“I’m just glad I was here call security before things got even crazier.” Sally stated.

“Yes thank you for doing that. She always thought she would be able to take a lot of my money when she left. But now she is realizing her cash cow is coming to an end. I pity the poor man she is hooking up with’ he’ll have a hell of a time paying her bills.” Silas muttered.

Sally thought he sounded sad, and wondered if he did actually love his wife. But she had also learned a lot more about his marriage with Jackie talking, and didn’t see how he could love her. She felt that perhaps this wasn’t a good time to seduce him and he needed to heal first. She needed to know he was over Jackie completely.

Silas closed the distance between them. “I know you must be thinking I’m an idiot for keeping her around for all these years.” He said.

Sally looked up at him, “No not really. If you loved her you wanted to try and work it out, it’s understandable.”

He cupped her chin in his huge hand and ran a finger along her cheek. “I don’t know if I was ever in love with her.”

“You must have been, you were together for over 10 years. I can’t see anyone staying with another person that long without love.” Sally said.

“Maybe you’re right, but I haven’t been happy for such a long time now.” He lowered his mouth to hers, unable to stop himself from kissing her.

The minute there lips touched Sally felt the electricity pass between them. She opened her mouth to him, even though she knew she shouldn’t. He pushed his tongue into her mouth and deepened the kiss. Sally molded her body into his and kissed him back, not wanting this moment to end.

He broke off the kiss and stepped back from her. She moved away from him in response and started to concentrate on the resumes once more.

Silas sat down beside her and looked over the papers for a few minutes. “Oh I found another place for you last night.” He said.

“I can’t really afford to move yet. I used most of my savings to secure the place I have now.” Sally commented.

“But I told you that area is bad, and I really don’t want you living there. At least have a look at the place and see if you like it.” Silas stated.

Sally sighed, “I guess so, but how will I ever afford it?”

“Don’t worry about that, I’ll reimburse you for the money you spent on the other place.”

“I don’t want your money Silas.” She said firmly.

“It isn’t my money, it’s the money you spent to get that other place. I look at it as an investment to make sure one of my newest employees is safe. We’ll go look at it this afternoon. But for now let’s see if we can get through more of these resumes.” He said, effectively ending any discussion on the subject.

Sally’s mouth was still tingling from his kiss and she wanted another one. But she couldn’t be so forward and just kiss him. He was still married and as far as she knew, still had feelings for his wife.

  Chapter 11

Silas couldn’t get the feel of Sally’s lips off of his mind as he tried to concentrate on the huge pile of resumes in front of him. She was so close to him, and all he could think about was kissing her again. But she had seemed to close herself off to him after mentioning the love he had shared with Jackie.

He knew that Sally wasn’t the kind that would go with a man when she thought he was still in love with another woman. He couldn’t blame her; in fact, it made him respect her even more. She was nothing like Jackie either by saying that she didn’t want his money. But he didn’t want her living where she did and would hate himself if something happened to her.

“Sally I might have loved Jackie a long time ago, when we first got together. But those feelings died a long time ago for me. I simply stuck with her because it was cheaper for me to not divorce her. Now that I have proof she cheated, it won’t be as expensive. She’ll be lucky to get a tiny portion of money.” Silas explained.

Sally looked up at him, “Are you sure you are over her?”

“Absolutely. You heard what she said about not having sex for the past four years. That will change any man’s feeling towards his wife. But I couldn’t bring myself to touch her, she didn’t excite me anymore.” He admitted.

“Sex isn’t love Silas.” She said firmly.

“I know that now. But in the past I thought they were the same thing.”

“Yes it can easily be confusing to someone. But I won’t have sex with a man, just to have sex, there must be more between me and the person.”

  “I respect that.” He said.

Sally was shocked at how their conversation was going. It was stirring up all kinds of emotions in her body. She knew she wanted Silas sexually, but she needed more than just sex with him. She would never allow herself to be just someone’s sex toy. She felt that deserved more in life than to be Silas’ plaything.

They were quiet while they worked away. The hours passed and soon his phone rang. He picked it up and talked for a few minutes.

“That fucking bitch.” Sally heard him say.

  “What’s wrong?” She asked.

“Jackie is alleging that I beat her and that was why she ran to the arms of another man.” Silas stated angrily.

“But you didn’t even touch her this morning after she slapped you. How could she even think of trying this?” Sally asked.

“I told you she knows she isn’t going to get as much money, so she will try and blackmail me with bad press to make me pay her hush money.”

Sally thought about this for a few moments. “But surely if you would have beat her in the past she would have gone to the emergency room at least one time. You should fight this Silas, and let the world know that she is lying.” Sally said.

“Yeah I know, it’s just bad timing, with the new division. People like to believe the woman in these cases.” Silas explained.

“But you can’t just pay her off and let her get away with tarnishing your name and reputation! You can hire the best lawyers and I’m sure they will win the case for you.”

