Single Dad’s Plaything: A Single Dad First Time Billionaire Romance Page 83

by Natasha Spencer

“You aren’t going to eat that?” He asked.

“No I’m full already. But I can bring it in for lunch tomorrow. I’m sure it’s just as good the second day.” She stated.

“Yes this is one of my favorite places to order from. Jackie hates it.” He said.

Sally knew from his biography on the website that Jackie was his wife. She had to wonder exactly what they shared to make them be together, but she didn’t ask.

“Come on I’ll take you home.” He said standing up.

She followed him out of the office and they got to his BMW in the parking lot. Silas opened the door for her and once she was inside closed it.

“So where do you live?” He asked.

“1412 West 52nd street.” She told him.

“Hmm, okay, that’s not really the best area for you to rent in.” He said.

“Well I didn’t know the area all that well, and needed somewhere close to the subway so I could get to work.” She admitted.

“Don’t worry, we’ll find you a better place. Maybe this weekend.” Silas offered.

“I couldn’t ask you to do that.”

“I insist, the last thing I want is an employee of mine being harmed because I let them stay in a bad part of town.”

The rest of the ride was quiet. Sally studied his profile and found herself wishing that she could reach out and touch him. Comfort him. Let him know that life wasn’t all bad, and that sooner or later he would be happy.

But how could she do that? Instead she looked out the window at the passing scenery and enjoyed New York City in all its glory.

He dropped her off and walked her to her door. “I want to make sure you’re safe Sally.”

“Thank you.” Sally said, once she had her door open and stepped inside. She had thought about inviting him inside, but knew she wouldn’t be able to control herself in her small apartment with his scent filling it.

  Chapter 6

Silas drove away from her apartment, and wondered why his wife couldn’t be more like Sally. He felt bad for thinking this way, but he was tired of everything he wanted being shot down by Jackie. She didn’t want any of the same things he did anymore.

When had their relationship turned so bad? At first she seemed different than she did now. She was way more supportive of him in the beginning, especially in terms of his career. But perhaps it was only his money that she cared about.

Sadly, he knew it was the truth, and wondered if Jackie had ever really loved him. She had always saw his money and career as a status symbol. He couldn’t even count all the times he had heard her say, “My husband is Silas McComb, you do know who he is, right?”

For so many years he had convinced himself they had a decent marriage, not perfect, but good enough. And spending a day with Sally made him question himself, and his marriage.

The questions Sally had asked had run through his mind many times, but anytime Jackie had threatened to leave him, she would threaten to take as much money as she could and ruin him.

He had never been unfaithful to Jackie, not once in the past, even though he had the chance to on many occasions. Young girls often threw themselves at him, but he knew they were looking for a sugar daddy to pay their way through school. He already had one gold digger in his wife, and didn’t need another.

He could tell Sally had been flirting with him tonight, and she was different from the rest of them. She didn’t see him as a bank, but as a person who had great ideas and ambition. It made him feel happy, and very attracted to her.

Silas still didn’t like the idea of having an affair. He also knew that if he had Sally that he would want her for himself. How could he ask her to do that, when he was already committed to someone else?

It put him in a hard spot, and speaking of hard, he had felt excitement around her sexually. It had been a while since he’d felt that way. Jackie, was indeed beautiful, but she really didn’t make him sexually excited anymore. It was her snooty attitude towards him that often turned him off.

Silas couldn’t get Sally out of his mind the whole drive home. He recalled the sexy dress she had worn today. It made her body stand out; she had all the right curves in all the right places.

He had been serious about finding her a better area to live in. But there had been more to his offer than just her safety. He had desired the chance to spend time with her outside of the job. This was the perfect way to do it he thought to himself. However, he didn’t know if he wanted to take the final step of sleeping with her. He feared that he would never want to leave her side.

Silas couldn’t wait to see her again tomorrow. When he got home, he made his way to his bedroom. Him and Jackie had been sleeping in different bedrooms for years now.

Jackie didn’t even come to see him when he walked in the door. She was in her room, probably on her computer, chatting with her friends about how much she had spent that day.

He appreciated the fact he didn’t have to face her. He would rather think about Sally instead. A woman, who liked his ideas and had even called him brilliant. It had been a long time since he’d heard those words from a female who didn’t like him only for his money.

  Chapter 7

Sally took a shower and put on some pajamas and called her parents. Of course they wanted to know about her first day at work. She told them about the new division that McComb was going to be opening up with herbal medicines to help people.

“Oh wow that’s wonderful news dear! You know so much about that, perhaps you can get in on the team.” Her father said.

“Well I really like my position already. But I get to help pick the team who will be running the division. So that’s really nice.”

Sally didn’t tell them much about what had happened between her and Silas. But her mom could tell she was holding something back. “So what about the ever famous Silas McComb? Was he everything you thought he’d be?” Her mom asked.

