Dot thought he saw a flash of something in his eyes at the sight, but then the man recovered so quickly, and his eyes were so dark and scary that Dot brushed it off. He needed to be just as tough as this guy seemed.
“She pissed me off. I’m been stuck with her for fucking hours.”
“Raul isn’t going to be happy about this.”
“I didn’t fuck her, so he should be fine. That’s one piece of ass he isn’t going to share.”
Cynthia moaned, and Dot moved closer, gun in hand, and kicked her.
“Shut the fuck up, bitch, or I’ll kill you.”
He glanced at the big guy, who seemed to be biting the inside of his cheek.
“She’s got a great body, don’t you think? Big tits, too.” He lowered the gun, using it to press between her breasts. He smirked and looked up at the guy.
“Let’s move.”
He whistled, and a moment later, the door opened, and Dot lifted his gun as the other guy entered.
In a flash, without a sound, Dot felt the pain as the one guy closest to him knocked the gun from his hand.
He turned to fight, reaching for the knife on his side but not getting it out. He and the guy tumbled to the floor. He struggled to reach for the gun that had dropped, and when he reached for it, he felt the impact of the bullets as the low swoosh followed.
As he turned, two shots rang out, hitting him in the chest and his throat.

Breaker looked at Stack as he brought his wrist up to his mouth and spoke into the hidden wrist mic.
“All clear. Assailant dead. Need paramedics. Victim unconscious in critical condition.”
Stack knelt on the floor next to Cynthia, checking her pulse.
“I’m glad you killed that fucker. Look what he did to her.”
Breaker held a firm expression, trying not to let his own anger and disgust get the better of him. He was tired of seeing shit like this on a regular basis. At least Cynthia was still alive. He opened the door as a swarm of help invaded the scene like an army of fighters ready to help. He loved this town, these people. Maybe it was time for him and his team to finally set some roots and settle down? It was time for a change, and maybe Pearl was the place to make that happen.

Dugen had gotten to Cynthia first. He fell to his knees when he saw the sight. The son of a bitch had beaten her and tied her up like some animal. There was so much blood. Her head had a gash on the side, her ankle was swollen so big it looked fake, and her blouse was ripped open, her face battered, and eyes and lips swollen. He felt like crying. An animal had done this, not a human being, and he had no sympathy for how her captor died. In fact, if he were still alive right now, he would kill him himself.
His team was thanking the two men who’d saved her life. He would be indebted to them forever.
“Let us take a look,” the paramedic said.
Dugen watched as Merlin and Karl cut the ropes from her wrists and helped to ease her arms down. She didn’t moan or make a sound.
“Her pulse is very weak. We have to get her transported immediately. Can the chopper land down the road in the clearing?” one paramedic said to Wyatt.
He nodded and then spoke into his communication device. Then suddenly it was a rush again to get her help. They all assisted getting her onto the gurney and then following down the dirt path to the ambulance.
“One of you can go in the chopper. The others have to meet them at the hospital,” the other paramedic said to them.
“You go, Perkins. You’re the commander of this family. You watch over her, and we’ll get there fast,” Dugen told him, and Perkins looked at all of them, the seriousness in his eyes reflecting the fear they all felt consuming the atmosphere.
“We’ll get you there fast. Come on,” Wyatt told them, and they hurried down the dirt driveway to a cluster of awaiting law enforcement vehicles.
Help had come from far and wide. Word had spread fast that one of Pearl’s own was in trouble, and they had all jumped in to help. He loved this town and all the people and friends they’d made. He loved Cynthia and wanted her to trust in them and in that love they shared. He prayed that she made it through this because life just wouldn’t be the same without Cynthia.
Chapter 9
The waiting was killing all of them. Perkins looked at his team, their friends, and Cynthia’s friends around them. Dee, Maggie, and Georgia, her close friends, were so upset. They came over and gave him and his team hugs, told them that they were there for them, and that Cynthia would pull through. But he had been in the chopper with Cynthia as her vitals weakened and her body went into shock. He heard them say that she had internal injuries, her ankle was broken, and the most serious was a head injury.
He ran his hand over his jaw. He would never forget the sight of her when they got into the cabin. She looked as though she was dead already. She was white as a ghost, and she wasn’t moving.
Someone cleared their throat, and Karl tapped his arm as he stood up. The moment Perkins saw the doctor standing there, he got up, too.
“How is she, Dr. Miles?” Dugen asked.
