I was currently sandwiched between Jake and Michael, and i didn't think Aries' wolf appreciated that.

"Aries, what are you doing? You need to gain control!" He said to him, lowly, trying to get closer to him, slowly.

Aries growled at him, so Jake backed into me. Michael didn't want me near Jake and pulled me closer to him.

I could feel his freakin packs against my back, while his lower abdomen, was pressed against my butt.

  This was so awkward.

Suddenly, Jake was quiet and Aries' eyes were glazed over.

  They were talking.

As soon as Aries' eyes came back to normal, he stopped his growling, and sprinted out of the garden, on his way to the forest.

I felt relieved, and let out a breath i didn't know i was holding, as i relaxed.

I felt Michael relax behind me, and let out a breath.

  While Jake turned to us.

I pushed myself off of Michael, approached Jake.

"Thank you," i breathed, "What did you say to him?"

"Never mind that, the more important question, is what the hell did you say to him to get him this angry?" He asked, irritably.

I looked down at the ground feeling sort of shameful.

"Hey, don't fucking talk to my Alpha that way, you're beneath her." Michael growled.

Jake quirked an eyebrow at him, as he smirked, amusingly, "You're the annoying Beta, that's causing all this?"

Michael growled lowly, and took menacing steps towards him.

I placed a hand on his chest and shoved him away from Jake, "Enough Michael," i said, lowly.

Michael narrowed his eyes at me, "But-"

"I said enough!" I seethed loudly, feeling fed up and suffocated with all the testosterone.

Michael frowned, and bowed his head while i heard his wolf whimper briefly.

"Wow, you're one tough cookie," mused Jake, while poking my cheek.

Leave it to Jake to pose the playful mood.

I furrowed my eyebrow at him, as an incredulous smile made its way to my lips, "What the hell was that?" I asked him, with a grin.

"Well, you're tougher than i thought," he said with a smirk, "You'll make a great Luna." He added with a smile, as he unexpectedly leaned in and placed a kiss on my cheek.

Michael's growl didn't go by unnoticed, but whatever, i needed to have a talk with him about the way he's acting.

I felt warmth spread through my cheek, as he pulled back, while i watched him back away and out of Aries' property.

Awkward silence consumed us both, but Michael soon broke it, "He's the Beta?"

I nodded as i made my way to a bench by the pond, and took a seat.

I watched as the frogs jumped over lily pads, in and out of the pond.

Michael took a seat beside me, as we both stared at the pond.

After a while, i kept feeling his gaze shift from the pond to me, every once in a while.

I sighed, knowing that i was going to regret ever asking, "What's on your mind?"

  "You."

"That's like, the cheesiest, most cliche thing you've ever said," i stated, as a laugh escaped my lips.

"It's true," he said, with a smile, "Your laugh is the most beautiful thing i've ever heard," he added, i was going to cut him off but he beat me to it, "Just let me say this," he insisted.

I submitted and nodded, as he continued, "You know, that's one of the reasons i don't like Alpha Aries. He doesn't make you laugh, and i like hearing you laugh. You've been different, ever since he came into your life. You're no longer the carefree girl i've known since we were wrapped in baby quilts. I feel like you're carrying this weight on your shoulders. One that you can't shove off. Like it's weighing you down.

"I know, i'm overprotective when it comes to you. The main reason being that, i do truly love you, but the other reason is because, i don't think that anyone in this world, mate or not, will be worthy of you. Even me. I'm not worthy of your love, but one thing i know for sure, is that no matter what the circumstances, if we don't end up being mates, or if we do, i will always try my best to make you laugh, to bring the joy and light into your life. That will always be my life's goal when it comes to you. I just, i know that you may not love me the way i do, but i don't care. I only want you to be happy, Ariel. I mean, if i thought that Aries was good for you, that he made you happy, i would back the fuck off. But he isn't, based on what i've seen up till now. He's angry all the time, he's possessive to a fault that he can't even see what's good for you or not, he treats you like he owns you, he's not passionate, he doesn't treat you kindly, he's rough, and he doesn't understand you." He said with a pause, "If you were to have a mate, other than me, i really hope he loves you unconditionally and treats you like the queen you are." He finished, standing up, while leaning in close to my face.

