“Damn,” I say, “you’re incredibly thick.”

He smiles shyly as I take off everything else; too many of my clothes in the way for this. I bend down, my lips seeking out his swollen, bulging tip. I encase it with my mouth, running my tongue gently up and down as he moans quietly. I can feel the warm droplets of cum seeping from it, spilling over my tongue as I swallow the rest of his shaft. I move my lips over him, tightening them just right as I gently suck on his cock.

I can tell he loves it, but I don’t want him to go over just yet. I just wanted to get a little taste. I inch my hips over his waist, grabbing his dick and teasing him by rubbing it against my clit, just barely inching the tip inside of me.

“Stop, please,” he begs. “Just give me all of it.” I don’t want to be too cruel, so I gradually slide him into me, taking all of him in. It’s almost too much, and I’m worried I can’t fit it all in at once. But he sits up, grinding himself further into me until he’s deep inside me, warmth dripping between my legs as he slides carefully in and out.

He pulls my hips into him as we grind harder against each other. I want him to be deeper, filling me up with his massive cock.

“You’re so wet,” he moans, as he reaches behind me to grab my ass tightly, kneading me with those firm hands. His veins throb inside of me, and it takes everything for me not to finish too soon. His hands grab at everything, my waist, my tits, and my neck, until finally, he flips me over. I sit up on my knees as he wraps an arm around me, guiding his cock back inside and thrusting gently. He’s hitting just the right spots, and I moan in ecstasy as my ass slaps against his waist with each thrust.

I get on my hands and knees.

“Get rough with me,” I beg. “Make me scream.”

He listens, thrusting harder and harder, each one deeper than the last. I grab his hand and place it over my clit, letting him have full control over me. I cry out his name, thankful that the door’s closed. He moans, louder, and I can tell he’s close, but not as close as I am. Finally, the pleasure is too intense, and I can feel myself going over the edge, and an enormous wave of passion and ecstasy washes over me as I climax, warmth seeping from my lips as I can feel myself contracting while Raeden makes me scream. This is too much for him, and soon I can feel him tightening inside of me. I flip back over and he pulls out, coating my tits as he finishes, saying my name over and over, his face overcome with pleasure.

As we catch our breath, he looks almost shocked, but satisfied. We collapse on the carpeted floor together, looking out at the endless sea of space in front of us.

First time, huh?” I ask, skeptical.

He laughs. “Guess I kind of figured it out, didn’t I?” He asks.

I nudge him playfully before lying back down, relishing this perfect encounter, taking in the beautiful sight of the aurora, hearing Raeden’s breath and feeling it against my ear as he cuddles up closer to me. I’ve never felt anything like this before.

“So,” Raeden says, breaking our blissful silence. “When can we do it again?”

  CHAPTER 7: BETRAYAL

  ALEX

My mind has been spinning since my encounter with Raeden, the other night. I can barely focus on my training or anything else. I’ve never experienced love before, but something tells me that this might be it, fingers crossed of course. After spending time with Raeden, and understanding his hardships in the Krillux army, I decided that I needed to talk to Dad about the drop-off, that’s happening tomorrow. I don’t like knowing how poorly these people have been treated, especially if they’ve agreed to help us. I’m also planning on bringing up Cal, and how he corned Raeden in the showers. The thought of it still makes my stomach churn, and I know the next time I see Cal, it’s not going to be pretty.

It’s hard to convince my father to do anything, but I’m hoping to reason with him as I follow the narrow halls to the bridge. When I enter, I find that Dad isn’t sitting in his usual seat by the large window. Instead, I see that he’s back in his meeting room, but this time he’s alone. I creep towards the room, looking out for Cal. Luckily he’s out doing something else, so I’m free to step into the meeting room without being bothered.

I open the door quietly and peek my head in. Dad’s back is turned, and he’s looking at a monitor in front of him, another holographic meeting, I assume. Something’s not right though. He’s talking quietly, as if he’s hiding something. Again, I can’t recognize the official on the screen, and I wonder if he’s even with the government in the first place. He’s not even wearing the traditional uniforms that the other Space Resource Program officers wear.

“Are you sure they’ve signed it?” The man on the hologram asks. “I’m sending the files over to you now,” my father says.

“Excellent, then we’ll plan our attack as usual,” says the hologram. Wait, an attack? Something shady is definitely happening here.

I duck behind one of the server protectors, a large black box, and listen in more closely. On the screen, I can see a circle on a map of Ventra. My eyes widen as I see the circle clearly reads “Strike Zone” in bold red letters.

“Once the Krillux have been dealt with, and the mineral mines are more exposed, we can cut down on extraction time, and will be able to provide your company with the Krillux’s share,” Dad says to the screen.

“I understand some of your commanders would not comply with this idea,” the man on the screen says.

“Nothing to worry about,” Dad says. “We’ve managed to convince them, once they saw their paychecks.”

“Excellent,” says the man. “I’ll be meeting with you on the third Ventran moon about a week after your strike. Bring all that you can carry.” He smiles, his face cruel and scheming. “I can assure you, there’ll be more than enough for your company, and enough for the United States military.”