Shit. I really do have a big mouth, Sally thought. She could recall many times when she told her mom how brilliant of a business man she thought Silas was, and her mom was able to tell that Sally was enamored by him.

“He’s just as brilliant in person. A really nice guy too. I like working with him a lot.” Sally explained.

“Have you met his wife yet?” Her mom questioned, in an attempt to make sure Sally still remembered that this man should be off limits.

“No mom, I don’t think she comes to the company very often.” Sally stated.

“Hmm, well I told you before he’s married so just be sure you keep your relationship on a business level. Don’t allow yourself to be swept up by a married man just because you find charismatic and charming. You don’t want to be one of those types of people.”

Sally knew she was referring to women who broke up happy homes. But this home wasn’t a happy one. Surely it would be divulging a bit too much about Silas married life to her mom so she kept this information to herself.

“I know mom, I know. I remember the Commandments.” Sally said, annoyed.

“Good girl. Always follow them Sally as best as you can.”

Sally sighed, as she didn’t feel the same way. If she could offer him happiness where he had none, was it such a bad thing? Maybe she’d broached the subject another night when it was only her dad on the phone as he was often more open-minded and more understanding than her mother.

“I love you guys, I want to go to bed, I have work again tomorrow.” Sally said before hanging up the phone.

“Bye sweetheart! Sleep well. We love you.”

That night she tossed and turned and thought of Silas and what was right and wrong about the whole situation. She prayed for guidance in this situation, hoping that she would be shown the right path to take, and wishing that it would mean Silas would be in her bed one day. She felt dirty and guilty for a few minutes with those thoughts, but they were soon overwhelmed by her memories of his sadness she had seen in his eyes and heard in his voice when he had talked about his unhappy marriage
.

Was that enough to absolve her of the sin that she wanted to commit by sleeping with a married man? She didn’t know but she wished she could ask someone, anyone, so she didn’t feel so bad about her longing to be with him.

  Chapter 8

Silas got up the next morning. He had slept horribly wit thoughts of Sally taunting him all night. He had almost masturbated to take the sexual tension away a few times in the night, but decided against it. After all, he had gone four years with no sex, so what was another few weeks or days, depending on if he took that next step with Sally.

He wondered about Jackie as he walked past her bedroom on his way to the home gym he had built in his mansion. Jackie had complained about not having a place to work out in, and Silas had also known he would enjoy a nice workout. But of course she never used it. She just liked to have things for the sake of having them and for bragging rights.

He heard her laughing and talking on the phone. Silas made a mental note to call Clyde again to see if he’d discovered anything more about what Jackie did during the day as he became suspicious of her lately.

He had hired Clyde as a private investigator a few weeks before to follow Jackie. He was not sure whether Jackie had remained faithful to him or not. After all it was hard to go without sex for four years, and he wasn’t sure if she was handling it as well as he had.

As he climbed on the treadmill and put his headphones in he turned on his music and started running. His thoughts went back over how Jackie and he had grown apart, and how it came about.

He thought that he did have to take some of the blame for growing apart from each other but most of it was her fault she had been the one who had started to argue with every decision he made. First it was moving to the country because she didn’t want to leave the city. Next it was her threatening to take all of his money if they were to have a divorce.

She liked threatening divorce quite often and it was one of the main reasons he had hired Clyde to watch her. Silas was not stupid and knew that Jackie had to be seeing someone else. She would never leave him and leave herself broke. But if she was cheating on him, it would be with someone who was rich. Plus the money she felt she would garner in a divorce would help to support her for just a short period of time since she loved spending money and did so just about every day. Clyde had told him many times that he had followed Jackie to stores and watched her spend money like it was going out of style.

But if she was caught cheating he probably wouldn’t lose that much money during a divorce. I should have listened to my lawyer when he told me to get a prenup, he thought to himself. It would have saved him the hassle and the drama.

Of course when they first met Jackie had been quite attentive to his needs and wants. Pleasing him on more than one occasion. The sex was really good, especially in the beginning and he had been blinded by the lust he felt for her body. She was a model with one of the most beautiful bodies he had ever seen in his life.

He asked himself if there had really been any love on his side or not. Silas had to hope that he hadn’t been fooled by his body into thinking there was more to their relationship in the past. However, during the past four years he doubted himself and the decisions he made in his personal life.

His thoughts went once again to the young Sally Yates and how she had looked and smelled the day before. She had this lovely lilac scent that he had fallen in love with when he had stood closely behind her pretending to look out the window. It was a scent that was clean and feminine, and turned him so much.

Silas chuckled as he ran, he had been shocked when he had felt the erection yesterday. It had been years since he’d felt any kind of sexual reaction to a woman. But Sally had made him want to take her in his office, spread her legs apart right on his desk and make love to her all night. He could picture what he thought her sweet young body looked like under her clothes and he felt his cock begin to harden as he ran.

