Felisha just nodded her head, and then said. “Have a good night, Mark.”
“You too, and kiss my babies for me.” He said right before she closed the door in his face.
Chapter 6
The next morning, Zay and Olivia lay in bed making passionate love. They had stayed the night at Olivia’s parent’s house since it was late by the time the Anniversary celebration was over.
“You love me?” Zay questioned.
“Yes,” Olivia whispered in his ear as he slow stroked her insides. Her pussy tightened around the shaft of his dick causing him to moan a little.
“I love you, too.” He whispered back while gently running his fingers through her hair. In one swift motion he turned her over on her stomach and began kissing down the spine of her back. Olivia softly moaned while Zay planted soft bites on her butt cheeks. He palmed her ass and spread it open licking down the crack of her ass to the honey taste of her pussy. Her juices overflowed in his mouth while quenching his thirst.
“Aaaaaaah baby,” Olivia let out as she lifted her butt up off of the bed so Zay could put his face all in it.
“You like this?” He whispered as he planted sweet kisses in between her legs here and there.
“You know I do,” Oliva replied. Zay always gave her the attention she wanted and sought after. Mark never made passionate love to her the way Zay did. He never really knew how touch her body without using his hands. He limited her from the special things that would’ve more than likely saved their marriage. “Yes baby, right there.” Olivia coached as Zay’s tongue tickled her clit like a vibrator as he continued to eat her from the back. “Damn,” she softly let out feeling him inch his way up her back as delicately licked her. Zay had mastered it all when it came down to pleasing her. He was always on time and always on point.
“Oh yeeeeaah,” he whispered as he slid his thick rod inside of her while grabbing her small waist. She was throwing it back on him, but he was pulling her body to him as he thrust in and out of her repeatedly. “Damn babe!” he exclaimed.
“You like that don’t you?” she seductively questioned.
“I love it; every bit of it.” He responded as his dick continued to massage her slick walls. Without a doubt, Olivia had some of the wettest pussy he’d ever had and there was no way in hell was he slacking up to let anyone near her. He was definitely putting a ring on it and locking her all the way down. His step dad had always told him to never let another man make his woman smile and that was some of the best advice he could’ve ever been given. As his pumps slowed down then got faster, Zay found himself about to erupt. He held on to Olivia’s waist firmly and mumbled a low, satisfying groan. Olivia smiled knowing that she’d pleased her man.
A few minutes later, Zay was laying behind Olivia with his arm cupped around her body. He kissed the back of her head. “I love you,” he whispered.
Olivia smiled. “I love you more.” She stated. As she lay there thoughts about the noise she was making crossed her mind and quickly she glanced back over her shoulder. “Do you think that I was making too much noise? You think mom and dad heard us?”
Zay grinned. “No baby, nobody heard us. Plus, I heard everyone leave right before I woke you up.”
“Oh that’s right. I forgot that they had plans.” She said thinking about Zoe & Dillon taking them to an appointment that was previously set up for them to take some updated portraits together for their anniversary.
“Yeah, I think your mom and dad are going to be surprised at what Dillon and Zoe have planned for them. From what Dillon told me, they’re going to change about five different times for the picture shoot. I think it’s going to be exciting.”
Olivia smiled. “I think so, too. Plus, that’s right up mom’s alley. However, she’s such a plain Jane and I know that Zoe is going to have her dressing in some things that she may have to look at twice.”
Zay laughed. “Dillon did say that the outfits were nice, but your mom might have to be persuaded into wearing the red mini skirt that Zoe picked out.”
“Red mini skirt?!” Olivia laughed out loud. “Lord, please be with my mom and please let her be a good sport about this.”
“I think she’ll be fine with it.” Zay said. “Your mom has really lightened up in the time that I’ve known her. Zoe even got her to paint the kitchen and that light burgundy looking color isn’t nothing close to it being beige.”
“Well she did keep the beige color for the borders.” Olivia teased. “Yeah, but you’re right. Zoe is definitely helping her to come out of that uptight, professional demeanor that she carries.” She said as she sat straight up in bed. “I figured it was about time for her to wake up.”