Tears were already strolling down my cheeks, but nonetheless, he cupped then tenderly, and leaned in, breathing lightly on my lips, as he sealed his words with a soft kiss.

My wolf was temporarily dormant, she didn't want to push him away, but she didn't exactly have anything to say about the situation.

I kissed him back, softly, as i relished in the desperate kiss he was offering.

I could almost taste his love, i could feel his emotions through the kiss.

His fingers webbed through my hair, pushing us closer, as he got more access.

He slowly pushed the tip of his tongue through my lips, and i opened it to let him through.

He ceased the moment to slip his tongue into my mouth, where our tongues collided.

My body reacted harmoniously to his kiss, not sensually as it would with Aries.

I didn't feel a spark shoot through my body, but his kiss wasn't distasteful. I was enjoying it. His kiss was like any normal kiss, and it was good.

He slowly parted sucking my lower lip as he did, while he looked into my eyes, with a hungry look in his own dark blue ones.

My breathing was a bit loud, but not heavy. He didn't steal my breath away, like Aries did, but that didn't mean anything.

I smiled at him, while he returned the smile.

"Are you two done, already?" Aries' booming snappy, voice made me jump out of place, as i stood by Michael.

I cleared my throat, and nodded, my eyes raking on his new attire. Black jeans, a dark grey 'v' neck shirt, and some black shoes.

Michael intertwined his fingers through mine, and pulled me past Aries.

On our way, Aries held on to my upper arm, looking down at me.

His eyes seemed dark, but filled with hurt, despair, and pain. His lips were morphed into a frown which broke my heart.

I wish i wasn't in this situation. I prayed my birthday come closer.

18 more days till then, and time wasn't helping my situation.

He lowered his head, looking deeply into my eyes, mesmerizing me.

I felt a tug on my hand and so Aries let go of my arm, "Go," was all he said, to make me walk right after Michael with my tail between my legs.

  ~

We were seated in the kitchen, and i was preparing Michael some lunch.

I heard shuffling through the mansion, and assumed that Aries was back.

Placing the turkey sandwich in the grill, i turned to Michael awkwardly, "I'm gonna go check up on him," i said lowly, "To see if he wants something to eat." I continued, with a gulp.

Michael nodded at me, understandingly, and gave me a weak smile.

I hurried out of the kitchen and stalked towards Aries' study, knocking lightly.

I heard a faint 'Come in' and twisted the knob, walking inside.

He was sitting at his desk, flipping through papers and files, stressfully.

"Make it quick, i don't have time, Ariel."

I nodded, and approached him, behind the desk.

He paused doing everything, and looked at me questioningly.

I swallowed hard, "D-do you need anything to eat?" I asked, nervously, "I'm making some sandwiches, but if you want some m
acaroni, or steak or-"

"A sandwich is fine," he cut me off.

I nodded, hesitantly, and began to retreat, but he clutched my forearm tightly turning me around to face him as he sat.

I raised an eyebrow at him, and he opened his mouth to speak, "I need to ask you something," He said.

  I nodded, "Go ahead."

"Do i really make you unhappy?" He asked, his eyes looking confused and pained.

"Uh-You heard?" I asked, referring to what Michael said earlier.

  "Every single word."

Aries looked away from me, and i felt choked on words. I couldn't find my voice to answer his question. I didn't have it in me to answer him.

"I should go and check on Michael.." i whispered, as i cowered away heading for the door.

  "Ariel.." he called.

I turned around to ask him, what he needed, but i bumped right into him.

Before i could concentrate on what was happening, he cupped my face in his hands, and pressed his lips to mine, kissing me with all his passion, despair, pain, need, and desire.