“Well we can hope you are right.” He looked at his watch, “We have an appointment to get to.”

Sally followed him out to his car, she noticed he wasn’t standing as tall as he usually did. “Silas you shouldn’t let her get to you. You know you never did anything to her, so why are you thinking of caving into her blackmail?”

“I have slapped her before, but nothing serious. She also liked to be choked during sex, so she might bring that up in court. There are some things I would rather not come to light to the public. My personal life is something I don’t want out there.”

“How bad could it be?” Sally asked, unsure if she wanted to hear the answer.

He shook his head, “We’ll talk about it later. Right now we need to go see this apartment.”

  Chapter 12

Sally couldn’t help but wonder what he was so worried about coming out to the public. Was he into some sort of weird fetish? Did he like to beat a woman when he made love to her? Was this what Jackie was talking about? She couldn’t imagine Silas being anything but gentle, especially after the kiss they had shared in his office. But sometimes people turned into someone else when they had sex she thought to herself.

She had heard stories from friends before about the guys they were dating and the things they had done. Sally didn’t like rough or painful sex. She wanted sweetness and tenderness when she made love. She didn’t want her first experience to be painful and often worried about this.

Silas drove to the apartment, and remained quiet. She knew he was wondering about the damage this would cause to his company and to his reputation. Why was he so scared? Slapping Jackie and chocking her during sex wasn’t domestic violence if it was consensual she thought to herself.

She realized how very little she knew about the man beside her and chastised herself for letting her emotions take over and fall in love with him. How would she deal the fact that he wasn’t the man she had thought he was? Could she stop loving him? Sally thought s
he might already be too far gone. Her crush had turned into a full-blown love in a matter of days. Sally feared what she might learn about him as the days went on.

Her nerves were on high alert when they got to the apartment. The apartment was very close to her work, which was a huge plus. But she could tell by the building that it would be very expensive and definitely out of her budget.

“So what do you think?” Silas asked her after they toured the apartment.

“It’s lovely, and you said this area is nicer. But honestly, how much is it?” Sally asked.

“Don’t worry about the cost. Do you like it?”

“Silas I have to be able to afford rent and still have money left to eat.” Sally commented.

“I can help you if you need it.” He offered.

“I told you before Silas that I don’t want your money. I need to be able to afford this place on my own.” Sally stated firmly.

“Well this place is offering a special price to move in. These are brand new apartments and they are trying to fill up the building as quickly as possible.” Silas said.

“I guess it wouldn’t hurt to find out about that deal.” Sally said.

“Great, let’s go back to the rental office and see if we can get you in here.” Silas said, placing his hand on her back and guiding her to the office.

“So you say the rent is only 1,200 a month for the first year?” Sally said shocked. “How can that be, I’m paying $2,000 right now for a place that is much smaller and in a worse neighborhood.” Sally asked the rental agent.

“These apartments were just finished and the owner wants to fill them up. After a year the rent will increase though, and that may be quite a jump, depending on the owner and what he feels he can get for them.” The agent explained.

“How much of a jump?” Sally asked.

“Like I said it will depend on the owner. But maybe after you’ve paid for a year, he might be willing to work with you so that you can still afford it.”

Silas turned to her, “So what do you think?”

Sally knew she could easily afford the rent for the first year, it was less than she was paying now. “Well I guess if it is too expensive after a year I can always find another place. But I don’t have the money to move right now.” Sally said looking at Silas.

“Yes you do, I told you I would reimburse you for the money you’ve paid for the old place. Get the paperwork ready.” He told the agent.

“But what about the lease, I’ll be breaking it and they will surely make me pay a penalty. I signed a lease for a year, and they can make me pay that money for the rest of the year. I read the lease.” She whispered to Silas.

  “Don’t worry, I’ll handle it.”

“I don’t want your money though.” Sally said again.

“I’ll talk to them and perhaps we can find someone who is willing to take over your lease. As long as they make their money back, they won’t care who is living there.” Silas commented, “I won’t be spending any money, don’t worry I get that you don’t want me to pay your way.”

His words came out and he sounded a bit hurt, “You know it’s nothing personal Silas. I just don’t think you should have to pay for your employee to be safe.”

“I know Sally, it is just I haven’t come across another person like you in a long time. Someone who isn’t looking to use me as their own bank account.” Silas smiled.

He leaned over and kissed her cheek, “Thank you for being you!”

Sally was confused by him. He was so caring, and worried about her safety. Did he have more feelings for her than she had thought?

“Here are the papers, you just need to sign here and here. Did you like the unit you saw, or would you like a larger apartment?” The agent asked.

“Larger? No, the one I saw was plenty big for me.” Sally muttered.

“Great do you have a preference for the floor you are on?” He asked.

  “I have a choice?”

“Like I said these units are new, you’re actually our first renter.”

“In that case I think I’ll take the top floor.” Sally stated. She knew the view from the 12th floor would be almost as nice as the office view.