Zay smiled. “Yep, she certainly has a set of lungs on her. She might just be the next Beyonce.” He teased.
“You never know,” Olivia said as she got out of bed and put her robe on over her silk, pink nightwear.” Just as she trotted out of the bedroom, the doorbell rang. “Can you get that, babe? It’s probably something from UPS. You know mom and dad get spoiled with Anniversary gifts from family and lots of friends.” She said as she made her way to the bedroom where baby Chloe was putting up a hunger fuss.
“And I thought my parents were bad.” Zay said speaking of his mom and step dad. The solid bond that they had with each other reminded him so much of Olivia’s parents and the solid bond that they had as a married couple. He wanted to be the man that his daughter looked up to in hopes that she’d someday choose someone of his caliber to marry as well.
Within a few minutes, Zay had made it down the stairs in a pair of gym shorts and a Nike t-shirt. He was expecting to glance out of the window, next to the big front door, to see a delivery person getting back inside of their vehicle. However, what he saw was a brand new, snow white Lexus GT parked alongside the curb of the house. He peeked through the peephole and had to do a double take.
What the hell? He thought with a perplexed expression on his face. Without hesitation, he opened up the door. “Felisha,” he cautiously said knowing that it had been well over a year since he’d last seen her.
“Zay,” she softly said. “How are you?”
“I’m good.” Zay responded. “Uh, you know that we dropped off lil Romeo to your mom’s house last night, right?”
“Yeah, I know. I picked him up right after. Lil Romeo told me that y’all were staying the night here and so I decided to come over and see O’. I know it’s been a long time, but I’d like to speak with her.”
“You sure about that?” Zay questioned knowing that Olivia did everything in her power not to be associated with Felisha. She hadn’t seen Felisha in over a year. Why would she want that to change now?
“I thought about this all night. I guess I couldn’t help but think about it since Lil Romeo kept urging me to see her. He thinks we should be close again.”
Zay frowned.
“You don’t have to look like that. I know we’ll never be close again, but at least I can apologize for the wrong things that I’ve done to her. I know it may never do any good or even be a need for it, but I’ve grown and I’m making changes as we speak. I just want her to someday forgive me; at least for the sake of my son.”
“Weeeeeeell,” Zay hesitantly dragged.
“Who’s at the door?” Olivia asked as she headed down the stairs with baby Chloe in her arms. Almost instantly she spotted Felisha standing there.
“What the hell?” She questioned as Zay turned to face her.
“Yeah uh, you got company.” He said. He’d been trying to get Olivia to talk with Felisha, at least to clear the air, but Olivia wasn’t having it. She almost hated Felisha with a passion and didn’t want nothing to do with her, period.
Felisha smiled pleasantly in hopes that Olivia would lighten up the hard exterior on her face. “Uh hey O’.” she spoke. “Can we talk for a moment?”
Olivia frowned as Zay stepped back from the door. “Talk about what?” she questioned as she stood face to face with her ex-best fr
iend. Never in a million years did she think she’d be able to stand even remotely close to her without knocking her out, but she held her composure.
“I just never got a chance to formally apologize for the things that I’ve done and I want so much for you to forgive someday.” Felisha wholeheartedly stated.
Olivia stood there rocking Chloe in her arms while feeling almost speechless. She knew that one day they’d cross paths again, but she never expected her to just pop up at her mom’s house looking for some form of reconciliation.
“Well, uh Felisha. I don’t know if your apology is even needed at this point. It’s been a long time. I’ve gotten over it.”
“Have you?” Felisha sincerely questioned. “Because I haven’t. I miss us.”
Zay’s eyes widened. What is she thinking about? He thought, but as he glanced over at the confused expression on Olivia’s face he felt that maybe now was just as good a time as any for them to settle things and finally move on from it. “I’ll take Chloe,” he said. “I think you need to have this conversation.”
“Babe, if you leave me alone with her I might just kill her,” Olivia whispered through gritted teeth.
