Feels So Right, It Must Be Wrong 3

“Mommy!” she yelled as she ran to her mom and threw her arms around her waist, kissing her protruding belly. “I missed you!”
“I missed you, too, baby,” Anika said.
Anika smelled him before he even rounded the corner. The smell of Cool Water cologne hit her nose as she looked up and they locked eyes as Symir walked into the room.
“Why are you here?” he asked Anika.
“She’s here to take her daughter home, why do you think?” Asia spoke up.
“Stay out of this, A. It has nothing to do with you,” Symir spat.
“Maybe not, but it has something to do with my niece and my nephew that she is carrying. It’s pretty clear that you’ve been on some other shit lately and all that stops here,” Asia said.
“How do you even know that’s my baby she’s carrying?” Symir asked.
Before Asia could even have a rebuttal, Anika stepped in.
“You know what, Symir? Fuck you! I may be a lot of things, but a bitch to pin a baby on a nigga is something I have never been. I’ve been doing good for the past six months without you, and I’ll do good these last three. As a matter of fact, you don’t have to worry about me at all. If I need something for Sasha, which I highly doubt, I’ll go through Asia.”
With that, Anika walked back out the door, leaving Symir standing there speechless. Never since they had known each other had she ever spoken to him like that. He didn’t know if he wanted to be mad or turned on.
Asia grabbed Sasha’s hand before following behind Anika. She turned around to say one last thing. “Get it together before you lose her for good.”

Patience woke up in the middle of the night with a dry mouth so she got out of the bed to get her something to drink. On her way down the stairs, she heard a loud knock at her door. Thinking it was her brother, she ran to the door and opened it.
“W-What are you doing here?” she asked.
Mickey looked up at her with low red eyes. “I’m high as hell, a little tipsy and I’m sleepy. Now, are you going to let me lay down or what?”
Patience stood there biting her lip for a second, contemplating what she was going to do. Finally, she moved to the side and let him enter. She never had a problem with Mickey, he was always cool and laid back whenever they were around each other. She would be lying to herself if she said she wasn’t attracted to him in any kind of way. She hadn’t seen him since the last time all the men were at her brother’s house planning Asia’s party.
“Lead me to the room,” he instructed.
“Hold on, let me grab a bottle of water real quick.”
When she walked away, that’s when she remembered that all she had on was her bra and panties. Shaking her head, she reached in the refrigerator before returning to the living room.
“Come on.”
Mickey pushed himself off the wall and followed Patience up the stairs. She led him to the room that used to be her brother’s when he was living with her after he got shot.
“Here you go,” she said.
“Nah, lil mama. Your room,” Mickey said.
Patience looked him in his eyes to see if he was serious. The fact that he was indeed high made his eyes look sexy. She had to get herself together when he licked his lips and never broke eye contact from her. Without another word being shared between the two, Patience grabbed his hand and led him to her room.
While she sipped from her bottle water, Mickey stripped down to his basketball shorts and took his hoodie and shirt off. Patience shook her head as she placed the water on the dresser. She never really understood why men insisted on wearing shorts under their pants. She laid down and got comfortable while Mickey climbed in bed with her.
Just as she got in a comfortable position, Mickey wrapped his arm around her and pulled her closer to him, burying his face in the crook of her neck. That night, Patience went to sleep with a smile on her face, as did Mickey. They both shared the same thought. I could get used to this.
The next morning, Mickey woke up to the smell of food being cooked and had to look around to remember where he was. The décor didn’t look familiar to him at all. Where the hell am I? he thought just as Patience walked in the room talking on the phone.
“That is her mother, Knowledge. She was away from her for five months. Leave her alone and let her spend some time with Asia. You’re being very selfish right now,” she fussed at her brother as she held out Mickey’s plate for him to take.
“Thank you,” he said as he took the plate of food and the memory of what happened last night came back.
She nodded her head at him as she listened to her brother whine on the phone like a little kid. “I understand all that, P, but that’s my daughter, too.”
“Alright, Omari. I’m going to keep it funky with you. You need to let Asia keep Wysdom for however long she wants her until she’s ready for you to come and get her. Asia and Wysdom have to get the chance to get acquainted with each other. Wysdom spent almost the first two months of her life in the hospital, the day she comes home her mother is snatched away from her for months. She knows who her daddy is. She knows your scent, touch, and voice. When it comes to her mother, she knows none of that. You don’t know how it feels to be a mother and your child doesn’t even know you,” Patience explained.
Knowledge got quiet on his end of the phone because he never thought of it like that. He knew he could count on his sister to help him out with his problems, like always.
“You’re right,” was still he could say.
“I know I’m right. Now stop being a brat and get off my line. Love you.”
“Why you rushing me off the phone?” Knowledge asked.
“Nigga, she busy!” Mickey yelled out just to fuck with him.
“Who the fuck—”
Patience hung up the phone before he could even finish his sentence.
“Thanks a lot. Now he’s going to be trying to kick my door in,” she laughed.
“He’ll be alright.”
“I know, but what about you, Mekal?” Patience asked.
“Mekal, huh?” he chuckled. “But yea, I’m good. Thanks for looking out for me.”
