“Ay Mia who was ole girl at the door?” Dean asked walking into the living room where Mia was sitting surrounded by her girls. Mia sucked her teeth “Why?!” She asked with attitude and jealousy. “Oh nothing, I was just asking cause shorty had a bad ass attitude.” “Ohh that’s Ky’s father fake brother’s little blackaneese whore.” “Oh so she half chink, that would explain why her eyes chinky in the corners. You better be lucky she ain’t karate kick ya ass for poppin off at the door.” That got a little laugh from the room. “Oh please, no I don’t think she is Asian I just think she got them eyes. I can’t stand that lil uppity bitch. I can’t wait till that nigga Los is on to the next one and put that lil bitch back on her ass. As soon as he do, I’ma stomp a mud hole in that hoe.” Mia gritted enviously. “Girl please, I can’t see that nigga droppin her. Hell nah, not the way he carry her. Ain’t no nigga goin to treat a chick like that if he planning to leave her. That lil bitch switch cars up like she switch panties. I saw her in like 4 different whips in one week.” Mia’s friend exaggerated. “Damn when did you become her number one Stan?” “Bitch please ain’t no one her Stan I’m just stating the obvious.” “Yeah whateva, I will still beat that lil bitch ass,” Mia stated. “Don’t sleep on ole girl she got a lil thump game. I saw her thuggin out wit Big Tay and em. She gave them a lil run for they money, and it was two of them on her,” Another one of Mia’s girls said. “Thump game! Thump game! What type of thump game can this bitch possibly have? She from fucking Connecticut or some shit!” Mia screamed. “Ha? No she not. That bitch may act like she from Connecticut or somewhere, but she’s a straight up South Philly hoodrat. I went to elementary school with her. She used to live around the corner from me. Her and her cousin, damn what’s that bitch name Ty, Tyana or Tyeena or some shit,” Mia friend said. Ky gasped hearing Ty’s name. “That’s my mommy’s name!” Ky exclaimed excitedly. Ky was sitting right in the mix of things amongst all the grown folks talk. “So wait, Ty and Lucky are cousins?” “Yes,” Ky said. Mia thought about it for a second as she realized they did favor each other. Mia looked at Ky with evil eyes. “Ky what the fuck did I tell you about calling another bitch Mommy? I will whoop your ass! Now take ya grown ass to bed!” Mia was so upset her hands started shaking. She jumped up and stormed to her bedroom slamming the door behind her.

Tears rushed to Mia’s eyes as her hands became sweaty; she needed a fix and fast. She grabbed her Louis handbag from her doorknob and rummaged through it but came up empty. Dean followed her into the room intending to put his plan into play immediately. “Shorty come here. You know I got you.” He said handing her a baggie of coke. She snorted the bag hungrily. When Mia was done Dean turned her chin towards him and in her glassy eyes he saw everything he needed to see. Hurt, jealousy, envy and revenge.

“Mia I don’t like the way that nigga is carrying you. Know that I would never treat you like that. This lame got the money to just cop you something and he got his bustdown riding clean while you bumming rides. He treating his baby moms like some random pussy, that nigga a clown for that, real talk,” Dean cooed into her ear as he played in her super wet pussy with his fingers. “Yeah Nice got the money to buy me anything. I brought his daughter into this world, he owes me. He’s even letting this bitch take my daughter away, calling her mommy when she came outta my pussy! I went through hours of labor having Ky, not that hoe. This nigga gon get his, as God as my witness he is,” Mia said blinking and letting a flood gate of silent tears roll down her face. “Fuck that hoe nigga, Mia I know I ain’t holdin like ya baby father and that’s the shit you probably used to, but I would never treat you like he do.” “What Dean? I don’t care about what he got. He can’t compare to you.” “Don’t even worry about that Ma; just know that I love you. And If I had that nigga’s gwap I would treat you like you need to be treated,” Dean said while bringing her close to ecstasy by sucking on her neck and fingering her pussy. He lowered his head in between her legs and started to put down some of his best head game to date. “I know a way we can get his type of money baby. All I need you to do is tell me you down for a nigga, and it’s you and me together forever,” he whispered in between slurping and sucking on her pussy. “Yes, it’s me and you baby, I’m ya down bitch whateva you need me to do I’ll do,” Mia managed to say between moans of pleasure.