“You’ll be fine,” Zay said almost laughing under his breath. Had it been eight months earlier, he would’ve never left her alone with Felisha. She probably would’ve killed her for real, but now time had passed and he felt that his fiancé needed closure in order for her to completely move forward with him. He kissed her softly on the lips as he took baby Chloe out of her arms. “Call me if you need me. I’ll be in the bedroom feeding her.”
“Thanks babe,” Olivia said as Zay glanced back at Felisha and nodded his head. He knew that Olivia could very well handle herself. As he walked off, she then directed her attention back to Felisha. “Well,” she said while looking her over. “I guess you can come in for a moment. Have a seat.” She cordially said to her own surprise.
Felisha walked into the entertainment room that was located just past the foyer, down from the front door. As she walked in to sit down, she noticed the pretty colored paint on the kitchen walls. “Oh my goodness, I see that your mom has livened things up a bit.” She teased, but Olivia didn’t respond. She only sat down across from Felisha on her Father’s favorite lazy boy recliner.
“So, what is this visit about? We’ve not spoken since I found out about you and Mark secret affair. I personally think it’s best to leave things in the past.” She said, and then stood up. At once, all types of emotions started taking over. The love she once had for Felisha was now replaced with hate, and a little envy at how Felisha had given her ex-husband not one, but three kids. That was a hard pill to swallow. “As a matter of fact, I think that you should leave now.”
Felisha hesitantly stood up, but then sat back down. She could understand why Olivia would act that way, but she wasn’t leaving until she said what she had to say. “O’, I’m sorry. I can’t say that enough. I was dumb and blinded by love. Sadly, I wanted your life. I don’t know what I was thinking about or why I chose to keep doing underhanded things behind your back. It was selfish of me and flat out wrong. Back when I said this before I meant it, but I didn’t. Because had I did, I wouldn’t have continued to sleep with Mark.”
“Nor would you have twins by him, either.” Olivia abruptly responded.
Felisha shook her head. “You’re right, but I wouldn’t trade my babies for the world. Regardless of Mark being around or not, my kids come first and I love them with all my heart.”
“As you should,” Olivia said knowing exactly what that feeling was like.
“I can’t take back what I’ve done, but I’ve been praying to move past it and to forgive myself. In doing so, I’m also praying that you forgive me, too.”
Olivia folded her arms while sitting back down. It must’ve been something in her that was sincere, because of the way that she’d showed up there. As usual when something serious was being discussed she’d sit for a moment and analyze the situation and what was being said. For some reason, Olivia always saw the good people. It was a gift and a curse that she still dealt with from time to time. As she sat there contemplating the words that would come out of her mouth, she then asked. “Are you still in love with Mark?”
Felisha sat there quietly thinking about the answer to Olivia’s question. Answering as truthfully as she could, she began to explain her feelings. “I do, because I have love for my kids and without them I wouldn’t have them. A part of me feels bad for the guy that he’s become. I’m not sugar coating anything on my end, but I do know that he’s unsure of what he wants or who he wants to be with. Do I see myself ever sleeping with him again? I don’t, because a part of me have to accept what we have and let it go. I’ve already lost so much during this whole thing and I just want to put it behind me and move on.”
“Don’t you think that’s going to be kind of hard with look-a-likes of Mark in your face all the time.”
“I’ve thought about that, but it won’t be a problem. I’ve also been praying for a good man. I’m happy that you have one and your daughter is beautiful. I was so shocked when my mom told me that we had our babies on the same day.”
“Thanks, and yeah, that was quite interesting.”
“I didn’t know that Mark had gotten some other woman pregnant, too. Unfortunately, he told me that she’d lost her baby on the same day that we had our baby’s.”
“Yeah, I heard about that, too.” Olivia dryly responded. She already didn’t want to fool with Felisha, let alone talk about Angel, but she was a bit curious to know something. “How did that make you feel?” she questioned then continued, “To know that while you were laid up in the hospital having two babies by Mark; he was in Atlanta with another woman while she was also having their baby?”