“Alright, let me get your keys for you.” The agent stood up and walked out of the room.

“If you want I can help you move later.” Silas offered.

Sally laughed, “I only have a suitcase and a backpack. Most of what I brought with me were clothes. I didn’t have a lot of other personal belongings.”

“Even so, I don’t mind helping you unpack. Then we can have dinner at your new place as a celebration.”

Sally could think of other ways she would like to celebrate with him. Then it popped into her mind that he might be into something she didn’t like and her excitement was tempered down.

“Okay, that sounds good. But shouldn’t we finish looking at those resumes first?” She asked.

Silas looked at his watch, “We can wait for that tomorrow. Let’s get this all fixed up first. We’ll go back to your place and I’ll talk to your landlord as you pack.”

  “Alright.” Sally said.

On the ride to her apartment Sally tried to ask him why he was worried about Jackie saying he beat her. “Silas why are you scared about this charge Jackie is bringing up against you?” She asked.

“I’ll explain more later tonight.” He commented.

Sally had to accept the answer as she could tell Silas was not about to talk about it now. “Okay.” She responded, and hoped with all her heart that Silas wasn’t who she thought he was.

  Chapter 13

Sally packed up her belongings when they got back to her apartment. She had moved several times in the past, but had never stayed only a few days in a place before moving.

As she packed she imagined the worst things he could tell her about himself, and she was quite nervous. Not only because of fear of the unknown, but how deeply she cared about him already.

He came down shortly after she had finished and told her, “He agreed to let you out of your lease, it seems he has many people who are trying to move in.”

“But is he charging me anything?” She asked.

“Just a little bit. it really isn’t bad and I think he was fair.” Silas stated.

  “How much?” She asked.

“Three months’ rent and you will not get your security deposit back.”

She let the information sink in.

He carried her things out to his car and they were off to her new place.

After they were inside, Sally sighed, “I’m very nervous Silas.” She said.

“About the rent you owe on the old place? I will pay you the deposit and the rent you’ve already paid. That will be close to the amount you need to pay him.” Silas stated.

“No not just about that, there are other things I’m nervous about.” Sally admitted.

  “Like what?” He asked.

Sally decided she might as well be completely honest with him. It was always the best policy as far as she was concerned. “I’m nervous about what you are hiding as well. I have no idea how bad it might be. Something has you scared, and because of that I’m scared too.” She stated.

He looked down at the ground, “Let’s just say it is something more embarrassing than anything. I never hurt her, if that’s what you are thinking. I only laid my hands on her when she asked me to during sex. I didn’t really like doing it, but it got her off, and I wanted to please her.” He said.

Sally hated the images that went through her mind. Thinking of Silas and Jackie having sex wasn’t anything she really wanted to think about. She wondered if he’d be bored with someone like her, someone who wasn’t even experienced enough to know what she liked yet.

“What is it?” She asked barely above a whisper. Unsure of the answer she would receive, but sure it wasn’t about him being into causing her pain.

“I used to enjoy dressing up as a woman at times. She could tell everyone about this and i
t would not be something I feel proud about at all. I don’t like it anymore, but the fact I’ve done it in the past is enough for her to use against me.”

Sally couldn’t help but laugh, “That’s all! Wow I was really nervous you would tell me something off the wall.”

Silas looked at her surprised, “You don’t see my as less of a man?”

“Of course not. Plus you said you don’t like it anymore, so why would I judge you on something in your past?” She asked.

He came to her no holding back anymore, he thought. He pushed her against the wall and lowered his mouth to hers. He tangled his tongue against hers as the kiss deepened.

His hands roamed over her curves and he heard her moan deeply as she became more excited. Silas pushed his rock hard member against her and moaned loudly. “It has been so long since I’ve been excited. I thought I had lost my ability to get hard.”

She moved her hand over his crotch and felt the huge bulge pushing out from his pants. “Doesn’t seem like you’re having any issues right now.”

He pulled back, “I know I’m not divorced yet, but I want to make love to you Sally. I have since last night when you were gazing out of the window in the office. I almost took you right then.” He whispered into her ear as he bit her neck.

She moaned loudly and pushed against his body. “I wouldn’t have allowed it Silas, though I am not going to lie to you and say the thought didn’t cross my mind. But as far as I knew you were still married and it would have been wrong to do so.” Sally said

“I know, that’s one of the reasons I held back too. I didn’t want to break my marriage vows. But Jackie saw no problem doing it. Please let me make love to you.” He whispered once more.

His deep voice made her core become moist and his kisses and touches had clouded her mind. “Yes Silas. Please make love to me.” She said.

He picked her up and carried her to the bedroom, kissing her the whole way. “Thank god this place comes furnished,” he said as he lowered her unto the bed.

Pushing her dress up, he placed his hands on the sides of her panties, lowered them to the ground and tossed them to the side.
