  Travel In The Zones

  Some game zones require a player to use in zone transport to travel the distances involved, such as carts, trade caravans or coaches. In the Mars zone players use space taxis and mobile hotels. Large areas use ships, for which you are awake and playing, fighting off pirates, making friends and killing enemies. Or maybe you are the pirate?

  Using players own feet or vehicles a player can cover the size of the Beta version Earth 2027 game zone fairly quickly, because of the zone’s initial small size. Once the Full game is launched we will install the full accessible zone patch, opening the whole of the post WWIII world to players. Transport between the areas can be dependent on starting area. Some areas are plane transport, others are train rides, and a few journeys are boat links only.

  The Greece 350 BC Zone requires players to travel long distances by horse. When travelling these distances, a player can choose to take their sleep rather than waste time sat on a smelly equine.

  The Mars Zone, players travel the extra long distances on hotel sleeper trains. The game allows no weapons on these trains, so sleep and sex are all you can do, or is it?

  The Proxima Centauri Space Galaxy Zone requires vast distances to be covered in cryogenic chambers. Even though you are travelling in huge city-sized spaceships, distance still needs to be covered.

  Warnings

  Every single game zone is a flexible sandbox. For those who are new to this type of VR gaming that means PvP players or clans can and do prey on the weak.

  The best a player can do is join a clan, they will help you on some of the larger quests the system generates. Provide you with companionship and party players, in some more challenging zones.

  Game Requirements

  Welcome to the guide for Forsaken, the largest VRMMORPG game ever.

  To play Forsaken you will need a type 2 POD, a contract with Amazomart. Their service drones will install sustainability supplies every four weeks. Giving a player enough nutrients and fluids for over forty-three thousand hours of game play, if you played non-stop without any breaks.

  A similar contract needs to be taken out with Servoclean. Their employees/robots, visit in sync with the Amazomart drones, emptying the waste products generated in a players POD every four weeks

  Forsaken Greece 337 BC

  An excerpt from the second book.

  Toni went over to Cain after she cleared the system message from her HUD. "My friend tells me we have a problem, but a they have a ready-made solution for us," Toni said.

  "According to my best guess, we could be asleep for anything up to three-quarters of a day or more. I have an idea, but don't want to share it," Cain said

  "I think you are going to message the group it is easier. I'll message first, while you go comfort Bright, as she may not know about group messages," said Toni. Cain went over to Daphne and sat on the edge of the bed and put his arm around her while Toni sat on the other side.

 
  Happily, as we know she survived, sadly she is still in a hospital POD. When they removed the spike, they left behind some tiny slivers of metal, deemed too dangerous to remove. Daphne needs to have another operation under a renown neurologist. We can supply that, but we need you to tell us to go ahead, Daphne. T>

 

 

 

  They all agreed that having AIs would be beneficial, not only playing but in their lives after.

  "OK, we all need to get ready for sleep. Let us assume the system will be down for six or more normal hours. We get our allocations activated. Once we wake we can search for a way down this mountain," Cain said. After Cain finished talking they all get ready for bed, they found the clothes from the wooden storage chest, made comfortable sleeping attire.

  Cain laid down in the middle with Toni on his right shoulder. Sophie laid on Cain's left shoulder, his arm resting on her breast, Sophie's left arm snaked across Cain's chest, holding Toni's right hand. Daphne and Lesley laid facing each other, Lesley's left hand was inside the folds of Daphne's top, squeezing her right breast and tweaking the nipple. Bethany spooned up against Sophie, her hand resting on Sophie's vagina.

  Chapter Two

  Awake

  {Cain, Cain, can you hear me? John is in the safe house and brought what you asked him for. He is connecting yours first, then Toni's. You will soon be awake, back in the real world, my friend,} Enoch told Cain. Awakened by the mind shouting with a splitting headache, Cain believed it was though somebody was trying to stir his brains using a wooden spoon. Grabbing the side of the POD he raised himself into a normal sitting position. The last traces of the nanogel were running down his legs, his normal looking legs. Feeling with his fingers on his thigh he could not feel the join of his artificial legs.

