“The nanny.” Shaun offered and all three witches turned to look at the alpha in disbelief, and then turned in unison to stare at the vampire.
He grinned. Full fangs on show, and four male shifters growled again.
“He used to change my nappies and bounce me on his knee.” Dani shrugged. “You can look after my pups any day of the week.”
“W-what?” Riley swallowed hard.
“Was that a touch of fear for me looking after your cubs or for the thought of having the little ankle nippers in the first place?” Jeff grinned at the man and Dani frowned hard.
“Both.” He shot back, but his eyes were locked onto Dani.
“Wait til you’re asked.” She scowled back at him and he grumbled a growl.
“I didn’t bring it up.” Riley muttered.
“Ahh, family.” Jeff said teasingly and Dani snorted as Riley huffed. “And just think, by next Christmas there might just be four new members, all little growly ankle biters.” He beamed at the thought.
Another generation for the pack.
Another generation for him to watch over and protect.
That was the best Christmas present that he’d had in a long time.