His lips molded with mine, as he kissed me gently and desperately. My eyes fluttered shut as i reveled in the moment.

He wrapped an arm around my waist and held the back of my neck with his other hand, weaving his fingers through my hair as he flushed our bodies together, as if trying to merge us into one.

  I couldn't breath, but i didn't mind.

My mind became fuzzed and i couldn't think straight. I could almost taste his desire dancing on my taste buds, urging for more.

He kissed me over and over, urgently, without fishing for air. His fingers dug into the exposed skin of my waist, adding to my arousal.

Suppressed moans were building up deep within my chest, but i wouldn't dare let them out.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, as soon as i started feeling dizzy as my knees began to unbuckle beneath me.

I felt light tingles, shooting through my body, spreading warmth all over, as knots crumbled in my stomach.

Aries plunged his tongue through my lips, as his exotic and erotic taste exploded in my mouth, making me moan loudly.

A deep husky growl emitted from the back of his throat, and i could feel the vibrations, move through me, as i shivered feeling it in my core.

He stroked my tongue with his, ripping his hand out my hair as he slid it down my back, reaching the baggy shorts i had on.

His hand lingered near the boundary line of the waist band, waiting for any sort of rejection by me.

My mind was too busy thinking about how i needed to keep breathing through my nose, as he kissed me to death.

His hand slyly lifted the waist band, slipping through, as his fingers brushed against my undergarment.

I lifted a leg up and wrapped it around his waist, as he pulled my other leg and mimicked my action.

His kisses began getting rougher and more heated by the minute. As if he wanted to devour me whole.

His growls and groans were loud, but i had no objection to that, it added to my rousing, and i was sure that he knew how much he was evoking me.

Suddenly, he bite my lower lip and sucked on it hard, breaking our heated make out, as he placed me back down on the ground and steadied me on my feet.

I opened my dazed looking eyes and looked up at him breathing hard and raggedly.

His eyes were almost pitch black and his chest was heaving as he took in deep and heavy breaths.

"Mine," he stated with a husky voice, before turning around and going back to his previous position at his desk.

I scurried out of his study, closing the door behind me, as i breathed in and out deeply, thinking, what the hell just happened?

I looked at a mirror that was hanging near the door and almost gasped.

My cheeks were flushed to the max, my eyes were twinkling and my lips were swollen, red.

"Ariel?" Michael's deep voice sounded from the kitchen doorway.

I cursed before turning around, to face him.

Michael's eyes raked my body from bottom to top, before our gazes locked.

Michael's lips parted, before his eyes darkened and widened in realization.

I looked away from him, feeling embarrassed, and unable to look at or explain anything to him.

  He wouldn't understand.

Aries is difficult, but i was attracted to him, like a moth to a flame.

My wolf never appeared on either times, when Michael kissed me or when Aries kissed me, but the way i felt right now, had nothing to do with my wolf.

I disliked Aries with a passion but i also liked him with a raging desire.

  Did that make sense? No.

  Did i mean it? Yes.

Michael frowned at me, storming out of the mansion without another word.

  ~

I made Aries a couple of sandwiches and placed them on his study table before leaving to my room. Or his room, technically.

Shutting the door behind me, i went to the wardrobe and put on a dark red tank top with some black silk pyjama pants, before crawling onto the couch and turning on the tv.

Flipping through the channels, i found that Final Destination 5 was on and it seemed to have just started.

So i snuggled up, wishing that Liz was right here, watching with me.

Staring at the tv screen for the first hour, really stiffened my neck.

The door suddenly started creaking open, catching my attention, and i felt my heart race. But then i decided that may be i didn't close it well enough when i first came in.

I looked back at the tv screen and kept watching for a while before i heard the door creak open wide.

My eyes widened and my heart almost jumped up my throat, forming a lump.

I felt myself shiver slightly, before i decided to man up, and shut the door.

