Broken Princess (Van der Borne University Book 2)

Tonight isn’t about him. I totally intend to give him what he's asking for, but on my own terms. I get to my feet, discarding the rest of my clothes, on the way over to the bed and lay on my back at the foot of it, my hair spilling over the side.
He comes to stand in front of me, as I open my legs, letting my knees fall open. Dipping my hand between them, my middle and index finger circle my clit. He’s watching me, his request for a blowjob momentarily forgotten. I close my eyes, getting lost in the sensation, and smile to myself when he leans over me, blowing on my sensitive flesh.
His tongue laps at my folds. Once he has a good rhythm going, I reach my hand out for him, guiding him closer, licking the base of his cock, warming myself up, then open my mouth wide, taking as much of him as I can. I stroke him and flick my tongue along the underside of his shaft. Shifting a little more, I barely come off his cock as I move my head back and forth while writing the alphabet with my tongue.
He loses focus when I make a rumbling sound in my chest. His hips jerk forward, and I exhale through my nose as I swallow around him. I know I have him when his nails dig into the back of my thighs, emitting a strangled moan against my clit. I remember to keep my neck relaxed as he coats the back of my throat.
I watch him as he sleeps, fully sated after our latest romp. His face is calm and unguarded, the beauty of it still takes my breath away. His toned, muscular body, is sculpted perfection that not even his masterful hands could ever replicate.
He lies here unaware of the swirling emotions inside me. My tormentor, my friend, my lover, my enemy. Logan wore me down, hiding his truest nature and intent behind flowery words and seduction. The memory of his betrayal makes me want to suffocate him in his sleep. But there’s still more to do before I reveal just how much I hate him. Until then, I’ll pretend. Keep his trust. Warm his bed. He stirs in his sleep.
“Jordy? What’s wrong?”
I duck my head to hide my contempt, not yet able to mask my emotions the way he did. I slide my hand up and down his length before taking him in my mouth. He forgets his question as I work him over. I push his hands away when he grips my head forcing me down. Coming up for air, I kiss a path along the length of his body and ease myself onto his shaft. Riding him with deep thrusts, I work through the anger and lust I feel.
“Jordy…” He growls, flipping us over. He pulls out, turning me onto my stomach, taking control. I allow myself to let go. Needing release from the ball of tension I carry. The knot unfurls with each stroke.
“Logan,” I croak as he rocks deep inside me, setting off fireworks. He licks and nips my shoulder, his hand resting on the back of my neck. Something inside me claws at me, demanding to be acknowledged. “Harder!” I gasp, giving voice to the need to be claimed.
His stroke falters for a beat before he grips my hips, slamming home. He lifts my head when I try to muffle my screams in the pillow. “You asked for it, now I wanna hear you.”
I scream and yell as he fucks me. It’s cathartic and when I cum, the tension and stress releases. Warmth spreads through me, as the familiarity of being surrounded by him, filled by him, seeps into me. And for just a second, I’m me and we’re us again. Then he groans against my ear. Whispering soft words, caressing me, telling me how much I mean to him, and the numbness returns.
Logan McKay can use my body the way I’m using his, but he’ll never have my heart to destroy again.

Jordanna did it again. First she fucked and ditched me in New York, then she tied me up and made me go down on her when we were stranded at the studio, and now she’s giving upside down blow jobs and spelling shit with her tongue.
I’m enjoying seeing this side of her, but it’s also got my head all fucked up. I’ve built my reputation around leaving them wanting more, so why am I the one sitting around trying to figure out when I can see her again, while keeping it a secret from my friends.
“Since when are you a slave to your phone?” Dad asks, lowering his device to the table.
Apparently since Jordanna’s not answering my calls or texts until she feels like it. Sometimes that feeling doesn’t hit until hours later. “Just waiting on a call.”
“I’ve been meaning to ask, how are things at school.”
“Great.”
