Say Something...

“Yeah, Dad, I’m just going to clean up here.” She continues her conversation while I slide my hand into the front of her panties. I want to see if she’s just as affected. She jumps a little causing her ass to rub against me. I bury my face in her neck to muffle my moan. She’s wet, just as I suspected.
“Fuck . . .” I hiss.
“No, Dad, that was the TV. No one is here. I’m going to let you go so I can get ready. Okay . . . okay . . . bye.” She hits end and rolls her head back onto my shoulder.
“Wha . . . what are you doing? My . . . my dad heard you. Hmmmm . . .” She’s grinding her hips as I work my fingers over her swollen clit.
“Just getting a head start on our goodbye,” I murmur. She reaches back, wrapping her hand around my neck and continues to ride my hand. I crash my mouth onto hers, devouring every moan.
“Come for me, baby,” I whisper across her lips.
“I’m close . . . don’t stop . . . please . . . please.” I use my other hand to bring her hard nipple between my fingers and gently rub. Her knees buckle, and she lets go.
“Mmmm . . . I can watch you do that all day.” She braces herself on the counter trying to catch her breath. I spin her around and bring her into my chest. Her eyes are closed and she’s trying to steady her breathing. I bring my forehead to hers.
“You okay?”
She nods. ”Mmhmm”
“I should go,” I say not wanting to. I’m so whipped. She looks up and slides her hand over my straining bulge.
“What about you?”
I suck in a breath. ”I’m fine . . . yo-you need to get ready.”
“I have a few minutes,” she breathes into my ear. Fuck it. Before she has time to react, I have her panties off and I’m setting her on the counter. I pull a condom out of my pocket, put it on in record time, and bury myself balls deep. We both let out a loud groan.
“Fuck . . . Ari.” She wraps her legs around me as I pump into her. She already had me worked up so it’s no surprise I’m close to the edge. She brings my earlobe into her mouth and sucks, and that’s all it takes.
“Aww . . . shit . . . fuck . . .” My knees almost give out from under me.
She holds my shoulders to keep me steady and starts to giggle. “Well, this was an interesting use of counter space.”
I smile. “Yeah, I’m all for multi-purpose.” I kiss her softly and pull out with a groan. “I should let you get ready.”
She frowns and nods her head. “Yeah, they’re kind of waiting for me.” She hops off the counter and grabs her underwear. I turn away and head to the bedroom to get the rest of my stuff. Watching her put those panties back on will only make me want her again. I need to get back my self-control. I’m like a fat guy at a buffet. I can’t get enough.
She stays in the living room; probably sensing what would happen if she followed me. We haven’t been able to keep our hands off each other. Knowing she’s just as affected is a turn on.
I get to the living room, and she’s standing by the window looking pensive. I walk over and bring her hand to my mouth pressing a small kiss to the back of it.
“You okay?”
She gives me a smile that doesn’t reach her eyes. “Yeah, I’m good.” She walks us over to the door. A wave of panic comes over me. I have to convince her that she’s different. She’s probably heard an earful from Vonne about me. I need her to trust me.
“Hey.” She stops and turns to look at me. Those piercing hazel green eyes knock the wind right out of me. I forget my pride and decide to lay it out for her.
“I want to see you again.” Her eyes widen. “A lot more. Not just this.” I wave a hand between us. “I want us to go out. I . . . I want.” This girl has turned me into a bumbling idiot.
“What about the others?” She asks crossing her arms across her chest. “What about Maria?” she asks. Fuck. She’s heard more than I thought.
“Maria and I aren’t together. It’s been just a casual thing.”
“Does she know that?” She shakes her head and puts her hand up to stop me from answering. “Don’t answer that. I shouldn’t have asked. You don’t have to make any promises to me, Ben. I had a lot of fun. Maybe more than I’d like to admit. Let’s just leave it that.” I can see by the expression on her face that she’s laying those bricks up.
“What if I don’t want to just leave it at that?” I ask.
Her eyes meet mine. She studies them, looking for the truth. “What do you want?”
