She takes my glass and puts it back on the small tray on the edge of the tub, then kisses me, proving my point once more. All warm and relaxed, I sigh in complete bliss as her hands start to wander.
How could I not surrender? I love it. I made an art form of it.

There’s a new girl in book club, a colleague of Lara’s, named Cindy. “I don’t really get going crazy over the Greek God-like anatomy and piercing blue eyes, but I understand getting in the mood over the size of someone’s library,” she says, making everyone laugh.
“Yeah, Penny knows all about that,” Haley remarks dryly.
Cindy blushes. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean…I was talking about the book.”
“That’s all right,” I assure her. “I’m with you—and it’s not like we don’t appreciate the anatomy, just another type. Wow, I really hope we didn’t scare you off?”
“Are you kidding? This is awesome.”
I’m glad she thinks so, because after everything my life has become, it’s just the icing on the cake to have another lesbian in the book club to sometimes poke friendly fun at the book boyfriends. It’s all in good humor. The book addiction is what we all have in common, for compelling stories, adventures, and happy endings.
It’s where we shape our dreams, hopes, fantasies and escapes.
