You and I Together
Page 2
“What are all of these?” I ask Bentley the moment the attendant disappears inside the cock pit.
“Well this one.” He says, pointing to one of the buttons on the panel next to him. “Is the call button. The button she was referring to.” He laughs when I give him a questioning look. “This one is for your seat.” He pushes the button and his seat immediately reclines back, stopping only when he releases the button. “You can lay it all the way down like a bed or just recline it a little.” He explains, readjusting his seat into an upright position before continuing.
“This one is for the lights.” He continues, dimming and then brightening the overhead lights. “This one is for the music.” He pushes another button and a soft tune fills the space. “Or if you want to watch television.” He says, pushing the next button which makes a buzzing noise. Following his line of sight, I turn my head to the side just in time to see a large television screen lowering directly in front of the couch behind us.
“There are wireless headphones in the side of your chair so you can limit the noise of the television or music for the other people on board.” He says, powering off the music, immediately prompting my next question.
“Are more people coming?” I ask, having not really considered that a possibility.
“My assistant, Shira, and head of security, Ethan, will be joining us shortly.” He says, immediately sensing my discomfort. “Is that not okay?” He cocks his head to the side and studies me for a long moment before I finally find my words.
“Of course it is.” I reassure him, shaking my head slightly. “I just assumed it would just be us.” I say, finding an even tone.
“Trust me, if I could have you all to myself for the next four hours, I would.” His eyes dance with promise. I open my mouth to respond but immediately close it when I hear voices from outside the plane. Within seconds, a tall thin woman I would guess in her late twenties, climbs on board, dressed in an expensive ivory suit and tall heels. She is immediately followed by a man around the same age that has short blonde hair and looks like he could bench press about five of me.
Swallowing down the knot in my throat, I immediately reach for my wine and empty the contents as the two settle into their seats. The woman sitting in the seat to Bentley's left and the man to my right.
“You must be Anna.” She immediately turns to face me, tucking her brunette shoulder length hair behind her ears before leaning forward and reaching her hand out to me. “I'm Shira. It's so nice to meet you.” She says, giving me a brilliant smile that shows off a full set of perfectly straight white teeth. I want to throw her a dirty look and curse her for being so damn pretty but knowing I can't do that, I give her the friendliest smile I can muster.
“Nice to meet you.” I manage to get out. Reaching out, I shake her extended hand before sitting back in my seat again. Throwing a look towards Bentley, it takes everything I have not to roll my eyes at him. Of course he has an assistant that looks like a super model. Why wouldn't he? As if I don't have enough to feel unsure about, now I have to exist in a world where he spends most of his work hours with this beautiful woman at his side. My mind immediately starts running through the odds of them having slept together at least once, concluding almost instantly that there isn't a possibility that they haven't.
“And this impolite gentleman is Ethan.” She says, directing my attention to the man to my right. Turning, I nod a hello in his direction.
“Nice to meet you Ms. Blake.” Ethan says, his voice a deep rasp that is surprisingly the perfect match for his intimidating build. While Shira is dressed like she lives in the corporate world, Ethan is much more casual. Wearing worn jeans and a solid black t-shirt, he very much looks the part of a bar bouncer rather than the head of security for a successful business.
“You as well Ethan.” I say, flicking my eyes from him to Shira and then back to Bentley.
“You're right Bentley. She is stunning.” Shira chimes in, smiling widely at me before turning her attention to Bentley.
“She is, isn't she?” He responds, looking at me with so much adoration on his face that my current state of uncertainty all but vanishes within seconds. Smiling, I break eye contact when I feel the heat rushing to my cheeks.
“Have you two been waiting long?” She asks, pulling Bentley's attention to her.
“We just arrived. Were you able to get everything that I requested?” He asks, his business tone falling into place.
“I did.” She responds, digging into her briefcase before pulling out a thick file and handing it across the space to him. I dart my eyes between the two and then back out the window, not sure if I am supposed to be paying attention to what is going on. I don't want to seem too nosy so I decide to air on the side of caution and just let them discuss whatever they need to discuss without my prying eyes watching their every move.
Unfortunately, that doesn't stop my ears from hearing that there is most definitely something going on and not only that, but it's something Bentley is worried about. I can tell by the way her sentences flow and her words cut off that she is being cryptic on purpose. Without meaning to, I look in Bentley's direction just as his eyes dart towards me. I give him a small smile and then look back out the window, continuing to listen to the conversation as Shira continues.
“More wine?” The attendant's voice pulls my attention to the side and I smile widely at her as I hand her my empty glass, thankful that she returned as quickly as she did. Filling my glass, she offers drinks to the other two before exiting again.
The conversation continues as the plane's engine fires to life, but I am immediately distracted from everything except the feeling of the ground below us and how quickly we are gaining speed. Taking a deep breath, I hold it in as the wheels leave the safety of the ground and we climb higher into the sky.
