“I’m going to go dance. You guys coming?”

“Nah. You put us to shame, Mr. Salsa King.” Charlie likes to give me shit about taking salsa lessons.

“Okay, you guys hold up the bar.”

I walk through the crowd until I reach Monica. She looks amazing tonight with her hair piled up on her head in a messy bun. She isn’t one for much makeup, but her face glows all the same with some pink in her cheeks from dancing and a touch of lip gloss, just enough to make me want to lick it off of her. A simple black dress hugs her curves, her hips sway and roll with the music, and I need to touch her.

I sidle up behind her, just like I did that first night. She leans her head back and melts into me. Wrapping my arms around her, my hands settle on her abdomen. I might be obsessed with touching her here. Her arms land on top of mine and she laces our fingers together as we move to the music, our bodies in sync. I run my nose down her face and say into her ear, “Hey beautiful, you ready to get out of here?” All of a sudden, I need to take her home and be alone with her.

She nods and I catch her yawn.

We say our goodbyes and head out of the club.

“I’m sorry I didn’t last as long as I thought I would,” she apologizes with another yawn. She really is tired. My proposal will have to wait at least until tomorrow.

“It’s okay. I was anxious to be alone with you anyway. Did you know you’re pregnant?” My mind is still blown by this fact.

She laughs. “Yes, Max. I know.”

We get home, change, and get into bed. We face each other, lying on our sides.

“You ready for this?” she asks me seriously.

I think of everything there is to come. Hopefully a wedding. A baby. Midnight feedings and dirty diapers. A little girl with Monica’s curly locks, or a little boy with my blue eyes. Drawing on the driveway with sidewalk chalk.

I’m going to have a family with this amazing woman.

  “I can’t wait.”

  The End

If you’ve made it this far, thank you so much for taking a chance on a new author and reading my book! I hope Max and Monica’s story entertained you.

Publishing a book independently is anything but independent, and I was so lucky to have the support of some amazing people behind me.

First of all, thank you to my husband. Between juggling a full-time job and two kids, my best time to write is at night. Thank you for understanding when I stay up to write past bedtime. Thank you for critiquing cover choices and listening to me talk endlessly about book-related things. Thank you for being there for me when I need you.

Thank you to my beta readers. Kara, you were the very first person who laid eyes on this story. When I asked you if it was garbage, you encouraged me to keep going. I’m not sure I would have been brave enough to continue writing without your initial positive feedback. Thank you for your support! Desirae, you are an amazing beta! Thank you for taking the time to give me such valuable feedback. Your patience, encouragement, and (most of all) friendship mean the world to me. Christy, my amazing co-blogger, your positivity is so valuable. Thank you (and Reanell) for putting up with all of my endless questions and giving me your advice. Bex and Pavlina, I really appreciate you taking the time to read my words and for letting me know I was on the right track.

Kim, Suzanne & Saffron, my fellow green indies! I’m SO glad I found you ladies. Your support, tips, wisdom, and friendship mean the world to me. From beta reading my book and sharing your books with me to comparing resources and pushing me to meet my goals, I thank you. I’m in awe of your talent. In becoming authors together, we became friends, and I’ll treasure your friendship forever.

Thank you to all the bloggers that helped to promote this book. You are rock stars!! I know there are so many amazing authors and wonderful books out there. Thank you for taking a chance on an unknown author and blogging about my book. To those of you that signed up for an ARC and reviewed my book, thank you so much!

Serena McDonald, thank you so much for reading my book and sharing your excitement for Untouchable with other readers! You were the first reader to fan-girl over Max and I will never forget all of your messages! Thank you for all of your help!

Najla Qamber, thank you for being so patient with me during the cover making process. You were amazing to work with and you never once let on that I was driving you crazy (even though I know I probably was). Everyone judges a book by its cover and I’m grateful to have such a wonderful representation of Max and Monica.

Caitlin with Editing by C. Marie, I’m so grateful for all of your wonderful edits. This is my very first book, so I know it was a big job for you. That being said, I was afraid that working with an editor might change the tone of my story. But it was as if you were able to see exactly what I wanted to say, and you helped me say it in a much more grammatically correct, polished way. Thank you for working with me on my first project.

Bex at editing.ninja, thank you so much for proofreading! I’m so excited for your new business venture. You were a valuable part of making my story shine.

Angela at That Formatting Lady, thank you for formatting my book. Formatting is like a foreign language to me. I’m so glad you were able to help me with this project.

