  One minute.

  Two minutes.

Three minutes—Colt and I patiently wait. We both know it’s a matter of time until Parker finds Kelsey or vice versa.

  Four minutes.

  Five minutes.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Parker’s voice booms, laced heavy in panic with a slight tremor of anger.

“I’m unpacking, asshole, now get out of my way.”

The door slams with a loud bang. Hurried footsteps make their way toward us.

Our door is thrust open to a very upset Parker. “What. The. Fuck. Is she doing in my bathroom?”

Colt and I are lying casually on his made bed when Colt replies, “I asked them to move in. We had a spare room, so…” Colt’s sentence trails off as Parker pulls the door shut.

Well, this summer should be interesting…

  The End.

  Acknowledgements

Ohmygosh! I wrote a book. Did this really, finally happen? Yes, it did! Thanks to a lot of people believing in me. So, I will try to keep this short. Hey, calm down, I said I’d try.

First, I have to thank my number one cheerleader and giant megaphone holding best friend plus soon to be sister-n-law, Kelsey. Thank you. From brainstorming, to late night calls/text you’re always there for me. You scream from the roof tops about my book, to any and everyone. Thank you so much for all of your support. I’m lucky to have you in my life.

To my love, TJ. Thank you for always being supportive while I run with my dreams. I’ve had a million and yet, your faith in me never wavers. Thank you for loving me and understanding when all I reply to you with is, ‘book stuff’. You’ll always be my favorite rider.

Isabella Harper, where do I begin? You fuckin’ rock, but you know this. Thank you for being a hard ass and kicking me into gear. I love having a friend to bounce ideas off of and getting feedback, good or bad. I couldn’t have done this without you. You helped mold me into a better writer. You’ve also become a great friend. Thanks for everything, girl.

My cheer squad- Karina, Jamie, Shannon and Kelsey- if not one person reads my book, but you girls, it was all worth it. Your excitement over my writing helped fuel me in my weakest moments. Thank you!

Jenni Moen, well it’s been over a year since I started writing this book and you’ve read every single version. Thank you for always taking the time out to help guide me.

Naughty Nurses- You girls know who you are. Thank you for your support and listening to Kelsey and I talk endlessly about my characters. Love you ladies!

Mom, thanks for believing in me and helping back me. Granny, I promise to write a book you can show off in church one day. Thank you for always being proud of me no matter what. My great grandma Peavy was the first I told my idea to, and she had no doubt in me, in fact, she said, “If anyone can do it, I know you can.” Thank you grandma, you’re words will forever live in my heart. RIP.

I have the best family. Thank all of you for not laughing in my face when I said I was writing a book.

My book club (Crazy Ass Book Bitches), I’m so thankful for our friendships. I can’t thank each one of y’all enough for being my friend. Thanks for always believing in me.

To my awesome team of beta readers- Isabella Harper, Sarah, Kristi and Dusty -Thank you girls so much for telling me how it is and being honest. No matter if it was good or bad. THANK YOU!

To Leighton Riley- We started writing our first books together and now look at us! Thank you for helping guide me in the process of publishing and always being honest with me. I appreciate all of your help, more than you’ll ever know.

To Candis, Melanie, Laney, Monica, Jessica, Daysi, Jae and all my other team members. Thank you girls for believing in me, your enthusiasm brings a smile to my face every day.

To my readers – Thank you for taking a chance on me. I just sat down one day and decided to write, this book is the product of that. I never actually expected people would want to read it. So, again, THANK YOU! I can’t wait for you to read about Parker and Kelsey. Be prepared, it’s going to be a wild ride.

Life’s too short for awkward hugs. Always remember to laugh every chance you get and never take life too seriously. If it’s not fun, what’s the point? Laughter, that’s where the light is. <3
