“That explains why you kept rattling the door handle. Hell, I thought that Alicia had decided to come here last night instead. So when I opened the door I was happy to see that it was you.”
“I can tell,” Dillon said. “Otherwise, I wouldn’t be waking up here.” He slipped on his jeans, and then quickly found his shoes. “I gotta get out of here.” He said as he rushed for the door.
Rihanna wrapped the covers around her body and followed him. “Nobody has to know about this,” she said as Dillon opened up the room door to walk out.
“I know one thing, my girl can never know that this happened.”
“Know that what happened?” Zoe asked as she startled Dillon. She was just leaving his room and ran into him coming out of Rihanna’s room.
“Zoe,” Dillon said through guilty eyes.
“So, is this why you weren’t answering your phone?” She quickly asked.
“It’s not what you think.” He said.
“This is what you wanted anyway,” she said to Rihanna. “I hope you’re happy, because he’s all yours now.”
Rihanna stood there with a blank look on her face. She didn’t know what to say.
“Zoe,” Dillon called out, but Zoe headed straight for the elevators not looking back. Once inside the elevator she called Olivia’s cell phone. The minute Olivia answered, she said. “I can’t do this, Sis.”
Olivia could hear that she was crying. “You can’t do what? What happened? Where’s Dillon?”
“I can’t be in your wedding.” She said, and then ended their call.
“What the fuck just happened?” Olivia questioned herself. “What does she mean that she can’t be in my wedding?” Without hesitation, she called Zoe back. The phone went straight to voicemail leaving Olivia stuck in her thoughts. “This can’t be happening?” She said as she thought about calling Zay to find out if he knew what was going on. By the time she started calling him, he was calling her. Quickly she answered.
“Hey babe,” she said.
“I have some bad news,” Zay told her.
“What kind of bad news? It can’t be no worse than my sister not showing up to my wedding.” Olivia pouted.
“Well, I don’t know what’s going on with that, but Shay just found Angel unconscious this morning. Apparently, she overdosed on some lethal drugs last night. They don’t know if she’s gonna make it.” He explained.
Olivia sat quietly on the phone. She was at a loss of words. Even though she didn’t know Angel well enough to cry for her, the news was sad nonetheless. “Does this mean that Shay is not showing up, either?” she questioned. It was the only thing that escaped her lips.
“I don’t know, babe.” Zay said in an unsure tone. “At this point, I don’t care who shows or don’t show. We’re getting married today, one way or the other.” He assured her.

Meanwhile, back in Augusta, GA, Felisha sat on the sofa inside the living room of her home feeling relaxed and in a great mood. She was anxiously awaiting the events that would later take place. As she smelled the breakfast coming from the kitchen, she smiled. It smelled so good that it caused her stomach to rumble. She had worked up a sweat through the night. It was just what she needed; a fresh start to something new.
She’d done a lot of praying and trying to fix her life. Now God was finally showing her the way. As she sat there waiting to be served by the man she’d chosen to be in her life, the doorbell rang. Felisha glanced back over to shoulder into the kitchen while getting up to see who was visiting her this early in the morning.
“Who is it?” she called out.
“Mark.”
Felisha opened the door. “What are you doing here?”
“I just wanted you to know that I left Angel. I wanna be with you and the kids.”
Felisha frowned. “You can’t be serious?” She said with a cautious glare.
“I am,” he said. “I don’t know what it is, but I want you. I want to love you and be with you. I want to help you raise our kids.” He pleaded, but Felisha was still standing there looking dumbfounded. Never in a million years did she actually think that Mark would leave Angel at a time like this. Nor, did she think that he’d leave one woman’s house just to move in another woman’s house.
“What are you thinking, Mark?” She questioned him.
“I’m thinking that I love you and I want to be with you.”
Felisha shook her head. “No, baby. I’m sorry if I mislead you, but we’ll never be a couple. I can never allow myself to ever fall that weak for a man again. You’re a dollar short and a penny too late.” She added as she glanced back over her shoulder upon hearing Logan’s voice calling her name from the kitchen.
“Who is that?” Mark asked as he tried to look around Felisha’s door to the inside of her house.
“That’s potentially my new boo,” Felisha told him. “All I need you to do is take care of your kids and call me before you just pop up to my house.” She said, and then without further delay; she closed the door shut in his face.
Mark walked to his car feeling outdone and defeated. He’d broken Angel’s heart in the worse way only for him to get his heart broken by someone else. How easily the tables had turned. He was the one that was left hanging and unexpectedly the one that was now drunk in love.
“Damn,” he whispered while hitting the steering wheel in his car. He couldn’t help but think that it was probably over for him now. As he backed out of her driveway he took one more look at the front of her house. “You will love me again, Felisha. I can’t stop trying until that happens.”