  Ah, at least the person stirring my brain seems to have stopped. We will soon have Toni out. Cain turned as the lid on Toni's POD hissed open as John was inputting information on the control panel.

  "Thank you, John. I'm pleased what I thought of worked, we will not have long. Enoch tells me we will have around fifteen hours to get Daphne from her POD to our safe house here in London," Cain said to John. Climbing out of his POD, Cain walked over to Toni so he could watch her awaken. Standing there he watched as the nanogel ran down her body, uncovering her firm and full breasts. Toni's eyes snapped open then she quickly closed them, pressing her hands on her head.

  "Shit, who has that jackhammer going off in my skull? Turn the damned thing off," Toni barely gasped.

  "Don't worry it doesn't last long," Cain told Toni. Taking hold of Toni's left-hand Cain told her it would soon pass, it was the consequences of being pulled out of the game. Toni looked at him like he was strange.

  "What do you mean? How come we're out? We only just got to Greece. What have you done Cain?" asked Toni. Helping Toni out of her POD, Cain held her close and gave her a big kiss. Easing her body against Cain's Toni responded by pulling him against her. When the kiss ended, they looked at each other and smiled. They both said I love you, then laughed.

  "So why, how are we out of the game?" Toni asked. Replying, Cain began by saying,

  "I asked Enoch to contact John," Turning around Toni saw John for the first time, "Hi John, thanks for all you have done for us. Let us get a quick shower, and we can have a chat," Toni said, not worried about her state of undress.

  "As I was saying, Enoch contacted John and asked if we could use an EI to mimic our brain functions, hence us standing here now. I wasn't sure it would work, but you know John is a genius, right well, he programmed the EIs getting them to work as I requested.

  The EIs will loop a recording of our brain connections. That will make the game server think we are still alive, still in the game. We have nearly fifteen hours to go find Daphne, bring her here and have a neurosurgeon remove all the little bits of metal still in her brain. They will then remove her neural link, replacing it with one like ours. It is the only way to save her mind so she can prove someone set her up," said Cain.

  Slightly shivering Toni told Cain although her skin wasn't sticky or icky after being covered in the nanogel, she needed a shower to convince her mind she was
clean. Walking hand in hand, they walked from the room where their PODs stood waiting, pretending that it still connected them to the game.

  The shower was already running hot as Toni followed Cain, walking into the shower and washed vigorously. They did not take long although Cain washed Toni's hair spending time massaging her scalp. Those strong fingers that feel sooo good. I could put up with this for the rest of my life. Drying each other, they collapsed on the bed and began kissing and cuddling.

  "So, what do you feel like, master of five women?" Toni asked apprehensively as she looked into Cain's eyes from above. Laughing a little under his breath, Cain replied.

  "I'm no master as well you know. We are all in the fight to find Vince and see if we can free him. He is the one who put the others with us, not my choice, nor yours. Is it?" Cain looked up at the smiling but slightly blushing face of the woman he came to love so deeply. "I told you when I find Vince he will get far more than a piece of my mind. Like you, I would rather it be us two, finding four other women in our lives and bed is not as unpleasant as I thought it could be though."

  Toni hit his shoulder calling him a sexy beast whereas Cain called her a hussy who like the tongue of Bethany too much. Toni blushed at the comment. Cain pulled Toni down onto his chest before rolling them onto their sides, facing each other.

  "I honestly thought someone had destined me for a life alone, what with my legs, wheelchair and occasional PTSD. To find you, a pearl, in all the dross of my former life is beyond compare… Would you like to make love first? After we can go see what John, Enoch and Rahab have planned for us, then we will leave to go rescue Daphne," Cain said, his words cut off from the kiss Toni began.

  Running her hand across the firmness of his back downwards, so she could grab a good handful of Cain's cute arse.   They discussed with Enoch and Rahab, sharing the occasional words out loud on how they could rescue Daphne. John entered the kitchen and pulled up a chair.

