Delicately, Oliver's mouth slowly worked its way down Charlie's chest and stomach, not missing a single inch of skin. Each kiss was soft and sent erotic shivers running through Charlie's body, making the rhythmic caressing of his achingly stiff cock all the more intense.

Just as Charlie couldn't bear the excitement building any more, the firm grip of Oliver's fingers was replaced by his warm tongue, teasing and flicking over his head, before taking his full manhood to the base in one swift action. The sensation was unbearable, forcing him to dig his nails into the sheets to keep control of his urge to grab Oliver's head and take control. Through his heavy panting, he could feel the sweat dripping from his chest as he grasped the sheets even tighter.

His balls tightened, convinced that Oliver wanted him to cum right then and there. He closed his eyes, his head pushing back into the pillow, and his hips thrusting upwards, but suddenly Oliver stopped. Charlie looked down expectantly, seeing Oliver's grinning face looking back up at him.

“Where...did you learn to do that?” Charlie panted, out of breath, as a smile spread across his face.

“I made friends with the right people in high school,” Oliver whispered seductively, “the football team mainly.”

Charlie laughed to himself, not knowing if he was being serious or not, but in the moment, he didn't care. Anyone who could give him pleasure like that was gifted. Oliver crawled back up Charlie's clammy body, and through the heat, they explored each other’s mouths like never before. The kissing stopped and Oliver reached over to his bedside drawer, pulling out a small square silver packet and a bottle of liquid.

  It's time.

Charlie's heart drummed rhythmically in his sweaty chest as he watched Oliver tear open the metallic packet with his teeth, before slipping the rubber expertly down his impressive shaft. With a satisfying click, he popped open the bottle of lube and squeezed its contents on to the head of his cock, letting it ooze slowly down its length.

  “Just relax,” Oliver whispered.

“I am,” Charlie mumbled as his chest rose and fell slowly.

Gently, Oliver pushed apart his legs and when the cold liquid hit Charlie, he winced and shuddered. He felt Oliver's finger slowly slip inside him, making him grip the sheets once again. As he massaged in the sweet smelling liquid, a wave of hot shivers spread across his body forcing his cock to pulse and twitch.

“I'll be gentle,” Oliver whispered reassuringly as he gripped Charlie's hips, pulling him down the bed and angling his hips upwards.

Charlie nodded and watched as Oliver lowered his eyes in the flickering candle light. Carefully, he lifted up Charlie's legs and positioned himself between them. When the tip of the shaft rested at Charlie's virgin hole, a small moan escaped from deep within his throat. The anticipation was driving Charlie crazy. Closing his eyes, he felt Oliver slowly start to push inside of him. After just an inch or two, a blinding hot pain seared through Charlie's body, making him cry out.

“Am I going too fast?” Oliver asked.

  “A bit.”

He tried to disguise his pain from Oliver, but with his eyes screwed up and his fists tightening around the sheets, it was difficult. With the tip still inside, Oliver leaned in and planted a soft and warm kiss on Charlie's lips, which masked the pain for a moment. Still kissing him, he slid it in further and the more it hurt, the faster and deeper Charlie kissed Oliver.

“Is that it?” Charlie gasped, sure he couldn't take anymore.

  “It's half in,” Oliver whispered.

Charlie moaned with the conflicting pain of Oliver pushing further and further, and the pleasure of his loving kisses.

  Just breathe Charlie.

He panted and gasped for air as he felt the warm and wet hardness slide deep inside of a place that had remained untouched until now. When he felt Oliver's balls hit his cheeks, a small sigh of relief escaped through the panting and kissing.

For a few seconds, Oliver stayed where he was and they softly brushed their lips together. Charlie knew he was wanting him to get used to it, but the craving of lust returned and the pain turned to pleasure. He urged him with his tongue to keep going as he started to feel restless.

Gently, Oliver rounded his hips, and pulled back, before pumping his cock deep inside of Charlie. With each thrust, he sped up, and with each push the pain disappeared as his body yearned for Oliver to go deeper inside him.

“How does that feel?” Oliver whispered, dropping down to Charlie's ear.

  “It feels amazing,” Charlie panted.

“Good,” Oliver growled, “I'll start then.”

  We haven't started?

After what felt like an hour of heated love making, Oliver felt the tingling in his balls. He knew what was coming, but it only made him pump faster. The initial terror in Charlie's eyes had gone and the moans of pain had been replaced with screams of ecstasy.

Oliver was impressed at how quickly Charlie had taken to being fucked, but the thrill Oliver used to feel from taking someone’s virginity was a distant memory. All he cared about was making sure Charlie enjoyed every second as much as he did.

Oliver increased his thrusting when he knew he was on the brink of orgasm. As he felt his balls ready to release, he rested his head next to Charlie's ear for a second. Holding back the urge to cum, he whispered something he'd been craving to say since he'd seen Charlie leave the bathroom in the ambient lighting.

“I love you,” he panted as sweat dripped down his face.

Every part of Oliver's exposed skin tingled and pulsed, he arched his spine, threw his head backwards, and experienced the most intense rush of his life. Oliver had said something stupid things when he was about to cum, but when he slowly pulled out and collapsed in an exhausted pile on the bed next to Charlie, he realized that he didn't regret a thing.