The beautiful teasers wouldn’t have been possible without Najla Qamber, Indiesage, and Michelle New – thank you for rescuing me from stock image hell!!!

I’m so grateful to everyone that helped me with this book!!

Isabel Love is a hopeless romantic. She loves reading about two people falling in love, overcoming whatever obstacles they may face, and finding their happily ever after. A husband, two kids, and a full-time job keep her busy by day, but by night, she can be found with her Kindle in hand, reading “just one more chapter.”

Isabel writes romance. The next book in the Unexpected Love series is a standalone romance about Charlie and Quinn. Unconventional is expected to release in the summer of 2017.

  Quinn

“Where are you going so fast?” He wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me into his side.

“Why aren’t you back there with Miss Double D?” I ask him. He barks out a laugh at my name for her.

“Maybe they were triple D. Did you see those tits?” He groans and looks to the ceiling with a tortured smile.

  I did see those tits.

I saw him touch them. And lick them.

And I saw her lick them.

And I watched him make her come.

Holy fuck. I’m such a voyeur. It was like witnessing real live porn, right in front of my eyes.

“Don’t you want to take her home and fuck her?” I ask him. Why did he leave her back there?

“What about you? Where is your boy toy for the night?” He smirks at me and pulls me to a stop near the restrooms.

“He had to go.” I shrug. “I was just stopping at the bathroom on my way out when I…” I trail off.

“When you decided to watch me in action,” he finishes for me.

I laugh. That pretty much sums it up.

“I’m glad you did; I loved your eyes on me. Come home with me tonight.”

I stop and turn to look at him. His blue eyes are full of lust, desire and naughty intentions. God, what those eyes do to me.

When I don’t answer right away, he flashes me his panty dropping grin, showing me his dimples and teeth, like a hungry wolf. “Co
me on, Red,” he pleads using his nickname for me. “My cock is as hard as a rock right now and I know you got all hot and bothered back there watching us. Let’s go give each other some orgasms.”

I stare into this handsome face and give in to what he wants because I want it just as much.

  “Okay, let’s.”

“I’m going to go to the bathroom real quick. Meet me right here in 5 minutes.” He leans down into my ear and says, “Do not get yourself off in the bathroom. I know you’re about two seconds away from coming, but that orgasm is mine.”

“You’re so bossy,” I complain. How did he know I was going to try to get some relief in the bathroom?

  “You like me bossy.”

  I do.

Reining in my foolish fantasy, I notice Erin is still in her trance. “That’s Samson Beaulieu?” I ask, stating the obvious. “Wow, forget the food. My appetite is quenched just by the view,” I quip with a sip of my wine and another appreciative glance at his outstanding side profile.

“Oh, my God, I have to meet him,” Erin declares, shifting back into woman on a mission mode.

“What?” Sin and I simultaneously ask.

Oblivious to our question, Erin wipes her mouth with her napkin and then reaches for her purse. “You can’t go over there. That’s just stalkerish and gauche,” I state.

Applying her lipstick and running her fingers through her hair, she acts like I’m not even there. Sin chimes in, “Erin, let the man work. We can admire him from afar.”

Several women have left their tables—husbands, partners, and dates be damned. They are lining up around the kitchen counter and I grumble at the human barrier blocking our view.

The hostess approaches the mob of women, directing them to stand at the order window. Damn. That’s why they designed it like that. It’s not for table orders; it’s for the gaggles of women ogling and attempting to harass the chef.

“Shit,” Erin mutters, a hard glint in her eye at what I’m sure she’s seeing as her competition. “Let’s wait ‘til it dies down.”

Sin and I nod in agreement and dive back into our divine meals. No surprise, the line-up of women neither dwindles nor dies. No sooner do a few women go back to their tables than new ones join. It’s quite amusing to observe some of them shamelessly flirting and lingering well after the chef has returned to his work.

At one point, the hostess interrupts the mob to talk to the chef. Entering the kitchen, she turns her back to the diners, and his face is front and center. Wow. The room gasps in appreciation at the sight.

During their conversation, his gaze wanders from the entrance to the far corner and then in the direction of our table. His eyes fleetingly click with mine. It’s only a second, maybe two, yet the intensity has me squirming in my seat and preparing to shy away. He beats me to it and moves on.

My gaze remains stuck on him. A mere second later, his roving eyes stop and swing back to me. Our gazes lock. My breath hitches, palms clammy. All noise, movement, even the air dims and slows as I notice that he’s noticed me. His subtle grin widens to a bright smile complete with two panty-melting dimples.