I haven’t asked myself that question. What do I want? I know the thought of walking out this door and never seeing her again scares the crap out of me. One word keeps repeating itself in my head. It’s the only word I can think of that will sum up everything I’m feeling right now.
“More.”
I take a step forward pull her into my chest and press a kiss to her lips. Her demeanor seems to soften a bit. Anything that comes out of my mouth at this point will be just words. I’ll have to show her. Well, challenge accepted. She’s ruined me for anyone else anyway.
“Can I call you later?”
“Yeah,” she whispers.
“Will you text me when you get home?” She looks up and smiles shyly. This time it does reach her eyes as she nods. I lean in and give her another quick kiss. She opens the door.
“Cool, I’ll talk to you tonight.”
“Okay.” She gives me a small wave, and I head to my car.
ARI
I sag against the door. I’m sore in places I couldn’t possibly imagine. I rub my fingers over my mouth and grin. My lips feel fuller, and I’m scared to even look in the mirror. We ravaged each other for hours, and it was not enough to satiate the hunger I have for him. He’s unleashed this beast, and I’m fighting to put her back in her cage.
He wants to see me again. I tried not to look shocked, but how could I not. As much as I was hoping that this wouldn’t be our last time together, I never expected him to feel the same. He wants to see me again. A lot, he used the words a lot. What the hell? I don’t want to overthink it. I’ll take it day by day and try not to get all hearts and flowers over it. I can do that. I’ll play it cool and see what happens. I won’t fall for him; I can’t fall for him. Keep telling yourself that.
I walk back into my kitchen to grab my phone before I get in the shower. Holy shit. I have fifteen missed calls and ten unread text messages. Five calls are from my parents, and the rest are from Vonne. I start to open up the text messages when my phone starts to vibrate in my hand. Vonne’s face stares back at me. Shit, she’s gonna flip. I stare at it for a beat debating whether or not to let it go to voicemail. Dammit.
“Hello,” I answer nervously.
“You little slore. Why haven’t you answered any of my calls or texts?”
“I . . . um . . .” I fumble.
“I thought you were dead then I ran into one of the guys from the fraternity and it turns out Ben was missing all day and night, too. Hmm . . . You have any idea what could have happened to him?” I let out a nervous laugh.
“I texted him, and he asked me to brunch. I didn’t get a chance to text you because he wanted to pick me up within the hour.”
“Eeeeep. Holy shit, Ari. Are you serious? So, then what happened? Don’t leave anything out. I’m dying over here.” I take a deep breath.
“So, he came to pick me up. He looked frickin’ hot, of course. We went to brunch and a movie. We couldn’t keep our hands off each other. It was embarrassing how much I wanted to jump his bones in that movie theater. Anyway, it was still pretty early so I asked if he wanted to hang out at the apartment. I don’t know where I got the balls; I was like a different person.”
“Oh, my God. You didn’t? Holy shit, you did. I’ll shut up now. Finish. Finish.”
“So we get back here and my hands were shaking so damn bad he had to take the keys from me to open the door.” She starts laughing.
“Sorry . . . sorry. Finish.”
“We get inside and I start to overthink
everything like the freak that I am. He must have sensed it because he had me spun around and pinned to my door.”
“Shut up. So?”
“So we’ve been at each other since yesterday afternoon, and he just left.”
“WHAAAATTT? I created a monster. Holy hell. I swear I’d high five you if I was there.” I laugh.
“So, what now? How did you guys leave things? Is that it? I have to tell you, I’m shocked. He’s a wham bam thank you ma’am kind of guy. No offense, but from what I’ve heard, he doesn’t do the sleepover thing.” I tense at that statement. I mean I knew all about his reputation before I did anything but having it confirmed is hard to hear.
“Well, he said he wants to see me again. He used the words a lot. He said that he wanted more than what happened between us.”
Silence . . .
“Hello?”
“Sorry. I’m speechless. Fucking speechless right now.”
“He asked me to text him when I got home tonight.”