I hear bits and pieces of Bentley's conversation with Shira and Ethan going on around me but the words are drowned out by the sound of my breathing and the thumping of my heart, something I experience every time I step foot on a plane. While I am not afraid of flying per say, taking off and landing are two things that I don't handle well.
It isn't until Bentley leans forward and rests his hand on my knee that everything seems to return to normal. As if grounding me with that one simple touch, my body immediately relaxes and I turn inward to see his sweet smile staring back at me.
“Okay?” He asks, cocking his head to the side.
“Okay.” I breathe, feeling my heart pick up speed again, only this time for an entirely different reason.

The plane ride to Washington is a blur. I doze in and out for most of the flight while Bentley seems to find not even one moment to rest. By the time we land four hours later, he seems exhausted and I feel like I have most definitely been hit by a truck. Gathering what little I brought with me, Bentley ushers me out of the plane and into the backseat of a black town car, my drowsiness not allowing me anytime to really process what is happening around me or where we are headed.
It isn't until we pull up outside of a large hotel that I even realize that Shira and Ethan are no longer with us. Too tired to question it, I follow Bentley numbly through the extravagant lobby and lean lazily against his chest as his hand works slow strokes up my back on the elevator ride up to the top floor.
“Are you hungry?” Bentley asks, tossing his phone and hotel key down on the glass table next to the door the moment we step inside.
“Just tired.” I get out through a yawn, kicking off my flip flops and then dropping my purse on the floor next to them.
“Come here.” He smiles sweetly at me and then crosses the two feet to where I am standing. Pulling me into his arms, he wraps them tightly around me and turns his face into my hair. “I'm so glad you're here.” His tone drops low as he pulls back slightly to look down at me.
“Me too.” I admit, feeling oddly out of place given how quickly things have changed between the two of us. One minute I am fighting him every step of the wa
y. The next, I am caving at his every request and allowing myself to get swept up in the fantasy that he has created for me.
“Let's get you to bed. You look exhausted.” He says, smiling a dimple filled smile as he leans down and hitches his arm underneath my legs, swooping me into his arms with next to no effort.
“I am perfectly capable of walking.” I laugh, wrapping my arms around his neck and securing my body to his.
“I'm aware.” He says, kissing me gently before taking off through the dark space, eventually pushing his way inside what I can only assume is the bedroom. Without turning on any lights, he closes the door and lays me gently against the mattress but doesn't join me immediately.
I strain through the darkness to see what he is doing but I can't see anything but a shallow light pouring in from underneath the door. I jump slightly when he suddenly appears at my side, pulling me backwards into his body until I am tucked tightly against him, my back to his chest.
Pushing my hair to the side, he gently kisses my neck and then my hair before snuggling into me. “Sleep my sweet girl.” He whispers into the darkness. I want to protest, say that there will be plenty of time for sleep. But the truth is, I am so tired I have no idea how my eyes are even open and I know that he desperately needs sleep as well.
So instead of making it physical, which is my comfort zone, I snuggle deeper into his embrace and for once, allow myself to enjoy the intimacy of the moment. The feeling of his body against mine, of his heart beating against my back, of his soft breathing against my hair.
I wouldn't have thought it possible two months ago, that I could be laying with a man like this. Not in a sexual way but where I just want to be close to him. To feel him against me. To know that he is here. So much has changed in so little time and while the thought is terrifying, it's also one of the most amazing feelings I have ever experienced.
Chapter Three
The sun shining brightly against my face pulls me from what feels like an amazing dream. Refusing to open my eyes and allow reality to creep in, I try to hold onto sleep for a moment longer. It isn't until the memory of last night and where I am comes rushing to the surface, that my eyes shoot open and I quickly glance around.
I am in a bedroom, though the memory of how I got here is a little hazy. I run my hands along the soft gray sheets below me, allowing my mind time to play catch up. Looking to my left, Bentley is curled into my side wearing nothing but boxers, his breathing light, his face peaceful. Reaching out, I trail the back of my hand down his cheek, careful not to disturb him but not being able to resist touching him at the same time.
The sun shining brightly against the side of his perfect face, pulls my attention to the wall behind him. For the first time realizing that it is covered in large, floor to ceiling windows. Squinting into the brightness, I prop myself up slightly and peer through the glass. The moment I catch sight of the city below, I immediately roll to the side and pull myself out of the bed, careful not to wake the sleeping Bentley at my side.
Crossing the large room, I look out over the beautiful city for the first time, really letting the fact that I am in Seattle sink in. I have never been anywhere on the West Coast before and to say that I was unprepared to see it so soon would be quite the understatement.
“Good morning.” Bentley's groggy voice comes from behind me and pulls my attention away from the amazing view of the city and towards the amazing view of the man laying behind me.
“Morning.” I say, smiling as I cross the room and take a seat on the edge of the bed next to him. Reaching out, I push his messy brown hair away from his face, losing my breath a little when he hits me with those beautiful blue eyes, the gold and green specks catching the sun just right to give the colors almost a sparkle effect.