  I really do love Charlie.

  ACT 3

  Fires and Sharks

  Chapter 19

The headlights to Oliver's car cast an eerie glow on the surface of the dark road as they drove back down to Surf Bay. The sound of a distant siren made Charlie shuffle awkwardly in his seat. His heart was still pounding from the most erotic experience in his entire life, but he wasn't thinking about what he and Oliver had just done, he was thinking about what Oliver had said.

  He said he loved me.

The car wound down, and the perfect secluded roads that surrounded Oliver's private house quickly turned into the slightly bumpy and potholed main street of Surf Bay. Even through the luxury wheels of Oliver's car, Charlie could feel the lumps and bumps, which repeatedly jolted him from his thoughts.

He doesn't really love me. Does me? He just said it in the moment.

The source of the sirens, a fire engine, whizzed past them at lightning speed, making Oliver swerve out of the road.

“They think they own the damn road!” Oliver cried, pounding down on his horn, “Do you fancy getting some food before you go home?”

  “Sure,” Charlie smiled.

He didn't want to feel so awkward sat next to Oliver, but it felt like he was sat in a car with a stranger. He's just been inside you for fuck sake.

Glancing over to Oliver, he watched as he concentrated on the road ahead, wondering if he was feeling awkward about what he'd said, or if he was fine with it.

Maybe he did mean it? Should I have said it back?

Another fire engine blurred past the window, heading straight for the center of Surf Bay, but Charlie wasn't thinking about the fire in town, he was thinking about that crackling fire deep inside him that he couldn't explain.

He thought about the words escaping Charlie's lips. The hardest part was when he heard those dangerous three words, they'd engorged him, and through the dying candle light he'd stared at Oliver and felt exactly the same.

It wasn't until afterwards that he started to question it and panic.

“Are we eating at the diner?” Oliver asked, “Your mom might still be on.”

  Charlie hope
d not. He couldn't think of anyone he wanted to see less at that moment. The thought of looking her in the eyes, imagining Oliver deep inside of him made his skin sweat.

“She's probably finished by now,” Charlie said glancing at the LED clock on the dashboard, “but we can still eat there.”

When they turned the corner onto Main Street and he saw the smoke and fire engines, it quickly became apparent that they wouldn't be eating at the diner.

“What the fuck is going on?” Oliver cried, slowing down the car as they pulled up behind the fire engines scattered around the diner, blocking it off from the shocked group of onlookers.

As if in slow motion, Charlie ripped open the door and ran towards the diner. The flames had engulfed every part of the building, as black and heavy smoke billowed out of the shattered windows. He stood, frozen to the spot and watched as the team of fire fighters aimed their hoses at the crumbling building.

  “Charlie!” Oliver cried.

Charlie spun around with tears in his eyes, as he scanned the crowds of people, looking for his mother. He couldn't see her. Panic took over him as he stood rooted to the spot. He wanted to scream out for her but no words came out.

As the flames crackled, an orange glow covered the main street of Surf Bay, Charlie's eyes suddenly changed focus to the peeling front door of their new apartment above the Ice Cream Parlor. His fingers fumbled frantically in his pockets for the set of keys his mother had given him, but when he gripped the handle, the door pushed open.

Leaping steps three at a time, Charlie burst into the living room and tears burst from his eyes when he saw his mother on the sofa under a green blanket with her eye lids flickering.

“Mom!” Charlie cried, not able to hold the tears back.

Her eyes burst open and in the lowlight, she took a moment before she saw her son's terrified crying face staring down at her.

“What's going on?” she groaned, lifting her hand to brush her matted hair from her eyes.

“It's the diner mom,” Charlie cried, “it's on fire.”

  “What?”

She jumped up from her seat and ran over to the tiny window to stare at the flames across the street.

“I thought you were inside,” Charlie sobbed, “you said you were working tonight.”

“I had a headache,” she gasped, “Frank sent me home. I must have fallen asleep.”

Charlie saw the realization of what was happening hit her, as the sleep quickly left her cloudy mind, and she bolted down the staircase, pushing Oliver out of the way as she went.

“What the hell is going on?” Oliver cried.

Charlie collapsed into his arms and let the tears of shock and relief fall from his eyes onto Oliver's shoulder. Charlie almost buckled when he realized what was really going on.

His mother was out of a job.

Charlie quickly left Oliver and bolted out into the street where he saw his mother hugging the elderly owner of the diner who looked as shocked as everyone else. He still had his apron wrapped around his waist, and black smoke clung to his glistening and leathery skin.

“It was the fryers!” he wailed, “They just burst into flames. I couldn't stop it.”

“Was anyone hurt Frank?” she cried.

Frank thought for a second and shook his head heavily.

“No,” he sobbed, “I got everyone out. I tried to go back in to smother it, but it just spread so fast. Oh god, I couldn't stop it.”

“You did good getting everyone out in time,” she muttered.

His mother pulled Frank into another embrace as the flickering light from the flames danced over them. Charlie watched the fire roar on as the fire team tried to save what they could.

