“Baby you feel so good!” He groaned as he began to pound into her.

“Give me all you have!” Donnie demanded as she gripped him tightly. “Yes! Oh, yes.”

Gabe continued to pump into her until a tingle ran down his back. He planned to make her come first. His fingers searched between them until he found her little nubbin. Strumming it and plucking it like a fine musical instrument, he gave her what she needed until she came screaming.

She bucked in his arms losing all control. That’s when he lost his and was rocked by an orgasm too. Ropes of cum filled her as he sprayed her full. A deep visceral growl escaped his throat as he let her move down the front of his body until she was standing on her feet.

Now it was time to get clean. Gabe soaped up his lovely woman carefully and rinsed her clean. “My turn,” she insisted as she began to soap him. It felt marvelous. He stepped under the water and rinsed himself off.

“Let’s get out of here and dry off,” Gabe suggested.

Once they were out, he turned the water off and grabbed a towel. He dried the gorgeous woman then dried himself. She moved to get herself something to wear and he put what he’d been wearing back on. He’d find some clean clothes after they ate. They were ready and he escorted her to the cafeteria.

The scents of food hit him as they neared the cafeteria. His mouth watered and he hoped they had food his woman would like.

  Chapter 9

  Loving Him

Donnie looked at Gabe as he led her into the dining area and she was amazed. Never in her wildest dreams had she imagined she would be walking at his side free to live her life as she chose. It seemed like she was lost in her imagination and this couldn’t be real. She was tempted to pinch herself but she was afraid it would bring her back to her old reality. That was somewhere she never wanted to be again.

The food made her mouth water and she was going to feast. The sex had certainly increased her appetite for just about everything. She stared at Gabe and realized she was ready for more sex too. It almost made her dizzy when she thought about all the changes in her life but they were all good ones.

They grabbed trays and loaded them with all their choices. Gabe looked over at her. “Are you sure you can eat all that?”

“My appetite has really improved since I’ve been here.”

“It must have. I see you have a sweet tooth.”

“Jazzy says it’s a really big sweet tooth and she brings me chocolates. Jazzy is very nice.”

“Hm, she’s never brought me chocolates.”

“Maybe you aren’t meeting your goals in school.”

“That might be the problem since I’m not in school.”

“Jazzy only rewards students with chocolate. You’re out of luck.”

Now, they got their trays and filled them with food. Donnie had been learning about what foods she liked, although she still had a lot to learn. They sat down and stuffed themselves, starved after their incredible sex. She suspected they would grow closer if they traveled together.

Two weeks had passed and they had grown closer, just as she’d expected. Tonight, they planned to have a meal in their room. Their room because she’d stayed with Gabe. Hildy hadn’t cared, she’d actually liked it. Her date had turned into a relationship and the young man was a crewmember. That meant he shared a room with three other crewmen.

Since he and Hildy had gotten close, he’d been staying with her. There was a lot of hooking up going on and they had a couple more weeks until they reached Oison. Gabe said he had a surprise for her. The ship had docked a couple days ago and Gabe had gone down to the planet. It made her wonder if he’d gotten her a surprise. If he had, she’d love it. Everything was exciting and new to her.

Right now, she was in the library with twenty other ex-lab residents learning what she needed to join Mazlan society. Donnie often wondered why the Mazlans were so helpful. Maybe she was jaded from a lifetime of poor treatment, but from her studies, people who were helpful usually had a reason.

She wished she knew what the reason might be. Donnie was quiet and listened most of the time. Because of that, she’d heard rumors about the Mazlans. One of those rumors was that some subjects were part Mazlan. It was mind blowing that the labs could capture Mazlans. They were said to be strong and to fight for others of their kind. That begged the question, how had it happened?

All the subjects had been told once they arrived on Mazlan they would be tested to find their families. That scared her because she wondered what happened if she had no family? Were they taking them just because they thought they were Mazlan? Did that mean if their test proved she wasn’t, they’d send her away?

It worried her and in just two weeks she’d have her answers. In just two weeks, she’d worked her way up two grades to ninth grade. By the time they arrived, she hoped to be in eleventh grade. Jazzy had told her to think long and hard about what she wanted to do. The list of jobs on Oison was long and there were some jobs on the moon and the trade station orbiting the moon too.