“She’s a strong young woman. There was some trauma to the brain. We’re monitoring it now to be sure that there’s no hemorrhaging and that it’s just from the blunt hit she more than likely sustained from the car accident. If she had gotten to us quicker, then we wouldn’t be dealing with that. Her other injuries are less critical. She has some cracked ribs.”
“Jesus,” Merlin said and ran his hand over his mouth.
“Also, a broken ankle that we have reset and splinted for now, but it will be hard-casted to heal. She sustained some damage to her throat and esophagus, and we won’t know the depth of the injuries to her eyes until she’s conscious and able to speak. From what I could tell during examination, they just seem badly bruised.” The doctor swallowed hard.
“She’ll be in intensive care for quite some time. Her recovery is going to take weeks, if not months, and we’ll be monitoring her round the clock for the next several days.”
“When can we see her?” Dugen asked.
“You can see her shortly. One at a time would be best.”
“Thank you, Doctor,” Perkins said and shook his hand and then the others followed, doing the same.
“If we had gotten to her sooner,” Karl stated.
“No. We can’t like that. It won’t do Cynthia or us any good. We just have to stick together and be here for her, take care of her, and show her that she can trust us,” Perkins said to him.
“We’re not going anywhere,” Dugen said.
“No. She’s our woman. We’re staying right here and getting her the best medical care she can get,” Merlin said, and they all agreed.
They could have lost Cynthia. They still could, and that made Perkins realize how important it was to prove their love for her and make sure she never suffered from any pain ever again.
Epilogue
“Really, Dugen, is this necessary?” Cynthia asked, wrapping her arms around his neck as he carried downstairs to breakfast.
“I love carrying you around, and, yes, it is necessary. That cast weighs more than you do.”
She gave his chest a slap. “It does not.” She laid her head on his shoulder and inhaled his cologne.
She could have missed out on all of this. All because she wasn’t able to let down the walls around her heart and let her men love her. The several weeks had been hell, but being home, in their house, being cared for, made all the difference with her recovery. Even the doctors were surprised by how quickly she healed. She had a new outlook on life, and even though she’d lost a lot of weight and was very weak, she didn’t worry because she had her four men, her soldiers to take care of her.
“Hey, beautiful, need something to drink?” Karl asked, approaching as Dugen gently placed her down on the chair by the kitchen table.
They had placed a thick, comfortable cushion on it because it hurt to sit still. She needed to s
trengthen her muscle tone. Dugen and Karl were teaching her how to box and lift weights, ensuring that she could build up her strength again and also defend herself. They had been so supportive.
She had been supportive, trusting, and loving to the four of them as well. They’d helped to save her life, and they’d taken care of her bills and debt and even helped to sell the house and make a profit for her to have money in the bank. But that didn’t even matter. She was with her four lovers and always would be.
She adored each of them so much, and as Merlin and Perkins joined them in the kitchen, they both came over to kiss her.
Perkins had the most difficult time with what had happened to Cynthia. But they all suffered with nightmares, and even she couldn’t sleep at night without her men surrounding her and a little help with some non-addictive sleep aids. Even Karl and Dugen had nightmares in which they woke up not knowing where they were, and she had calmed them down and asked them to protect her and love her, and that seemed to make them relax again.
She realized very quickly that they shared a special bond, a connection unlike anything else she’d ever experienced before.
She would do anything for them, as they would do anything for her.
She was glad that she had explained why she hadn’t told them about Raul and the debt and about talking to Dean and him helping, too. Dean and his team had visited her in the hospital, and she asked them to not be strangers because they were another connection to Michael and she wanted to hold on to the good connections so he would always be part of her life and theirs.
“So the cast comes off today. Are you excited?” Perkins asked her, taking the seat next to her and placing her hand over the one he had on her thigh.
“Very excited,” she said and thought about how hard it was making love to them with the cast on. They made due, but she had accidently kicked Karl during the night when she was dreaming, and she’d kneed Perkins in a sensitive spot when Dugen tickled her, surprising her. She had kicked her leg forward, her cast landing in Perkins’s crotch.
“I know I’m glad. I won’t have to wear a safety cup in my underwear to bed,” he teased.
She gave his shoulder a slap. “That was an accident. Besides, I said I would make it up to you as soon as it was off.”
“And how are you going to do that?” he asked as Karl rubbed her shoulders and Dugen and Merlin came to stand in front of her, smiling.
