Samantha giggled and pulled his head from between her legs. “You’re such a big baby. Sit back.” She commanded, as he rolled over onto his back and she opened his robe.

His cock was fully erect, and sat on top of the bed of messy curls that was his pubic hair. She slid her lips over his cock, and her tongue massaged the tips and sides. Garrett wriggled and cried as she furiously sucked him off. She spat on the tip of his cock, and worked the rest of it down the shaft with her hands. She gripped him tightly and he grabbed a pillow to keep Kenneth from hearing for the third time that week.

Her fingers caressed his sack as her tongue grazed the skin on the underside of his dick. He came in a fluid burst, and she swallowed what she could while the rest dribbled down from the corner of her mouth.

Garrett sat upright, and smoothed her hair. “I guess I just needed a little release before work.” He kissed her on the lips. “Thank you, Samantha.”

He got up and walked over to her bathroom for a quick rinse, and returned a few moments later to Samantha brushing past him to brush her teeth. When she returned, she slipped into a loose fitting shirt and a pair of dark jeans. She added her black sandals, and frowned at the absence of more shirts like the one she was wearing.

‘These shirts are getting tighter and tighter; I don’t think Kenneth is likely to start making anything low carb.’ She thought, as she spritzed herself with a floral scented perfume.

Garrett escaped into the next room to finish getting ready, and Samantha scooped all of her notes into her arms and headed towards the garden to wait for Laura.

  *******

Laura approached the gazebo; a cold coffee was in her hands. She eased onto the bench next to Samantha. “Good morning! How are you?”

Taken aback, Samantha replied, “I’m well, Laura. How do you feel today?”

“Better every day. Last night, Michaela threw a big party. She invited a lot of the guys from my classes.”

  “What did you guys do?”

“Michaela did a little this, a little that. I had a lot to clean up this morning.”

Garrett approached the gazebo and smiled brightly at Laura. “Good morning, Laura! Have you and Samantha started without me?”

“Only a bit… how are you?”

He sat down next to Laura and took out a note pad. “I’ll be doing wonderfully when I know that you’re doing better. How have things been?”

Samantha cringed at a sharp pang in her belly. ‘What the hell? Cramps? Now?’ She fidgeted throughout most of the conversation, trying to soothe the painful cramps in her lower belly. Just as Laura was informing them on how the new meds were doing, Samantha jumped to her feet. “I… need to run to the restroom. I think that late night snack that I prepared myself last night isn’t settling well this morning.”

Garrett eyed her for a moment but nodded. “Alright, we’ll be here.”

Samantha walked back to the main house and nodded at Kenneth as she entered through the kitchen. She walked upstairs to her bedroom and checked her underwear for evidence to what she hoped, but only saw the clean seat of her white panties.

“Fuck.” She whispered. Samantha reached into her purse and yanked out her debit card.

She crept down the stairs, looking over the railing for Garrett or Laura. When neither of them walked through the living room, Samantha bolted out of the front door. She ran down the path to the front gate, and slammed the button on the wall for the gates to release. They craned open, and she sped down the street, where the roads to town began to pick up again.

Samantha walked for a half mile until a gas station appeared down the road. She walked in and waved at the cashier. Her hands trembled as she searched for a bottle of water and then her trembling hands found her second goal. A simple pregnancy test was cradled in her hands, only three dollars a box. She grabbed three and approached the counter.

The young man smiled at her and scooped all of her items into a bag. “How’s everything going today?”

“It’s going…… well, I don’t know yet.” She punctuated her statement with a chuckle. He chuckled as well, and handed her the bagged items as she swiped her card. “Well, I hope it gets better.”

She grinned at him, and began the slow walk home to the manor.

  *******

When she made it back to the manor almost a full hour later, Garrett had been having a drink with Kenneth in the kitchen. She giggled at the sight of Kenneth and Garrett drinking rum on ice.

  “You guys are day drinking?”