I got out of my place and slowly walked towards the door, my wolf being totally unresponsive. She wasn't afraid, just curious. But i, on the other hand, almost peed my pants.

I reached for the door knob, and took a peek out of the room, looking through the empty hallway, then shrugged, and closed the door slowly.

As i released the door knob, i felt something breathing down my neck.

  More like, someone.

My heart pounded against my rib cage threatening to burst out. And i tried connecting to my wolf, who seemed unfazed.

"Need some company?" A dark deep voice, sounded, sending chills up my spine as i almost jumped in place.

I shut my eyes tight, as i felt my stomach churn uncomfortably.

Turning around slowly, my eyes locked with his dark looking eyes.

  Chapter 15- Genevive

  Ariel

"Aries.." my voice came out as a whisper.

"What are you watching?" He asked, nonchalantly, as if he didn't just scare the daylights outta me.

  I let out a breath i didn't realize i was holding in.

"Final destination 5." I replied, nervously.

"Is that what's got your heart racing?" He asked, suspiciously, his eyes boring into mine.

I, hesitantly, nodded, and side stepped him, heading for the inviting couch.

"Thank you." He said, out of the blue.

"For what?" I asked, not tearing my eyes off of the tv.

I felt the couch cushion dip by my side, indicating that he took a seat.

My heart started racing faster, as if trying to win the triathlon. My palms felt sweaty and my stomach crumbled as i tried to resist the urge to bite my thumb's nail.

"For the good food. I'm not used to having these simple kind of things." He replied.

My neck snapped towards him, as i looked into his eyes, "What do you mean? Don't you eat?"

"I do, but, usually i get food delivered to me from my restaurant's chefs."

A blush crept to my cheeks, as i felt embarrassed. Of course, he got the top chefs to make him food and deliver it to him personally. All i made for him were a couple of turkey, cheese, and ham sandwiches.

My ego sank a hundred miles underground, as i gave him a weak smile, "Yeah, well, obviously my food is kind of 'low profile' compared to the food you're used to eating."

"No, your food is good, plus, i'll get used to it," he said, making my heart sink as i gulped, my cheeks getting warmer.

You know when they tell you to make a compliment sandwich?

Yep, that sort of felt like it, without the last bread topping.

My food is good? Well that's good. But he'll get used to it? Does that mean it isn't good? Or it's not up to his taste, so he'll get used to it?

I chose to ignore what he just said, because i had no words to answer him.

  "You're starting training tomorrow."

I looked back at him, alarmed.

  "What?"

"I'll be training you, along with Jake."

As soon as he said Jake's name, my face lighted ten times brighter.

A grin broke out on my lips, as i nodded like an imbecile.

  A growl was my response.

I flinched from his sudden reaction.

I mean, didn't he like Jake? Didn't he trust him? He's his best friend & Beta..

I scowled at him and looked back to the movie.

Apparently there was a commercial break.

Sighing i turned off the tv, deciding to give up and go to sleep early since i would be forced to wake up at 6 am or so for training.

I got up and headed towards the bed.

Pulling the covers and folding the corner into a triangle as i got in, resting my head back on the pillow before i began to shut my eyes.

"That's a good idea, we'll be waking up at dawn." He said, making my eyes fall out of their sockets as i shot up in bed.

  "Dawn?" I asked with disbelief.

He nodded, "The whole pack wakes up at dawn. Its the way the system worked, ever since i was a child."

I growled, mumbling some curse words, before turning away from him, and pulling the covers up to my chin.

I could feel his gaze on me, but i ignored it as much as possible, trying to make him think that i'm falling asleep.

He sighed, before i heard some shuffling as the bed dipped on the right side.

The felt the covers strain slightly as he pulled some on him, while he got into bed.

The lights were out in a second, and it was silent for a while.

Slowly i felt a hand crawl up around my waist sending shivers and tingles all over my body.