I shrink down to the floor, staying hidden. My heart races as I try to process all of this new information. They’re going to send the Krillux down first, to clear out the Ventrans from the mines or their villages, and then surprise them all with a missile strike. I don’t know who that mystery man was, but I can only assume my father negotiated some kind of strange trade with him for military fame and money. He’d be giving the mineral to the military for weapons, not for sustainable energy like we had promised the space program.

I watch as my father salutes the screen before shutting it off. He walks past the server, unaware that I’m crouched on the floor. I’ve never felt so betrayed. How could my own father put thousands of lives at risk just to cushion his wallet with extra change? This is going against everything the Cordelia’s crew signed up for, and I wasn’t going to see it come to fruition.

“I can’t believe something like this could happen,” Hali says, as she repairs a nearby monitor. I’ve met her down in the maintenance halls to tell her everything I just learned. “There has to be something you can say to your dad, right?” She asks. I shake my head, deep in thought.

“He’ll never listen to me,” I tell her. “But still, I can’t just sit around and wait for something tragic to happen, not to all those people.”

“Do the Krillux know what’s going on?” She asks.

  “I don’t think they do.”

“It’s very strange that he’d even think about negotiating other plans with an outside source,” she says, tying up several wires together. They spark and smoke under her fingers, and she shrinks back in surprise. “I think you should find Raeden,” she tells me. “He’s a Ventran, and if you bring that into your case, he might be able to make a solid defense for his planet somehow.”

She finishes her work and steps back. The monitor flashes to life. “This is serious, Alex,” she says, her voice determined. “If your father is exposed for what he’s done, then you’ll be exposed to, maybe even looked at as a suspect. You’re his daughter, but you don’t have to suffer the same fate as him. Don’t let yourself be the victim of mistakes that you didn’t make.”

  She’s right. I’m not
going to let myself take the fall for something my dad did. There’s an entire planet at stake, Raeden’s planet, and the least I can do for him is try my best to keep something horrible from happening to it. I say my goodbyes to Hali and rush through the halls to find Raeden. We were going to have to think of something fast.

I’m able to grab Raeden before they lock up the rest of the soldiers on the Krillux ship for the rest of the night. Now, he is sitting on the edge of my bed, his brow furrowed in concentration.

“This is most troubling,” he says, running his hands through his hair.

“I can’t let them do this to your home, Raeden,” I tell him as I stare out my window, watching Ventra hover below, blissfully unaware of the horrors to come.

“The only thing we can do is tell your father the truth,” Raeden says. “What do you mean? What would that be?” I ask.

“The only thing we can really tell him,” he says. “He has to know about us. That you and I are in love. You’re his daughter. That has to mean something to him, right?”

“He’ll never be convinced,” I say.

“But you did mention that there were others that were feeling conflicted about the decision?” He says. “If we can bring them onto our side, it may strengthen our argument even more.”

Part of this plan doesn’t sit well with me. In the first place, it’s forbidden for us to be together. How am I supposed to confront my father about this? Especially trying to convince him how much I love someone that he would certainly not agree with. It’s a risky suggestion, but at this point there isn’t much that we can do, other than work together to confront him. My mind comes up with another suggestion.

“What if we gather up the files I saw today, and forward them to the space program?” I say. “Then we can inform them that my dad is planning a side job and they can take it from there.”

Raeden agrees with this plan, but we’re hindered by the fact that the bridge is heavily secured, even for me, during the night. Probably to prevent plans like this from being carried out. We decide that we’ll carry out this plan tomorrow, first thing when we wake up. The bridge’s crew will all be having their first meal of the day, which will make the bridge more open.

My mind is swirling right now. So much has happened in such a short amount of time, and I feel barely prepared for any of it. Soon, I can feel Raeden’s warmth as he wraps his arms around me.

“There’s no use worrying about it tonight,” he whispers. “We’ll go tomorrow and talk to him, before the landing on Ventra.” He kisses my shoulder softly. He’s right. Everyone on the ship is asleep right now, and there’s not much else we can do until tomorrow.

I let myself relax in his arms, as he rubs my shoulders, moving his hands gradually towards my breasts. His breath is warm as he kisses my neck and nuzzles my ear. “Let's go to sleep,” he suggests, even though I know he doesn’t mean sleep.

  CHAPTER 8: THE ATTACK

  RAEDEN

I was having the most wonderful dream, only to wake and find that it wasn’t a dream at all. Alex sleeps soundly, her body soft as she breathes gently beside me. I pull the covers closer over us and breathe her in. She has this beautiful flowery smell about her, mixed with a charming hint of mechanical oil from the jobs she does around the ship. I’m about to drift back to sleep, when suddenly we’re jolted awake to a banging on the door.

Alex, disoriented, tears off the covers and throws on some clothes.

“What’s going on?” I ask. She shakes her head, unsure.

“Here,” she says, throwing me my clothes. I frantically change into them, and I barely have enough time before the door is thrown open, and several officials step inside.

“What the hell is going on?” Alex demands, but she’s grabbed by one of the officers. “Don’t touch me,” she shouts, trying to wiggle free from their grasp. “Don’t you know who I am?”