Kenneth shrugged. “It’s not like the rest of the world can see us.”

Garrett chuckled. “That’s true. Where did you go, Samantha?”

“I just needed some air… I guess seeing all of these mentally distressed people has been getting to me.”

Garrett smiled and motioned for her to take a seat next to him. “It happens to every great psychiatrist. No worries. Want a drink? I understand if you don’t want rum this early, maybe a martini?”

The stirring in her belly started again. “No… I think I’ll pass.” She held up her water bottle. “I just need this right now.”

Garrett shrugged this time and she sat with them for a while as Kenneth poured them more rum. When she felt another cramp, she excused herself again and walked upstairs to her bedroom.

She shut the door behind her and sighed. ‘What’s the worst that could happen? I’m pregnant and there’s a possibility that the baby could be half dragon? Honestly, it would be more well equipped for life than I am.’ She shook one of the tests out of its packaging and rushed into the bathroom.

She squatted above the toilet and the stick. Once she was finished, she sat on the edge of the tub. “I hope that Garrett isn’t too blown away by this...”

The alarm that she set on her phone began to squeak and she silenced it. She leaned over to look at the results.

“How do you even take care of a baby dragon?!” She howled.

  *******

Garrett stretched out in the blue armchair and sighed as he poured himself another glass of wine. ‘Samantha is being so distant… maybe it’s because it’s almost time for her to go.’ His leg bounced up and down and he exhaled and caught a small plume of smoke.

‘I haven’t been this nervous in years.’ He set the wine down and peered around the room for something that didn’t have reminders of Samantha written all over it. His notes reminded him of Samantha, his bed most certainly did, and he was too drunk to stumble downstairs and ask Kenneth for a late night snack.

His door creaked open and small footsteps pounded against the carpet. He lifted his head and smiled at Samantha stepping into his bedroom.

“Samantha, I’m not in any condition for sex, but if you’re interested in talking I think that I can manage that.”

Samantha chuckled and sat on the arm of his chair. “I’m not in the mood for sex. I don’t imagine that I will be for a while.”

Garrett shook his head and focused. “What’s wrong? Did I do something? Did I go too far?”

Samantha took his hands in hers and kissed one of them. “No, you couldn’t be more perfect. I’ve never had a man treat me the way that you have.”

“Why did you come in here like you were delivering bad news?”

  “Well… I took a tes-“

“Oh, don’t worry I sent a glowing recommendation to the dean at your school you’ll be doing fin-“

“Garrett, just let me finish. I took a pregnancy test. I know that I’ll be moving back in a few weeks, and I’m completely prepared to raise this kid alone. You didn’t sign up for this, and I’m sorry. I don’t want to disrupt your life. Am I rambling?”

Garrett squeezed her hands and pulled her close to him. Her thin legs fell of the arm and she fell into his lap. “Yes, you are.” He pressed his face against hers, and the stubble on his chin tickled her cheeks. “That’s alright. What makes you think that I would just send you away? That I wouldn’t want to see this baby?”

  Samantha f
elt a lump forming in her throat and she stood up. “I didn’t know how you even felt about us, I didn’t know if we were having fun, falling in love-“

  “Both.” He declared.

“Still, I didn’t know what I was bringing into your life. You have enough problems. This baby could have similar problems.”

Garrett stood up and opened the doors to the balcony, ushering her onto it. “You need some fresh air.”

They both took a seat on the cold stone and folded their legs. Samantha cautiously gazed at Garrett. “This baby… what do we do?”

Garrett snaked a hand out and grabbed hers. “We’ll love it. And I’ll love you, as I have been. I hope that you’ll love me too.”

She released a shuddering breath, and squeezed his hand. She ran her thumb over the parts where scales began to form. “I already do.”

  *******

  “Garrett! Garrett!”

