Altered Chords Page 8

“I think you’re beautiful,” he said, grinding his erection between her legs.

The heat between her thighs was hotter than a tin roof baking in the sun, and he was ready to get burned. He didn’t care she only wanted his cock. A weekend romance would be better than nothing. Even if he wanted more, it wasn’t possible. Classy women like Bria didn’t date losers like him.

She kissed his scar. The permanent reminder of the damage love caused. Luckily, this wasn’t about love. She sucked on his ear and he pressed harder between her open legs. Her tiny mewling noises made him harder than granite. He’d waited longer than he should have because one thrust inside her tight, wet walls and he’d blow. She deserved better.

“I want you, Tyson. I want to feel you inside me,” she whispered.

As much as he wanted to pound into her that second, he searched for something better, more private. The last thing he wanted was to be interrupted again. “You have no idea how badly I want that,” he growled.

A dense cluster of trees a few feet away would provide the perfect canopy. He lifted her, gripping the naked round globes of her ass. His fingers dug into her flesh as he carried her through the trees until he couldn’t see the clearing or the other hikers. Once they were hidden among the trees, he pressed her against one and kissed her hard as he tore open his shorts.

“Do you have a condom in your purse? I’m clean, but if you’d rather I use one that’s fine.” It wasn’t ideal. Not when his cock was already sliding through her wet crease.

“Just do it without. I’m on the pill.” Her arms tightened around his neck and she kissed him.

His tongue invaded her mouth. He didn’t wait for her to change her mind as he lined up and pushed in. His eyes rolled back in his head as the slickness of her arousal coated him, helping him slide in fast and hard. He slammed all the way to the root, then moved his hips to push deeper. With her legs around his pelvis, she opened and accepted every inch.

They kissed, and he made love to her against a tree on top of the mountain. Their hips moved together, creating a fast and steady pace. He held back the urge to release after the initial thrust. She didn’t make holding off easy with her tight walls and throaty sounds, but he wouldn’t let go without her.

The crushing of leaves under his feet, the scratching of her back against the bark, and their heavy breaths were all he could hear. He kept his mouth on hers to minimize the noise. Even if someone approached, he couldn’t stop. He was too close. She was nearly there if her trembling legs provided any indication. Tyson pumped in and out faster until he felt her squeeze and shudder around him. Her orgasm splashed liquid gold all over his cock and he exploded along with her.

He should have pulled out, but he couldn’t. He stayed buried deep inside Bria until every drop of cum released. It was reckless and stupid. Women lied all the time about being on the pill. Karen lied. But Bria wasn’t Karen, and he wanted to trust her.

“You can put me down, any time?” She tapped his shoulder and giggled.

He had no idea how long they’d been standing there as one, but he suspected too long. “Sorry, I got lost in the moment there.” Tyson set her down and his softening cock slipped from her heat. He tucked it back in his shorts and tied them up.

Bria adjusted her dress, making sure it covered her ass again. “Feel free to lose yourself like that again any time you want. Though, I think we should wait until later. I’m not sure I’ll be able to walk down the mountain as it is.”

“Did I hurt you? Fuck. I didn’t mean to—”

She covered his lips with her finger. “You didn’t hurt me. Not counting last night, it’s been a while since my last sexual… well. You’re not exactly a small man. So, I might walk bowlegged for a while.”

He pulled her in for a hug and kissed the top of her head. “Let’s go enjoy the view of town for a few more minutes. Then we can go as fast or as slow as you want down the mountain. Deal?”

“If we make it back to the room within the next few hours, your friends might still be sleeping when we get there. That will give us a chance to fool around in a bed. Don’t get me wrong, these public settings have added to the experience, but I’d like to get you naked and lick all these muscles. Suck—”

“Fucking hell. Woman, please give my cock a moment to stay soft. It’s been hard since we met. If you keep talking like that, I’ll be running down a mountain with you on my back. Is that what you want?”