“You might have just tamed the untamable. I’m in awe of you right now, Arely Muñoz.”
“Wow, you used my full name and everything. I must have impressed you.” We both laugh.
“I know you’re already overthinking this. So what are you going to do?” She’s right. She knows me so well she’ll see through any bullshit answer.
“I’m not going to lie, I’m scared. I could see myself falling for him. I feel different with him. He makes me nervous as hell, but he knows what to do to calm me. It’s like he can sense when I’m getting nervous or too inside my head.”
“I’d be lying if I didn’t think you should keep your guard up a little. It sounds like he wants to be different. Let his actions speak for themselves and see how this plays out.” That’s why we’re friends. She tells me like it is and I usually agree.
“Did you ask him about Maria?” Ugh . . . I shouldn’t be jealous but hearing her name is like having a bucket of ice-cold water thrown over me.
“I started to but I decided to leave it alone. I told him he didn’t have to make me any promises.”
“Wow . . . just . . . wow.” She pauses. “I can’t wait to see how this plays out. I’ll keep my eyes open for you and you better answer your damn phone next time I call you. I know where you live.”
I laugh. “Yes, boss. I hate to break up this little chat, but I need to get my ass in the shower. I was supposed to leave for my parents about thirty minutes ago. My dad called while Ben was still here, but I’ll have to leave those details for another time.”
“What? Oh, you can’t tell me that and leave me hanging.”
“Bye, love you!”
“Ari. . . . Ari . . .”
I press end and smile. A few seconds later my phone dings.
Vonne: Bitch!!! :(
I pull up to my parents’ house and take one last glance in the mirror. My lips are still a little swollen from my twenty-four hour sexapalooza. I have a stupid grin on my face, and my stomach starts to flutter just thinking about him. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about him. I don’t know how I’m going to make it through the day without my family noticing.
I get out of the car and walk up the driveway. It’s my family home, but I knock before walking in to alert them that I’m here.
“Mom,” I yell out.
“In here, mija.”
I walk into the kitchen, and my mom is standing at the sink washing dishes.
“Hey Mom, sorry I’m late.” I go over and give her a hug and kiss on the cheek.
“Are you hungry? Your dad made chorizo and egg burritos.”
“I’m starving. Where are they?”
“I just put them in the fridge. They may need to be warmed up.”
I fix my plate and put it in the microwave. “So, where is everybody? It’s quiet,” I ask.
“Your dad got tired of waiting for you, so he and Amelie took off to the store. Alba is still asleep.” I shake my head.
“That girl can sleep for days.”
“I heard that.” I turn around as my little sister walks into the kitchen. Her hair looks like a rat’s nest, and she’s rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.
“So, it’s true.”
“Shut up, you old lady. Don’t be mad at me because you can’t sleep past six even on your days off.” I smile to myself. Today was the first time I’ve slept in, in years.
“That’s what I thought.”
I narrow my eyes at her. “Smartass.”
“Better than being a dumbass,” she retorts smugly.
The microwave beeps and I walk over to pull out my burrito. I set it on the counter and cut it in half. Before I have a chance to blink, Alba snatches half and takes a bite. “Hey.”
“I’m helping you. Think of how many Zumba classes it’ll take to work the whole thing off,” she says smacking my ass.
I pour us some juice and sit down next to her. ”Here, brat.”
“Thanks sissy, love you.” My mom walks over, cup of coffee in hand, and sits with us.
“So, what have you been up to, mija? Have you met anyone?” She asks the same questions every Sunday. My parents have been together since high school. I’m the only one out of my sisters who hasn’t dated. She was crushed when things with Rudy ended.
“No.”
My eyebrow is my tell when I’m lying. It betrays me and shoots up to my hairline and the grin I haven’t been able to wipe off my face every time I think of him creeps back.
“Liar.” My sister tosses her napkin at my head.
“It’s nothing . . . I mean no one,” I say laughing nervously. My mom and sister lean in closer.
“If he’s no one, mija, why is your face red?”