There was even talk of doing something with the second moon, even though it didn’t have an atmosphere. They had the options of terraforming or using shields to surround select areas. The population was growing but there were still huge sections of the planet uninhabited. Maybe they wanted the moon for people they weren’t sure they wanted planet side? It was hard to say.

Donnie had two more assignments to do and she would be done for the day. She was determined to complete her assignments everyday so she would get high school completed as soon as possible. She wasn’t decided on what to do, but it would require college. Once she finished, she shut down her computer. Getting back to her room as fast as possible was all that was on her mind.

She wasn’t sure if Gabe was ready for her or not. He wanted to surprise her, or so he’d said. Donnie wasn’t sure how she felt about surprises. In the past, they’d all been bad. Disappointment was connected to surprises but he seemed to be sure she would like it. Gabe couldn’t hide how excited he was to do this, whatever it was, or her.

There was really nothing for her to do except go to Gabe’s room. Everyone she hung out with like Hildy and Jazzy were still tied up in the library. Maybe she should have taken an extra assignment, but she was having trouble concentrating knowing Gabe was preparing something special just for her.

She couldn’t deny it was exciting. It was also impossible for her to imagine what it might be unless it was a special meal? But she didn’t think Gabe could cook. Maybe it was just a gift, but she had no idea what that might be.

He was in there right now, or at least she imagined he was, preparing for their night. Donnie just wasn’t imaginative enough to come up with anything that it might be. It was almost an hour before she was supposed to return and she had nothing to do.

Donnie felt bad because he was surprising her, but she had nothing to give him. There was no money or items in her possession and she had no way to earn anything. All she had was hope that someday she would have a job that paid and be able to pull her weight. She was already considering several occupations.

Maybe she would be a psychologist, a social worker, a teacher, or a business manager. All she knew was she wanted something challenging and a job that made her feel like she was helping others. More education was needed for her to find her place in this new world she was now in.

After sitting around and watching people walk by for half an hour, she took the long way around and now it was nearly time. A little early wasn’t a bad thing, right? She would find out soon enough. His door was right in front of her. She knocked even though there was a ringer. Many of the people onboard knocked too.

The door opened and Gabe was there. “Right on time. I hope you love this as much as I want you to. Come in.” He stepped to the side and she entered. There was a table set up with flowers, candles, and food. She saw a bottle of champagne chilling. This was like a romantic scene in one of the books she sometimes read after classes.

  “It’s be
autiful,” she said. Gabe pulled a chair out for her and she sat down. He pulled the lids of both her plate and his. “It smells good,” she added with a smile. Gabe had set things up perfectly. The meal was delicious, the champagne went straight to her head and the dessert was decadent. “There’s something in the bottom of my glass.”

“Yes, it’s a ring. Donnie, I want to marry you. I want us to be together forever.”

“Yes,” she said with tears in her eyes. “I want you to be my family.”

He took the ring out of her hand and slid it onto her finger. “You will be the most beautiful bride ever.”

Gabe kissed her and then he picked her up and set her down by the bed. He began to strip out of his clothes so she did too. Sex between them was always wonderful, but this time felt different. This time it was to celebrate forever and they would have each other for keeps.

Her man looked different too and his eyes almost seemed to glow. It was probably just the excitement and the candles that made them shine. She crawled on the bed and laid down waiting for her lover. He didn’t make her wait long before he was on top of her, caging her in.

“I can barely wait to claim you,” Gabe said.

“I want you more than ever too,” she replied before his lips dropped to hers and feasted on her. “Take me!” She demanded knowing she was ready and she needed him.

Gabe lined them up and sank inside her. A wave of need rolled over her as he began to drive into her seeming nearly crazy with the desire to possess her completely. Donnie was no less needy as her legs wrapped around him and her tongue licked his neck.

Her gums ached and she felt the need to taste him. As her climax ripped through her, she bit him and felt the sweet taste of his blood. She felt a pinch that told her he’d bitten her back. They’d nipped at each other before, but she was stunned they’d both drawn blood.