Her giggle was sweeter than a spring rain. He could listen to it nonstop. They held hands and walked out of the trees with their heads held high. At the first sight of others, Bria lowered her chin, avoiding eye contact. More hikers surrounded them, and Tyson got several dirty looks. He was used to it.

He hugged Bria close as they perched on the side of a rock overlooking the national park. The sight was really something, so was she. He took a deep breath and coughed. After sex was the perfect time for a smoke. He dug into his pocket and pulled out his vaporizer.

“You smoke?” Her eyes widened, watching him. “I… didn’t realize.”

Based on her tone, he’d guess she wasn’t a fan. He held the device between his teeth but didn’t light it. “Does it bother you?”

“Maybe. It’s not healthy and I’m not sure I’ll enjoy kissing an ashtray.” She chewed her lip and his cock stirred. “Why do you smoke?”

Tyson didn’t need the smoke as much as he needed her lips. “I don’t smoke cigarettes, but I like the vaporizer. When things get intense, it helps me clear my head.”

“Am I too intense?” She arched one of her perfectly manicured eyebrows and he smiled.

“Intensely satisfying.” He slipped the vape back in his pocket. “Immensely sexy.” He slid her body under him and kissed her lips. She tasted like the sweet tea she’d had at breakfast. Everything about this woman was sweet. Her lips, her tongue, her breasts. He squeezed her breast over her dress and someone cleared their throat next to them.

“Inappropriate,” someone muttered and shuffled away.

Bria sat up and laughed. “Let’s go. I want to get even more inappropriate with you,” she said loud enough for prying ears.

The trip down the mountain took no time compared to up, and they were pulling up to her hotel within an hour. As predicted, the guys were sleeping. The hotel was posh and way out of his price point. Even a regular room would put someone out a few hundred. Her suite had three bedrooms off a large living area. A full modern kitchen and dining room filled the space. Daryl was passed out and snoring on one of the three cream-colored leather couches. The sound bounced off the walls and echoed through the large room.

“Nice digs.” Tyson wiped the sweat off the back of his neck and followed Bria into the empty bedroom. He was glad the guys had listened and left them a room. A shower would be heaven after their hike. “I should wash up?”

She closed the door and pushed him against the wall. “Take off your clothes. It’s my turn to taste you.” Bria tugged his shirt, and he helped her pull it off. Her hands explored his chest as he tossed the muscle shirt towards the bed. Her eyes sparkled, and she licked her lips. She kissed her way down his torso, running her tongue around his nipple and biting the tip.

His body stiffened, and his stomach flexed as she raked her nails over his skin before undoing his shorts. Her mouth continued sampling his salty flesh as his shorts dropped to the ground. He kicked them away, giving her full access. Her fingers molded around his cock, making him groan. She squeezed and pumped along his shaft. Her eyes looked up at him and he’d never seen anything sexier.

“What do you like?” Her trail of kisses went lower.

Everything she did felt fan-fucking-tastic. He wrapped her ponytail around his fist as she lowered onto her knees before him. She painted her lips with the tip of his cock, wetting them with this pre-cum.

“Take me into your mouth.” His balls tightened as she licked across the tip before opening wide. The heat surrounded him, making his desire to thrust nearly im
possible to resist. “Suck hard, firecracker. Fuck, yeah,” he hissed as she hollowed her cheeks and sucked him in.

She gagged slightly when he pushed to the back. He held her there, letting her adjust.

“Keep your lips on my cock and your eyes on me as I fuck your mouth.” He couldn’t hold back. His hips moved on their own, thrusting in and out. Watching her big red lips move over his shaft was perfection. The way she licked and pulled him deeper, pushing him close to the brink of madness in no time.

Her moans vibrated through him, making his toes curl. He’d had plenty of blowjobs, but this was the best. She moved her hand over his balls and pressed on a spot that sent his head crashing against the wall. “Fuck!” He directed her head to take more, and he pumped into her hot, wet mouth. Tyson closed his eyes, waiting for the eruption.