“What time is it?” He asks, immediately looking for the clock on the nightstand behind me. “Shit.” He shoots up, rubbing his eyes. “I haven't slept this late in years.” He turns towards me and gives me a goofy grin. “We gotta go.”
“Go where?” I ask, looking at the time to see it is just after nine in the morning.
“To the club. I am meeting with a building contractor at ten thirty.” He laughs when I pout out my lip slightly.
“Can't someone else do it?” I ask, pushing him back onto the bed and straddling my legs across his waist. Reaching to the bottom of my shirt, I quickly lift it over my head, not missing the way his eyes dance across my bare torso.
He lets out a groan in frustration and grinds his hips upwards, giving clear indication of his obvious arousal. “My god Logan, you're gonna be the fucking death of me.” He lets out a heavy exhale when I reach behind me and unclasp my white bra, letting my breasts topple free.
“You were saying.” I tease, taking my nipples and rubbing them gently between my fingertips, watching his eyes glaze over as I do.
Looking at the clock and then back to me, I laugh out when he flips me over with no warning and positions himself between my thighs, grinding his erection into my lower belly as he stares down at me. “You're playing with fire Ms. Blake.” He warns, leaning down to take my nipple into his mouth, sucking hard before switching to the next one and repeating the process.
“Am I now?” I tease, grinding my body upwards into him, our underwear the only barrier between us. Smiling down at me wickedly, he pulls back and grips my hips, abruptly flipping me face down onto the bed before tearing the material of my panties away, leaving my ass bare to him. I almost want to protest over the loss of my panties but the action is so hot that I can't bring myself to care.
Reaching underneath me, he hoists me up onto my knees and then positions himself behind me. “This is gonna be quick baby.” He warns, entering me on a hard thrust that pushes my face further into the mattress, muffling my cry of pleasure.
He grips my hips tightly as I push back meeting him thrust for thrust as he establishes a hard, ramming pace. From this position, he is entering me so deeply, I swear I can feel him in my stomach. And while there is a level of discomfort to being filled so completely, it doesn't touch the amount of pleasure that comes with it as well.
It's only minutes before we are both falling over the edge, Bentley gripping me so tightly that I am positive I will bruise, and me clawing at the sheets so intensely, it's a wonder that they don't shred to pieces beneath me.
Collapsing down on top of me, his lips find my shoulder blade first, then the top of my spine, followed by my other shoulder blade, before making their way to my ear. “Come take a shower with me.” He breaths, causing the tight twist in my lower belly to return full force.
“As if you even needed to ask.” I smile into the mattress below me, wishing every morning could start exactly the way this one has.

“So what exactly is the game plan?” I ask, turning towards Bentley in the back seat of the car as we make our way to the location of his newest club.
“Contractors are there now. Though I am almost certain they will not be happy about my late arrival.” He meets my eyes with a wicked smile.
“Are you complaining?” I ask, cocking my head to the side and smiling playfully at him.
“Hell no.” He says, pulling me closer to him. “I'm asking for a repeat.” He breathes, taking my mouth with his in a kiss so heated that I am ready to mount him right here and now. Sensing his effect on me, he smiles against my lips and pulls back. “Soon.” He promises, kissing the tip of my nose as the car pulls to a stop. “We're here.” He laughs at my obvious disappointment.
“Where is here exactly?” I ask, looking out the window to see a long row of brick buildings lining the street.
“This area is mainly made up of privately owned shops and boutiques. It's the perfect location because it is both discreet and believable. No one would think twice about seeing a politician or business mogul in this part of town. It's made up of some of the finest stores Seattle has to offer.” He says, sliding out of the back seat and then taking my hand to help me out as well.
Straightening my black top, I am thankful that Bentley got me real clothes and not something that I would feel uncomfortable wearing. With him, I just never know what to expect. Sometimes he goes way over the top and others, he keeps it so simple that he seems more like a normal guy than the successful rich man that he is. I like that Bentley. The one who keeps it simple and understands that what I need is not rated by its value.
Looking up, I allow Bentley to lead me hand in hand onto the sidewalk and then down a set of stone steps, to the right and then around the back of a building that houses a men's suit store. Leading me to an entrance in the back of the building, the moment he opens the door, we are greeted with a deep set of cement stairs leading down to another door.
I follow closely behind him, making sure I don't slip or snag my flip flops on something. With the lighting as dim as it is, the last thing I want to do is end up falling down the rather treacherous looking staircase.
“This will all be repaved and new lighting will be installed.” He explains, stopping in front of the door at the bottom and unlocking it before pushing his way inside.
I half expect to walk into a dark dingy room so when I am hit with bright lights and various noises, it takes me a moment to register my surroundings. The place is packed full of various workers. Some are knocking out walls, others are working on the wiring. The space is incredible; open and spacious with plenty of room to do just about whatever Bentley decides he wants to do with it.
“This is where the entrance will be.” He explains, gesturing to the area around us. “We are going to wall in this room and then the hallway as well.” He says, pointing to our left. “Come on.” He says, taking my hand once more and pulling me through the space.