Gabe rolled them over pulling her with them and she relaxed on his chest. She drew patterns with her fingers on his chest but when she looked at his shoulder she saw a dark purple pattern there.

“What happened to you?” She asked.

  “What do you mean?”

  “Look down at your shoulder.”

“By the gods! How could that happen? Hey, you have one too.” She looked down and indeed, she did have a similar one, only smaller. “It’s okay. I think the Mazlans may have some answers for us.”

  Epilogue

They were at the end of their journey and they were mated and marked. What did it mean? Maybe the royals of Oison that denied being royals could explain it to her. Gabe only suspected and nothing was certain. They would load up on a shuttle and Cash had told the royals they needed to meet her. They had agreed and she wondered why. Had Cash explained the markings or had he just been general?

The ship was orbiting near the station and she and Gabe would be on the first shuttle to the station. They would unload and get on the first shuttle from the station to Oison. It seemed complicated but the ship was too big to dock and it wanted to keep all of its own shuttles onboard.

“Are you ready?” Gabe asked excitedly.

“Whenever you are,” Donnie said. Whoever said women took longer to get ready or pack were just plain wrong. She’d been ready for hours and was just waiting until the time arrived. Gabe had packed and repacked while he hunted down misplaced items.

An alarm sounded. “They’re playing our song.”

What did that even mean? “Okay.”

“Hand me your bag, Babe and let’s go.” She did as he asked.

They moved to the front of the line garnering nasty looks from people standing there longer. She felt bad but they were just following directions. The shuttle loaded quickly and took off, leaving all the irritated people behind. The station was complete craziness. Several ships, smaller than the one they were on, were docked doing trade deals. A couple more ships, large ones, orbited and were forced to run shuttles too.

Gabe led her right to the spot the shuttle sat waiting for them. It felt funny to be treated like a VIP. Gabe had told her she might have to get used to it. As her mate, he would have to get used to it too. They loaded and a few others got on with them. The shuttle took off only halfway full. That was odd with so many other passengers needing to go planet side.

Donnie pushed it out of her head. She knew Gabe’s theory that she was related to the royals, but she didn’t believe it. Apparently, whatever he told them had convinced them. They would know better as soon as they laid eyes on her.

The shuttle took off and headed to the planet. It was a short trip and her stomach was doing flip flops. Donnie could admit she was nervous. She’d never met royals before. It seemed almost funny that she would meet them now.

The shuttle landed and Gabe escorted her off and straight to a large group of people. “This is Razar, Razar, this is Donnie.” Gabe went through all the introductions until she had met the while royal family. It was overwhelming to meet so many people at once.

“Show me your mark, Gabe.” Razar insisted and Gabe pulled his shirt to the side so he could see.

“Is it a Mazlan mark?” Gabe asked.

“Yes, it’s a royal mark and a high one.”

“So what exactly does that mean?” Gabe asked.

“Until we have blood tests I can’t be certain, but my guess is she’s the former emperor’s granddaughter. Regardless of whether that’s her connection or not, she is part of our family,” Razar admitted.

The whole family grouped around her, hugging her and welcoming her to the family. It felt good to be part of something, a family like this. It was also a tiring day and she hoped to get quarters so she and Gabe could rest before doing anything else. She shot Gabe a helpless look.

“Can we get moved in somewhere so we can rest?” Gabe asked.

“Of course. I know it will take time for her to adjust, but she will have all the rights and eventually responsibilities of our family,” Razar explained.

“I think you will find her capable of anything she wants to do,” Gabe insisted.

“It will take time for her to be fully involved in everything, but I look forward to it,” Razar said.

They eventually were settled into a house by Razar’s assistant before he left them alone. “The house is lovely.”

“It is and we will settle in here. We’ll work everything out and eventually, this life will be as you want it,” Gabe offered.

  “What about you?” Donnie asked.

“I may have to do assignments for Cash part time, but I’ll find something regular here. We’re together forever, Sweetheart. You, me, and eventually whatever kids we have will live happily ever after on Oison.”

“This is a perfect end to our love story,” Donnie whispered.

“There’s no end, it will just go on and on forever,” Gabe said as he took her in his arms and held her tight.