“I can’t lie. It hurt,” Felisha admitted. “But it should’ve hurt, because it reminded me of how stupid I’d been for so many years over a man that will never love me. Even if he wanted to love me now, it’d never work. I don’t look at him the same. I hate it took all of this to happen for me to learn a lesson, but please believe me that it’s certainly a lessoned learned.”
“I hear you,” Olivia responded.
“I know you probably don’t believe me, but it’s true. Mark even came to my house last night wanting to see the kids and a part of me don’t want him to, because he has such dirty ways about him. However, another part of me just wants to co-exist with him as good parents to our kids. And that’s it,” she added. “Lil Romeo loves him to death. The only problem is that he still doesn’t know about Mark being his father and I thank you for not telling him. Mark wants us to sit down and tell him, but I need to do that on my own time, not his.”
“I can understand that.” Olivia remarked. “I think it’s good to see you not so dependent on something that isn’t good for you. I also hate that your love for him overshadowed your sincere love for me, because I genuinely loved you like a sister. Now,” Olivia added as she cut her eyes over at Felisha. “You ain’t shit to me.”
Felisha was a bit shocked to hear Olivia say that being that she’d displayed such a calm demeanor the whole time.
“I’ve wanted nothing more than to beat your ass since the day I found out about you and Mark. That thought only tripled every time I thought about Lil Romeo being his son and me playing the fool all of those years. You’re lucky that I’m really working on myself. God knows that I am a piece of work in progress. Otherwise, I would’ve already whooped your ass and sent you home. I don’t want you in no way shape or form to think that I’ll ever be cool with you again. I personally don’t ever care to see you so we can continue with me meeting up with your mom to see Lil Romeo.”
“If that’s how you feel,” Felisha said with a disappointed shake of the head.
“I think you’re a snake, a low-life, and someone that can’t ever be trusted. I hope that the lesson you’ve learned hurt as much as you hurt me. You definitely deserved every bit of it.”
Felisha dropp
ed her head as if she was defeated, and then she responded. “I can’t deny that. I was a horrible friend and you were only good to me. Even after it all, you’re still good to my son. He’s the reason why I’m here apologizing. I feel bad that he’s in the middle of this mess, because he loves you just as much as he loves me. It’s hard to explain to a five year old that we’ll no longer hang together anymore, but it’s okay if he does.” Felisha said as the tears started to build up in the corner of her eyes. “I didn’t come here for sympathy votes or to even get my best friend back. I just came over to say that I’m sorry so that I can tell my son that I did talk with you. Maybe then I can give him some closure on the relationship that he hopes that someday you and I will have again.” She explained as she stood up. “Tell your mom and dad that I said Happy Anniversary.” Felisha then headed for the front door in a hurry as she wiped the tears from her eyes.
Olivia felt somewhat bad for what she’d said as she stood up to walk her out, but Felisha had already exited the house and was well on the way to her car. Olivia could see her crying as she got behind the wheel. She wiped her eyes a few more times, and then without looking first she pulled out into the street as someone going way faster than the neighborhood speeding limit hit the side of her car. The guy hit it so hard that it pushed Felisha’s car a few feet down the down.
“OH MY GOD!” Olivia yelled out as she took off running outside. She ran past the big Suburban that the guy was driving since he seemed to be alright as he jumped out of the SUV looking crazy. She ran up to Felisha’s car to see that the airbag had popped out, instantly bruising her face. “FELISHA!!” she yelled out as Felisha lay limp in the car from having fainted from the accident. “Somebody call the police!”
Chapter 7
Three days had passed with Felisha still in the hospital. She’d been out of it and hadn’t opened her eyes since the accident. The doctors said it to be a light coma which she’d gone into from the concussion she suffered. The accident had also banged her up pretty bad. Her leg was broken and she had two cracked ribs along with a few stiches here and there. Other than that, all of her vitals were good and she was still breathing on her own. The only thing was that she wasn’t alert and in her condition it probably was a good thing that she wasn’t. They felt it to be a matter of time before she woke up, though.