“Yes, Samantha?” Garrett came rushing into their bedroom with Kenneth hot on his trail. He squeezed a memory foam pillow behind her back and she frowned. Samantha had endured the world’s most uncomfortable pregnancy. Garrett had sought high and low for someone with experience in this area, but no one knew how to advise. So, they gave him the usual, keep the mom happy and the baby will be healthy.

‘She’s impossible to cheer up!’ He thought, as his hand caressed her belly. “Only six more weeks, sweetheart. Is there anything that I can do?”

“Yes, you can take them out of me right this moment. It’s so hot.”

Kenneth handed her a cup of ice. “Dragon babies don’t have a ton of control over their fire yet.”

Samantha’s feet were propped on the chaise and she smiled as she accepted the ice. “I know, but they’re really burning it up in there.”

An ultrasound with a regular human doctor had informed them that Samantha was pregnant with twins. The uncomfortable expression of the doctor when a tail kept fading and reappearing didn’t go unnoticed. “I still think it would be easier if I could simply lay eggs.”

Garrett smoothed her hair back and kissed her forehead. “You don’t want that. That happened to my Aunt Julia, she had to sit on those eggs for two weeks after she popped them out.”

Samantha reached up and squeezed Garrett’s hand, his half transformed claws dangled on her skin. “I’m not taking any more time- I want to start with my patients as soon as the babies are born.”

Samantha had finished her school’s program just in time for the birth of the babies. Garrett rolled his eyes. “Let’s focus on these guys first. I’m sure that two half dragon girls will be certifiably insane.”

  THE END

  Rule Me Alpha

  Chapter 1

  Abingdon, VA - 2021

It had only been three years since the first shadow walkers entered the light, and turned the entire belief that humans were the most powerful creatures to walk the plains of the earth, into a blatant lie. But for Raven, the reality of shapeshifters, night crawlers, witches and necromancers had all too real. The only living descendant of one of the oldest Cherokee chiefs, who once ruled the Wolf Hills, she always knew the day would come when humans would have to face the horrors and nightmares that haunted their dreams and the silver screens of Hollywood. The government’s attempt to cover it up since the dawn of technology had finally failed, and with that -- chaos erupted.

The night crawlers that once stuck to their boundaries and hid in the dark, now ruled the cities. Curfews sprung up overnight, with humans hiding indoors to avoid becoming victims of the blood suckers who revelled in feeding off the innocents, as if they were discarded corpses for the taking. While the shapeshifters roamed the country sides, plundering and killing, claiming what they wanted for themselves. These were lawless times, where only the strong could survive. Humans sought out witches for protection spells. Necromancers insisted on calling up the dead, and allowing their spirits to break free from the depths of hell to torture and scare the living daylights out of anyone who encountered an evil spirit. It’s plain luck that zombies were nothing but a figment of man’s imagination. If she had to put up with rotting, walking dead people who fed off the brains of the living, she would have made sure she was on the next bus to the hereafter.

Raven wiped her brow with the back of her hand and rolled her neck, the humidity that hung in the air was suffocating and uncomfortable, but not half as bad as the pack of shifters that sat at the bar demanding service. They were insufferable, but as long as she gave them what they needed, they had an agreement. They don’t touch a single person in her town, and they get to come and go as they please. She didn’t like it, but it was her only option.

“Hey bitch!” one of the men called as he slammed his empty beer glass down on the counter, “Gimme somore!”

“It’s all out,” she said and reached for his glass.

His larger than life calloused paw of a hand clasped around her wrist and she flinched as she twisted her arm.

“I said gimme some more ale, bitch!” he growled.

Raven gave him a deadpan look and simply twisted her hand free from his grasp, “There is no more ale or whiskey, and you boys just overstayed your welcome.”

“Fuck you, I know where you are hiding your stash…” one of the other shifters slurred and stumbled off his barstool.

Raven had had enough. She could do rude, even crude, but this was getting out of hand; she was still the boss of her establishment. She reached under the counter and pulled out her shot gun, loaded with mercury heads and aimed it at the brute.