Charlie felt weak at the knees as he watched his mother's job burn to ashes.

She's made us move for a lot less than this.

  ***

Oliver stood and stared at the smoldering building as the fire fighters sifted through the scene making sure no trace of fire was waiting to spring back to life. He clutched the bottle of whiskey that he'd bought from the liquor store and turned towards the apartment, and headed up the stairs.

When he reached the top of the stairs, it almost broke his heart to see Charlie holding Sarah like a child. The warm and motherly look had left her eyes to be replaced with an empty, glassy expression. Poppy had woken up and was sitting next to her mother, with her head rested on her lap, but it didn't look like Sarah knew what was going on.

“It's the strongest thing I could get,” Oliver said holding out the bottle.

Sarah didn't look up, instead she continued to stare into the dark corner of the apartment, which smelt strongly of smoke. Charlie glanced to Oliver, but the similar look of pain had infected him.

This isn't how I imagined this day to end.

“I'll pour us all a drink,” Oliver said, heading towards the kitchen.

The cupboards were sparse and after he'd poured generous amounts of the amber liquor into a pint glass, a shot glass and a gravy boat, he handed them out to the shocked party, keeping the gravy boat for himself. With a shaking hand, Sarah gripped the glass and tossed it back not even wincing. Oliver put the lip of the porcelain boat to his lips and poured the tangy liquid down his throat, letting the burning sensation run through him.

“Can I have another?” Sarah asked, holding her glass out weakly.

“Here, have mine,” Charlie said, passing her the pint glass.

She tossed it back as quick as the first, closed her eyes and collapsed back into the sofa. Oliver tried to make eye contact with Charlie, but Charlie kept his focus on Sarah.

“I need to go to bed,” Sarah said after a few minutes of silence.

Shakily, she stood up, making Poppy jump off her.

“Can I sleep with you Mommy?” Poppy asked, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

Sarah looked down to her daughter with a blank expression before shaking her head and snapping back to reality.

“Sure baby,” she smiled and led Poppy off to her bedroom.

Oliver knew the smile was faked and he couldn't imagine what Sarah was feeling, but as he gazed down at the vacant boy he'd told he loved only a few hours ago, his heart hurt for him.

“Everything will be okay,” Oliver whispered as he collapsed onto the sofa next to Charlie.

  “Will it?” Charlie said glumly.

Oliver didn't know what to say. He rested his hand on Charlie's knee, but when he felt Charlie's body tighten up under his touch, he pulled it away.

“There will be other jobs,” Oliver said.

Charlie laughed deeply sending a shiver down Oliver's spine.

“You don't know what she's like. She doesn't work like that.”

“You're not leaving Surf Bay,” Oliver said.

  Charlie didn't say anything.

“You're not leaving,” Oliver repeated again, “I won't let you leave.”

He could feel his hands starting to shake as he tightened them into fists on his knees. He wanted to reach out into the dark and hold Charlie, but it felt like he was more distant than ever.

“I'll sort this out,” Oliver said.

“How can you sort it out?” Charlie snapped, “My wage isn't going to keep this roof over our heads.”

“So move back in with Evelyn until you're back on your feet?”

  Charlie just shook his head.

“I know my mother. That's not going to happen,” Charlie sighed, hitting his head against the back of the sofa, “she panics and goes into fight or flight mode and then she does something stupid and the next thing I know we're on a train.”

  “This time it's different.”

  “What makes it so different?”

  “You have me,” Oliver whispered.

This time, he reached out and clutched Charlie's hand reassuringly and squeezed it tightly.

“I won't let anything happen to you,” Oliver said in a low voice, “I meant what I said.”

“You can't stop it any more than I
can,” he whispered in defeat.

Oliver wanted to wave a magic wand and make everything better but he knew Charlie was right. He didn't know Sarah that well, and he didn't know what she was capable off. Charlie had alluded to the fact they'd moved around a lot, but he didn't realize just how easily she could pick up her family and start again.

“Can I stop over?” Oliver asked, “I don't want to leave you like this.”

“That's not a good idea,” Charlie said, glancing to his mother's bedroom door.

“I'll be gone before she wakes up. I promise. I just want to be here for you.”

Charlie turned his head to Oliver, smiled and nodded his head. Still clutching Charlie's hand, Oliver led him off to his sparse bedroom and still clothed, they lay on the bed together. Oliver wrapped his legs and arms around Charlie's back and pulled him in tightly, nuzzling his face into the back of his neck.

He pulled him in tighter and kissed his exposed skin gently.

  I won't let you go. I can't.

  Chapter 20

By the time Charlie's eyes flickered open from the light pouring under his door, Oliver had already gone. He rolled over, missing the arms that had stayed wrapped around him all night.

  Perhaps it was a dream.

When he sat up fully clothed on the bed, he could still smell the fire and he knew none of it had been a dream. The familiar dull ache of fear filled his stomach as he slid off the bed and headed towards the living area.

“Morning,” his mother smiled as she hugged her coffee cup.

He glanced over to the whiskey bottle that was set on the kitchen counter and half of it had gone.

“Bit early for drinking isn't it?” Charlie said, wandering over to the small kitchen table.