The door opened, crashing against his arm. “We’re busy. Fuck off,” he said, only half registering the new person in the room. It wasn’t one of the guys. His eyes flew open as an unknown man walked in. The man had gray hair and wore jeans and a golf shirt. Tyson stopped moving and he could have cried when she stopped too. “Get out!”

The stranger looked at him then down and saw her on her knees sucking him off. “What the hell. Bria, stop this instant!” His eyebrows furrowed, his nostrils flared, and his fists clenched, but he didn’t come any closer.

Bria’s cheeks turned bright red, and she took her mouth off his cock. “Daddy, what… why are you here? How did you get in?” She stood and covered Tyson’s naked body with her own.

“Who do you think paid for the hotel? Honestly, for a smart girl you’re not acting like it.”

  “Daddy—”

“Your mother and I came to make sure you were okay. Your friends called. They said Klein showed up and that you were acting strange.” His tone was clipped as he grabbed her arm. “You’re coming home. Right now!”

Tyson wasn’t screwed, he was royally fucked. Every time something good happened in his life, something came along to rip it apart. At lease her pops didn’t take a swing at him. Most people he knew settled things with their hands. He should have known this happiness wouldn’t last. Nothing good ever did around him. He needed a smoke. Reaching down, he grabbed his shorts and stepped into them. His hands dug into the pocket as Bria argued with her old man.

“I’m not leaving with you. My car is here and I’m—”

“In danger. You never should have left the house.” He pulled Bria into his arms, hugging her. “You promised you’d stay with your friends at all times. What if… it was foolish to risk this trip,” her father responded in a hushed tone.

Bria exhaled loudly. “It’s not foolish to want to live. I’m sick and tired of being in prison while he roams free. I’m not the one who did anything wrong. It’s not fair. I don’t care what the lawyers say. This is over. My testimony is on record and there’s nothing he can do about it. Daddy, I’m tired of hiding.” Her arms hung loosely by her side.

“Don’t give him any ammunition, Bria, the judge will render his verdict any day. Once this weekend is over, he’ll get what’s coming to him. That’s why you have to come home where we can protect you.”

Tyson listened as the pair talked in circles. He knew it was about Bria’s crazy ex, but he didn’t get why she was in danger. He’d never let anyone hurt her. “I’ll protect her,” he said, letting go of the vape. He’d give up everything to make sure she was okay.

“With all due respect, you have no idea what, or whom, you’re getting involved with. Bria has a knack for choosing unsuitable partners. No offense.”

Tyson laughed. “None taken, because your opinion doesn’t matter.”

Bria stepped away from her father and wrapped her arms around Tyson’s midsection. “Tyson Gilcrest, meet my father, Oliver Rosedale. The CEO of Rosedale Construction.”

He instantly recognized the company. They were the largest firm in the west. Bria’s old man was worth millions. He held out his hand. Money didn’t intimidate him. Rich or poor, everyone put their shorts on one leg at a time. “It’s nice to meet you.”

Oliver shook his hand, which surprised Tyson since he expected to be punched. “Tyson, would you excuse us? My daughter and I have a private matter to discuss.”

Bria nodded, stepping away from him. She sat on the edge of the bed, putting her head in her hands. He’d never seen his firecracker look defeated. He didn’t like it.

“I can stay if you want me to, Bria?”

“You should go. Thanks for today.” She didn’t look at him, which was another bad sign.

Her father held the door open. An older version of Bria sauntered into the room. Only she didn’t have red hair or green sparkles in her eyes. Tyson looked over his shoulder and drank Bria in one more time. He reluctantly left the room, hoping that wasn’t the last time they’d be together.

  CHAPTER ELEVEN

  Bria ♥

T hey didn’t yell, but their disappointment put a damper on her good spirits. She sat on the bed, clutching her knees to her chest. The air-conditioning blasted, freezing her to the bone as she listened to her mother berate her judgment. She was likened to a toddler who didn’t know the difference between hot and cold or the dangers that lurked in the world.