  "So, C, this is your woman? The balance you so needed." John said. Toni looked at Cain then John. "I can see the question in your face, the answer is easy. Cain here was so lost, all those killings fighting so people could live comfortable, normal lives. They came with a price, one that needed balancing.

  I can tell from how he talks about you, is around you. That you are his balance. The part which eases his demons, bringing calm to his soul. I never would have thought C, would have found such a beautiful and loving woman. Does that answer your question?" John asked.

  Hospital Transport Planning

  Toni was surprised for John not only answered her first question, but one she had not really been thinking about, anyway. True she wanted to know how Cain carried all those deaths he arranged and killed while keeping the country and people safe. To find out from John she was both the balance Cain needed to keep sane and the loving woman he so desperately needed changed how Toni thought.

  John's answers made Toni realise just how much Cain needed and wanted her. She reciprocated his feelings; she was sure Cain knew how much she loved him. Listening to Enoch as John spoke to Toni, Cain realised it was still, if only for another twenty minutes; Sunday the twenty-third of September 2035. We have done so much in the game in such a little amount of time. People will love that aspect of playing. Just one hour giving them ten hours of game interaction.

  Sitting around the table, drinking coffee they agreed on the only way to save Daphne was to get Enoch, Rahab and John to hack both the correctional institute and hospital's computer networks. Cain worked with Toni using the dark web to arrange for the movement of Daphne's POD. John double checked the EI they would leave in the hospital's POD. Making people believe Daphne was still there.

  "The first of the PODs we bought for the other members of your team, someone can pick it up from another safe house. Well, more like a safe storage unit," John said. "If you arrange for the transport to have a portable power supply, so the POD can be active almost instantly," John continued. Listening to John, Toni selected the company that could provide an old, manual driven hover lorry, less than five minutes from the safe storage unit.

  Cain, using some of his previous contacts arranged for a cargo transport jet. Flying from the old City airport, landing at an old airfield, left over from the Cold War, at Deelen.

  "Don't you think it's rather handy?" Toni asked of Cain. "The old airfield is less than six miles from the correctional institute. Rahab told me the institute is rather new. It is nearly all automated, not having many physical bodies securing the inmates."

  "Where is the institute? I've never been there," asked Cain. "I've visited the old WWII battle sites in the Netherlands, especially those from Operation Market Garden."

  "The institute was built on the old Sonsbeek park. It is the largest institute in the Netherlands, holding over nine thousand inmates. Or so Rahab just told me," laughed Toni. Vehicle transport was selected and paid, using the military charity as a front, for this operation. Cain would drive the hover truck as Toni had never seen such an old model. Once they finalised the aircraft flight details, they would only have a two-hour window after they landed.

  "Just to
be clear before Toni and I leave here. Once we get to the institute, we have around an hour to pick up, move Daphne's POD to the hospital in Nijmegen. We will leave the false body in the institute's POD after we transfer Daphne to our POD. The EI will be connected to their POD, while we bring Daphne back home, here," Cain said.

  John wished them a safe journey, telling them he would have a gaming POD, similar to theirs, up and running for when they return. Happy with the planning, Cain took Toni to the armoury, selecting some weapons for them. Cain took his favourite XM8b and a suppressed Glock. Toni picked a similar Glock, a suppressed MP5 and three throwing knives. Cain also picked up a large Bowie style combat knife.

  "I know you were the law, doing everything by the book. We don't have the luxury of that here. Jason could have some of the same mercenaries he used back at your apartment. If he does, they have to die, no exceptions they die. We can't leave any alive. This is all about saving Daphne and putting her out of Jason's reach," Cain told Toni as they were driven, in an unmarked vehicle to the safe storage.

  Once they arrived, parking inside the large factory complex Toni erased the travel log. Telling Cain, it was just an old habit, which could protect their main safe house. Back at the safe house, John was working on the new POD while listening to some classical music.

  "John can you hear us?" said two distinct voices at the same time.

  "Yes, Enoch and Rahab, I can hear you. What can I do for you?" John replied. Sharing the talking, speaking every other word Enoch and Rahab said.