“It’s no biggie. I would rather you crash here than be out there driving while you’re drunk,” she said as she took his plate from him.
“I knew you cared about a nigga.” Mickey smiled.
“Oh, whatever.” She blushed as she rushed out of the room.
While Patience was downstairs, Mickey took a quick shower before checking his phone and seeing that Symir wanted him to meet up with him. When he got downstairs, Patience had just finished washing and putting up the dishes.
“Aye, lil mama, come lock the door.”
Patience followed behind to the door and just when she was about to tell him bye, he turned around and pressed his lips against hers. He pulled her closer by her hips while simultaneously parting her lips with his tongue. Patience swore she felt her heart skip a few beats as she sucked on his tongue. After what seemed like forever, Mickey finally broke the kiss.
“I’ll see you later.” He smirked as he slapped her on the ass softly before leaving.
“Good Lord,” Patience panted as she tried to catch her breath.
Chapter Fifteen
Asia pulled up to the house that used to be her and Symir’s party house. Before she could even reach the porch, the door swung open.
“Oh, so now you decide to come see me.”
Asia took her sunglasses off and smiled brightly. “Damn,” she said.
Cookie laughed at the expression on Asia’s face. “I take it I look good,” she said as they walked in the house.
“Good? Girl, you look better than a bag of money and oh gosh! Look at that booty.” Asia gasped as she hit Cookie on her butt.
“Asia,” Cookie whined.
“What, girl? Where did that thing come from?” Asia asked, confused.
Yes, Cookie had put on some weight since being in Miami, but it was in all th
e right places. Not only did her butt get bigger, but her hips had spread and thighs got juicy.
“I know. I got fat since I been here, but all I been doing is sitting in the house, cooking, and eating. That’s what happens when your so-called friend brings you to a new city then neglects you, but I’ll lose it eventually,” Cookie said.
“Lose it? Girl, I almost punched you in the face just now. Do you know how many bitches would kill to have a body like yours? As a matter of fact, it’s a bitch somewhere asking her doctor to make her body look like this. As far as me ignoring you, please forgive me. I was—”
Cookie cut her off. “You don’t owe me an explanation, Asia. Honestly, I was just joking and didn’t mean to make you feel bad. I know you had to readjust and spend time when your family.”
“No, Cookie. I do owe you an apology. I shouldn’t have ignored you knowing you went through the same thing as me. As far as family goes, you are a part of my family now,” Asia told her.
“Really?” Cookie asked excitedly.
“Yes, girl! You’re going to have to start coming around more. Well, I’ll take responsibility for you not being around. My mommy will be leaving this weekend, so I promise I won’t be acting funny anymore. Me, you, Nika and Patience can get together and do something.”
“You think they’ll like me?” Cookie asked.
“Who?” Asia asked, puzzled.
“The other ladies.”
“Aw, girl.” Asia waved her off. “You met them the first day we got here. Trust me, if they didn’t like you, you would know. Even if they don’t, that’s their loss. You’re my girl and that’s all that matters.”
“Thank you, Asia.”
“For what?”
“For this, for everything. You could have left me at that house with Gunner and said to hell with me, but you didn’t. You could have left me in Tennessee and came back home, but you brought me with you and you just don’t understand how grateful I am for you.”
Cookie felt herself getting emotional. Never in her twenty years of living had anyone ever done anything for her from the kindness of their heart or without an ulterior motive. Due to her situation, she’d never had friends or anyone that she felt close to. It may sound crazy, but she felt that it was in God’s plan that she and Asia met.
“Oh, don’t be getting all emotional on me now,” Asia joked as she pulled Cookie in for a hug. “Let’s go spend some of my brother’s money, girl. I need to get you out of this house.”
Cookie was game. She had been in Miami for almost a month now and really hadn’t seen what it had to offer.

Knowledge had just left from dropping Serenity off at Patience’s when he had to stop by the gas station to fill up his tank. He had just pulled his phone out of his pocket to call Asia to check on Wysdom when someone caught his eye. Oh damn, he thought to himself as he watched the woman get out of her car and walk into the gas station.
Jumping out of his car, Knowledge rushed into the gas station just as she was about to pay for her gas.
“I got it,” Knowledge said, taking a hundred dollar bill from his wallet.
The woman looked up at Knowledge with her hazel eyes and smiled.
“Thank you for the gesture, but I can take care of it,” she said.
“It’s already taken care of,” Knowledge said as he placed the money on the counter. “Use the change and give me thirty on pump six, please.”
“Thank you, Mr.…”
“Knowledge, no Mr.” He smiled.
“Thank you, Knowledge.”
“You’re welcome, Miss…”
“Courtney, hold the Miss,” she said with her hand out.
“Well, Courtney, if you were wondering how you could repay me, I have the perfect idea in mind,” Knowledge told her as the cashier gave him his change.
Courtney laughed. “What idea might you have?”
“For starters, blessing my phone with your number, and then agreeing to go out with me,” he said as he held the door open for her to walk out.
“How do I know that you’re no some deranged serial killer that preys on beautiful women?” Courtney questioned with a smile.