“Really? There’s been no blow back from what happened? And before you answer, I’ve talked to Max. He wanted me to know I could relax because he’s fairly certain Isabelle Lance won’t be fighting me for a VP slot at McKay Media.”
“It’s not what you think, dad.”
“I think not three months after the last bet ended, you’ve somehow entered into another one with the same stakes. So tell me how this is different.”
“I swear to you I haven’t made a new bet. This was just me ensuring there was no way Bella could reignite the terms of the old one. You taught me to be thorough. This is me doing that.”
That seems to satisfy him. Did I expect secrecy from the family lawyer? Not really, but I also wasn’t expecting my dad to be concerned enough about it to mention it. He’s only just loosened the requirement that I show up for every party, meeting or event he attends. If he thinks I’m about to do something stupid, he’ll probably figure out a way to force me to move home and commute to school. I’ll never be able to avoid his horrible attempts at matchmaking if that happens.
Looking at my phone again, I resist the urge to throw it across the room. Where is she and why isn’t she answering? As if she can sense the direction my thoughts are heading, a new alert pops up on Prospectus. I click the notification, staring at the picture. She’s about an hour from here, spending time with her family. I’m less pissed. But not much.

Somehow, I made it through what turned out to be a pleasant dinner. Or at least the parts I didn’t zone out for, were. Dad and I drove separate cars to the restaurant, and now I’m pulling up in front of Jordanna’s house, uninvited. Slowly the door opens and I’m staring down at some high schooler with goop all over her face. I’ve seen pictures of Summer, this isn’t her.
“Hi.”
“Ciara, who’s at the door?” Someone calls from somewhere in the house.
“I don’t know, but whoever he is, he’s hot.” The smirk and appraising look she gives is the only sign I need, to know that in a few more years, she’s gonna be trouble.
“I’m Logan.”
“What can I do for you, Logan? Car break down and you need a phone?” She pulls one from her pocket. “By all means, use mine and program your number in it while you’re at it.”
Did I say a few years? She’s trouble now.
“Ciara, what’s taking you…” The girl who walks up behind her is Summer. “Well uh, yeah. I can see what the hold up is.” She narrows her eyes at me. “No comment, and tell your boss that just because they send a cute news vulture out here to the house doesn’t change that our answer is and will always be, no comment.”
“I’m not with any paper.”
“No? Cause you look like you are. You’ve got that newspaper feel to your aura.”
As Jordanna’s sister, I guess she would know all about newspaper auras. “Let me rephrase. I work for my school’s paper. I’m the editor for The Guild.”
“You’re Jordanna’s boss? Doesn’t change the fact that we’re not giving interviews. So no comment, and might I say it’s pretty sleazy of you to try to get an exclusive when I know she’s already told you that our position is NO COMMENT!”
That last part brings Jordanna to the door. Her eyes blazing, ready to do battle with whoever is upsetting her sister. Spotting me does nothing to relax her posture or subdue the murderous glint in her eyes. Someone plotting my demise shouldn’t look this hot, but she does. I can’t get enough of her fight. I avert my gaze and think of something else so I don’t inappropriately show the teens a boner.
“What are you doing here, Logan?”
“Not looking for a scoop.” I say for Summer’s
benefit. Giving her a reassuring smile, I refrain from saying what I am here looking for. I get the feeling admitting I’m here to fuck her sister wouldn’t go over so well.
“You girls go back inside. I’ll be in, in a second.”
“I don’t trust him.” Summer whispers to Ciara as they walk away.
“Neither do I.” Jordanna says, hands on her hips.
Bracing my arms on either side of the door, I lean forward. “Aren’t you gonna invite me in?”
“To the one place in my life you haven’t contaminated? Why don’t you tell me why you’re here and then I’ll decide if I want to let you inside.”
Dragging my eyes down her shirt, I see her nipples poking at the fabric. “Oh, babe, you want me. Inside.” A flick of my eyes makes sure the girls are gone before I continue. “Of you.”