It was difficult to pay attention to the lecture when her mind was on Tyson. Thinking about him was a naughty distraction and the only thing keeping her sane. She should have asked him to stay. She could have used his warmth and smile, but it wouldn’t be fair to subject him to her mother when she was agitated.

Instead of poking the bear, Bria kept her head down and avoided eye contact. It was easier that way. Her father had seen her sucking a man’s cock. After his initial comments, he’d been eerily silent. Her life was a mess. She’d finally found a glimmer of fun, and her family showing up ruined everything.

“He’s shown no remorse and denies all the allegations. The investigators swear he has ties to the Irish mafia. This is so much more involved than a typical Ponzi scheme. This gallivanting has to stop. Are you listening to me?”

Bria wondered when her father would chime in. He had to have an opinion on what he’d seen, but he said nothing. She chanced a look in the corner where he sat motionless, staring off into space. His lips were pressed into a hard line and she could almost see the steam rising from his head. She couldn’t take it anymore. Anything was better than his quiet stare. Then again, what did she expect him to say? At least he hadn’t told her mom. That would have added another hour to her torment.

“We’ve been over these facts a thousand times,” she huffed.

“Then maybe a thousand-and-one will help it sink in. Take his threats seriously and come home. Once the judge issues the extradition order, you’ll be safe. Klein can keep the money, but he can’t have you.” Her mother sat next to her and placed her arm around her shoulder. “A few of the others named in the suit have gone missing.”

“We don’t know whether foul play was involved. All I can say for sure is he wants me to drop everything and pretend he didn’t steal from me or those people. Klein used me. I don’t know if he ever loved me. I’m not stupid enough to take him back. Do you really think so little of me?” She stared into her mother’s gentle, brown eyes. They’d always been a source of comfort and strength, but the disappointment squashed any support, leaving her empty.

“We love you, Bria. We don’t trust him or take these matters lightly,” her father finally spoke, but she refused to look at him. “Klein’s far more dangerous than we imagined. Hiding behind his father, he’s been able to cover up a lot. Way more than we’ve told you. You don’t need to know everything that creep has done. Keeping you home until this blows over is the only choice. After the weekend, the ordeal will be behind us and you can move about as you wish.”

“Once it’s all over, you’ll never again give me access to my accounts. I don’t care about the money, it’s the trust I miss. I made a mistake and trusted the wrong guy. He fooled me and countless other peop
le. I’m sorry I got us caught up in this mess, but I’m not going home with you. I’m staying here with Tyson.”

Saying his name reminded her she wasn’t alone. She had someone in her corner even if it was only for the weekend. Her eyes darted around the room, landing on the alarm clock. She breathed a sigh of relief. There was still an hour before the band planned to leave to set up. The chatter from behind the closed door had died down a while ago. She suspected they were giving her space and trying not to intrude, though she would have welcomed it.

“Who is Tyson?” Her mother stood, putting her hands on her wide hips. “Until you can prove you’re smart enough to—”

“He’s a man I met here. I like him.” Saying those words out loud let them take root. Like could grow into so much more if they had time. A luxury they didn’t have, but she could pretend. In her mind, they had a lifetime to get to know each other. She laughed to herself, thinking it would probably take that long to scratch through the surface.

“Is that the man I saw walking out of your room? The one covered in tattoos.”

“That’s him,” she said with a smile. “He’s so different from Klein or any man I’ve met. We clicked.”

“You did more than click. I saw… That young man isn’t right for you.”

Bria’s cheeks flushed a deep red at her father’s mention of what he’d seen. She hated upsetting her parents. As their only child, she tried not to make them worry. Unfortunately, no one was ever good enough, smart enough, or right for her.

“He is perfect for me because we have fun together, and we make each other smile. Klein never let loose. It was all business meetings and social engagements. At first, they were fun, and I felt like a princess. But they were actually dull and stuffy. Nothing about Tyson is boring. Do you know how long it’s been since I laughed?”

“You’ve known this person for all of two seconds. Oliver, talk some sense into her. She won’t listen to me.” Her mother tossed her arms in the air. “You’re letting a little adventure go to your head.”