“I’ll give you one last chance, and if you don’t fuck off out of my bar, I’ll take you out, one by fucking one,” she threatened without fear.

The whole pack sprung to their feet, holding their hands in the air and mock-howled at her as they backed away. She knew them all too well, more bark than bite most of the time, but if she didn’t put her foot down with them they would take over and ransack the entire place.

“You can come out now Anna,” she said as she lodged the rifle back in place below the counter.

“I-I’m sorry Raven, they just seem so intimidating,” Anna, her bar assistant mumbled with a trembling voice, close on tears.

“You just have to man up and show them that you’re not scared of them, otherwise they will have a field day with you,” Raven said and tossed a towel over her shoulder.

Raven walked over to the door, shoving it closed and latching it down before resting her back against it. Maddox owed her big time for ruining her income. Ever since his pack had run into town she had lost all her clients, and the few that remained only ever came to the bar when the wolves were out of town, which was once in a fucking blue moon.

It was time she took the reins and lay down a few ground rules again, and the only way she was going to be able to do, that was to meet with Maddox in person.

  Chapter 2

Maddox kicked his feet up on the rusted drum in front of him as wedged his hands behind his head as he rode back on the rocking chair he borrowed from the old age home. All the old people had gone and he could simply see no reason to let anything go to waste, regardless of his agreement with Raven.

God that woman is hot, he thought as he crossed his feet at his ankles. That was one pussy he would love to sink his cock into, but instead he had to put up with these lazy bitches who don’t even know how to suck cock properly. With one sweep of his hand he shoved one of the bitches away from him. His cock was literally sucked to a point of paralysis, and what did he have to show or it? He kicked the drum away from him and stood up shoving his semi hard dick back in his pants. He had become so obsessed with Raven that nothing, and no one else could even begin to satisfy his needs.

His pack was growing restless and out of control. The lack of having his own mate by his side was a show of weakness, and they did not respect a week alpha. Caleb was also starting to show his disrespect more and more each day. Sooner or later, Maddox figured, Caleb was going to make a move on Kiara and claim her, an
d the day that happens, he can kiss his ass goodbye. Time was of the essence, he was going to have to lay claim to a female and regain the respect of his pack come hell or high water. And he knew exactly who he wanted. Raven.

Speak of the devil. Raven lacked manners, but then again, when she looked at him with those almond shaped, onyx, black eyes that could bore into a man’s soul, that was just the way he preferred her.

“Raven, how lovely of you to drop by,” Maddox said as he stood up.

“Wish I shared your same enthusiasm,” she bit back and crossed her arms, causing her breasts to spill over the top of her leather vest.

“I guess we can’t all be the same, now can we?” he smirked, “What can I do you for today?”

“Your dogs are not playing nice, and we have an agreement in place,” she hissed.

“No need to be rude sweetheart. Why don’t you sit down and have a drink, and tell me all about your woes.”

Raven glared at him with contempt and shoved the chair in front of her out of the way before stalking up to him and shoving her finger against his chest, “I’m not here to play games; if one of them fucks around in my bar again, I’ll kill them.”

Maddox smirked, wrapping his hand firmly around her wrist, twisting it away from his chest, “Of all the stupid things you could come up with, that is by far the worst idea. You know what the consequences of your actions would be if you did that.”

Raven hissed at him and tried to pry her hand away, but he kept her wrist in a vice grip, refusing to let her go.

“They need to back off, I need to make a living and right now all my regulars are MIA,” she spat out as she glared at him defiantly.

Maddox looked down at her. She was one tough bitch, no denying that. Normally humans would cower in fear at his very presence, but not Raven, she had the balls of a leader and the looks of a supermodel. His cock instantly stood at attention. He reached around her waist and pulled her closer against him.

“Look sweetheart, I’ve given you a way out and it’s up to you whether or not you’re going to accept. Join me, and your friends can come and go as they please.”
