middle finger turned up in our direction. We tease him about Khloe not to really piss him off, but to agitate him a little. From the look on his face right now, I
fully comprehend that he’s in no mood to be fucked with. The glare in his eyes actually makes it seem like he’s reached his breaking point, which concerns me because we’re all well aware of just how wild Kid can be. For Khloe’s sake, I hope it works out in their favor, and he doesn’t fuck it all up.
I didn’t catch what Shadow said to him, but I’m certain it was a jab. We’re all assholes, and given the opportunity to do the same to us, Kid would be all over that shit.
The meeting begins, and Bryan, our guest and old friend, lays out his dilemma. A girl he knows was abducted from Florida, and after speaking with her father, she’s being held in Vegas. This should be a pretty simple recon and extraction. Having known Bryan from when Blade was in Walter Reed years ago, Shadow assures him we’ll do everything in our power to get her back.
I can’t help but cackle when Kid argues about going to Vegas and continues to bitch as he leaves the room.
“He’s afraid he’ll fuck a hooker,” I mutter as we watch him leave the room like a petulant child who has had his favorite toy taken away.
“He better not,” Snatch says in Khloe’s defense. “But, maybe it’s best she finds out how he is now before she goes all in and gets fucked over.”
“People can change, asshole. Kid has already proven he can forgo the other women in the club.” Snatch’s doubt filled blue eyes meet mine. “Seriously. He turned down Snapper the other night. When was the last time he’s done something like that?”
Kincaid waves at us as we stand, letting us know that we need to stick around. Shadow follows Bryan out of the room, presumably to show him where he can rack up for the night.
My grin falters when Kincaid turns in our direction. “You guys are driving Kid crazy.”
Snatch points at me like an eight-year-old, rather than the twenty-seven-year-old he actually is. “He started it.”
Rolling his eyes, Kincaid takes a seat at the head of the table. Hanging his head into his open palms, he grumbles, “I have a house full of fucking children.”
“Khloe is the only child here,” I correct, earning me a slap on the arm from Snatch.