  Temptation

As promised the delivery was made to the Bodega on 115th street. To outsiders there was nothing unusual or out of order. A delivery truck with the name Food Express on written on the side pulled up to the Bodega and unloaded everything from laundry detergent sodas, potato chips, boxes of cereal, and candy. This was a normal delivery and restock of corner store goods. Lissette looked at the three dudes that unloaded cases of soda’s and all type of things for a sign that they were going to slip a few barrels or suitcases of coke but they didn’t, they dropped off the food goods and kept it moving.

Lissette stood there puzzled and upset. She started to call Los and ask him what type of games he was playing when she eyed a box of detergent that was left by one of the delivery guys on the desk in the back room. She picked it up and cut it open at the spout and was shocked to see it filled with a clear plastic bag that was filled to the top with white powder. Lissette found a knife to cut the bag then stuck her finger in to get a taste. Her tongue was paralyzed on contact with the drug. “Damn that’s that straight sushi! Raw as fuck!” She exclaimed as she looked around in utter amazement. This nigga was good! It amazed her how innovative he was with his delivery. Who would have ever thought? She laughed to herself as she looked around the storage room packed with grade A coke disguised as grocery goods.

Lucky was at the professional chef styled stainless steel stove trying to master a pasta recipe she downloaded from the food channel’s website when Los walked into the kitchen. “That’s right Luck, cook that shit up! I’m hungry. What you making?” he asked putting his head all in her way. All he could see was chicken, broccoli, some other veggies, with some type of cream sauce. “Carlos move,” Lucky said. He grabbed her up from behind and started dry humping her butt like a dog in heat. Lucky giggled and swatted him with her hand. “Baby stop playing. I’m cooking stop. You gon make me burn the food.” Carlos backed up but then came right back grabbing her one last time and grinding slow and hard on her ass pulling her head back by her hair and biting her on the neck like a vampire. Lucky gasped and nearly dropped her mixing spoon. “When I’m done eating this food, I’ma eat you, then you gon hop on this dick,” Los said in a demanding but sexy tone. He finally backed up slapping her on the ass hard. Before Lucky could recover from the sting he left on her ass, he scooped up a spoon full of pasta and ate it. “Boy! Stop digging in my damn pan! It’s not even ready yet.” Lucky threatened by showing him the big mixing spoon. “Damn ma that shit bangin,” Los said with a mouth full of food switching it from one side of his mouth to the other trying to cool it down as he sat down at the island. Lucky looked over at him and had to laugh. “You see Pa that’s what you get, you should’ve let it cool down.”

“So Mami how you been doing wit studying for the LSTAT?” “I’ve been doing pretty good.” “A’ight so if I give you a pop quiz right now you would ace it?” Carlos challenged. “Yeah I sure would,” Lucky said looking back at him. Lucky’s test date was fast approaching. She was stressing a little bit, but she was confident she would pass with a good score.

Los’s business phone went off cutting their conversation short. Lucky shot him a disapproving look. He looked down at his phone and noticed it was Lissette. For some odd reason his heart started to quicken with guilt, although he hadn’t done anything wrong. He looked over at Lucky as if she would know who was on the phone. He decided to just chill and answer the phone as if it were any one of his male business associates. “Gotdamn Baby what’t good?” Los asked. There was a pause on the phone before Lissette answered. “Wow so I’m your baby now? I like the sound of that,” she said flirtatiously. He chose to ignore Lissette’s comment “Daddy
taste it now,” Lucky said approaching him with a spoon full of pasta. She held it up to his mouth and waited till he ate it. “How is it with the white wine in it?” Los gave her a thumb up, and Lucky’s face lit up like a Christmas tree. She turned to walk off to give him privacy so he could handle his business. Carlos slapped Lucky on her ass again as she went bouncing off before he got up and walked into the study to finish the call.