“What? Is that what my appearance says about me? Deranged serial killer?” he asked.
Courtney looked at him from head to toe and had to admit that even if he was a serial killer, he made a damn fine one. Damn, he is sexy.
“I’ll take that as a no,” Knowledge laughed, snapping her out of her thoughts.
“Looks can be deceiving though,” she rebutted.
“That may be true, but in my case, what you see is what you get.”
Courtney opened her car door and reached in her cup holder for one of her business cards, giving Knowledge a good view of her heart shaped ass. He couldn’t help but to lick his lips at the sight before him.
“Here’s my card. My office and cell numbers are on there. Call me whenever you are available,” she said as she handed him a card.
“So you’re an accountant, huh? Not just beauty, but brains, too. I like that.”
“Thank you,” she blushed.
“Alright then, I’ll let you go on your way. I will be calling soon,” he said before going back to his car to pump his gas.
Courtney couldn’t keep her eyes off of him as she also pumped her gas. Everything about him screamed ‘thug’ which was the exact the type of guy she didn’t deal with. Something about him piqued her interest, though, so she would definitely be looking forward to his phone call. You know what they say, she thought. Bad boys ain’t no good, but the good boys ain’t no fun.
Chapter Sixteen
Cookie was standing in the middle of the closet trying to figure out what to wear. Tonight, she, Asia, Khyree and Cole were going out, and to say that she was nervous would be an understatement. She had never been around a man in a situation that didn’t end with her being on her back.
“Colana,” Asia said into the phone, calling Cookie by her real name, “stop stressing and pick an outfit. It’s just lunch and whatever else we end up getting into.”
Cookie had called Asia on FaceTime to help her pick out an outfit because she didn’t want to give the wrong impression with the wrong outfit.
“Ewww, don’t call me that,” she whined.
“Seriously, girl. What’s the struggle over that way? We went shopping last week so I know you have a whole closet full. All that sexiness you got going on, I know you’ll look good in whatever you wear.”
“That’s just it, Asia. I don’t want to be too sexy. I want to be comfortable and confident and let that be my sexiness. I’m used to men looking at me like a piece of meat,” Cookie explained.
Asia nodded her head in understanding. She was fully understanding where Cookie was coming from now. Her background was making her very insecure and Asia hated that for her. She kept trying to tell Cookie that it wasn’t her fault that she was forced into that lifestyle. “Alright, lil mama. Put the camera on the jean section,” Asia told her.
Thanks to Asia, two hours later, Cookie was ready to go. She had just finished her hair and was putting on her shoes when she heard the front door open and Asia calling her name.
“Colana!” Asia yelled as she, Khyree and Cole walked into the house.
“Here I come!” Cookie yelled back.
Asia rushed upstairs so she could see Cookie before everyone else. When she reached the room that was hers once upon a time, she lightly tapped on the door before walking in.
“Let me see,” Asia said as she walked in the room.
Cookie stood up and struck a pose for Asia before giggling. Asia clapped her hands and she did a little dance.
“Girl, you look good!” Asia yelled.
“Thank you. You picked it out,” Cookie complimented.
Asia looked down at her outfit and nodded her head in approval. “We have to take a ussie,” Asia said as she pulled out her phone.
“A what?” Cookie laughed.
“It’s
like a selfie but with two people,” Asia told her.
While they were upstairs flicking it up, the men were left downstairs to play the waiting game. Khyree jumped off the couch and ran to the stairs.
“If y’all don’t bring y’all asses on! I’m too hungry to be playing with y’all,” he yelled.
“Uhn uhn, rudeness. Lose the ‘tude, like now,” Asia said with her face scrunched up as she and Cookie came down the stairs.
“Bout time,” Cole yelled.
Asia waved both of the men off as she grabbed her clutch off the couch. Cookie laughed at the trio before reaching for a hug.
“Hey, Khyree. Hey, Cole,” she said as she hugged both of them.
“What’s up, girl? You look good,” Khyree said.
“Thank you,” Asia and Cookie said at the same time.
“I was talking to her, ugly,” Khyree laughed.
“I know,” Asia laughed with him. “But since you wanna rush somebody, let’s go.”

Knowledge and Courtney had their first date at The Capital Grille.
“So, Mr. Knowledge, do you have any kids?” Courtney asked, knowing a man this fine had to have a few babies running around somewhere.
“Actually, I do. Two beautiful daughters named Serenity and Wysdom.” Knowledge beamed brightly.
“Knowledge, Serenity and Wysdom,” Courtney said with a little chuckle. “That’s cute. How old are they?”
“Serenity is one and Wysdom just turned seven months.”
Hearing that made Courtney raise an eyebrow. His kids are five months apart? she thought as she tried to digest that information.
Knowledge laughed at the look on her face. He wouldn’t have expected anything less when he told someone about his daughters.
“It’s a long story that we’ll have to get into another day.”
“Are their mothers still in the picture?” she asked.
Knowledge had to think about what ‘still in the picture’ meant. Chelsea’s grimy ass was missing in action while Asia was on some other shit. If she meant if he was still sleeping with either one of them, then that would be a definite no.