It was very hard to exercise when he was excited. Thankfully, he had finished his run and could jump off the treadmill. He made his way to the shower and turned the water on cold.

As he washed up, he moved his hand along his dick that was now fully awake. Sally filled his mind as he moved his hand on his member. But he didn’t allow himself to finish. Something in his mind told him to wait and share this first orgasm with this new woman in his life. He didn’t know when it would be, but if he had waited this long for sex he could do it for a little longer.

Silas smiled at the thought of pushing her over his desk and pounding into her. Showing her how much he desired her body and wanted to please her.

  Chapter 9

Sally got ready for work, picking out another outfit that showed off her curves. While she knew it was wrong to seduce a married man, it wasn’t to seduce a married man who was unhappy in his marriage. Or at least she tried to convince herself of that. She tried to control her guilt by telling herself that she wasn’t ruining his marriage, he already had stated how unhappy he was.

When she walked into her office she saw the door to Silas’s office was open. She could hear him talking and didn’t want to interrupt him so she looked over some reports he had left on her desk.

Entering the information into the computer she stayed busy until he came out of his office. She looked up to see his hair was still wet from a shower, and thought how sexy he looked.

Her body warmed up thinking of him.

  “Good morning.” He said.

“Morning. You seem like you are in a good mood this morning.” Sally commented.

“Yes, actually I am. I just found out some very good information.”

“Great!” She didn’t ask what the information was figuring if he wanted to share it he would. She had pushed him so much last night, now she felt like she had invaded his privacy.

“So are you ready to go over more of the resumes?” He asked.

“Sure.” Sally stood up and followed him into his office. His scent lingered in the air where he had been standing. As she walked through it, dirty thoughts of Silas crossed her mind and she thought that she might just give into him that day if she wasn’t careful.

They were going over the resumes when Jackie busted into the office. Her face was flushed and she didn’t even look at Sally. Instead she went over to Silas and began yelling at him. Sally felt odd being there but she couldn’t walk away, this was something she wanted to hear.

“Silas I’m leaving you. I am not happy anymore. My lawyer will be in touch with your lawyer. I hope once I get back from the country, we can finish our divorce.”

“I guess you decided your new man is worth more than me. How much money does he have?” Silas asked.

Jackie’s face went red and she sputtered, “There is no other man.”

“Oh come on Jackie, I know all about you two. In fact I have pictures to prove it. We’ll see just how much you can win in court when they find out you’re a cheating little whore.” Silas spat out.

“How dare you call me that?” She slapped him in the face hard.

Sally could hear the sound and saw the red mark that was left on his cheek from her hand.

“If the shoe fits. I had you followed for the past few weeks. My private investigator told me this morning after I left you had a man come over. He got some very interesting pictures of the two of you kissing and other positions. Let’s just say that these pictures will help me out in court.” Silas commented. Even though he hadn’t seen the pictures yet, he knew by Clyde’s tone that the pictures were what he needed to free himself from her once and for all.

“How dare you spy on me! That’s illegal and a total invasion of my privacy.” Jackie sputtered.

“It’s not when you’re my wife.”

“What do you expect me to do, you haven’t touched me in four years!” Jackie said, attempting to play the victim.

Silas didn’t let her fool him though, “You could have stayed faithful like I did, or at least you could have left me first before you slept with an
other man. Tell me Jackie how many men have you been with in the past four years? I only know of one, but I bet there are many others.” Silas asked.

Sally looked at the sadness that spread over his face when he asked. She hoped that Jackie wouldn’t make him feel worse, but had a feeling this woman was the evil and vindictive.

“That really is none of your business. If you really wanted me, you would have shown it. And you didn’t. Not by a long shot”

“On the contrary, it is my business. But I don’t really care, you can count on my lawyer contacting yours today. I don’t want anything to do with you anymore.”

Jackie slapped Silas once more and seethed, “You’ll pay for this in court.”

“No, I don’t think so. You will find that the judge will look at your cheating as he should: a total breach of our marriage contract. You know I should have done this years ago. Just enjoy the fact that I let you continue to spend my money while you fucked other men. It’s over now though.” Silas stated firmly.

Sally had called security by this time, and they entered the room looking around, unsure what exactly to do.

Silas looked at the men and told them, “Please escort Jackie on her way out and make sure she isn’t allowed back in. If she tries to, call the cops and have her arrested for trespassing.” He told them.

Jackie knocked their hands away, “I can leave on my own. You’ll pay for this Silas.” She said as they escorted her through the doors.

Sally felt like this was the sign she had prayed for the night before. How could anyone blame her for sleeping with this gorgeous man who was on his way to being single again?

  Chapter 10

“I’m really sorry you had to witness that. I do hope that you won’t discuss what you saw with anyone in the office.” Silas commented.