“So that’s wifey I take it?” Lissette asked. “Yup” Los answered. “Awww isn’t that so cute, she calls you Daddy. She sounds really pretty.” Los chuckled a little. “How the hell can a person sound pretty?” “I don’t know, can’t explain it but she does.” Carlos hurried to switch the subject never feeling comfortable talking about Lucky. “What up? What is it that I can do for you?” “I need to see you. I got something that’s gonna make you a very happy man.” “Damn already, I’m impressed; it’s only been a lil over a month.” Los clapped his hands in applause making Lissette giggle. “Yeah so anyways, it’s gonna be probably another week until I can get up there” “A week?! That long?” “That’s the best I can do right now ma,” Los said. “Alright, I don’t really have a choice. I can hardly wait a week. I miss you,” Lissette said. Los jerked his head back. He didn’t know if she was serious or just being cautious in case anyone was listening in. “Well like I said, I’ll be uptop in a week, one,” Los said hanging up the phone. He thought about Lissette and how she could be a big problem. He had to stay focused when he was around her. She was beautiful. And any man would happily take to her advances but not him. He loved Lucky far too much and he couldn’t put no random pussy before his baby.

While Lucky stood in the kitchen making Los a plate she couldn’t help but let her mind wonder to a thought she had been trying to suppress. Weeks ago when Los went to New York and stayed overnight without giving her a heads up, he came back home smelling of a woman’s perfume. She thought she was hallucinating, but when she stumbled across his shirt as she was throwing clothing in the washer she gave it a second whiff, and knew her mind wasn’t playing tricks on her. She could’ve confronted him but a part of her was too afraid of facing the truth and losing him. Lucky was in denial for sure; she didn’t want to believe that Los was back up to no good. She loved him too much to even fathom him doing her dirty again. Most importantly she knew this time their love wouldn’t survive more betrayal. She would never be happy with him or secure in their relationship if she found out he cheated again. He cried with her that night a long time ago, promised that he would never ever hurt her again the way he did. But now it seemed he could’ve broken that promise. Tears started to well up in her eyes as thoughts of facing the hard fact that maybe Carlos just didn’t love her the way she loved him plagued her mind.

Lucky jumped out of her skin as Carlos wrapped his arms around her from behind. “I didn’t mean to scare you Baby girl. What you thinkin about so hard?” Los asked sealing his question with a tender kiss on her cheek. “Oh nothing, just my test I guess.” Los was rocking both him and Lucky side to side as he hugged her from behind. He stopped immediately when he heard Lucky talk. “Yo Luck you crying?” Los asked sounding alarmed and spinning her around to face him. He peered into her eyes and noticed tears brimming the rims of her eyes. Lucky blinked and silent tears rolled down her face. “No,” Lucky said wiping the tears from her eyes quickly. “I’m just a little stressed with this test coming up and all, that’s it, it’s nothing,” Lucky said standing on her tippy toes and kissing him on the lips. Los looked at her with concern for a long moment. It must have been just the test he concluded, because by the time they finished eating dinner all was forgotten and Lucky was back to normal.

One week rolled around super fast and Los was headed back up to the City with Nice coming along with him this time. He had to pick up his money and he didn’t want anyone trying to pull any funny shit. Both Nice and Los walked into the salon and you could almost hear a pin drop. Lissette walked up on them shortly after they walked in. She walked over with a huge smile and stood on her tippy toes and gave Los two peck kisses on his cheeks the customary Spanish way. “Hi my name is Lissette and yours?” “It’s Nice” Nice said shaking her hand. Okay well damn now I know where all the fine ass paid men are at. I have to get my girls together rooaaad trip! Philly, Philly here we come. Lissette thought to herself while holding onto Nice’s hand with a smile on her face. “Well come on, you two can follow me back here,” Lissette said taking the lead to walk into her office at the back of the salon.

Los and Nice entered the small office where two men were waiting. Lissette had already informed Los that she would have two of her cousin’s there with her and he didn’t mind. He knew as a woman she probably felt more comfortable with her peoples being there. “Los this is my cousin Francisco and this man right here is my cousin Jose. Francisco, Jose this is Los and Nice.” Los just nodded towards the men. He took a seat at the table while Nice stayed posted up against the door with his hand near his burner. Lissette went to a stand up locker in the office and pulled out two large suitcases and a duffle bag. She pulled two money counters out of the duffle bag and placed the two suitcases and money counters on the table. Once Lissette opened both the suitcases exposing nothing but stacks on top of stacks she looked into Los’s eyes. “Well roll up your sleeves because I know you want to make sure everything is here.”

