Protector (The Full-Blood Book 1)

“Hmm,” I said to him.
“A good hmm?” he asked.
“Yeah,” I answered and kissed his brow.
“Good. Can we do it again?” he softly asked me when he looked into my eyes.
“Now?” My eyes went wide.
“No,” he chuckled, “another time.” I relaxed in his arms. “Many times,” he added, and I nodded. He moved off of me, pulling out of me, and I missed him immediately. He pulled me up the bed and laid down next to me.
“Did I hurt you?” he asked me, while his hand slowly trailed over my stomach.
“No.” It was true, it did hurt a little, just not enough to mention. He had made it perfect.
“It was perfect,” I said my last thought out loud. This earned me the biggest smile I had ever seen on his face.
“Are you going to tell me everything now?” he asked. For a second, I was taken back with that. Then I laughed.
“No.” And I snuggled against him, my back against his chest and my head on his arm. I closed my eyes. “Like I said, you could try.”
I felt the rumble of his laugh, and I smiled.
“Maybe I should try harder next time.”
“Yeah, maybe,” I said and yawned.
“Go to sleep, sweetheart. Rest.” He pulled me even closer and pulled the sheets over us. I fell asleep in moments, content and happy.

Averey
Her breathing was soft against my skin, her face serene, and her hair splayed out over the cushion. I trailed my fingers over her arm, slowly moving towards her shoulders and her back. She hadn’t stirred yet, only the goosebumps showed me that she was starting to wake. I moved to her back, slowly moving down. I had been hard the moment I had felt her soft breath against my chest, her warm body pressed against mine, and her heartbeat softly thumping against my chest.
It was heavenly, waking up like this. She was my bonded, my Natural Bonded. She belonged to me, to us, and it was the best feeling ever. That strong, stubborn woman belonged to us. And the sex, my cock twitched with the memory of it. How she had sucked me, moaned, and teased me, she had tasted amazing; she was heaven.
“Stop poking me,” she murmured against my chest, her voice soft from sleep.
I chuckled at that. “Sorry, sweetheart. Can’t help it when a goddess lays naked next to me.” I kissed the top of her head, breathing her in. She smelled like me, sweat, and sex, and her own soft smell of summers on a beach. She pushed away a little, and I had to stop myself from pulling her back. She looked into my eyes, and I was lost in hers, the brown was surrounded by this honey-gold circle and was full of emotions. She had never really showed emotions on her face, except in her eyes. Those were the windows into her soul. She was looking at me then, as if she could look right into mine.
“About last night,” she started. It totally surprised me, and I had to stop myself from pulling away. She regretted it, it wasn’t something easy, losing your virginity.
“It was amazing.” She breathed out, her cheeks turning red. She looked even better that way, her eyes downcast a little and her mouth a little open. I let go of the breath I was holding.
“But I will not tell you more of what happened on the roof.” Her eyes were hard and defiant.
I nodded at her. “That is fine.” She would tell me when she was ready, still, I said after it, “I like making you.” And I kissed her on the lips. They parted for me, and a soft sigh escaped them. We kissed for some time, our limbs entangled, and our breathing started to pick up. Her hands stroked my back, and her breasts were pressed against my chest. I hated what I would be doing next.
I pulled back a little. “I need to go.” I could feel her freeze before she asked.
“Why?”
“Sweetheart, I have a ball to organize.”
She relaxed in my arms. I kissed her again and moved out of bed.
“Averey,” she said before I was fully dressed and out of the door.
“Yes?” I turned and looked at her; that goddess, half-covered in the sheets, her nipples hard and her breasts teasing me, one leg from under the covers pulled up and her arms under her head she lay there, looking at me. I felt myself harden again, the inner battle to crawl back into bed was hard, and I would have lost it, if not for what she had said next.
Isadora
“Thank you,” I said to him, he stood there with his shirt in his hands. His eyes moved over my body, I knew what I must have looked like. And I felt feminine in that moment, how his eyes heated up more and more, they heated me up. I really meant it.
“Don’t leave me,” I said softly, I kept my hands from wringing under my head.
I saw him deflate. “Sweetheart, I never would. You are my heart.” Before he moved closer, the door opened in the other room, and Flynn stepped into my bedroom. His eyes landed on me, and if I thought I had known how lust looked, I was wrong. The lust that filled Flynn’s eyes had my breath stopping and my heart skipping a beat. I wanted to be ashamed, for him finding me there, with Averey still half naked, but I couldn’t, not with the heat that filled his eyes.
Averey made a low sound in his throat that snapped me and Flynn out of it.
“The council called,” Flynn said to Averey, still his eyes were on me, his hands were fisted next to his body. I could see the bulge in his pants, it made me lick my lips.
“They want a meeting.” His voice rumbled over me, and I wanted to moan just at the sound of his voice.
“Sorry, sweetheart. We have to go. Another time?” Averey said, which pulled my eyes to him, he winked and placed a hand on Flynn’s chest to push him back. “Come on, Flynn, next time, we'll share,” he told the other King, and I sucked in a breath, my nipples hardened even more at the idea of having them both.