She’s pushing against my chest. I didn’t even realize I was already moving forward.
“I’m not sure why you’re here, or how you even knew where to find me.”
“Your Prospectus post.”
“Fine, stalker, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is a no-Logan zone. You can’t just pop up at my house like this.”
“I would’ve called first, but you weren’t answering your phone.”
“Because I’m spending time with my family, and talking to you isn’t my priority. They are.”
That stings a little. “Jordy, you don’t have to choose between spending time with them and talking to me. We can do both.”
“We cannot do both. Mom’s out-of-town picking up things for her new project. I promised Summer one-on-one, uninterrupted girl time and that’s what I’m giving her.”
“Seems to me you can’t count. Ciara makes three.”
“She’s Robbie’s sister and Summer’s best friend, so she’s practically family.”
I look over her shoulder, grinding my molars together. “Does that mean he’s in there too? Is that why you’re not letting me in?”
“For fuck’s sake, Logan.” She huffs. “No, he’s not here, and you don’t get to pretend to be jealous.”
“Who says I’m pretending? Jordy, I’m jealous of anyone who gets to spend time with you. What’s it gonna take for me to get time with you, too?”
“We work together and go to school together.”
“That’s not enough and it damn sure isn’t the same thing.” I pull her to me, stealing her words and her breath with a kiss. “Invite me in, so we can spend time together. I’m good with girls, you’ll see.”
“These are not the same type of girls you’re used to manipulating. These are little sisters.”
“Didn’t you know? I’m great with little sisters. Just ask mine.”
It took pizza, and wings, and some serious sucking up to get Jordanna to agree to hang out with me after Summer and her friend called it a night. They said they were gonna watch movies and go to bed but the way they kept giggling at their phones; I think they wanted some time away from the big sister so they could talk to boys.
We come to a stop outside the trendy new club on the east side of Kingsley Hollows. I toss my keys to the valet and grab Jordanna’s hand, bypassing the line to get to the bouncer on crowd control. My cousins jump out of their car a few seconds later. I should have known they’d figure out where I was going tonight and find a way to follow.
“She's with me, those losers back there, check them twice.” The bouncer nods, unhooking the rope to let us in. We're escorted up to the VIP lounge and have bottle service ordered before they catch up with us.
"Very funny, Logan." Aiden plops onto the couch and pours himself a drink.
"You got in, didn't you?"
"You're such an ass." Gina chuckles, waving to get the bottle girl’s attention.
“Aiden, you’d think you'd be done following me around by now. Doesn't it get old?”
“Hell no.” He smiles, reminding me of why we’re considered charming and dangerous. “You always know where the good parties, booze and women are. Why would I be bored with that?"
Why indeed? He’s been coasting off my success and contacts since we were kids. Jordanna sits erect away from my arm when Claire steps over the landing. “Relax,” I say, squeezing her knee. “You’re with me.”
“Which just means I’m a target for your girl.”
I shift closer, whispering into her ear. “You’re my girl. She’s just someone I used to fuck.”
“So am I.”
Breathing in the scent of her shampoo, I say, “You keep telling yourself that, Jordy.”
“Do I have it wrong? We used to, then we didn’t anymore.”
“Now we do again. Not as often as I’d like, but enough that you can drop that bullshit pretense that it’s never gonna happen again. Because it’s happening. All the time.”
Here we go, fighting again. I just wanted a nice evening out to relax, drink, and talk. There’s one sure way to get her to loosen up. Tapping the bottom of her glass, I say, “Finish up so we can go dance.”
She gulps it down the way she swallows my cum. Fuck, it’s hot. Pulling her to her feet, I navigate us down the steps and onto the floor. The bass from the music pours over us and I waste no time pulling her tight body flush against mine. She turns and sways to the music, until we’re joined hip to hip, back to chest, her hands around my neck as mine skim her thighs, her hips, her sides finally coming to rest around her mid-section.
“I love the way you grind on my dick.”