“Well, first of all, no more wearing underwear or any clothes to bed. I want you naked and ready to fill me up.”
“Oh really?” Karl asked, squeezing her shoulders.
She reached up covered his hand with hers and gave him a smile. “Yes, really. I plan on lying you down on the bed, Perkins, and having my wicked way with you,” she teased, and he leaned forward and kissed her lips.
She knew she still wasn’t quite up to making love to all four of them together. She got tired fast, felt weak, and needed time for her body to heal and recover completely. But they had all the time in the world.
“I have some plans of my own for you, baby,” Perkins told her.
“We all have some plans for you,” Dugen added and winked.
“Well, I plan on keeping all four of you quite busy. We haven’t been able to make love too much, and that needs to change.”
“Honey, we just made love to you last night,” Karl said to her.
“But not this morning,” she teased.
Perkins glanced at the clock. “We don’t have to be to Doc’s office for another two hours. I say we rectify our little screw-up this morning and make our woman a happy woman.”
He lifted her up, scooped her into his arms, and started carrying her out of the room. She covered his mouth and kissed him as she ran her hands along his chest, pinching his nipple.
He pressed her against the wall in the hallway, lifted her skirt, tore her panties, and then undid his jeans.
He kissed her deeply, using his muscles to hold her up with one arm and his hips as he shoved down his pants. He was so damn sexy. All four of her men were, and she wanted them to take her together even if it meant she passed out from exhaustion.
“I thought you were taking me to the bedroom,” she said, gasping for breath as he suckled her neck and aligned his cock with her pussy.
“While you were in the hospital recovering, we all had time to think about how much we love you and want to make you ours in every way. We want your full trust, your complete submission to the four of us, and to allow us to love you in every way.”
“I do love you. All of you.”
He eased his cock into her pussy.
“Well, we want to ensure that, so we plan on making love to you in every part of this house,” Merlin told her.
“Against every wall,” Perkins said and shoved into her deeply, making her gasp and hold on to his shoulders.
“On every piece of furniture,” Dugen said as he lifted her chin and brought his lips to hers, kissing her.
“Every fucking day for as long as possible,” Karl said, and Dugen released her lips, and she smiled wide.
“Well then, we better get started because, in between, I expect my four sexy soldiers to fulfill some major fantasies I was thinking of while I slept and recovered in that hospital.”
Perkins pulled out and then shoved back in. She gasped.
“Oh really? Like what kind of fantasies?” Merlin asked as he started to strip by pulling off his shirt.
She licked her lips and moaned softly as Perkins thrust into her pussy, fucking her against the hallway wall.
“Is there a sex toy store around? I heard about these things called nipple clamps, and I thought I might like to give that a try. Oh, and we should hit the pharmacy. I’m going to need some vitamins and definitely some B-12. I have a feeling we’re all going to need some extra energy for what I have planned for the four of you.”
They all looked shocked with eyes wide and then huge grins on their faces, and Cynthia had to hide her smile.
“Nipple clamps?” Dugen asked as he rubbed his hands together and looked at her chest.
“Bedroom now, Perkins. Let’s get these fantasies started now,” Merlin said, and Cynthia gasped as Perkins pulled from her body, placed her over his shoulder, and ran with her up the stairs and to the bedroom with the others following and undressing behind her.
She giggled and felt aroused and ready to make love as all their sexy muscles came into view first and then their big, hard cocks, ready to claim her and fill her up.
She couldn’t help but smile wide. Life was perfect and all because she’d finally given love a chance.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
People seem to be more interested in my name than where I get my ideas for my stories from. So I might as well share the story behind my name with all my readers.
My momma was born and raised in New Orleans. At the age of twenty, she met and fell in love with an Irishman named Patrick Riley Dwyer. Needless to say, the family was a bit taken aback by this as they hoped she would marry a family friend. It was a modern day arranged marriage kind of thing and my momma downright refused.
Being that my momma’s families were descendents of the original English speaking Southerners, they wanted the family blood line to stay pure. They were wealthy and my father’s family was poor.
Despite attempts by my grandpapa to make Patrick leave and destroy the love between them, my parents married. They recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.
I am one of six children born to Patrick and Lynn Dwyer. I am a combination of both Irish and a true Southern belle. With a name like Dixie Lynn Dwyer it’s no wonder why people are curious about my name.
Just as my parents had a love story of their own, I grew up intrigued by the lifestyles of others. My imagination as well as my need to stray from the straight and narrow made me into the woman I am today.