For nearly three hours they sat and counted making sure every penny that was owed to Los was there. In the end it was all there and Los passed both suitcases to Nice. “I need to re-up this time I’m going to need 30 Here’s the money for 25 of them, but I’m going to need the other 5 on consignment.” Lissette said with pleading eyes. This is exactly the reason why Los wouldn’t fuck with you if you didn’t have your money right. He hated lending work out on consignment but he knew he had to do this as a favor for the Don. “A’ight same time next week at the bodega 115th and the other on Phelmoore, the shipments will be split between them.” A smile spread across her face. “Okay good lookin out,” she said. Los was just about to get up and go when a puzzled look crossed his face. He couldn’t understand how Lissette and her peoples could be still under water, how could they not be able to pay him his percentage as they did and just cop what they needed from him without consignment? Francisco spoke to Lissette in Spanish his tone was urgent and angry. “Lissette what’s goin on? This is it? We just let him go with all our money and we don’t get nothing in return?” “Lissette cut her eyes and gave him an evil glare. He was new to the game and he didn’t know the way of the business. “Francisco shut up!” she said to him in Spanish. “No Lissette how are we getting nothing in return for all that money?” “Fuck yeah I’m just leaving out of here with all this money. This is my money. That was my work I gave y’all on consignment! So was’sup we gotta problem here?” Los responded in Spanish with a screw face. Lissette’s eyes bulged in surprise and her cousin Francisco looked as if he were going to shit his pants. “Los I’m sorry, excuse my cousin he’s new to this and he doesn’t know much about the game, trust me he didn’t mean any harm. I just didn’t explain everything to him,” Lissette pleaded trying to smooth things out. The tension in the room was so thick you could cut it. “Ayo Lissette you need to leave his young ass at home if he not ready for all of this. You know talk like that can get someone murked quick, niggaz tend to get real sensitive about they gwap,” Los said while burning a hole through Francisco. “I know, again I apologize and thank you for what you’re doing in fronting us the work.” “Yeah.” Los said still feeling some type of way. He got up to leave then stopped dead in his tracks.

“Lissette let me ask you somethin, how did you get rid of those last bricks?” Lissette shrugged her shoulders. “Like we always do, we divi the work between each lieutenant who head up different spots. They divi it up amongst they teams and flip it.” “So you gave each lieutenant raw bricks? You didn’t step on it first?” Lissette shook her head no. “That’s your problem; the shit I gave you was grade A ma. That raw
could kill a healthy prize winning horse. It could’ve been stepped on once or twice and still been equivalent to the shit you were copping from across the border. You should’ve stepped on it. If you had you would have been able to make damn near double the profit, paid me what you owed, and been able to re-up paying in full with no work on consignment. Now I betchu one of your lieutenants knew what that shit was worth, they probably already flipped they money three ways and made a killin. I’m not trying to tell you how to run ya shit ma, but if you want to survive this drought or this game period you had betta smarten up.” Lissette and her cousin’s just stood there looking dumbfounded. Even a little offended that someone was schooling them on how to run their business. “Thanks for the advice, I’ll look into that,” she said feeling a little embarrassed.

Los and Nice were on their way back to Philly heading towards the Jersey turnpike when Los’s phone rang. He looked at the screen noticing it was Lissette. “Yo, ma what good?” “Hey I’m just calling to apologize again for earlier.” “We gucci, it’s business, I ain’t take it personal.” “Well me and a couple of my girls are headed to AC. For a lil fun and I was wondering if you and your boy wanted to come through to have a few drinks?” She could sense Los’s hesitation. “I want to at least buy you a few drinks to show you my appreciation.” “Umm AC. Ha? Nah I’ma have to take a rain check.” “Really why all work and no play? The day is still young,” Lissette pressed. Nice heard AC. and his casino loving ass nearly lost his mind. “Los why not we passing by AC. Anyways,” Nice said in his other ear. Los glared over at Nice causing Nice to laugh. Nice knew why Los didn’t want to be around that girl for too long. “A’ight I’ll stop through for a quick minute. Which casino y’all gonna be at?” Los asked