Flynn kept looking at me when he said, “Soon.” He then turned around and walked away with Averey.
I was left alone in the room, which had turned colder instantly. I sighed and pulled up the sheets, then laid there, watching the ceiling. A tingle interrupted my thoughts, and I looked around, finding Mara standing next to my bed.
“Hi, Hunny bear,” I said to her and smiled. I pulled the sheets higher and sat up.
“I found something,” she blurted out.
“Tell me.” I moved towards her, holding the sheets close to my body.
“My uncle, he is collecting magical beings. Not only Witches, also Elementals,” she started, her hands holding on to the fabric of her pants.
“Do you know what for?”
She nodded her head, “He drains them.”
I kept looking at her, waiting for more. “To do what?” I asked her when nothing came.
She looked over her shoulder, and when she looked back at me her eyes were wide.
“I don’t know, something big.” She looked again over her shoulder. I followed her line of sight, except seeing nothing.
“I have to go, something is hunting me. I need to go, I need to hide.” Her wide brown eyes looked at me, and a chill ran up my spine with the fear I saw in her eyes. “Go,” I mouthed to her, and she vanished.
I kept staring at the spot where Mara had been, wondering what Nox must have been planning. All kinds of scenarios ran through my head. It was quickly giving me a headache, and I pressed my palms into my eyes.
“Shower first,” I said to myself and got up, the sheet falling down my body as I made my way towards the shower. When the hot water trailed over my skin, I closed my eyes, and a plan started to form in my head. I needed Banu and the others for it. It would be the first thing I’d do before anything else. I moved out of the shower, dried myself, and put on my clothing. I strapped my swords and other weapons onto my body and moved towards the hallway.
That time, there were no other Witches there, and I breathed out a sigh of relief.
“They are in the ballroom,” someone next to me said. I looked over finding Liv standing at the door of the Kings’ Quarters.
“Who?” I asked her.
“The
other Witches. They are practicing dancing. One of them found out the Kings like to dance, so the Witches are trying to win their hearts with that. Or their cocks, not sure which one they wanted first.” Liv chuckled at that.
I smiled at her.
“I’m looking for the three Protectors who came to the Castle yesterday.”
“You mean the blonde happy girl, the short-haired serious lady, and the silent one?”
I chuckled at that. “Yeah, those three.”
“The blonde one and the silent one, they are training with the Chief, and the other, not sure.” Liv looked around. Almost as if Banu was hiding behind a curtain and would jump out and yell ‘surprise’.
“It’s okay, I will find her.” I told Liv and moved towards the main entrance. There were people walking in and out of the big doors, carrying flowers and other things into the ballroom. I hadn't seen any of the Kings there, which made me a little relieved. I was still a little sour after Averey, and I don’t know how I would react if the other two saw me then. It was hot and bad enough to have Flynn walking in on us, and we weren’t even doing something then.
I looked down from the balcony, my mind wandering to the evening before. How his hands had felt against my skin, his tongue teasing me, and his cock that had slowly entered me. I sighed a little and opened my eyes to look down again.
I moved down the stairs and walked towards the ballroom. The other Witches were dancing in a corner of the room. Swirling around, their dresses moving around their legs. I hoped I wouldn’t have to dance, I was not made for that. I moved away before they noticed me. I didn’t want a repeat of last night. Okay, not of them and me. Averey and me, hell yes, and Flynn, yes him, too. Oh, and Cian and Rayan. My mind was too occupied to keep track of my surroundings. I almost walked into someone, holding a vase of flowers.
“Sorry,” I mumbled and moved on. Something made me turn around to look, seeing a glimpse of short black hair. I moved after it, merely to lose the person in the group of other servants. I kept looking around me, trying to find the person. There was something about that person that had triggered me. It had me on high alert, and I needed to find him. Figure out why I was reacting like that.
“What are you doing here?” I heard and looked at the voice, totally forgetting the black hair, I rolled my eyes and flipped them off when I walked out of the ballroom. I didn’t have time for those Witches, I needed to find Banu. Even more so then.
I walked towards the throne room, hoping she would be there. It was filled with other Protectors, just not Banu. Moving towards the servant’s side of the castle, I walked into the Kitchen, there was a chance she would be there. Banu liked food as much as I did.
“Hello, girl,” the cook greeted me.
“Hi. Did you see Banu?” I asked him, while I looked around.
“Who do you mean?” he asked me while he kept stirring in a big, amazingly good-smelling, pot.
“This other protector, my height, short hair and always serious-looking.”
He chuckled at that. “I think I know who you meant, she was in here earlier. Took some food with her and left.”
“Do you know where to?” I asked him, he shook his head.
“Thanks,” I said.
“Girl, take some bread with you.” The cook motioned towards the table, filled with bread and other foods. I looked at it, my stomach agreed with the cook.
“Maybe I’ll just eat first,” I said, while I rubbed my stomach. Averey and I had slept in late, missing breakfast and almost lunch. He laughed and his belly shook. “You do that, girl, eat as much as you want.”
