Night Owl Reviews Top Pick; The Romance Reviews Top Pick

“What really makes the book good, for me, is that [Carr] really gets what makes erotic romance good. I’m compiling a list of erotic romance authors that really get the concept of the genre, and based on this book, I think Cassandra Carr will be on that list.”

~ The Pen & Muse Reviews

~See the Light (Safe Harbor, Book 1)~

The Jeep Diva Revved Up Read

“Some parts of the book that really brought forth emotions that I was not expecting from a book in this genre and I completely loved that fact!   Cocktails and Books 5-star Read

“Don’t pass this anthology up. It’s got hot times but the heart of the story is how three different couples meet, come together and fall in love. Yes, there are cultural differences, a paranormal twist, masks that need to be removed but overall, a great read.”

  ~ Harlie’s Book Reviews

~A Spanking Good Time, An Adventure Twice Told~

“Beyond exploring the D/s relationship it also shows us a female Dominate and a male sub, which is opposite of what many expect and a dynamic many find confusing.Anyone who is curious about D/s, spanking, etc. should read this.”

  ~Public Displays of Eroticism~

Night Owl Reviews Top Pick; Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews True Gem; Romance Junkies 5-star Read

“These ladies did a wonderful job of keeping the story line together. This is a great little hot read. Actually, it is hotter than a fireplace. The scenes are hot, the passion is raw. The characters are extremely fun and pleasurable. Ms. Carr, Ms. Davenport and Ms. Ryder work the house.”

~ All I Want and More

~Head Games (Buffalo Intimidators Series, Book 1)~

The Forbidden Bookshelf 5-star Read; Ruby RedFire Reviews 5+-star Read

“The story’s plot is well written to show the drama of struggles and conflicts of entering a ménage relationship. The author truly captured the emotions between the three as they experienced the stressors of dealing with their careers and how society accepted a ménage and whether they would let it control their lives.”

  Chapter One

“You went three for four on the night. Even capping it off with an inside the park homerun. With only two weeks until the All-Star Break you must be very confident for the American League Team, Cole,” Betsy Flynn said as she turned her microphone to the future Hall of Fame shortstop Cole Gardner.

He stood almost a foot taller than her five-foot-two height even with her heels giving her almost three inches of boost. Tall and lean, Cole was the top player for the Twins and a hometown hero. The twenty-two year old with a perfect jawline and twinkling blue eyes had female fans lining up with posters pledging their love.

Betsy, on the other hand, just wanted out of the heels. She loved sports and being the local color reporter for a CBS affiliate; she just hated they expected her to dress like a girl. Maybe if Bert Barker, the head sports reporter, had to spend an entire football game on the sidelines in heels he’d change the mandate. At least with baseball she could sit down and just take notes.

“It’s been a great first half to the season and I’m so proud to represent the Twin Cities once again in the All-Star game,” Cole said, then curled his lips into a seductive smile. “Will you be following us there?”

“Oh, I think we’ll be sending Bert to play with you guys.” Betsy smiled and turned back to the camera. “And that’s all there is here from Target Field. The hometown boys brought us a win shutting out Cleveland five to zero. I’m Betsy Flynn, sending it back to Bert and the KSPC News Desk.”

Ron, her camera-man, signaled cut as the red light flipped off the camera.

“Betsy, if the station won’t send you how about I put something together?” Cole asked.

  She’d already started pac
king up her bag to leave. Betsy Flynn did not have time for a kid eight years younger than her.

“You know when you’re at the game I always play better.”

“Cole,” she said as she pulled out her flip-flops and started switching shoes. “If you lived in my neighborhood growing up I would have been paid a buck fifty an hour to babysit you.”

“How about I give you three dollars and we go out to dinner? I’ll let you cut my steak.”

She started to protest. “You can have any girl you want—”

“So I won’t give you the three dollars. Come on Betsy, I’ve been old enough to drink for a year now.”

“You’re adorable,” she said as she took his chin in her hand and pulled him close. “I don’t date boys I could have diapered at one time in my life.”

“It’s a lot funner down there now.”

“Funner’s not a word, and I still have to get my equipment back to the station.” She instantly shot Ron a don’t-you-dare look as he slung his bag over his shoulder.

“One day, Betsy, you’ll break.” Cole winked at her, then back peddled and turned to the locker room.

Betsy pulled her hair up into a ponytail and her core temp dropped immediately. The July night air was muggy, but at least there was a breeze.

“Do you know how many girls are jealous that you get to talk to Cole?” Ron asked. “Let alone if they knew he’s been trying to sleep with you for the last three years? Why don’t you date him?”

“Because I date men, not boys,” she replied as they walked toward the exit.

  “Then why aren’t we dating?”

“Did I stutter?” she kidded and winked at Ron.

Ron was in his early sixties and wearing his normal behind the camera uniform of a station polo and jean shorts. His thick salt and pepper hair was pushed back by a pair of sunglasses.

  “C’mon, why don’t you date?”

“You wanting surrogate grandbabies?” Betsy chided. The man who’d taken on dad duties for her.

“No, but you go to work then home. I don’t even hear of you having a girls night.”

“That’s because I sneak out after curfew.” Betsy got in the news van and buckled up. “I didn’t really go out when I lived in Texas either, it’s nothing personal.”

“I find it hard to believe you’ve never had a boyfriend.”

“Of course I’ve had a boyfriend, we just didn’t go out. He was...” She refused to allow herself to remember. Her fingers tightened around her cell phone to control the shaking that had her hands tingling. “We were kids. And broke.”