Before I can process what’s happening, I’m ripped from the bed and thrown face-first onto the ground. “Stop! You’re hurting him!” Alex cries. One of the officers steps forward.

“By the orders of the captain of the starship Cordelia, this Ventran will be taken to infantry and immediately sent to the surface of Ventra along with the rest of the Krillux army. Please, don’t make this harder than it has to be.” He says.

I look over at Alex, watching in horror as they place a pair of cuffs over my wrists.

“You can’t take him, and that’s a direct order,” Alex demands.

“Your authority is unauthorized during a mission from the space program, Ms. McKinley,” the head officer says. “We suggest you take any further complaints to the captain.” He then turns to the rest of his men as they gather around me.

“Take him to the drop-ships,” he tells them.

I’m yanked to my feet, with Alex screaming and fighting for them to stop.

“Raeden!” She cries, reaching for my hand. I try to break free from the cuffs, but it’s no use. Instead, I have no choice but to let myself be dragged into the hall. My last sight of Alex is of her running to the door, just as it closes in front of her. She bangs on it, shouting for me, and my heart breaks for the both of us. We never got to execute our plan, and I’m not sure we ever will.

When I wake up, I find myself on the floor of the Krillux’s main ship, the familiar noise and awful smell surrounding me. My chains have been taken off, and I can see that the Krillux are scrambling to prepare the drop-ships. Countless members are hovering around the entrances to the ships, suiting up, ready for what they believe is just a simple mining expedition. They’re all blissfully unaware that every single one of their lives is in danger, and I’m the only one here that knows.

In the crowd, I can see Rex putting on his helmet. I grab him by the shoulders.

“Hey! Little Mouse! Ready for the big drop-off?” He asks me. His smile suddenly fades when he sees the terror on my face. “Don’t tell me you’re going to chicken out,” he says. I look into his eyes with all seriousness.

“Rex, you have to help me tell the others,” I say. “We’re headed straight into a trap. The humans are going to extinguish us all once we reach Ventra’s surface.”

Rex ponders for a second; unsure of whether he should believe me or not. But he knows that I’m not one for pulling practical jokes. “Alright,” he says. “I’ll try my best.” We split up, trying to grab as many as we can, warning them of the impending danger we’re about to face. But most of them push me aside, laughing it off as if it’s a joke. Not all of them are as understanding as Rex.

Rex returns to me, with only a handful of soldiers willing to believe us. I tell them to get ready to leave, but it’s too late. We’re already being forced into the drop-ships. Rex gives me a terrified look as he’s pushed into a different ship to me. I look down at Ventra below us and pray that Alex is making more progress than I am.

  ALEX

I’ve reached the bridge, where I know my father is waiting to issue the command to attack. I grab him forcefully by the arm, and his security team inches closer to me to stop me. Dad holds up a hand to them.

“I have nothing to say to you,” he says.

“You have to stop the attack!” I demand. “Thousands of people are going to die because of you!” He turns away from me, looking over his screens and buttons. “You’ve betrayed me, your own daughter,” I tell him bitterly. He turns to face me.

“I think you’re the one that’s betraying me, Alex,” he says. “Fraternizing with a Ventran when you know full well he could have compromised this mission.”

“How did you know about him and me?” I ask.

“I have my sources,” he says, looking across the room. I follow his gaze, to where I see Cal seated at his desk, a knowing smirk on his face. I don’t have time to take my anger out on him right now. I have far more important things to worry about.

“Dad,” I say, trying desperately to put myself on the same level as him. He looks at me with stern eyes.

  “Captain,” he
corrects. I shrug this off.

“I’m your daughter. Surely that means something to you,” I plead. “Think about what you’re doing. Would Mom expect you to do something like this?” I know mentioning her is a soft spot for him, but instead he reacts with anger.

“Get her out of here,” he demands. The officers around him swarm me, grabbing my arms and dragging me towards the door.

“This isn’t about family, Alex,” he says. “It’s about business. Survival of the fittest.” The doors to the bridge are slammed in front of me and locked.

I bang on them until my fists ache; furious and hurt. I realize that the plan Raeden and I made wouldn’t have worked, no matter how hard we would have tried. I can feel the tears welling up in my eyes, but I wipe them away. There’s no time for tears now.

I have a planet to save.

“Here, this should be enough,” Hali says, forcing a combat helmet over my head. A bright screen turns on, showing my vitals and my communication link. The source for the link reads ‘Hali’s Comlink.’ I suddenly hear her voice inside the helmet. “All good?” She asks. I give her the thumbs up. “Phew,” she sighs. “Not bad for a rush job.”

“Thanks for the help,” I tell her. “I’m glad someone on this ship understands what’s going on.”

“I’m going to talk to everyone in maintenance and tell them what’s going on. They wouldn’t be surprised if they heard Command is up to some corrupt shit.” She says. In the meantime, keep in touch with me while you’re down there. I’ll try my best up here to keep up with your whereabouts.”

I wish there was more I could say to her, in case this whole thing doesn’t work out, but we both know there’s not enough time. Instead, we share a hug before she ushers me towards a small escape pod.