I sat down and started to eat. The kitchen was busy, people came in and out, some carrying empty plates, others supplies. I thanked the cook when I was done and made my way out of the kitchen. When I was in the hallway, I looked to the left and right, contemplating where to go next.
I needed to find Banu, we needed to discuss what to do about the ball and the plan Icas Nox was forming. I needed her and the girls to keep Astra safe, he had taken her once. Maybe he would try again.
There was one thing that kept bugging me. He wanted to have powerful witches and take their magic, draining them dry. Why go for Astra and not me? He must have known that I was more than I looked?
I shook my head, I needed to find Banu. With what had happened on the roof, that guy had snuck into the Castle without a problem. Who was to say he wouldn't do it again? The glimpse of black hair behind flowers came into my mind again.
“Purple pancakes,” I grumbled out, I looked at the door that would lead towards the main hall. I knew who that guy was, the one who had attacked me. And I knew I would never find him again, he would have recognized me. I moved towards the wall next to the kitchen door, I needed to focus, I needed to find Banu. I closed my eyes and set my magic out, searching for her. I had lived with her for years in the same school, I knew how she felt. I skimmed the people around me, touching the cook and the servants. I moved further throughout the castle, finding the Kings in their office. I lingered on them, loving the feel of their magic. It entwined with mine, and it took me a moment to push further. Finding the Witches in the ballroom, I didn’t linger on them. I moved through the whole castle, only to end up at the swimming pool where Rayan had taken me and Astra. I could feel them both there. I pushed myself off of the wall and moved towards the training rooms where I had felt the other two.
Walking in, I immediately found DeeDee and Lena, I approached them.
“Girls, meet me in thirty minutes, my room.” They nodded and went on with their training. There were a few other Protectors training. I guessed that the rest were on duty. I moved towards the doors, heading outside, the sun was high then. Which made me aware of the time, and I grumbled at Averey for letting us sleep this long.
I walked over the terrain and moved towards the pool house that stood near the wall. There was one Protector at the door that time. He mumbled chief when he saw me coming, and I nodded at him and moved to open the door. There was nobody in the pool, so they should have been in the dressing rooms. I moved towards them. A soft noise reached me, my hand on the door. Before I could push it open the noise came again. It hadn't sounded like someone was in distress.
I pushed the door open. My mouth hung open at what I had found.
Banu, with her hands in Astra’s hair and their mouths locked into a passionate kiss. They hadn’t noticed me, and I was not sure what to do right then. Astra’s hands moved down Banu’s body, and I noticed they both were in swimming clothing, leaving a lot of skin to be touched.
“Um.” I cleared my throat when I saw Banu’s hands moving towards Astra's swimming top. I loved Astra, had seen her boobs more times then I could count, but I didn't really want to see them like that. They both jumped back, panting, and they looked at me. When Astra had registered it was me, her face had turned a deep shade of red.
“Don’t worry, girl,” I said to her and gave her a wink. “I’m happy for you both.” I looked over at Banu who just looked at the ground, not meeting my eyes.
“Banu,” I said softly and moved towards her. “It is okay, I’m really happy for you both.” I held her shoulder and shook her a little.
“You aren’t mad?” she asked me.
“Why would I be?” I was genuinely shocked to hear her asking me that.
“I know how people look at me, how they reacted when they knew I liked women.” She looked at me, her eyes filled with tears.
“Banu, I will never look at you differently, I never have and will not start now. I’m happy that Astra finally came out to me, and found you.” I gave her a cheeky smile and squeezed her shoulder. “Only, we need to talk.” I looked at them both. “Meet me in thirty minutes in my room. There are some things you girls need to know.” I moved away, and before I went out of the door I shouted, “I am truly happy for you both!” I closed the door behind me and walked towards my room.

DeeDee and Lena were already in my room when I walked in. They l
ounged on the sofas.
“Hi, girls,” I said and sat down next to them.
“You found Banu?” DeeDee asked me. I nodded at her, and they started talking about the training they were doing with the Chiefs of the castle, while we waited for the rest.
“We learned a lot of new stuff, and the other Protectors are really helping us out,” DeeDee started.
“We never thought they would be this nice,” Lena added to it.
“What do you mean?” I asked them. Normally, Protectors were nice towards each other.
“We heard stories about working in the castle. That it was this hard place, where you needed to prove yourself constantly. And if you wanted to become chief it would be impossible,” DeeDee said.
“That’s why we never really wanted to go here,” Lena added.
“We don’t like the whole hierarchy thing, that you need to be better to receive a better position. Only, it isn’t like that. They all work hard, and they help each other out.”
I looked at them both. “Where did you get that information? That working here sucked?” I asked them, worried about it.
“There are rumours going around the school, I thought you would have heard of it, too,” Lena said, she pulled out her ponytail holder, her long brown hair falling down, before she shook it all loose.
“No. Haven’t heard of it. I wasn’t really planning on ending up here, you know?” I winked at her. We ended up talking about some of the male Protectors before Banu and Astra came walking in. I looked at them and gave them a wink, teasing them a little. Astra just stuck out her tongue, and Banu looked at the floor, I saw her cheeks turn a soft pink.