“Yeah and you’re getting all flustered. Spill,” my sister screeches.
“Ugh . . . Fine. It’s nothing really. I don’t want you two planning the wedding, okay?” They both have huge grins and nod in unison.
“His name is Ben. He was at a party that Vonne invited me to on Thursday. Anyway, he asked her about me. He met up with us on Friday night, and he took me to brunch yesterday.”
“So you’ve spent the last three days with him?” my sister asks. Her voice is laced with excitement.
“No. Thursday, I just saw him. We didn’t even talk. Look, he’s president of his fraternity, and he’s on the football team. He has girls throwing themselves at him left and right. What the heck is he going to want with me?”
My mom sits up, palms pressed to the table, looking a little pissed. “And why wouldn’t he want to be with you? You’re smart, caring, and beautiful. You’re better than any of those little hoochies who are probably throwing themselves at him.”
“She’s right, Rely. You always do that. He’s an idiot if he doesn’t see that in you.”
“Thanks, guys. It’s just new, and I don’t want to jinx it. We had fun; he’s nice and funny and I can be myself around him. I’ll just see where it goes, okay?”
They both smile and nod. I hear the side door open and my dad and Amelie walk in with a handful of groceries in tow. “Hey, Rely’s here,” he announces to no one in particular, the nut.
My sister, Amelie, had a hard time saying my name when she was little. She started calling me Rely and it stuck. I get out of my chair and help them with the bags. “Hey, Dad.” He pulls me into a hug and kisses my cheek.
“We waited for you, mija, but you took too long. You know how crazy it gets the later you go.” We make a monthly trip to Costco. He’s right; Sundays are crazy the later you go. I like to stock up on the essentials and try out the samples. It’s our thing.
“Yeah, sorry Dad. It’s been a crazy week, and I slept in.”
“Hmmm . . . It didn’t have anything to do with your hot date last night Rely?” Alba asks with a mischievous grin. The brat.
“What hot date? Did he spend the night? I thought I heard a man’s voice when I called.” Oh shit. My parents have always been very lenient with us. I’m an adult, but I’m still his littl
e girl. He doesn’t want or need to know about any guy spending the night.
“What?” my sisters say in unison. “You heard a guy, Dad?” they ask. My face is turning every shade of red. I’m standing there dumbfounded shaking my head.
“It was the TV, Dad, I told you.”
“Yeah right, the TV. I need the deets,” Amelie chimes in.
“I can’t hear this. I don’t want to know. Were you at least careful? I’m too young to be a grandpa.”
“DAD.” I think I just died.
“Alberto, leave her alone. She’s not an idiot. She’s an adult. She can make her own decisions and that’s her business,” my mom interjects. My sisters are laughing hysterically, and I don’t know where to run. My dad doesn’t say anything else. He turns around and goes back to the car to finish unloading.
“Thanks a lot,” I yell at Alba.
“Hey, I wasn’t the one still doing the nasty when Dad called.” Oh, my God.
“Eeew . . . you so were, weren’t you? That’s why you wouldn’t answer,” she asks.
“Enough,” my mom shouts. “Leave your sister alone. Sheesh. Poor girl goes on one date and you guys gang up on her.”
“Thanks, Mom.”
“Hey, I didn’t say anything. I still want details,” Amelie says. I don’t get the chance to speak before Alba beats me to it.
“So, Rely went to a party with Vonne and met this hot USC football player.”
“I never said he was hot,” I tell her.
“You had a stupid grin on your face when you talked about him, and he’s a damn football player. He has to be hot.” I swear sometimes if she wasn’t my sister. “So, is he?” she asks. I shake my head, and I can’t even answer. My face is turning the color of a flaming hot Cheetos. “See, look at her. I knew he was hot.”
“Who’s hot?” my dad says walking back into the kitchen. “I have the air on.”
“Ari is!” my sisters say in unison pointing at me. My dad looks at me confused. They break into hysterics, and my mom and I can’t help but join them. My poor dad.
