A Happy Accident

  “It will be a busy season,” Darcy said as he settled Elizabeth before him on his horse for the ride back to Longbourn.

  “Why so?” Elizabeth asked between kisses. Darcy smiled.

  “Because Bingley arrives tomorrow too. And I know he has every intention of seeing Jane.”

  Elizabeth thought her heart might explode with joy. She beamed at her future husband.

  “And I suppose you had something to do with that too?”

  “I had several wrongs to correct.”

  Elizabeth sighed and pressed her face against his chest.

  “And now we will correct the greatest one of all when we marry.”

  Darcy pressed a finger under her chin to tilt her face up. His eyes shone with joy.

  “That is the one I am most keen to correct.”

  And when he kissed her, Elizabeth knew with a certainty that there was nothing else to come between them.