“Me too.” She presses her ass against it, exaggerating the sway of her hips.
“Turn around so you can rub that pussy on me.”
She complies, locking her arms around my neck as I grip her ass, bending down to kiss her. One part of my brain cautions me because we’re in the middle of the dance floor. The other part says fuck caution because Jordy in my arms is one of the best feelings in the world. When we come up for air, her lips are swollen, and she’s drunk on our kiss. Damn. The way she looks. I could take her right here.
“This was a bad idea.” I groan against her ear.
“Bringing me dancing or kissing me?”
“Thinking I could be this close to you and not want to rip your clothes off.”
“I kinda’ wanna rip yours off too.”
Music to my ears. “Good. Then let’s get out of here.”
“After I make a quick bathroom trip. Meet you back in VIP for one last drink and then we can head out?”
“Sounds good.”
I climb the stairs to VIP, coming up short when I spot the plastic army standing in front of me. “Shit.”
“What’s wrong?” Aiden asks.
What’s wrong is it seems his girlfriend told some people I’d rather not deal with that I’m here tonight. It wasn’t enough for the three of them to crash my evening, but Claire brought reinforcements. It’s never been a secret about who I’ve hooked up with, but it still throws me off center, to see the last three girls I kept in a regular rotation are here together, as if they’ve formed some kind of club.
Claire flips her hair, smirking at me. My guess is some shit’s about to go down. “Was that her?” Brennan asks.
“Mm-hmm.”
“You sure? She doesn’t really seem his type.”
Vivianne speaks next. “That’s because she’s not. I heard that he only pretended to like her. Although that doesn’t explain what he’s doing with her now.”
Claire smiles brightly, as if she’s finally caught on to a joke. “Doesn’t it though? I knew there was no way he’d really be into her. This is just more of your silly little games, right?”
“Jordanna and I are-”
Claire’s phone chimes, and if possible, her smile gets even brighter. “Bella, hey. Yeah, we’re already at the club. How far out are you?” She nods. “Fabulous, see you in a few.” She ends the call, turning back to me. “They said they’ll be here in five. So what were you about to say about your current flavor of the week?”
The way Gina’s eyes widen, I
know Jordanna is standing behind me. I turn around walking towards her, keeping my voice low. “So it looks like more people are crashing the evening.”
“I heard.”
“It’s probably better if you’re not here when they show up.”
“I agree. Let’s go, so the ripping off of clothes can commence.”
Hello rock, meet hard place. “What I mean is, you should go.”
The change from calm to ice happens fast. “So now that your entourage, is coming, you don’t need me to hang out with. Is that it?”
“You’ve got it all wrong.”
“Do I? Because you’re the one who showed up at my door, saying you’re stuck in town doing your princely duties and bored out of your goddamn mind. You begged me to leave my sister, get dressed and come hang out with you. But now that the people you actually like to spend time with in public are on their way here, I’m dismissed.”
“I’m not dismissing you, I’m protecting you.”
“From learning the truth again? Logan, I wake up every day thinking this is the day I’ll find out what you’re really up to. Like the girl said. What are you really doing with me?” She steps aways shaking her head. “And yes, that was a rhetorical question, because I already know the answer. You’re scratching an itch, and so am I.”
“That’s not what the hell I’m doing.”
“No? Then, is there a reason you don’t want your friends to see us together?”
Yes, but not one I can give that won’t end up with her thinking the worse about me. “I told you, I’m trying to protect you.”
“I can protect myself. Look I’ll demonstrate by walking away from you and this disastrous evening.”
Twenty-Nine
Logan
I’ve just finished my last midterm, and all I want to do is snatch Jordanna out of class and take us some place where we can be alone, and talk. My birthday is this weekend and for the first time since I was sixteen, I wish I could just skip the whole damn thing. My head’s just not into partying with my friends and family the way we usually do, especially since Simon won’t be here this year to join in. But it’s tradition, and I can’t stick my middle finger up at tradition.
